I had a dream a few weeks ago that the Dredge got a Mari Lwyd inspired cosmetic, and I decided to whip up a concept for it myself!! My friend TylerTheSCPguy also ended up buying me Krita, so I took it as an opportunity to learn the program and challenged myself with a digital painting!

At first, I did a few doodles on Whiteboard with my friend, trying to figure out the basic shapes and decorations. I also created a concept for a Not-Deer Unknown cosmetic, which will also be made soon. :)

Then it was off to Krita! Took me ages to find brushes that worked for me, but I eventually got the ball rolling! Here's an early progress shot from when I was fiddling with the hood drapes. This was before I had a complete grasp on layer effects so it's a little flat.

BUT THEN COMES THE FINAL RESULT

With a lot of tweaking and plenty of help from my homies, I was able to finalize the concept!! BEHOLD!! THE DRUANLWYD!!
