Dual Plate Check Valve Manufacturer in USA
Tumblr media
SVR Global is the most reputed and leading dual plate check valve manufacturer in USA. A dual plate check valve is a type of check valve that consists of two plates or discs that are hinged together in the center. The plates are designed to open in response to fluid flow, allowing fluid to pass through the valve, and then close to prevent backflow. This design allows for a more compact valve than traditional swing check valves and provides for a faster response to changes in fluid flow.
The dual plate check valve operates by utilizing the kinetic energy of the fluid to push the plates open against the force of gravity and any springs or weights that may be used to assist in closure. When the fluid flow stops or reverses direction, the plates close under the influence of gravity and any spring or weight.
Dual plate check valves are commonly used in a variety of industries including water treatment, oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical. They are typically used in applications where a reliable and fast-acting valve is required to prevent backflow or protect pumps and other equipment from damage.
Parts of a Dual Plate Check Valve:
Body: The main body of the valve, which contains the two plates and the hinge mechanism.
Plates: Two plates or discs that are hinged together in the center.
Hinge: A mechanism that connects the two plates and allows them to pivot.
Spring: A spring mechanism that helps to close the plates and maintain a seal.
Seals: A set of sealing elements that prevent leakage when the plates are closed.
Types of Dual Plate Check Valves:
Wafer Type: Wafer type dual plate check valves are designed to be installed between flanges and are held in place by bolts or other fasteners. They are generally less expensive and more compact than other types of check valves.
Lug Type: Lug type dual plate check valves are similar to wafer type valves, but they have threaded inserts or lugs that allow them to be bolted directly to a pipeline without the need for separate flanges.
Flanged Type: Flanged type dual plate check valves are designed to be installed between flanges and have a raised face to provide a seal against the flange faces. They are generally more expensive and larger in size than wafer or lug type valves.

Stainless steel valves are mechanical devices that control the flow of fluids or gases through pipes or tubes. They are made of stainless steel, a corrosion-resistant alloy of iron, carbon, and other metals.
The working of a stainless steel valve depends on the type of valve and its application. However, most valves work on the principle of controlling the flow of fluid or gas by opening or closing a passageway.
Valvesonly is the leading Stainless steel valve manufacturer in USA.
The following is a general overview of how a basic stainless steel valve works:
1. Flow control: The valve is installed in a pipeline or system to control the flow of fluid or gas. The valve can be designed to allow full flow, throttling flow, or complete shut-off.
2. Valve stem movement: When the actuator is energized, it moves the valve stem up or down or rotates it, depending on the type of valve. This movement opens or closes the valve disc or ball.
3. Sealing: When the valve is closed, the valve disc or ball contacts the valve seat, creating a tight seal that prevents fluid from flowing through the valve.
4. Actuator control: The actuator can be controlled manually or automatically, depending on the application. In automatic control, the actuator receives signals from a controller that senses the process conditions, such as pressure, temperature, or flow rate.
5. Maintenance: Regular maintenance of the valve is necessary to ensure its proper functioning. This includes inspecting the valve for wear and tear, replacing worn-out parts, and lubricating the moving parts.

Dual Plate Check Valve Manufacturer in USA
Valvesonly is a leading Dual Plate Check valve manufacturer in USA. Dual Plate check valves have a short-stroke, spring-assisted twin Disc action for increased dynamic behaviour that reacts fast to speed Rates. The valve has been enclosed for a fraction of a second, decreasing loud noise and lowering surge pressures to protect expensive pumping machinery from wind. Backward flow is not permitted through a Dual Plate Check valve. It is little and light in weight, but it has a powerful nature. It's made up of two spring-loaded plates that are joined by a hinge pin. When the flow changes, the plates close on their own, preventing the medium from flowing backwards.
Dual Plate Check Valve Uses:
·         It inhibits backward flow of gas, fluid, and air in the case of a breakdown.
·         It maintains a consistent pressure.
·         It can also function as a backup system.
·         It's often used in both horizontal and vertical application.
