His full name is Nathaniel Martin Riggs Jr. As soon as he turned 18, he decided to give his father the finger by dropping ‘Jr’ and changing the order so that Martin became his first name.

Riggs’ issued weapon is a Beretta 92FS but he has a small armory in his trailer, including a Beretta M82A1M sniper rifle. Riggs is an incredibly skilled sniper, able to make shots most can’t. 

His birthday is April 20, 1983.

The 1977 Ford F-350 he drives formerly belonged to his father. While he wanted nothing to do with his father, he wasn’t one to turn down help where he could get it and took over the vehicle once he was old enough to drive. It’s been the one and only vehicle that he’s ever owned and modified to conceal weapons. 

Growing up and then returning to work near the border, Riggs speaks fluent Spanish. He also speaks several languages of varying skill level from his time in the SEALs. 

Riggs has a sealed juvenile record. After being placed into the foster system, he rebelled and got into trouble for a while until he finally got his head on straight. 

Riggs is approaching a double digit amount of tattoos, a quiet form of therapy for him. Each tattoo is a story permanently etched on his skin, a reminder of where he’s been, what he came through, what he’s been through. 

Riggs tends to play the ‘aww shucks’ country boy card with most people, allowing them to write him off or underestimate him. While he is very much true country and Texan at that, the personality he plays up hides a sharp intelligence, clever wit, and analytical mind. It also gives him the chance to operate on the down low, get access to people and places he might not otherwise. His pattern of thought is that he can’t let people down if they don’t know what he’s capable of.
