#Dungeons and Dragons: The Animated Series

I'm bad at these because I can never answer just the one thing, but sure:

Last song: "Flame" from KATSEYE (the Jentry Chau theme). I don't listen to music super often, to be honest (not that I dislike it, but I have to be in the mood to focus on it. If I need background sound it's usually a podcast or a YT let's play). Part of this playlist.

Last book: The Storm Runner, by J.C. Cervantes (in progress); The Nectar of Immortality, by Roshani Chokshi (completed). Making slow progress with the former (I'm not quite as hooked as I'd like to be), absolutely enjoyed the latter (and the series as a whole)

Last movie: Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (a rewatch with the fam, lovely and severely underrated film, someday I'll write a crossover with the BG3 crew lol). Hoping to finally watch Sonic the Hedgehog 3 this weekend!

Last TV show: I've been flitting around like an indecisive hummingbird lately, so...Spy x Family (watched four eps last night, t'was cute), The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (I've watched bits and pieces over the years, but this is my first proper watchthrough), Sakamoto Days (watched the two available eps last night, I had decent fun with it, it's an entertaining premise), DanDaDan (freakin' bizarre show, but I adore it), the Ranma 1/2 reboot (very funny, but the season was way too short), and Arcane (S2 felt a little bit rushed but it's still a fucking masterpiece overall).

(if this question was intended for live action stuff, I have no idea lol, been ages since I watched anything not animated)

Last (5) thing(s) I googled: "apokolips", "miss fortune game", "chromatic aberration", "quasar", and "jason vorhees" (I did not know it was spelled voorhees, YIL)

Favourite colour: blue, red, or black (varies depending on the day)

Sweet/Savoury/Spice: definitely savory, but I don't mind sweet things every now and then. I can handle spice decently well, but don't usually enjoy it.

Relationship status: single (and not particularly looking to/opposed to mingle)

Looking forward to: playing more games, watching more shows, reading more books and comics, writing more fics. Also, Silksong (for the meme, you understand).

Current obsessions: geez, off the top of my head - Godzilla, Sonic the Hedgehog (the series overall, and Shadow the Hedgehog in particular), Baldur's Gate 3, DanDaDan, BotW/TotK, and pretty much anything that's in the Kryptonverse already.

Never gonna get over how the anime made this scene just so,, haunting and elevated. Like I love the manga but I love how the anime has taken these scenes and elevated the themes of death and rebirth with simple shots like this and it’s why even after reading all of the manga I still get excited for the anime because I *know* the anime will not only be a faithful adaptation, but also an artistic masterpiece as it uses the medium to its advantage

Trigger have outdid themselves in Dungeon Meshi, giving us an absolutely stellar Dragon Hunt. The Red Dragon was absolutely terrifying.

The animation, pacing, and writing were peak from start to finish.

drew a silly thing a while ago of eric and blythe (from my dnd game featuring the dnd cartoon characters) sparring because i think it's funny that due to eric's deus ex machina "i delete your attack" shield he is one of the only people that can keep up with sparring blythe

Really stupid and nerdy X Men as dnd classes post because I like dnd and have been getting into x men lately

Storm: Storm Sorcerer - This is already an obvious choice, but the subclass abilities also just fit extremely well (it even gives you some limited flying!)

Wolverine: Path of the Beast Barbarian - Barbarians are known for their raging ability in battle. The Beast subclass allows you to manifest claws when you are raging. Not much else to say here, other than maybe giving him a dip into Ranger for the tracking ability

Rogue: Way of the Long Death Monk - So Monks are known for being very good at punching people, no weapons needed, which is pretty much most of what Rogue does in battle. (They also aren't necessarily religiously affiliated in terms of the dnd class, just as a side note to anyone not familiar with the game.) The subclass is a bit of a stretch imo, but it has an ability that allows you to siphon life from others when you take them out, which was the best stand in I could think of for Rogue's powers. The emphasis on necrotic damage also works well for the effect her powers have on other people

Nightcrawler: Way of the Kensei Monk - Although Monks are typically best with their unarmed strikes, the Kensei subclass emphasizes the use of weapons, so it works well for Nightcrawler, who uses his swords and his fists. Monks also good at hitting and dodging out of the way, which definitely fits Nightcrawler's crazy agility. Throw in a Swashbuckler Rogue multiclass for fun, or better yet some ability that gives him the spell Misty Step (literally just a bamf spell) and you've got pretty much a one to one recreation

Jean Grey: Abberant Mind Sorcerer - Literally the telepaths of dnd. There technically are some other options that function similarly, but this subclass' features fit Jean the most by far

Cyclops: Way of the Sun Soul Monk - this one was a pretty hard fit. Monk usually wouldn't really work for Cyclops because he's not big on hand to hand combat, but the subclass centers entirely around giving you the ability to unleash literal searing bolts of light, so it was kind of hard to not go with that. Also nothing else really fit the guy
