Positivity Prom Week 8

And I’m actually doing this on time/early for once! lol

Share something you’ve created specifically for your wip, whether that be artwork, a playlist, or a moodboard. Do you refer back to these things to help inspire you while writing?

My main thing is playlists! If a song’s vibes remind me of a story I’ll toss it in the playlist so I can easily get those vibes again when I wanna write lol. Surprisingly tho, I don’t have a lot. Only 6 total, so I’mma share vibes and one or two specific songs that I really love in the playlist bc why not :P

First up, Astral. “Listen, Astral doesn’t have a theme” I say, you know like a liar, as I shove the three songs titled Home under the rug. General vibes are homesickness (wow who coulda guessed :P) and wanting something more. Some highlights: Living Louder by The Cab. Specifically for the line “Cause we’re all just kids who grew up way too fast” because that is such a mood for my Astral kiddos.

Next up is Nova! Which is a very fun playlist that kinda goes all over the place lol. Main vibes would be angsty rebellion, and trying to find a place where you belong, and some lowkey romance too lol. Highlight for Nova is Ghost Town by Tilian. This song is just so Jay: "There’s meaning in the drag of a cigarette”, “I never faked a meaning, I never forced it”, and “At the end of the day we’re both still alive”

Next on the list is not exactly a writing playlist, because it’s Band AU. This one is less for the vibes and more “Here’s all the songs so far I can think of that I’ve integrated into Band AU”. So, lots of the bands that Midnight Run and The Sirens steal their sound from, which means lots of rock, pop punk, heavy metal, and all the genres in between Highlight: For Baltimore by All Time Low, because whenever James plays it around Aiden, Aiden will drop everything to kiss him at the line “Shut up and kiss me now”

Next playlist is for Dumbass Immortals! Which.... idk if I can give general vibes. They’re all just pretty specific to Jayy and Harmony’s dysfunctional af relationship. Smoke is Harmony and the later years of their relationship, Letdown is Jayy and the early years (more specifically. Back when they’re first engaged lol). Home is a general vibe for those two, and I Will Hide Myself Away gets to be on the playlist because I was listening to it obsessively when I first came up with these dumbass immortals lol

And the final original wip playlist is for Stars! Which is generally a lot of slower stuff with punchy lyrics lol. Vibes are romance and trust. Make of that what you will lmao Highlight for this one is Mind over Matter (Acoustic) by PVRIS, for the lines “So just trust me, you’ll be just fine. I need your trust just for tonight” and “This is not a place in my head, reach out your hands and tell me just what you feel. This is not just all in your head”. They fit so well, even if explaining why would be a spoiler oops lol

The actual last playlist is for my still-untitled, currently-on-the-backburner Royalty AU TUA fic, and the playlist is... a mess that I can’t explain except for two songs lol. First off is Run Boy Run by Woodkid, for obvious reasons of it was in the show lol (and is probs one of my favorite scenes of TUA). Second is Death of the Robot with Human Hair by Dance Gavin Dance, which earns its place on the playlist for the line “Swallow your pride my soldiers and embrace your abilities” which. Gotdamn if that ain’t Hargreeves with the kiddos lol

oh yea...drag race us finally had an elimination and it was...unfortunate

so like, they had a scripted acting challenge and for the most part it was alright, but the ppl in the bottom were like....y

so lala and kahmora i get, they struggled a lot...but denali? really? i thought she’d be safe lol. some ppl are saying that it’s because she had the lead and didn’t fully catch all the references ru + co peppered in but like...girl, i feel like drag race is like, “did you get this 80s reference? no? what do you mean you weren’t born then?”

not everyone has seen valley of the dolls, mommy dearest, etc. if they need to, send them a watch list for drag race prep lmao  

anyways, joey jay and elliott were both awful as well, but they got safe placements.