Dual Plate Check Valve Working:
Because there are two plates instead of one in a traditional swing check valve, the plates are smaller in area and lighter in weight. Plate opening is unique in that it first pulls up at the heel and then swings, ensuring no rubbing against the seat. As a result, the rate of seal wear and tear is reduced. Other designs are unable to include this functionality, resulting in a higher rate of seal wear. This is accomplished through the use of a unique spring action and hinge design.
STRUCTURALLY MORE SOUND DESIGN:
The valve's cylindrical body gives it the appearance of any other pipe fitting. When compared to a traditional swing check valve, a cylindrical body has a considerably more consistent stress distribution. The pressure-containing component of the Dual Plate Check Valve's cylindrical body can be constructed to sustain a large amount of weight (thickness). As a result, these valves have a notable advantage over traditional valves for severe/rugged loading situations, both in terms of safety and economies, as well as general versatility.
Dual Plate Check valve is used in many industries like
·         Gas and Liquid Pipelines Industry
·         Water and steam system
·         Cooling towers
·         Water Treatment
·         Mine Dewatering
Available Materials: Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, WCB, WC6, LCC, LCB, WCC, SS304, SS316, Aluminium Bronze.
Class: 150 to 1500

Onsite & In-House Service Available. We Specialize In Large Valve Work. Worldwide Delivery. Trailer & Skid Mounted.
PD blowers operate with a motor driving dual eccentric impellors usually via a pulley and belt transmission system. Dual impellors counter rotate within a cast iron casing. The air within the casing fed through an inlet is trapped between the impellors and the casing and with each revolution the air (or gas) is forced out of the discharge against whatever pressure exists in the system.
The clearances between the rotors and the casing parts are important if the efficiency of the positive displacement blower services Houston is to be maintained. With continuous operation the rotating parts gradual wear of and have to be properly maintained.Regular maintenance programme will increase the life of the machine and minimising downtime. Checking belt tensions, oil levels, monitoring vibration frequencies, cleaning filters, checking relief valves and leaks etc. regularly helps in increasing their life.
Starting and running a PD Blower USA low on oil result in almost immediate failure of the gears. Once the gears begin to fail, the Rotor lobes will clash, end clearances will change, thrusting the driven rotor into the free end plate and failed bearings, causing the rotor lobes to clash even further.  If detected early, the blower is rebuildable.
The most critical ingredient to blower maintenance is proper lubrication. If not properly lubricated, damage sets in early. It is important not to run or start a PD blower services when it’s low on oil because the gears will fail which results in the clash of the rotor lobes making the bearings fail.If the application involves a corrosive process gas, you may find that your blowers quickly need to be replaced as the interior components of the blower are corroded over time by the gas.  In these applications, special coatings or materials can be added to your blower to help protect your equipment and extend its lifespan.
If a critical wear and tear is noticed on the PD blower’s rotating parts it is highly recommended to have a full-service check and a full-service repair to avoid irreparable damage. The PD blower will be disassembled and the seals, bearings and other parts will be thoroughly inspected and repaired at an experienced service centre. Attention should be given to the repositioning of shims, dowels, retainer rings, O-Rings, lubrication, fasteners and fittings. Some of the key players operating in the global industrial blowers market are Gardner Denver Inc., Hoffman & Lamson, SPX and others. Top 5 Intake Modifications For Ford Focus ST and RS
Ford fell out of the performance market for a brief moment in the late 2000s. With the Mustang being their only performance car and numerous failed attempts at an updated Lightning, Ford had a lot of making up to do as they were straying far from their roots. Alongside the 2009 release of the Ford Raptor was the Focus ST which restored faith in the hearts of many enthusiasts that Ford would be refocussing their performance standards within their fleet.
The release of the Focus ST took the world by storm after Ford reestablished a beloved hot hatch model to their lineup. Paying homage to the rich rally history behind the Focus, Ford also developed a RS 500 model a year after the ST was announced. Receiving various updates throughout the years the ST became a popular vehicle amongst automotive enthusiasts as the Ecoboost platform took well to modification and gave owners a thrilling experience to drive.
