SPOP's poor design aside, i don't understand the logic behind giving a character a feature just to make fun of them for it.

yes, i'm talking about Adora and her hair poof.

like, moving aside genuine criticism ( the fact that it's completely separated from the rest of her hair, for some reason? even tho Nate draws it like normal ), the amount of times the show pokes fun at her hair poof for no reason just makes me feel like the writers went "she's too perfect or wtv, so let's make a trait // feature to make fun of her for, cuz everyone likes that".

the fandom finds it hilarious, but imagine if they did the same thing with Catra. i don't think the fandom would let that slide, to be honest.