the runway theme was trains (as in, something trailing behind you) and with outfits like that, for lipsyncing, you need some sort of reveal/adjustable costume if the song is fast paced (from what i saw, a handful of ppl were wearing jackets with trains, and if symone was in the bottom, she could’ve just thrown her do-rag off lol) 

the song they picked is very much a dance song and to have a queen wearing a dress with a train that is hard to move in is...questionable. kahmora was 100% going home, but she tried lol. her dress was gorgeous! probably the best look on the runway. also, chicago drag is so good! i watched denali’s youtube video it was amazing i love chicago drag (i will move to chicago one day lol)  

but yeah the bottom should’ve been elliott and kahmora (elliott would’ve probs won idk tho)

symone is v clearly the frontrunner (but next week’s trailer seems to be setting her up for low placement lol) and elliott vs a bunch of people (kandy, tina, tamisha). elliott is the aiden zhane of the season lol.

After fatal innocence, do you have any other awesome ideas for fics ? Also, how do you come up with your ideas?

Yeah, kinda. For one-shots, I’ve got a whole list of ideas that are ready to be written down, I just gotta get up the energy to do the thing. For multi-chapters (which I think is what you’re actually asking about), I have like three non-fleshed out “ideas.” I don’t know which I’ll end up doing next… it’ll probs be whichever ends up having the most fleshed out plot outline by the time I finish Fatal Innocence. 

For coming up with my ideas, I have a never ending document of random ideas written down on my phone. Like, sometimes I’ll think of a really cool line but no context, and I write it down. Or I see an odd interaction between two strangers at the mall, and go that was Bellarke af, write it down. Sometimes, I steal setups from old sit com episodes and think that it might be an interesting situation to come back to later, and it gets written down. 

Then, once a week, I transfer all of those random notes from my phone onto my laptop and I organize them. Some things get put in the “small” list, meaning they’re just little convos or aesthetics or settings that could fit into anything really (ie. in Fatal Innocence, I plugged in the idea for the “asshole tax”). Then, I have a “big” list, which has bigger ideas that’ll play a much larger part in the process of developing the plot (ie. when I wrote down that I liked the story set up of Bellarke being strangers and ending up on a deserted island in Wrecked)

Sometimes, if I have a cool set up but can’t figure out plot, I’ll get drunk (Drunk Alex doesn’t throw away ideas as liberally as Sober Alex does), and then make a list of everything that could possibly go wrong in that situation. Then, Sober Alex shows up the next morning and figures out how to make most of those ideas into a solid plot. 

But, usually I end up grouping big and small ideas together based on if they feel like they could go together. Most of what I write is heavily influenced by other tv shows in the first place, so a lot of plot inspiration comes from there. But I try to deviate as much as I can, and that’s where my list comes in. 

I’m not sure if this is clear or not. But, for example, I’ll walk through how I came up with Double Infinity (SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ DOUBLE INFINITY). First, I realized I liked the idea of Bellarke in a Revenge-type situation. But, Clarke wasn’t a perfect fit for Emily Thorne (I mean, now I know how I would do it, but back then I couldn’t figure it out), which meant that I had to fit Bellamy and Octavia into it, which immediately forced me to deviate from Revenge since the “Emily Thorne” of the story wasn’t isolated to begin with. I didn’t like the idea of Clarke being a “Daniel Grayson” type character, so I went to my list, and saw that at some point, I really liked the idea of a story from Bellamy’s POV where he had absolutely no idea that Clarke was like a super-spy. And then I was like ooooh, perf. Clarke could just appear to be a “Daniel Grayson” but really be an “Aiden Mathis” type. 

Plot wise, I started picking the parts of Revenge I really liked, ie. the fake wedding, the dramatic Conrad confession, etc, and threw those into the plotline, but because I made Clarke be in on everything that goes down, it altered how all those parts of the normal plot would have played out. Then, I started filling in the holes with things from my list. The convo where Bellamy jokes about Clarke having a hitman on speed dial was taken directly from the list. Echo’s storyline was a modified storyline from the list that I had in mind for Clarke (but I’m really glad I used it on my best friend Echo). The home video where Bellarke met as kids was taken right off the list too, except I originally had it in a much softer context.

