Gotta be honest, Down Neck, S1E7, is one of the handful of episodes of the Sopranos I do not care for. I find it slow, contrived, and annoying. I either skip it entirely or fast forward through most of it. I despise the flashbacks. That being said, I’ve watched it a minimum of ten times in entirety and have watched bits and pieces many more times. In many ways, it’s College 2.0, in that it visits themes of family and heritage, but isn’t nearly as taut, exciting, or well packaged. Generally just a meh episode for me without a super memorable moment, which is not something I often say regarding an episode of the Sopranos.

i think it’s the most funny and romantic thing ever that they’re so attracted to each other in dangerous/deathly situations. in both those scenes, they are an absolute mess - percy covered in dirt, blood, and spiderwebs, and annabeth covered in muck and sewer water - and yet they find each other so beautiful. they could literally be about to DIE, and yet all they’re thinking is “wow you look so hot right now.” i just love when they percabeth like that. they are so funny.

So I was inspired while rewatching TMNT ‘03…

Thought I’d give a try at doing my own take on a mutant turtle design, combining the elements of each iteration that I’ve seen with some more animalistic turtle traits. Hope they look alright! The turtles themselves are the 2003 ones, I always thought it was a little odd they had no bridge on their shells. I did keep the three fingered hand in later sketches tho!

Poor 2003 Leo. Guy can never catch a break.

The proportions felt awkward to draw, I did end up stretching them a bit. Haha
