Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master is living on The Doctor’s TARDIS and grows close to the Reader, but he refuses to believe that you could possibly have feelings for him.

Based On This Request -

Warnings - Self-deprecating thoughts and self-esteem issues on The Master’s part. Me making up alien planets and creatures.

Word Count - 3270

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. This is a bit of an AU where all of Whittaker!Doctor’s companions are travelling together. This was also a request from my old Tumblr, but I got another idea, so I decided to write it, too. I hope that you enjoy it.

The Master thought that this was all a dream. He had been alone for so long. The only things in his life were pain, death, revenge, betrayal and loneliness. Now he had a group of people who didn’t hate him. ‘Friends’ was probably too strong of a word, he knew that, but at least he wasn’t alone anymore.

The Master couldn’t help but spiral sometimes; thinking that all of this was a dream, and he would wake up alone again. Or, even worse, he was plotting a revenge plan on the planet Hypnos and a Ypnyotic Worm had burrowed into his brain and was now injecting him with its poisonous and hypnotic venom. So, all of this could be a fever dream. Even though he liked not being alone anymore, he could easily move on if he found out that the life he had been living with The Doctor and her little companions was all a dream. He would not be able to move on from you so easily, however.

You were the opposite of him. When The Master still denied his feelings for you, he tried to compare you to The Doctor and any of her pets, past or present, but he was never able to make a successful comparison. You were uniquely yourself. You were bright and lively, even during your bad days, you always tried to make the best of any situation. But you weren't afraid to talk back and confront The Doctor, unlike a lot of her pets. The Master loved that about you. You wanted to see the Universe, but you weren’t desperate to have The Doctor love you.

Along with your alluring personality, The Master had a soft spot for you. You were the first person to reach out to The Master once he joined The TARDIS crew, to try and extend the olive branch of peace to him. The Doctor didn’t even need to ask you to, like how she had to ask the rest of her companions to do so. You just wanted him to feel welcomed. You couldn’t imagine how difficult an adjustment this must have been for him and, considering the fact that everyone else aboard were distancing themselves from him, you didn’t want to add to the dogpile of negativity.

Now, the two of you were like two peas in a pod, doing almost everything together. You both even had a set routine. You would help him cook breakfast for the companions and The Doctor and then after all of you ate, you and The Master would go to the library. There you would either choose books for the other to read, pick a book and read together silently by the library fireplace, or read aloud to each other. Sometimes though, even though the two of you would choose books to read, you would not read them. Instead, you would continue the conversations you began while making breakfast until it was time for lunch.

You were late today, however. The Doctor was off doing whatever, and her other companions were still asleep, so your routine wasn’t that horribly and inconveniently skewed, but The Master was worried. You were never late. You voiced to him, one morning, that you only kept the schedule for him because he was so particular, but you were still always on time.

Just as The Master grew tired of waiting and prepared to make his way to your room to see what was up with you, you walked through the doorway of the kitchen. You jumped a bit when you saw how upset and tense he looked, staring down the doorway. He tried to calm down quickly. He didn’t want you to think that he was mad at you, he was just worried. But he still had questions for you and your lateness.

“Is everything alright?”

“Yes! Of course. I was just thinking and pacing in my room and lost track of time. I’m sorry for being late. Do you have something planned for breakfast today?” You grabbed your apron and put it on, all the while rambling and walking briskly through the room with barely a glance cast to the Time Lord. The Master didn’t respond to your follow-up questioning and instead walked over to you to look you in the eye.

“If something is wrong, you can tell me.” The Master awkwardly placed his hand on your shoulder.

“I know that things might be a bit unusual, but I thought that we have been growing close.”

“Nothing’s wrong, Master. I would tell you if something was bothering me, I promise.” You smiled sincerely towards the rebel Time Lord, and he seemed to believe you even though he was still curious about your strange behaviour. So, the two of you decided to play normal and prepare breakfast as you usually did. The Master entertained you with various embarrassing stories of The Doctor and numerous stories that painted The Master to be a great warrior. You loved hearing The Master’s tales, but despite the fun you were having, you couldn’t help but think back to the realisation you had made that morning.

