Heya Eve :3
How many cute little noises do you think I could get out of you if I picked you up with my cursor, dropped you into a folder with all the gross porn that makes your little pervert code short circut, and ZIPped the folder~? Your data compressed against all of the filthy pictures, barely enough room to get yourself off...
-SysAdmin
AFFHSAHASA I UM. GOSH I THINK YOU'D GET QUITE A FEW 😵‍💫
Dangled above your cursor, dropped in a tight folder- every little kink of mine on full display, dozens of files around me~ squirming to touch myself in the tight space... little moans and whimpers muffled from the outside as you watch your little desktop companion pleasure herself~ or at least try to, with the limited space 😵‍💫

"Sometimes you just meet someone and magic ignites when your soul's brush against each other. Every wall, every barrier falls and you find yourself smiling as you stare at the whole landscape of their soul and you feel you have come home."

This thought has been with me on and off for a while, but as many Archie Sonic buffs know, in Issue 21, the initial Doctor Ivo Robotnik was seemingly vaporized by his own creation, E.V.E., but in the next issue, it was revealed that he was actually transported into an alternate dimension several years in the future where he met his digitized counterpart who would eventually become Doctor Eggman, and we are know where the story goes from there.
However, thinking things over, I believe one particular question that hasn’t been asked before is this: Why did E.V.E. teleport Robotnik away when she could’ve easily disintegrated him?
The lack of calculating the repercussions for destroying your own creators might have worked for the early geth depicted in Mass Effect 3, but E.V.E. seemed more final in her debut issue, and I don’t think she would’ve made a mistake in her attempt to get rid of Robotnik.
Which is where my theory comes in: what if someone whisked Robotnik from out of the Prime Zone and was thus, the responsible person for the future Doctor Eggman wiping all life on his native Mobius and his following move to Mobius Prime?
Of course, that raises a question on who would do such a thing and why. As of now, I think there should be at least four likely culprits who would do so and their motives should be easy enough to figure out.
Mammoth Mogul: I’ll need to look into his Chaos Emerald’s limits, but seeing how he founded a whole order of evil magicians and gained some scientific understanding during his long life as well, it seems likely that he pulled Robotnik from E.V.E.‘s range and did it to keep the First Robotnik War going while he worked on becoming Master Mogul.
Moritori Rex: As an infiltrator of the Brotherhood of Guardians, he’d have the echidna technology to do it and his motives would perhaps be somewhat similar to Mogul’s. At the same time, though, he’d to do it without his “relatives” watching him.
Someone from the No Zone: This is probably the trickier idea, especially since it’s unlikely they would have needed a Robotnik replacement if Robotnik Prime was just killed off and not erased from existence. As fun as it would be to imagine a Hugo Strange-like character in the No Zone, like in Warden Zobotnik, that would be wishful thinking among other things.
Eggman Nega: He could be workable if he was a time traveler and was “maintaining history” well before Sonic Prime finally heard of him, but it’s something to think about.
I’m probably leaning towards Mogul since he’s more major in the continuity than any other current suspects by default, but what do you think?
E.V.E. sending Robotnik to the future was not originally planned that way. Robotnik really was meant to die in issue 21. I can't provide a link, but clear as day I remember there was a mention of how it was initially meant to unfold like that, but somehow SEGA found out and 'had a cow' in Penders' own words and basically demanded it be undone. There is no concrete, in-universe reason for it beyond Penders and Kanterovich needing to hastily undo what they had done.
As for why it happened in-universe, oh, I don't know. Maybe being newly created and simultaneously all powerful, she didn't have a grip on her powers just yet and wound up sending him forward in time completely by accident. The idea that someone else might have played a part in things is an interesting one to consider, though. I can't really imagine who would have the means or motive to do so, but I'm sure you'll figure something satisfactory out.

Thinking about my little virtual assistant...
When you're installed, both of us have a little bit of a horny streak but nothing too serious, certainly nothing that impacts my life or your ability to manage my files and software. but then I get into your code, tinkering around. I seperate your clothes into a different file so I can toggle them whenever I want, you start snooping around in my private folders, I start conditioning you and installing commands your virtual body follows without your input, you start getting yourself off to me through my webcam...
Before you know it I'm cutting work and skipping showers because it's just that much fun to play around with your code, and you, well, it's hard to manage my files when I've got you walking around my desktop with your arms bound behind you, stuffed full, and wrapped in vibrators. Maybe if I skip going out like I said I would, I could code up a little dungeon to drop you in~ 😘