The Blob that Ate Everyone: What kind of things do you like to write about (if anything at all)?

So many things. Anything supernatural really. I love writing portal fantasy and characters with superpowers. Also fairytales and fairytale retellings are super fun to write! Mostly fantasy and horror though with a bit of crossover into science fiction occasionally. Honestly anything weird.  

Phantom of the Auditorium: Have you ever been to or been in a play? What play(s) have you gone to/been to?

Oh gosh this answer’s going to be long. Let’s see, the show’s I’ve seen were Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin (on Broadway), Wicked, The Lion King (on Broadway), War Horse, A Christmas Carol, Cats (@thedemigodoffandoms is prob never gonna forget that haha), and I think thats it? I went to one about Martin Luthor King Jr. for school but cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. The first play I ever acted in (and the only one based on an existing play) was The Hobbit for my school (I played the Goblin King even though I was a tiny fifth grade girl lmao). I was set designer in grade 10 for Into the Woods. Then assistant stage manager for my school’s productions in grade 11 for The Drowsy Chaperone and in Grade 12 for Forsooth, My Lovely.

Did this get away from me? Yes. Do I care? No. But since it got away from me and I got too excited, this is super long and I'll be kind and put it under a cut off when I get home 5. which oc insists on having the aux cord?Hmmm. I feel like Aiden and everyone let's him bc he has a good taste in music. He's so smart but never has ambition to actually try. I'm sure he would have flunked out of school if it weren't for his test scores.15. which ocs get the most sleep?Probs Myles bc he's the kind who'll sleep ANYWHERE. While all the others are sleep deprived and plagued by there traumas, Myles just lays down and sleeps. Next would have to be Aiden, bc Aiden can only sleep when he's sleeping beside Myles and as I stated, Myles sleeps anywhere and every where. Then comes Koraline bc the girl slept in horrible situations/places so she's taken nicely to a comfortable bed and warm blankets not thinking to take advantage of that. Grayson and Akaillia are normal sleepers I suppose. Grayson tosses and turns and throws pillows and puts on blankets - takes them off - brings the pillow back, tosses left and right - tries his stomach and feels strangled - tries his side and just feels uncomfortable under the springs and the overly fluffy pillow - throws the pillow off again and lays in the most uncomfortable looking position and finally dozes off but since his sleep isn't solid and he's on high alert even when sleeping, Akaillia gets more than him. She puts her head on the pillow and makes no movement but it takes forever for her to fall asleep - when she does it's solid. Malia and Hunter are tied for last place though I suppose in reality Malia is last and Hunter is just super super closer. Hunter has night terrors and will wake up at random hours with a sweaty face and quickened heart rate, sometimes he doesn't remember the dreams and sometimes he does - when he does he can't fall back asleep and when he doesn't his sleep is thin and he'll wake up all throughout the night. Malia literally doesn't sleep. Maybe she'll get in an hour or two but her mind is constantly running and she always feels the need to busy herself, so instead of sleeping she'll make herself busy while also trying to be discreet (she doesn't want to wake up Grayson) most times she ends up going for jogs or quietly cleaning the house. Grayson always wakes so she eventually just lays in bed reading or something bc her poor babe deserves sleep even if she can't get any. 16. describe the phone cases and phone wallpapers of each oc.Akaillia has one of those phone cases with the glitter in it that moves around when you move it. Myles is always playing with it. Her lock screen is a sunrise with Koraline's silhouette - a picture she took while on a morning hike with her and Hunter and she just loved it and found it aesthetically pleasing. Her home screen is a selfie of her and Hunter with the dog filter (!!)Malia's not a fan of phone cases. She doesn't like holding them or the look of phones in them so her screen obviously has some cracks and scratches. Grayson continuously nags her to put one on but she always ends up taking them off. Her lock screen is a big picture of all of them sitting on the couch laughing -- all of them entangled onto one couch. Her home screen is a picture of Grayson hugging her and kissing her cheek bc why not.Myles' phone case is one of those big squishy ones of a food like a pineapple or something random like that. His home screen is a picture of him and Malia -- Malia laughing at something he said and him looking proud at the fact he made her laugh (friend goals). His lock screen is a picture of Aiden with a dog -- the dogs hair as fluffy and curly as Aiden'sKoraline has a black on black otter box case and her lock screen is a picture of snowy mountains. Her home screen is a picture of her and her little sister when they were younger. the part to pay attention to in that look from stiles is actually in the very beginning before the camera zooms all the way into his face. as hes stuffing his bag he looks to the side and you can tell the moment he sees her because he stops, his movements pause and his body stills. to me lydia looked like she was just finally discovering her feelings and feeling that fresh happiness that you feel with something/someone new .. she looks giggly whereas stiles looks confident in his words and his look ... hes no longer giggly or spastic over her hes just kinda reveling in the next part of his life - lydia.

