Big Gigantic unveil slick new single ‘Where I Wanna Be’
Boulder,
Colorado duo Big Gigantic return
with new single ‘Where I Wanna Be’,
out October 2nd via Counter Records.
An
irresistibly slick slice of 140 bpm, ‘Where
I Wanna Be’ is a polished track that’s underpinned by the dreamiest of sax
solos. It draws on the same feelgood vibe of their last release, the
summer-tinged ‘Friends’ featuring
Californian singer-songwriter Ashe. Marking as one of their first releases
in over three years, the single gained 12 New Music Friday Spotify placements
including the US, Germany, Italy and Norway.
“Playing all these live shows is our favorite
place to be in the whole entire world and we owe the experience to our fans
supporting us so we wrote a song about it,” Big Gigantic explains. “A
simple way to say thank you to our fans and that were grateful for them.”
Composed
of saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and
drummer Jeremy Salken, Big Gigantic interpret traditional
electronic music with live instruments, successfully creating an innovative,
distinct sound that’s all their own. Their 15-year history spans playing in
different bands, living together and touring the country in a beat up Subaru,
with the pair going from roommates to friends to something that more closely
resembles family over the years.

The band have gone strength to strength following their fifth
most recent studio album, Brighter
Future, released in 2016 that featured special guests Logic, Waka Flocka
Flame, Griz, Cherub and many more. The singles ‘The Little Things’ feat. Angela
McCluskey and ‘All Of Me’ feat. renowned rapper Logic have received national
acclaim, with over 3 million downloads and 75+ million streams.
Big Gigantic also unveiled an immersive 3D live
experience earlier this year, with a series of unique technologies and creative
techniques paired together to create a 3D show unlike any other, using
stereoscopic 3D cameras and larger than life giant images projected across an
LED screen.
Their
transcendent live shows are a showcase of brilliant improvisation and a
tightly-knit bond between Salken and
Lalli, who alternates between keys,
sax and laptop, building a futuristic wall of sound that keeps crowds on their
feet.
A seriously high-quality production, Big Gigantic once againdemonstrate their unique sound in ‘Where I Wanna Be’.

tbh I am actually really upset that Anneliese and Dominick never actually meet in the movie until the end bc tbh. as far as arranged marriages go? they're actually very compatible and I think it would have worked fine. would they be in love? not really. but they would get along and it would be a mutually beneficial arrangement for their kingdoms. it wouldn't be a Happy ending but it would absolutely not be the worst either like Anneliese feared at the beginning.

Big Gigantic's Dominic Lalli Launches Solo Career with Debut Single "Together"
Lalli is directing all proceeds from the single to the Black Lives Matter organization.
Big Gigantic member Dominic Lallirecently unveiled his debut single as a solo artist, the jazz ballad "Together." Eschewing the heavy-hitting bass that is synonymous with Big Gigantic, Lalli delivered a sultry, pristine instrumental track in which he flexes his classical muscles.
The soothing saxophone work in "Together" serves as a shimmering reminder of Big Gigantic's roots in classical music. While the majority of the duo's catalog is fleshed out with trap and bass music, most of it brilliantly intertwines saxophone melodies along with other brass elements.
Taking to Twitter to share the news, Lalli announced that all proceeds from the single will be directed to the Black Lives Matter organization. "We are uniting our voices, working together and we wonât back down," he wrote. He also shared the official music video for "Together," which you can check out below.
âI wrote this song a couple of months ago in the middle of the global pandemic. I woke up feeling every feelingâ every emotionâ and just wrote it, recorded it from my home and posted it up online,â said Lalli in a press release issued to announce the single. âIt was very in the moment. I wrote that I found comfort knowing that we were all in this together and that hopefully weâd all come out of it a little stronger and as better humans.â
"Now, today, as the global pandemic lingers, we find ourselves in the midst of what has quickly become the largest civil rights movement in history," he continued. "This is a breakthrough moment for humanity. I feel a sense of togetherness now, more than ever, and if we keep pushing we know we will finally start to see real change where we need it most. We are uniting our voices, working together and we wonât back down."
You can listen to "Together" via your go-to streaming platform here.
