Dr. Beverly Crusher, Star Trek: She's the chief medical officer on Starfleet's flagship (which already makes her the best of the best) and is incredibly good at her job, but she's also command trained (technically the joint second highest rank on the ship). And once (as acting Captain of the Enterprise) she destroyed a Borg ship - something none of the male officers ever succeeded at. She holds her own against the men, and does what she thinks is right, even if it goes against orders.

What I always loved about this episode is that Picard is such a private person, that if it was anyone else being able to read his mind he would have been so uncomfortable.

But look at him here, this is his most kept secret, yet he is at ease. maybe even relieved she finally knows.

during the whole episode the fact that they are mentally linked is never an issue. it's more about getting to know each other even more then they did before (and she always knew him better then all the rest of the crew anyway).

"I feel that Picard and Crusher have had this very particular love relationship," [Gates McFadden] says. "It's very unique and it's almost Shakespearean to me. It's almost like in the sonnet of 'looks upon tempests but is never shaken'."

IDOL ⭐️ HANDS: hate how the roster needlessly breaks the 4th wall and shakes the reader out of their immersion, but do enjoy having the descriptor “Dominar of the Borg” for Lore.