In 2015, Ford announced the development of the Focus RS which offered an AWD drivetrain and updated Ecoboost powertrain. Gaining attention from all across the globe, enthusiasts couldn’t wait to get their hands on the RS to upgrade and improve the performance. After the ST and RS have been out for a while, many manufacturers have engineered solutions to increase power, sound, and fun factor.
A common modification that is done tends to be within the intake system. While Ford engineered the intake fairly well, an issue many owners run into is too much heat inside the engine bay. This built-up heat causes an increase in IAT (Intake air temperature) which results in a loss of power. Another problem owners have is the restrictive air filters that prevent the turbo from receiving maximum airflow.
Here is a list of the top 5 intake modifications for the Ford Focus ST and RS:
#1 Green Filter USA Filter Replacement
Many owners seek an aftermarket solution to the crappy paper filters provided from the factory, as well as, your everyday parts store. The paper media prevents dirt and everyday road debris from getting in the engine which means it is doing its job, but one thing many owners aren’t aware of is that it is robbing their engine of power.
The media causes a massive amount of restriction within the intake system which results in a loss of power. Since the engine is starving for air, it compensates with fuel to increase the loss in power. This not only decreases gas mileage but also fouls out spark plugs and oxygen sensors which can be expensive to replace.
Green Filter USA makes an upgraded replacement filter for the ST and RS which improves airflow and maximizes the efficiency of the turbo. Utilizing double-layered thick cotton pleats increases filtration by 15% while increasing the volume of air capable of flowing through the filter. Green Filter is the best solution for owners that want to increase the efficiency of their ST/RS and improve the performance.
Whether it is daily driving, autocross, or drag racing the Green Filter replacement option is the best upgrade money can buy for the ST/RS platform. Being a practical upgrade is an easy justification as it is reusable which also helps the environment. Simply using the biodegradable cleaner and synthetic oil from Green Filter, the air filter can easily be cleaned every other oil change for maximum efficiency and longevity.

#2 Velossa Big Mouth Ram Air Intake Snorkel System
Being that the engine bay is notorious for building up heat, Velossa engineered the Big Mouth Ram Air Intake Snorkel System to route the coldest air possible to the intake system. The ducting connects to the factory intake which then features a snorkel that is similar in shape to a horn at the front of the vehicle.
The shape of the mouth accelerates air through the filter and into the intake tract. With the extra velocity and cooler air, the turbocharger is receiving the coldest air possible. Cold air is key when it comes to turbocharged vehicles due to the increased heat from the turbo itself. Being that the turbine is compressing air entering from the intake, the air is thus immensely increasing IAT.
Receiving the coldest air possible reduces the temperature of the air after it has been compressed. While there are other solutions to decrease compression temperatures, the Big Mouth Ram Air Intake is the most affordable solution to significantly reduce IAT’s and increase performance.
The Velossa Big Mouth Ram Air Intake simply bolts to existing mounting locations and offers incredible benefits at a shockingly low price. It can also be seen as a bit of a fashion statement as well being that it is offered in multiple colors to accent the factory paint or black for owners who want a more stealthy approach.
Check Out The Velossa Big Mouth Ram Air Intake Snorkel Here!
#3 Boomba Racing Sound Symposer Delete For Ford Focus ST
Many owners aren’t too thrilled about the factory sound symposer system that was incorporated into the Focus ST. This system connects a tube coming from a diaphragm and valve to the firewall which amplifies turbo noise and induction sound within the cabin. After modifying and turning up the boost on the ST, the sound symposer is known for wearing out and causing a boost leak.
A boost leak in a turbocharged vehicle can significantly reduce power as the turbocharger is unable to produce maximum boost. While the turbocharger is chugging away, all its work is for nothing since the glorious boost it’s producing is being released through the sound symposer and not through the intake.
Boomba Racing engineered the sound symposer delete to eliminate the chance of a vacuum leak throughout the intake. This gives owners the peace of mind to turn up the boost and ensures that 100-percent of the power is being delivered through a sealed system. Deleting this system gives owners freedom of turning up the power without the worry of boost leaks or any other issues if it were to fail.
