IF APHRODITE WAS A BOY

Mk and Erin this.

Mk and Erin that.

Malachi had been trying to set Mekonnen up with Erin ever since he found out that he's whipped for her.

It was cute, not gonna lie, but he was so busy with Erin's feelings for a boy that he never noticed your feelings for a boy.

Him, to be exact.

Right now, Malachi was laying on the bench in your trailer, brainstorming on to get the lovebirds together, writing ideas down in a notebook.

"Maybe if I pretend to slip and 'accidently' push her against him, then he'll have no choice but to catch her and then they'll automatically fall in love." He suggests, tapping his chin with his pin.

You nod and him, leaning into your chair. "Oh yeah, and then maybe you could track them down, strap them to a boat so they can't escpae and ship them of to the other side of the world for their honeymoon."

Malachi turns his head, looking behind him to look at you who were sitting by your desk. "Hah. Hah. Very funny." His tone was dry.

You sigh deeply before speaking up again. "Just be a good friend, go find Mk and try get his courage up for him to ask her out himself." You suggest.

"Mh." Malachi tilts his head. "Yeah.. sound about right."

A few days later Malachi walked up to you outside the set of Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4.

"Y/n, wait up!"

You turned around to see him catching up with you, a smile growing on your lips. "Hey." You greet him. "Hey." He said back.

"Look, so, Mk finally wants to ask Erin out. To be his girlfriend. And I'ma help him." Straight to the point. Great.. "Okay? What do I have to do with that?" You ask him.

"Well.. How would you like to be asked out?"

Was he really asking you this right now?

Oh my God.

"Uhm.. I uhm I guess I wouldn't want something too big. Like not a whole proposal, but something small and cute that fits me is good enough for me." You start.

"Also, something I'm intrested in, I mean, you shouldn't be standing there with a teddy bear that screams 'will you be my girlfirend'."

That's it!

Malachi's eyes lit up. "Talking teddy bear? Y/n, that's perfect! Erin would love that!" 

Oh.

"You're a genius, I could kiss you right now!" He exclaims, wrapping his arms aroun dyour waist, spinning you around in the air.

When he sat you back down, his arms were still around your waist, your faces close.

You had to gulp. "Kiss me right now?" You quote. "Uh– metaphorically of course.." His voice was quieter than before.

"Yeah... metaphorically." You repeated.

The day after, Malachi stood before you with a teddy bear.

That's how you found yourself with your headphones on and your MPC set or whatever, working on getting the sound for the teddy bear right.

Malachi was laying on your couch again. "Thank you so, so much Y/n. I really appreciate this. Erin will totally say yes."

You looked at him, gave him a small scoff.

"Who are you? Aphrodite?"

Malachi let out a small laugh.

"Yeah, sure, why not? If Aphrodite was a boy, she'd be me."

That being said, you went back to the sound of the teddy bear 'Will you be my girlfriend' kept echoeing trough your headphones.

And it made you wanna snatch them of your head and throw them against the wall because the message wasn't for you and from Malachi.

"Why are you doing this anyways?" You asked him. "Don't you have your own love life to focus on?"

The hipanic boy frowned. "What? Oh no, I don't think so.." He said with a casual tone, as if it didn't mean anything.

You sighed deeply. "Alright 'Aphrodite'."

With that, you went back to work.

So with your incredible help and Malachi's thoughts about how gratefull he was for you, he helped Mk to ask Erin out.

Right now, Malachi was waiting for Mk to return, impatiently waiting to know wheter she said 'yes' or 'no'. Probably yes though, you should see how Erin looks at the boy.

Then finally Mekonnen returned. A wide smile on his face.

"She said yes??" Malachi guessed.

"She said yes!" Mekonnen confirmed.

Dam you should see how happy the two of them were.

Mk spend lots of time talking about how perfect Erin is to Malachi. "She's amazing at dancing and she's litteraly a genius, and—"

Malachi smiled. "Oh, she's a genius?" He started

"Have you seen Y/n? She's so smart, she can sing, act, dance, produce, rap, write, draw, she made a freaking talking teddy bear for you. She's like–the most genius person you'll ever meet, and—"

"Hey." Mk interrupted.

