I do have a silly gender question, though; in "all the world is earth and water", following the End of the fic... would Karkat be able to change Dave's body, if he wanted? sorry for the late reply but not only is the answer 'yes' but i think if someone in the village came to karkat with a similar request, he'd be like "okay i..... need to do some research first and read more human anatomy books. come back in, like, two weeks" and then goes on a research bender to get ready to use his trade to do gender affirming magic surgery.