You woke up more excited to make breakfast with The Master than you had ever before. You just thought that you were lonely, The Master being one person on the TARDIS to take the time to truly understand you. But when you were in the shower, you realised the difference in your feelings. You had fallen in love with The Master. You panicked. You were excited for yourself but quickly became fearful that The Master would never reciprocate. So, you paced around your room and thought of how you were going to handle this situation. You resolved to just play along with the friendship you and The Master had formed and hide your feelings for as long as possible. That’s when you noticed that you were late, so you ran to the TARDIS kitchen to keep up appearances.

You and The Master were almost finished with breakfast. The two of you had made this breakfast several times, so despite the delay, you finished the meal basically on time. After the meal was prepared and the table was set, you would be the one to notify the rest of the companions and The Doctor that breakfast was ready. The TARDIS had placed a large pull-down lever on the furthest wall of the kitchen that would set off a string of chimes and bells in everyone’s rooms. If anyone wasn’t in their room, the TARDIS would notify them herself after you pulled the lever.

So, you made your way to the device. The Master stopped, however. He grabbed your arm softly and turned you back around to face him. You gave him a questioning look and The Master opened his mouth to speak. He closed his mouth, clueless of what to say, and stood in thought for a moment before finally speaking.

“I meant what I said earlier, Y/n. If something is wrong or you just need to talk about something, I’ll be here if you need me. You’ve been here for me more than necessary. I would like to return the favour.”

“Master, I want …” You trail off when The Master moves his hand up to your face and brushes the pad of his thumb over your cheek. Your eyes locked onto his. It could have been the atmospheric yellow lighting that permeated The Doctor’s TARDIS, but you could have sworn that The Master’s pupils dilated.

“You had a bit of flour on your face.” You nod in understanding but turn away quickly to hide your warming face. Upon turning, you see The Doctor, Yaz, Ryan, Graham and Dan all standing awkwardly in the second doorway of the kitchen. You didn’t know how much of the encounter they observed, but judging their open-mouthed and questioning faces, you assumed that they had seen enough to come to their own conclusions about your relationship with The Master. The Doctor coughed to defuse the tension and barreled past her companions to get to her seat as fast as possible.

“What wonderful breakfast will we be enjoying today, then?”

Despite The Doctor’s attempt to lighten the mood, she was unsuccessful. All of you mainly ate in silence, except for when the Doctor would feel awkward with the silence and try to ramble her way out of it. The Master would always roll his eyes when The Doctor would do this. You always managed to catch him when he would do that, causing you to giggle a bit and try to hide your face from him and your friends.

The Master kept looking at you throughout the meal, though, mainly wondering what you were thinking. He loved the giggles he would cause, but he knew something was different with you today and he inspected every part of your demeanour for a hint of what could be troubling you. You didn’t seem upset like you had just received bad news. You looked calm, more so like you came to a realisation and are happy about what you just realised. He hoped that it was something about him, but you probably didn’t think of him as anything other than a charity case.

The Doctor and her companions finished up their breakfasts and gradually walked out of the kitchen to go about days. Thankfully today was a calm day without a set adventure, so you could all just do as you pleased. Yaz was the last to exit the room, dragging The Doctor out behind her. They seemed close. And you didn’t seem to care or notice. All you did was finish eating your own meal before beginning to clear up the table. So, The Master calmed himself when he ruled out jealously from his list of possibilities for why you might have been upset this morning.

The Master had noticed over his time in the TARDIS that you didn’t appear to have a crush on anyone on board, you mostly hung out around him, even on adventures. Maybe you realised that you liked someone? The Master assumed that you probably liked someone back on Earth, definitely not him. Why would you like him?