The billet 6061 aluminum block off plate provided in the kit simply installs on the factory intake manifold. Featuring a 1/4 NPT thread, a vacuum line can be installed giving the block off plate dual-functions. An o-ring is incorporated into the block off plate to completely seal the system eliminating any leaks along with a Delrin plug to seal the symposer tube.
Click Here To Purchase Boomba Racing Sound Symposer Delete System
#4 aFe Takeda Stage 2 Cold Air Intake System With Pro 5R Media
A common solution for many owners is to replace the intake altogether. Increasing the diameter of the tubing offers incredible gains in airflow, as well as, power. The aFe Takeda Stage 2 Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Media significantly increases performance, sound, and efficiency. Offering a complete bolt-on system, this intake doesn’t require modification to fit.
Simply installing in the factory location with mounting brackets strategically placed allows for an easy install. The increased diameter tubing offers higher volumetric efficiency within the induction system. Allowing more air to pass through to the turbo is essential for cooling and reducing IAT’s which offers many more benefits.
Dyno-proven gains show that after the installation of the aFe Takeda Stage 2 intake offers a whopping 19HP increase and 21 lbs/ft of torque. These gains are exceptional from a simple modification while yielding other benefits. Due to the increase in tubing diameter, the induction sound is amplified giving the Ecoboost engine a pronounced growl.
The filter provided with the aFe Takeda Cold Air Intake is where this intake shines. Reducing restriction, the 5D filter media offers exceptional filtration along with improved airflow. #5 Eventuri Black Carbon Fiber Intake System For Focus RS
Eventuri knocked it out of the park with its carbon fiber intake system. Not only offering immense style benefits but also incredible functionality. Along with this intake system is neoprene ducting that directs air from the underside of the vehicle up to the intake. This combats the notorious hot engine bay temperatures and feeds the engine the coldest air possible.
The carbon fiber section of the intake provides additional benefits as it is more susceptible to heat. Since the carbon fiber induction casing surrounds the filter, it prevents the intake tube from heating up. This can reduce ITA’s while offering a lightweight replacement that is highly functional to the efficiency of the engine.
Neoprene ducting is provided to direct the cold air from the undercarriage of the vehicle up through the intake. This is a solution commonly seen in race cars that are utilizing the front airflow through the grille for larger intercoolers and radiators. Since there is a lack of space up front, ducting is routed to the underside of the vehicle which yields great success at reducing IAT.

Stainless Steel Valve Manufacturer in USA
Valvesonly is the leading Stainless steel valve manufacturer in USA. We supply high quality valves to various industries in Mexico, Brazil, Kuwait, and Algeria.

How To: Wilwood Master Cylinder Upgrade For Mopar B-Body
If you drove during the drum brake era, long before disc brakes became commonplace, you can surely appreciate a modern vehicle’s braking ability. Unfortunately, our classic drum brake-equipped cars are risky to drive in today’s fast-paced traffic. If you’re still driving your ’60s or ’70s-era Pentastar product with four-wheel drum brakes, you’re taking a big chance. Once we finally finish building our project ’65 Hemi Coronet we call “Cool Blue,” we want to drive with confidence and be able to safely slow the 825-horsepower Street Hemi-equipped B-Body.
In our last installment, we installed Wilwood’s new Dynalite 12.19-inch front disc brake conversion kit. We choose this kit because it works with most 15-inch wheels and the factory drum brake spindles. So yes, it’s possible to have big brake performance without the oversized wheels that often don’t look right on a vintage car. Another plus is Wilwood Engineering designs, manufactures, and tests its components right here in the USA. These products are proven performers. This month we’ll ditch the drum brake master cylinder for one designed to complement these disc brakes. It’s a must-do for proper brake pedal effort and braking force when upgrading to discs.