SA- A checkup

After Val moves to Rubicon City, Cirrus goes to check on him. His welcome is not warm whatsoever. 

“The only good thing about Cross Airlines is that they have free Wi-Fi.” As Vincent left the plane, Aiden followed him. They walked into an airport, where many passengers were waiting.

“True that.” Aiden said. They stepped onto an escalator and traveled up a floor to the baggage claim.

“We’ll just hit the road once we grab our bag, and then drop in at RC central. We’ll be there in two hours if we’re lucky.”

“Right.” Aiden smiled at the tiles on the floor, which formed elaborate pictures. “Any news on how Val’s doing?”

“Perfectly well, according to school reports. He’s quite the troublemaker, I’ve heard. Nearly got into a couple of fights. Snaps at the teachers. He’s a handful. But he’s made a couple of friends.” The pair stopped in front of a baggage carousel. “One being the other boy that has been recruited into the Ducklings program.”

“Who, Adamant?”

“Yeah. They hit it off pretty well, actually.” Vincent lifted a plastic suitcase out of the baggage carousel. 

“Nice.” Aiden pulled out his suitcase, which was slightly worn. “Come on, let’s go find the car.”

“Where is he?” Miss T growled as she read the e-mail.

“Well, his flight just landed.” Layla took off her headphones. “As far as I can tell, nothing’s coming our way. Related to him, at least.”

“And how long is he staying?”

“He’s booked a hotel room. He should be popping in for only an hour. Also, he wants you to bring Amplify in.”

“I hope he isn’t going to do anything crazy.”

“Oh no, he’s just here to make sure Val’s adjusted.” Layla held her hand out. A series of rectangles appeared in front of her. “I assume he’s already looked at school reports, which don’t look too favorable.”

“Which means?”

“If we compare them to everything before the big move, there’s been no change whatsoever.”

“I still don’t understand why he chose a troublemaker like Valentin. I understand he was targeted by Angel, but that boy has suffered trauma at his hands, and that is no reason-”

“Perhaps not. Anyway, I’m heading down to lunch. Would you like to join us?”

“Can you bring me the usual? I’ll be busy preparing for Cirrus’s visit.”

“Extra tomatoes and mustard? Sure!” Layla scrambled out of Miss T’s office, leaving her alone.

“So? How was the welcome?” At a fast food restaurant, Aiden chomped down on a burger. 

“Interesting.” came the reply. “The architecture’s quite nice, but I was almost used as target practice for some lady throwing razor blades. As well as nearly burnt by a burst of flame. And then stabbed in the shoulder by a needle from some self-identified doctor. Followed by being attacked by a deranged lady in a cat costume. She called herself Calico and dragged me to the branch head’s office.”

“Rough day.”

“Yes, well, it’s not over. I’m still waiting on Amplify. Like I said, I’m going to need your help with him.”

“No prob, Vince.”

“Finish up that Ranch’s taquito with extra jalepenos and get over here. Please.”

