Is your dog licking and scratching all the time? Do not blame your pets; there is nothing to blame the pet for these habits. Their skin condition may be the real culprit. If your dog is developing these problems, it is time to understand why they are doing it. Skin infections are common in dogs.

opposite side of the coin: I see a lot of ppl get scammed by the "mini berne(ect)doodle" line where they end up with a dog thats 10x the size they expected, but recently we had a client come in with her mini bernedoodle who was straight up a regular 10 lb poodle. this was hilarious to me
this happens to us too!!!!! doodles are obviously the worst offenders but the other day i went out to meet a "great pyrenes mix" and walked out to a 35 pound pit-ish shar pei. not even a double dew claw.

The worst thing about skin picking disorder is that no sensory toy or whatever can perfectly replicate that feeling. It's not just about scratching or plucking or popping something with my fingers or a tool, it's about feeling it come off my skin. Like I wanna feel both ends of it, and a toy can't replace that

I mourn the fact that I didn’t know about dog sports as a kid and that family circumstances likely wouldn’t have permitted participation in them even if I had.
Our family dog Charlie would have loved and excelled at so many, I’m sure. He learned things after one or two repetitions. Insanely food motivated, HIGH prey drive, athletic, stable, just loved life and doing things and interacting/being involved. Dock diving, barn hunt, lure coursing, agility, rally, perhaps even flyball, disc, I could imagine him loving.
He had such a wonderful, long life, but the potential, the POTENTIAL.
Charlie pictured below at 13 years old crushing a hike like it was no big deal.

I understand lmk isn't a completely faithful adaptation (Also the murder monkey tone down cuz kiddos) but is it that bad of one? I got into LMK first and then started looking into jttw but haven't had time to sit down and read it just yet (school be like 🙃) I've seen some people say it's a pretty good one, and others seem to really dislike it. After your posts about lmk I'm curious about your opinion? Is it just the fandom or the show as a whole? Cuz I'm kinda with you on the buff, that's funky to me too, but curious if that's your only issue with it.
Ramble underneath!
For me personally, I don't have much of a problem with the show itself although there r some bits in the show I grew to dislike haha Especially when they downplayed DBK and SWK's friendship replacing DBK with Macaque KSKSKSKS Another thing is that I don't like the fandom much coz sometimes I just see takes that are so devoid of the characters from the og novel and they state it as fact KSKSKS. For ex. making SWK not being able to read is one irritating take. I really don't like it when ppl dumb SWK down because in the book he really is clever and conniving. Also, I'm gonna be honest here the amount of shadowpeach I see started to irritate me as well KSKSKASKLJKL Like a lot of my previous opinions about the LMK show and fandom changed ever since I started reading the book and looked more into Chinese culture jsjsjsjs I am no expert mind you and I have not finished reading the book yet, but I wish some ppl just did basic research you know KKSSKSD I know there r some ppl in the fandom who does put in the effort to learn more about Chinese culture and mythos but I feel like they r the minority here. I don't like to associate myself with the LMK fandom anymore but I'll still watch the show because I like the animation I guess HAHAHAHA. Anyways read JTTW you won't regret it JSJSJSJ

My dog has been having senior moments, such as randomly forgetting what she's doing or trying to walk into a street, and I've been calling her "Mr. President" when it happens.
Like, "No, Mr. President, we can't walk into oncoming traffic. That's how we get killed!"
#it makes me sad that she's so old. and it's only in the past couple months that she's been doing this.#she's still overall very physically healthy. we go on walks almost every day and as long as she wants to.#and she eats well and takes vitamins and her teeth are kept clean and her claws trimmed and her coat clean#but she's slipping a little mentally#she's 11 which is old as hell for a dog her size. the vet said golden retriever mixes (which is what i assume she is) usually live to 10.#and she's not even started going white too much. just around her snoot and a little on her paws.#so when i take her in the vet always assumes she's like 6#but I've had this crusty old lady since shortly before i was even legally an adult#and I'm scared for when she does die because my other dog dying damn near made me commit suicide#and like I've said. I've had her a lot longer.#if she were a person she'd be going into middle school. like.#and she's had her share of weird health things. she's had a thyroid issue since she was 4. she has a weird skin condition.#she's had a couple surgeries and has scars from being attacked by random dogs (not my fault. she's well trained)#she's fallen a couple times recently but the vet says that's normal for her age#she went blind then wasn't blind and is going blind again#her hearing is starting to get shit too#I'm just so worried about her. this dog is a person to me. she's more real than my family in my mind.#and my cat is cool and all. but she's not a people. she's just a cat.#i guess the best i can hope for her is she lives the rest of her life comfortably and can die peacefully in her sleep#i think I'd completely come unglued from reality if i lost another dog to surprise everything cancer#but that's what I'm most scared of#because it came on so quickly and no one caught it despite me being that person who takes their dogs to the vet over a cough#she's sleeping right now and making goofy ass dog dream sounds. and i know i won't hear that any more sometime soon.#dog#old dog#senior dog#clio#joe biden mention

thoughts on cannibalism and/or blood drinking as symbolism for love? (including both healthy love and damaging/corrosive love)
OBSESSED with it to be quite honest it never gets old like it's the most intimate you can get with someone, to take a part of them into you fully and completely, but it's also an inherently selfish act to consume another to satiate your own hunger, feeding your most base and animalistic instinct with the flesh of a lover.... LIKEEEEEE. I fear cannibalism is a bit of a banger

Still working on the girl's overreactive histamine response; her seasonal allergies are absurd.
Regular medicated baths and clothing changes help, and Benadryl and anti itch sprays soothe flare ups, but we're also going at it from a preventative route through the diet angle with probiotics and meal toppers that have lots of anti-inflammatories.
(Dixie is a foodie, so she's a lot happier with that than the extra bathing)