There’s no way in the world we could use the stock, single-line, drum brake master cylinder with our new Wilwoods. First off, it’s not safe. If a brake line blows—boom—no brakes. Starting with the 1967 model year, it was federally mandated that all new vehicles be equipped with a dual-line master cylinder. Should a brake line blow out, there’s still half of the braking system to help stop you. Disc brakes require a specific master (a front- or four-wheel disc brake type master, depending on application). As a safety reminder, any vehicle equipped with a dual-line, drum-brake master cylinder will not provide enough fluid pressure to the calipers to safely slow you down. And that’s with both feet stepping full-force on the brake pedal!
We knew the experts at Wilwood Engineering would be the right people to ask which master cylinder would work effectively with their disc brake system. Fortunately, Wilwood just developed and released a new remote tandem four-wheel disc brake master cylinder. This new master gives you the option to remotely mount the reservoirs should you need the room in the engine compartment. It’s available in four different bore sizes. The 7/8- and 15/16-inch is for manual binders, and the 1.00- and 1.125-inch bore size master cylinder is designed for power-assisted brakes. Wilwood recommended we use the 15/16-inch master cylinder for our manual brake application. We also choose the new easy-access, adjustable proportioning valve that gets mounted on a bracket right next to the Wilwood master cylinder.
Converting an antiquated Mopar four-bolt master cylinder to a more modern and effective two-bolt one requires a few necessary changes for safe performance. First, we ordered a four-bolt-to-two-bolt master cylinder adapter from Mancini Racing. We also needed an adjustable, universal pushrod from Wilwood to obtain the proper brake pedal position, stroke, and travel. Perfectly pre-bent, original-appearing brake lines were sourced from Inline Tube, along with their convenient single-to-dual line master cylinder conversion kit. We only needed to make a couple of easy modifications to the pushrod and brake pedal bolt to do the job properly. It’s nothing too challenging for the average Mopar enthusiast. Hopefully after seeing how we did it, most of you will feel confident and ditch those old drum brakes and master cylinder for safety’s sake!
Wilwood’s new compact tandem master cylinder with remote reservoirs (15/16-inch bore, part No. 260-14242-BK, $279.95) will add underhood clearance next to your fat Hemi heads. It’s available in four different bore diameters (7/8-, 15/16-, 1.00-, and 1-1/8-inch) for manual and power-assisted brakes. This well-designed master will provide the braking force needed for our big Wilwood 12.19-inch disc brakes.
This adjustable, universal pushrod kit from Wilwood (part No. 330-13914, $64.74) helps to obtain proper pushrod length, stroke travel, pedal engagement, and height adjustment for safe braking.
This Wilwood proportioning valve and bracket kit (part No. 260-14248, $127.50) will allow us to easily adjust the brake pressure to the rear brakes to prevent brake lock-up. It’s neatly mounted right next to the Wilwood master for convenient access and cool looks.
Helping us convert from a four-bolt to a two-bolt master cylinder is this master cylinder adapter plate (with studs) from Mancini Racing (MREAR 6718, $39.95). Its four studs secure the adapter to the firewall in place of the stock four-bolt master. The two studs will hold the new two-bolt master cylinder in place.
The original master cylinder firewall reinforcement plate was cleaned-up and given the sandblasting cabinet treatment. It was coated it with Rust Encapsulator and 2K Chassis Black.
We measured the pushrod length to duplicate exactly the original distance from the master’s mounting flange to the center of the eyelet. Notice the new master has the four-bolt-to-2-bolt adapter mounted to correctly measure pushrod length. The shortest we could adjust the universal pushrod still left us a half inch too long.
The master’s pushrod was cut with a hacksaw to remove the excessive half inch of length. The pushrod still had 10 threads for the union, keeping the adjustable pushrod strong and safe.
The new master was mounted snugly to check brake pedal height, movement, pushrod stroke, and brake light switch alignment and operation. All checked-out ok, except the new eyelet didn’t have the 1/2-inch stub extension. The brake light would have constantly been on. We could have relocated the brake light switch for proper brake light operation…
Instead, we welded a 3/8-inch bolt to add the needed 1/2-inch length stub to the new eyelet (center). Now there’s no need to alter the brake light switch position. At the bottom is the factory pushrod-to-brake pedal bolt. We added a thin sleeve to the bolt for smooth pedal movement because the new eyelet’s hole is roughly 1/16-inch larger than the original’s.