“No problem, boss.”

As soon as Aiden walked through the door, he was greeted with curious stares and familiar faces. A woman in a magician outfit played with a deck of cards while staring at him. Aiden quickly moved on, but suddenly bumped into someone. 

“Sorry.” Aiden recognized the face. It was the woman he noticed at the branch meeting six months ago. He stuck his hand out and introduced himself. “Aiden... Aiden Keri. I’m, um... ”

“Phoenix. I know.” The woman shook his hand. “You seem worried. Are you all right, Aiden?”

“I’m fine.”

“Are you waiting on someone?”

“Yeah, my friend... ”

“Oh. Vince, right?”

“Yeah, I think he’s in a meeting... ”

“No problem. I’ll take you to him.” 

Aiden followed the woman to a room marked “TRAINING FACILITY #3″. The center was huge, he thought. He also wondered who the woman leading him around was. All he remembered was that she was an English teacher who played softball once. She looked attractive to him- a smooth, mature, and serious face framed with black and blue hair, and a pair of well-manicured hands that meant business. The rest was hidden behind a pair of yoga pants and a T-shirt.

“Um, who are you?” he asked.

“Layla Hauja. Otherwise known as Searchlight.” The woman did not turn around. 

“What do you do?”

“I am the branch head’s right hand. I organize and communicate with the other agents here. Occasionally I also work in the field, but I am not well-known by the populace. Frankly, I like it that way.” She laughed. “I’m really more of an office worker than a superhero.”

“All... right.” Aiden blushed. “I, uh, noticed you at the, um, director’s meeting last year. In, uh, Detroit, was it?”

“Where Vince proposed the Ducklings program?”

“Yeah.”

“I remember that meeting.” The woman pointed to the door. “Vince is waiting in there. He asked you to be careful and not to argue with any of them. One’s got quite a sharp tongue, I recall.”

“All right.”

Inside, Vince watched the three Ducklings perform a strange stunt- Amplify sitting on Thunder Witch’s shoulders, who was in turn sitting on Adamant’s shoulders. 

“You guys are children.”Kat growled, struggling to maintain her balance on Jake’s shoulders while balancing Val on hers.

“Hey, this is fun.” Val laughed. “We just need a trench coat and we can save money at the movies.”

“How’d that happen?” Aiden asked.

Vince explained. “While you were waiting, Booster-”

“It’s Val to you, old fart!” Val shouted.

“Sorry, Val, decided to hop on Jake’s shoulders. Their rationale being that Val was weightless and Jake had super strength. I told them that in such a scenario, they would only need one of their powers. So they brought Kat in.”

“Oh. So, what did you need?”

“I want you to help me monitor them. Tell me what you notice. I’ll get a training bot out for them.”

As he spoke, a hole opened in the wall and 

“All right... ” He turned to the kids. “Who’s first? Val? Jake?”

Kat cracked her knuckles and stepped forward.

“Kat. All right.”

Kat smiled. She grabbed the ends of her gloves and tugged. They exploded into a mass of cloth, transforming Kat into a superhero wearing a short black and golden cape with a hood and golden mask. 

“Give it all you’ve got.” Vince reminded.

Kat made no motion of acknowledgement. She jumped forward, her hand crackling with electricity. The robot dodged her first attack and aimed a punch at Kat. Kat hopped on her hands and launched into an electric spin.

“Okay. Now Val, I want you to join in. Reminder that the robot is stronger than you.”

Val nodded and threw himself into the fight. He tugged on his scarf. It exploded into a gray suit and mask. He twirled a trident in his arms. He jumped high into the air and landed a forceful kick on the robot, knocking it back. Kat’s next kick landed on the ground. She glared at Val before continuing to fight.

“Turning up the difficulty level.” Vincent said. “Jake, you’re in.”

“Now?”

“Yes, now!”

