the year is 2020, boom does 3 days of spd zoom academy and flunks out. doggie cruger looks around at his empty lab and thinks, well, what's the worst that could happen? i can give this poor sad little man a job. we all need a little stability in these unprecedented times.

Here’s a pair of Doggie close-ups, one from “Abridged” and one from “Missing”.  For being from 2005, I think this practical effect has aged remarkably well.  I’m not 100% sure if John Tui was in the suit or if he just did the voiceover; in either case, he then got to be onscreen next season as Daggeron, so it worked out for him.