Here it’s easy to see the original pushrod’s eyelet is thicker, besides sporting the 1/2-inch stub for the brake light switch. Notice, the two washers we added to the original brake pedal bolt for the thinner eyelet on the new adjustable pushrod. We also added a coat of grease to the brake pedal bolt and eyelet for smooth pedal movement.
We hoped this was the final trial fitment for the new Wilwood master cylinder. Before installing, be sure the pushrod’s lock nuts and union are tight. After all the nuts and bolts were secured, we rechecked brake light operation, pedal height, pushrod stroke (must be at least 1.100 inch), and pedal travel..
The Wilwood proportioning valve bracket kit is a breeze to install by just following the simple instructions. This beautiful prop valve setup features stainless lines and a black e-coating to help it look good for years.
Be sure to install the supplied O-rings before mounting or remote mounting the brake fluid reservoirs. We coated the O-rings with Vaseline petroleum jelly before slipping on the reservoirs. Secure the reservoirs with the provided worm clamps to prevent leaks.
These CNC bent, stock-appearing brake lines from Inline Tube make routing the lines a cinch. We ordered a complete dual master conversion seven-piece line set for our 1965 Coronet (part No. DBB 6502) for $155.00. We also grabbed a dual master conversion distribution block (part No. BLK 241, $35.00) and some retaining clips (part No. DBB 201, $10.50).
On the left is the five-port distribution block that replaces the single-line quad-port distribution block. On top of the five-port there are two ports—one for the front and one for the rear. The single-line block (right) only has one port on top to distribute the fluid to both the front and rear.
These dual master conversion lines were made to come directly from the master cylinder to the distribution block. We cut and double-flared them to come directly from the proportioning valve. Notice the plug at the bottom of the prop valve between the lines: It’s an inverted flare plug (3/16 x 3/8-24) used for a double-sided master cylinder.
We look forward to feeling a modernized braking system quickly slowing down our Hemi Coronet. The new Wilwood master, adjustable prop valve, and Inline Tube brake lines look and fit great in the engine bay!

Dual Plate Check Valve Manufacturer in USA
Valvesonly is a leading Dual Plate Check valve manufacturer in USA. The Dual Plate Check Valve is manufactured with unblemished trim for years of trouble-free use. The Dual Plate Check Valve is used in clean water or air pipelines that run horizontally or vertically. This valve isn't designed to hold fluids that contain particles, such as waste or raw waste. Dual Plate Check Valves come in wafer, flanged wafer, and extended designs with flanged ends that have the same face-to-face proportions as a swing check valve.
This valve should not be used with fluids that contain hazardous gases. It is designed to produce flow in the direction indicated by the arrow on the surface plate, and to close quickly when flow reversal is detected. The plate will list the valve size, model number, working pressure, and construction materials. When the fluid in the line is flowing in the opposite direction, the check valve enables flow in one direction but automatically prevents backflow. The clack valve or non-return valve is another name for a check valve.
Two spring-loaded plates are hinged on a central hinge pin in the Dual Plate Check Valve. Torsion springs seal the plates when the flow drops activity that does not necessitate reverse flow This design has a lot to offer. the benefits of not using a water hammer and not using a slam simultaneously.
VALVE OPERATION:
Available Materials: Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, WCB, WC6, LCC, LCB, WCC, SS304, SS316, Aluminium Bronze.
Class: 150 to 1500
Nominal Pressure: PN6 to PN250
Size: 2” to 24”
Ends: Wafer, Lug, Flanged
The dual plate check valve has the following benefits:
·         It inhibits backward flow of gas, fluid, and air in the case of a breakdown.
·         It maintains a consistent pressure.
·         It can also function as a backup system.
·         It's often used in both horizontal and vertical application.
Dual Plate Check valve is used in many industries like
·         Gas and Liquid Pipelines Industry.
·         Water and steam system.