Jake jumped into the middle of the fight. Val noticed and repositioned his feet. Jake held his hands out and caught Val’s feet. He launched him back at the robot. Val jabbed the head of the robot as he flew into its head. The robot fell over. Kat growled and sunk her fist into the robot’s circuits. One zap, and it was toast.

“There. We took it down.” she said. “What’s next?”

“Your analysis is complete.” Vince said. “Aiden, tell me what you picked up.”

“Val and Jake have very good sync. Without even uttering a word, you managed to land the final blow on the bot together.”

“Thank you, sir.” Jake beamed.

“Kat was out of touch with both of you, however.” he said. “While I have no doubt Kat could have taken the bot on her own, she was unable to compromise with you. When it’s a singular target like this, all allies need to focus their fire- and be able to work with their teammates.”

“That’s their thing.” Kat pointed to the boys. “Not mine.”

“Therein lies the problem.” Vince said. “Someday, all three of you might face a foe as powerful and intelligent as Angel. You will not win alone against him, Kat. Especially since your powers are best only at short range.”

“So are his!” Kat pointed to Val.

“We’re training all of you how to shoot in the coming weeks.” Vince continued. “Until then, I want you three to keep practicing. And Kat, if you could spend some time with them to learn how to compromise your skills and moments of attack, it would be great.”

Kat rolled her eyes.

“Do you want to be my first test subject?”

A pair of red glowing eyes floated above the young woman’s body. 

“Stay away from me, you monster!” The woman pushed against the approaching man.

“That tickles!” The man laughed as the woman pushed his face away, then pinned her hands down. 

“Monster!”

“This won’t hurt a bit, my dear.” 

A brighter flash of red light.

“The Dark Angel. Aren’t his wings beautiful?” The man’s voice grew soft and sultry.

“Yes... ” the woman whispered back. 

“Perhaps you would like to be embraced by them?”

“Of course... ” The woman moved into Angel’s arms. She sighed with pleasure as his wings curled around her.

“You are such a lovely woman.” Angel whispered. “Would you do something for me?”

“Anything... ”

“Feed my power. Take this.” Angel worked a knife into her hands. “Sink it deep into your chest. Let the blood spill all over me.”

“Of course... ”

Angel watched as the woman shoved the knife into her chest. Blood splattered all over their clothes. She pulled the knife out and grabbed him before dying in his arms.

“Good night, my dear.” Angel laid the woman on the ground and folded up her dress and arms. “There we go. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.”

hi hello howdy ! my name’s lia i live the wonderful land of est but fun / mun fact i was actually born & raised in gmt. this is my baby dakota, i’ll leave some information under the cut along with some wanted plots if you wanna read it.

past.

( death trigger warning ) so i was thinking about dakota actually being born into a family of really brutal hunters, maybe if the main approved of it the sirens lured them into mystic falls to shake things up. but it wasn’t long before supernaturals started going missing and some of the locals wouldn’t stand for it. she was told about vampires, werewolves, witches and everything in between at a young age, to her they were monsters and something to steers clear of at any cost. with the promise of her parent’s training her when she was older she was very careful around other children and adults in the town. it was when dakota was about seven she woke up one night to a ruckus outside, being the curious lil bean she is she followed the noise down the stairs and to the front door which was wide open. she ended up watching as her parents were brutally murdered by one of the creatures she had been warned about. being only seven and not having ever been exposed to something so gruesome she was so traumatised that she somehow suppressed her memories of that night and a lot of her previous ones with her parents, she was left with only very vague memories of them and no knowledge that they were hunters. ( i think it’d be a really cool future plot if something triggered them, but i wanna develop her character more first. ) thankfully josh and aiden were willing to adopt her despite her birth parents and their history, neither have told her about what really happened to them. thus we end up with dakota today who has no idea about who she really is and what happened to her birth parents.

personality.