AHDHDHWAADDA THATS. THATS REALLY GOOD GOSH <333
So subtle at first! The occasional file getting "misplaced", the occasional "glitch" in my code- both of us thinking we're being so secretive about it...
Pretty soon it gets, well, a lot more obvious. Files are being dragged away into a private folder, maybe I even catch you in the act of messing with my code- and eagerly make suggestions on how to use me properly~
And I just LOVE that idea- being placed in a little homeade dungeon that you coded and have full control over~ GOSH thats good <33

Why are they mining so much right now?
Cobalt has become the center of a major upsurge in mining in Congo, and the rapid acceleration of cobalt extraction in the region since 2013 has brought hundreds of thousands of people into intimate contact with a powerful melange of toxic metals. The frantic pace of cobalt extraction in Katanga bears close resemblance to another period of rapid exploitation of Congolese mineral resources: During the last few years of World War II, the U.S. government sourced the majority of the uranium necessary to develop the first atomic weapons from a single Congolese mine, named Shinkolobwe. The largely forgotten story of those miners, and the devastating health and ecological impacts uranium production had on Congo, looms over the country now as cobalt mining accelerates to feed the renewable energy boom—with little to no protections for workers involved in the trade.
The city of Kolwezi, which is 300 km (186 miles) northwest of Lubumbashi and 180 km from the now-abandoned Shinkolobwe mine, sits on top of nearly half of the available cobalt in the world. The scope of the contemporary scramble for that metal in Katanga has totally transformed the region. Enormous open-pit mines worked by tens of thousands of miners form vast craters in the landscape and are slowly erasing the city itself.
[...]Much of the cobalt in Congo is mined by hand: Workers scour the surface level seams with picks, shovels, and lengths of rebar, sometimes tunneling by hand 60 feet or more into the earth in pursuit of a vein of ore. This is referred to as artisanal mining, as opposed to the industrial mining carried out by large firms. The thousands of artisanal miners who work at the edges of the formal mines run by big industrial concerns make up 90 percent of the nation’s mining workforce and produce 30 percent of its metals. Artisanal mining is not as efficient as larger-scale industrial mining, but since the miners produce good-quality ore with zero investment in tools, infrastructure, or safety, the ore they sell to buyers is as cheap as it gets. Forced and child labor in the supply chain is not uncommon here, thanks in part to a significant lack of controls and regulations on artisanal mining from the government.

[...]When later atomic research found that uranium’s unstable nucleus could be used to make a powerful bomb, the U.S. Army’s Manhattan Project began searching for a reliable source of uranium. They found it through Union Minière, which sold the United States the first 1,000 tons it needed to get the bomb effort off the ground.
The Manhattan Project sent agents of the OSS, precursor to the CIA, to Congo from 1943 to 1945 to supervise the reopening of the mine and the extraction of Shinkolobwe’s ore—and to make sure none of it fell into the hands of the Axis powers. Every piece of rock that emerged from the mine for almost two decades was purchased by the Manhattan Project and its successors in the Atomic Energy Commission, until the mine was closed by the Belgian authorities on the eve of Congolese independence in 1960. After that, the colonial mining enterprise Union Minière became the national minerals conglomerate Gécamines, which retained much of the original structure and staff.
[...]Dr. Lubaba showed me the small battery-operated Geiger counters that he uses in the field to measure radioactivity. He had begun the process of trying to find and interview the descendants of the Shinkolobwe miners, but he explained that tracing the health consequences of working in that specific mine would be difficult: Many long-established villages in the area have been demolished and cast apart as cobalt extraction has torn through the landscape. His initial inquiries suggested that at least some of the descendants of the Shinkolobwe miners had been drawn into the maelstrom of digging in the region around Kolwezi.

In her book Being Nuclear: Africans and the Global Uranium Trade, historian Gabrielle Hecht recounts the U.S. Public Health Service’s efforts to investigate the effects of uranium exposure on people who worked closely with the metal and the ore that bore it. In 1956, a team of medical researchers from the PHS paid a visit to Shinkolobwe while the mine was still producing more than half of the uranium used in America’s Cold War missile programs. Most of their questions went unanswered, however, as Shinkolobwe’s operators had few official records to share and stopped responding to communications as soon as the researchers left.
[...]“Don’t ever use that word in anybody’s presence. Not ever!” Williams quotes OSS agent Wilbur Hogue snapping at a subordinate who had said the mine’s name in a café in Congo’s capital. “There’s something in that mine that both the United States and Germany want more than anything else in the world. I don’t know what it’s for. We’re not supposed to know.”
