Knitting a sweater is really something so special. Like I have touched every single millimeter of that piece and it has taken me multiple weeks or even months to make each and every single tiny loop of it. It really feels like I put my entire soul into a sweater.

Made some redraws at last!! So relaxing really, just LOVE drawing faces and emotions. But why are all brows so frowned? Except for Kurenai, she's the only one. I'm a little broken after all these frowns x)

OH OH and fun fact: i learned about thing like Hairline after i saw Shikamaru when i was like 11 and after that i started paying attention to it. He's some sort of a teacher for me x) And i tried at that time to redraw this picture of Sakura but was unsuccessful (i think i did tracing(??) of it after my defeat, but 'm not sure, maybe it was only Temari)

i wish i had it in me to draw some of them fully, like with line and colour and everything, but i just know they won't be that good in the end so meh

Because Anxiety and Insomnia have been my constant companions, for a week now, my brain has decided to start pondering and think (because that's all it can ever do tbh).

And while thinking about the artwork I did yesterday, I kinda put together WHY Aranea, despite vowing to *never* fall in love ever again after Halim's death, actually allowed herself to reciprocate Mephistopheles in his feelings for her, but not Halsin.

Aside from the obvious feelings that actually drew her to Mephistopheles in the first place(at least obvious to me), I rationalize that Aranea, in the end, fell for Mephisto because she subconsciously came the to the conclusion that Mephistopheles cannot virtually die.

I mean, he can, because Archdevils CAN be killed, but they are *extremely* tough and there are few mortal beings that can actually manage a feat like that, and they cannot die of old age.

So, Mephisto is, in Aranea's eyes, a constant (albeit mercurial) that is assured to never leave her side, to never leave her behind, to never leave her grieving the same way she did with Halim.

Halsin, instead, despite being the healthier choice between the two, despite being the one that would actually help her heal and eventually move on, is still by all accounts mortal, just like Halim had been.

Which means that anything could happen to him, and if Aranea were to actually let herself love him as she did Halim, she would never recover from the pain and grief. It would break her, completely and utterly.

Which is why I always saw her as tentative toward Halsin: not because she didn't reciprocate his feelings, in a measure (heck, otherwise she would have not conceived Asra with him -yeah, I know accidents happen when tumbling in the sheets, but that's not the narrative I am going for with them. There was intention, behind Asra's conceivement).

Aranea is one hell of a complicated woman, with so much unresolved stuff that she is not willing to process or face.

I don't like to think that she took the easy way out, because that is not true: if anything, she is impulsive and not always look at the long term consequences of her actions.

It would be interesting to see how a meeting between her and Halsin would go, during the 14th Century conflict between the Druids and the Dark Justiciars (because, as I mentioned a loooong while back, Aranea was there, this time already seduced and consorting with Mephisto and fully embracing her warlock and darker powers), but it would be heartbreaking because Aranea has no memories of Halsin and Asra, at all, and Halsin would never recognize Aranea, at least not for how he remembered her.

When they first met, the first time around, she was a grumpy, emotionally constipated bean that could not crack a smile for all the gold in the land, but she was still very much "human" in her emotions, and truly sweet, once you managed to get past the walls (she still had her heart, if I recall correctly).

During the 14th century.....not so much. I am still evaluating if Mephisto has already given her half of his heart or not, because that would substantially alter part of her personality (I mean, she already had plenty of darkness in her heart after Halim, but let's say that, once she becomes the recipient of Mephisto's heart, she goes from black to vantablack in terms lol), but regardless, the Aranea that Halsin would meet would NOT be the one he met when they were younger.

So yeah.

It's been decades and there still hasn't been an explanation, or even wondering from DC as to why Willis Todd has Shiva's number. Given the introduction of the Order of Shiva in the current Batgirl I'm just going to have to assume he was founding member of the Gotham chapter.

I love the idea that Jeremy used to be so starstruck by Jake (either romantic, or platonic, you decide) and when he finally got to hang out with him (maybe through Rich, or even through the play rehearsals) he's so overwhelmed at first, but finds out they actually get along with each other. It makes him feel cool too in some way