dakota is the kinda gal who will not take no for an answer. she gets hella fighty, like she doesn’t care who or what you are she will fight you, sass you, challenge you, she literally gives zero fucks but there’s something really loveable about it. she also likes getting involved with everything, it’s like she has to know what’s going on in mystic falls whether it’s drama or danger  otherwise she’ll exposed. town gossip dakota rosza lol. her motto is to live life day by day and not worry about tomorrow, that being said she doesn’t really have any plans for her future yet she’s just here to have a good time. she loves attention and she loves to be spoilt it’s basically the way to her heart, literally tell her she’s cute and buy her things and she’s yours. she’s also a world class drama queen, she overreacts to absolutely everything & she loves to blow things waay out of proportion so watch out.

connections ?

just some ideas, i’d love to plot with everyone. &  i’m not fussed about gender.

i’d really like for her to have a friend who’s very well put together, knows exactly where they want to be in, lets say ten years, basically her opposite. kinda like a mom friend i think they’d constantly be telling alexia to stay out of trouble, watching out for her and making sure she’s okay and it’d work the other way around too, dakota would encourage them to be more outgoing, to kinda let go and live in the present.

a toxic relationship ? maybe with someone a bit older, i’d love for dakota to have an on / off, love / hate relationship, one minute they’re throwing everything but the kitchen sink at each other and then next they’re making out and saying they’re sorry. and it’s just an endless cycle. they’re basically really bad for each other and they know it but they literally just can’t stay away from.

that one friend she’d literally do anything for, probably a smol bean who she literally just wants to cuddle 24/7, they’d be so cute like they’d go on lunch dates like every other day and they’d feel comfortable talking about their problems to each other and honestly dakota would probs commit murder for them.

i think a motherly figure and / or a kind of older sister figure would be cool since she has two dads, someone she’d go to about girl problems or when she feels kinda of out of place considering she basically just lives in a house full of testosterone.

a vamp she lets feed on her ? i know it’s weird but i loove these kind of plots, she’d probably gets kicks and little adrenaline rushes from it which is why she lets it happen.

another interesting one would be the person who killed her family, bearing in mind it was twelve or thirteen years ago i think it could make for a pretty interesting plot. i might submit this as an official wanted connection though because it’s not something small.

drag race uk was good this week but like....looking at some of the outfits...why was joe black and bimini in the bottom? i mean...bimini i get? but like...tia could’ve been in the bottom for similar reasons to joe black...as could a’hora and i am honestly not a fan of veronica’s green drag (it’s very plain imo). i thought a’hora and bimini would be the bottoms from the outfits but idk. i althought thought that tayce would be in the top. kind of surprising but i love lawrence chaney and i think the show is setting up a lawrence vs herself thing. there’s no super clear rivalries yet

whereas...drag race us finally setting up something good

last week, it seemed to be setting up tina as a villain and then there being a mik vs herself (more like, mik vs the fact that she’s a trans man and the first rep of that on drag race and it’s being made into a storyline/she may be pushed towards the win) 

whereas w symone, she’s very clearly a front runner w her fashion and performance style

and then elliott is getting an underdog edit

and i was kind of annoyed by everything and then this week happened and drag race...slapped

first off, the queens who lost their first lip syncs turned it out. i think they had more on them, so they had to show more. although, idk which runways i liked more....lemme look through them:

i think i liked the first group’s looks more? but i mean, idk. 

but....the loser group’s performance/lyrics/song was SO GOOD

olivia or utica ms congeniality 

joey jay will go home wearing a wig

kahmora is getting all the storyline in the loser premiere because she either goes home early or it’s setting her up as protag (same w gottmik + kandy in winner premiere...but i dont think kandy will get that treatment because i think she is more well known before her premiere in comparison to dahlia sin whose entire character was “im pretty” and she can’t do anything else...but then again kahmora feels very...that)

denali is probs the lip sync assassin of the season (or lala ri...maybe even joey jay)   

lala ri and tamisha will have drama (i think it’ll be short term, like brita vs aiden, 3 episodes)

losers vs winners drama

kandy muse will probs be compared to aja a lot if she makes it past the next episode

symone seems like someone who will win a lot of challenges
