Caretaker and Whumpee created a plan to lure Whumper into a trap and get rid of him once and for all, so he can't hurt anyone anymore.

But after being cornered, Whumper provokes Caretaker by making fun of Whumpee's suffering. Caretaker goes livid and only comes back to their senses a while after Whumper stopped coughing blood and moving at all.

(C:) "I- .... Whumpee.. I never wanted you to see me like this"

(W:) "I always wanted to see him like this"
