鳥山明先生追悼イラスト

鳥山明先生がご逝去されました。68歳でした。

私は「アラレちゃん」を見て育ち、子供のころ、アラレちゃんの「キーン」をよく真似て遊んでいました。

しばらくして、「ドラゴンボール」の連載が始まり、アニメは毎週、欠かさず見ていました。悟空がどんな冒険をするのか、毎週ワクワクして見ていたものです。

私は小2から眼鏡をかけていたので、子供のころのあだ名は「アラレちゃん」でした。私にとって、アラレちゃんは永遠の存在です。

そしてドラクエシリーズと出会い、鳥山先生の描くモンスターに毎回、心躍らせながら冒険したものです。

あんまりです。あまりに早すぎます。まだまだやることはたくさんあったはずです。

私を含め、こんなに大勢のファンを置いて逝ってしまうなんて、あんまりです。

つらいですが、花束の代わりです。どうか、ごゆっくりお休みください。

I couldn't believe it when I first heard the news... Sadly, Akira Toriyama, one of if not THE most legendary creator in the entirety of the anime industry, being a character designer for games like Dragon Quest, Blue Dragon and Chrono Trigger, but also creating manga like Dr. Slump, and of course, Dragon Ball... has passed away on March 1st. Words can't describe how influential and timeless his works are, and we in the anime community will forever be thankful of him. The anime and manga industry wouldn't be what it is today without Akira Toriyama. Rest in piece, Toriyama, as we are extremely grateful to you, and we'll never forget your timeless legacy.

最初にこのニュースを聞いたときは信じられませんでした...悲しいことに、鳥山明氏はアニメ業界全体で最も伝説的クリエイターの一人であり、『ドラゴンクエスト』や『クロノ・トリガー』などのゲームのキャラクターデザイナーでしたが、 『ドクター・スランプ』、そしてもちろん『ドラゴンボール』などの漫画も描いていましたが、3月1日に亡くなりました。 彼の作品がどれほど影響力があり時代を超越しているかは言葉では言い表せません。アニメコミュニティに属する私たちは永遠に彼に感謝するでしょう。 鳥山明がいなければ、今のアニメ・マンガ業界は存在しなかったでしょう。 鳥山さん、どうか安らかにお眠りください。私たちはあなたに心から感謝しています。そして私たちはあなたの時代を超越した功績を決して忘れません。