·         Cooling towers.
·         Water Treatment.
·         Mine Dewatering.

Check Valve Manufacturer in USA
SVR Global is a prominent check valve manufacturer in USA with a vast choice of Check Valves to choose from. Our Check Valves are put through rigorous testing to ensure that they meet all of our clients' needs. We also provide customized Check Valves to meet unique industrial requirements.
What is a Check Valve?
Check valves are classed as self-actuated, straight-line valves. An interesting feature of these valves is the possibility to set the valve opening with a specific pressure value, to ensure that the fluid reaches users, with a certain pressure value.
A check valve is a mechanical device that allows only unidirectional fluid flow. They are called 'One-way valves', 'Clack valves' or 'Non-return valves' since they only allow media to flow in one direction.
They have two media ports, one inlet and one output. Usually check valves are formed by a shutter, a spring and a gasket.
The operating principle is very simple: as soon as the fluid pumped into the pipe reaches a pressure value that overcomes the force of the spring, the shutter will open, and it will let the fluid flow through. The higher the fluid pressure, the bigger the shutter opening will be. When the pressure value falls below the value that counteracts the force of the spring, the shutter closes, preventing any backflow.
Applications of Check Valves:
Virtually every plumbing or fluid transfer application imaginable, be it industrial, commercial, or domestic, employs check valves. Check valves are often utilized for one of four reasons in a number of applications because of how they work:
·    To prevent backflow damage to downstream equipment
·    To avoid contamination as a result of reverse flow
·    To avoid siphoning
·    To maintain a vacuum seal
Advantages of Check Valves:
Backflow prevention
Capability to withstanding both high and low pressures
Can be utilized horizontally and vertically
Used as a backup and safety system
Self-actuated
Fast-acting
Reduce downtime and production losses.
Avoid water hammer.
Reduce unexpected valve failure.
Maintenance expenditures are reduced.
Adaptable to changing flow conditions
Operating without the use of electricity
Minimal pressure drop
Disadvantages of Check Valves:
Non-operational in pulsating system
The closing part may bang, resulting in seat damage and wear.
Work in a completely confined environment.
Impossible to tell whether they are open or closed.
Internal components cannot be examined.
Occasionally, discs become caught in the open position.
Slamming discs are noisy
Hammering with water
Problems with reverse flow
Tapping & Chattering
Disc banging in the open position, resulting in damage and wear.
Cannot be operated with fluid containing solid particles as they may accumulate between the seat and disc and stop the disc from closing.
Industries that use Check Valves:
Check valves are used in sewage, water treatment, medical, chemical processing, power generation, hydropower, petrochemical, and food, and beverage processing industries for effective backflow prevention. Offshore and onshore oil and gas production, gas plants, LNG, liquid gases, refineries, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, terminals, pipelines, power, desalination, water, and other industries all employ check valves.
Types of Check Valves-
Dual Plate Check Valve
Also known as Silent Check Valve, a Dual Plate Check Valve is an automatic mechanical non-return valve, which opens with a forward flow and shut to a reversal inflow. It consists of 2 discs attached to the valve body by a pin and operated by the action of springs, which immediately start closing the valve when the fluid stops.
Forged steel check valve
Forging steel check valves are compact, sturdy, and ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. These are non-return valves that only operate in one direction. The body is built of forged steel and is available in two-port configurations: full and standard. A forged steel lid sits atop the body.
Swing Check Valve
Swing check valves use a swinging disc on a hinge to regulate the flow of a liquid, gas, or solid stream in one direction while preventing backflow from contaminating the source fluid. In other words, like all check valves, the swing valve is a non-return valve.
Swing check valves are the most common type of large check valve, and a typical example is a toilet flushing valve that rises and lowers. Swing valves normally require some type of physical motion to activate them, therefore manual twisting of the handle is a common subject. In some internal pipe systems, however, a spring check valve is integrated with the swing valve to eliminate the need for human intervention.
Description of Check Valves:
SVR Global is a prominent check valve manufacturer in USA that offers check valves having the following features-
