i wanted to listen to drrr's first ED on youtube, and i when i found a video, there were a bunch of izaya simps in the comments. the video was posted 10 years ago and most of those comments were 9 years old, so it makes sense for that time period. i'm curious now, though. are there still people who simp for izaya orihara?

What makes you love a character?

Oof idk

I think a lot of my favorites have similar stuff going on (all of them are big sad lol), but they’re all different in design and personality. Well, they’re also all angry. They all have that in common lol.

Design is what first gets me, then after that it’s how their relationships with the rest of the characters in their stories play into everything.

I usually like characters where they have some testy relationships in the beginning with other characters, but grow into something more than just a fractious (or downright enemies) relationship as the story goes on (Kanda/Allen from DGM; Ed/Roy from FMA; Kyo/Yuki from Fruits Basket; Izaya/Mikado from Drrr!!; Bakugo/Deku & Shigaraki/Deku from BNHA) to name a handful of dynamics I like which include big time favorite characters of mine.

So I guess what REALLY draws me to characters is how they are connected to other characters in their stories.

ok but the reason i put ed on the best boys list is for three reasons

1.) I misgendered her before so much that i feel like she deserves to be on both lists (both girls and boys cuz im about to make a great girls list rn)

2.) ed is just amazing in general so she should be on both lists in my opinion

3.) didnt they only make ed a girl to even the ratio of girls to guys on the bebop