Malachi's brows furrowed. "What?"

"You got a thing for Y/n?" His friend asked him, a frown on his face. "What?"

"The way you talk about her? Why have you been helping me with Erin this whole time while you're completely whipped for your own girl?"

The Ethiopian boy was genuinly confused, wondering why his friend would do that.

Wait.

What?

How did Malachi not realize this?

He's been so busy with everything that he never realized that he's head over heels in love with you.

"Oh shit! I screw up!"

Not leaving any room for another word, Malachi rushed away. 

And so he found himself infront of your trailer, holding a bouquette of flowers.

When you opened the door, you frowned. "Are these flowers I need to watch until Mk is ready to ask Erin out?" You asked him.

Of course you'd think any romantic gesture he did was for Mk and Erin.

"No.. these are for you." Malachi said, holding the flowers out for you. You raised your eyebrow. "Is this your way of trying to get me to make another gift for Erin?"

Malachi shook his head. "This is my way of telling you that I'm incredibly sorry for dragging you into this, ignoring your feelings and not realizing how in love I am with you."

You froze. "In love with me?" You echoed.

"Yeah... I was too caught up with helping my friends that I forgot about your feelings and my own. And I'm so sorry for that." The brunette said, tone soft.

A smile grew on your face. "So what you're saying is that you're sorry, you love me and you want me to be your girlfriend?" You state.

He nodded. "Yeah, yeah, totally, I love you, I would love for you to be my girlfriend."

You rolled your eyes. "Took you long enough."

With that, you pulled him into you for a kiss.

Malachi instantly melted into the soft touch of your lips, his hands dropping to his sides, his lips moving in sync with yours.

Malachi found something out that day.

He loves kissing you.

When you pulled away, he smiled at you. "Wow.." He breathed out quietly.

"You know, actually, some silly flowers aren't gonna make me forget all this." You teased. Then Malachi held an object into his hands. "Will a necklace do?"

The necklace hung between his fingers, and it was beautiful.

"Yes." You decided.

A grin broke onto his lips. "So does this mean we can go on a double date with Mk and Erin now?"

"No."

Dora (sees the skull-shaped rock): Yes, I saw it too! I’m on my way! (Starts running). Join me there! Meanwhile, I will look for the remaining clues! We’re not far from our goal, I feel it!

If I had a nickel for every time, I'd made an Egyptian arab goth girl self insert/oc who fights against corrupt people and bullies. Likes indie musicals, the phantom of the opera, and graphic novels.

And make an au based on my favorite media and ship them with a transmasc (coded) neurodivergent Latino boy that's loved by the masses because I didn't like the relationship they were given in canon.(Bonus points for being my fictional crush)

I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Dora The Explore Movie

Predictable but fun. Fish out of water story so some jokes are typical but they are done in good spirit so they don’t feel insincere to me.

Costume design really nailed it. Dora wardrobe (outside her show clothes) are perfect she is always dressed athletically conformable with a childish color scheme so like I said, nailed it. (I also want her backpack)

Happy the mean girl is the honor roll bitch rather then some fashionista who wont survive the jungle. So their rivals to friends story that’s going to happen will feel more natural since they are both brainy. (She also reminds me of Mermista so I love her)

Honestly happy that and they don’t spend that much time in high school, they just establish Dora is socially inept, character conflict and get into the jungle. And that Dora jungle crew is just a bunch of nerds.  (I just like Nerd Crews)

so far only things I didn’t like are:

This scene when Dora’s parents wanted to talk to Dora about the dangers of the city and just talk about raves, when it should of been them telling Dora she can’t pretend she is talking to an audience anymore since she is going to be around people.

(honestly the parents were the weakest characters of the film like everybody was playing a person while they were playing the dorky parents trope)

Inconsistency over talking animals, when they start the movie they establish most of Dora adventures are mostly her childhood imagination. But then Swiper shows up, talking, and nobody mentions it (like they talk about the mask but not the talking?) and than Boots talks to Dora and ppl think she hit her head, so whats going on? Is it normal for animals to talk or not? Also Boots acts more or less a monkey while Swiper is a looney toon...It’s just inconsistent