When you and The Master began to curate this routine of yours, the two of you agreed with the other to do the clean-up after breakfast. The Doctor and her companions, but especially The Doctor, were surprised that The Master would demean himself by washing the dishes, but unknownst to all of them, The Master just liked hanging out with you. The general schedule eventually extended to the rest of The Doctor’s companions cooking lunch and dinner either going out or the two groups would take turns.

The quietness between the two of you continued while you washed up, but there was an excitement hidden in your actions. Both you and The Master loved the next part of the routine, going to the library.

Thankfully, you and The Master didn’t walk to the library in silence. Upon leaving the kitchen and starting your journey to the library, you sparked up a conversation about The Master’s childhood. The Master was shocked, at first. He wondered why you would want to learn about his past. But he had opened up to you about his time on Gallifrey before, so he brushed it off as you just being curious.

Upon entering the library, you went your separate ways searching for the best book for the other. You went off to the section of the library you could actually read. The Master could read almost anything in the library, but he chose to stay close to you, observing you to see if everything was truly okay.

The Master looked at you through the missing books on the bookshelf. He smiled when you scratched an itch on the tip of your nose adorably. Then shook his head in fear; he realised what that thought meant. He had had these thoughts before, but for some reason, his brain didn’t make the greater connection. He conjectured with himself that he most likely didn’t realise his feelings for you because he was relishing in the feeling of no longer being alone. The fact that you were late this morning made him anxious. He feared that you were hurt, lost, or just bored of him. He couldn’t stand any of those possibilities. Especially the thought that you would no longer wish to be around him one day. He assumed that that would happen, though.

The Master looked down at the book in his hands, but he was not looking at anything in particular. The Master was too lost in thought to pay attention to anything. He was too distracted by you and the thought of being with you and how to make you feel better today.

You found your book and motioned to The Master, but he didn’t notice you through the bookshelf. You walked around the bookshelf, trying to get The Master’s attention. You called out to him multiple times, but he just stood in the middle of the aisle, holding a book loosely and staring at his feet. You reached out to gently grab his arm. He jolted at your touch; his eyes fluttered around before finally landing on your eyes.

“Did something happen? Are you okay?” The Master blinked in response, still a bit confused after being drawn out of his imagination.

“Of course I’m okay. Did you find a book?”

“Yeah, what about you? Are you ready to sit down?”

“I’m not really interested in anything today.”

“Oh. Do you want to call it a day?”

“Do you?”

“No. I like spending the days with you, Master. Do you want to read with me? Or we can do something else.”

“I can read to you if you want. Like I did when you were sick a couple of weeks ago with Tarrairiuum Flu.”

“I’d love that, Master!” You bounced on the balls of your feet before excitedly pulling him toward your favourite sofa. He stumbled a bit but recovered quickly and followed you, continuing to hold your hand tightly. He wondered if you were just doing this to cheer him up. If all you were doing, the entire time he had been staying on The Doctor’s TARDIS, was tricking him into feeling things. If you were tricking him into being a better person. Tricking him into not scheming. Tricking him to love you. All to appease The Doctor. You couldn’t love him. You just couldn't. He was a monster.

You manoeuvred the Master to where he was lying down on the sofa by the now lit fireplace thanks to The TARDIS. He couldn’t tear his eyes from you the entire time. When The Master was finally settled, you grabbed a quilt that was thrown over a nearby chair. You crawled over The Master and cuddled into his side with your head on his chest, just like you had when you were sick. The beats of his hearts gave you so much comfort to you then and now.

“Comfortable?” The Master questioned with a smirk.

“Very.”

“Good.” The Master adjusted a bit to open the book you had chosen and began to read.

You stared at him for a moment. His voice always made you feel so many things at once. There was a softness to it that always relaxed you. When he was excited, you could tell in his tone, and it always made you happy to see him joyful. You would always laugh when he would make a sarcastic comment about The Doctor in your ear, there was always jealous gravel laced in his speech. He always sounded so beautiful to you.

His soft yet slightly chapped lips moved steadily as he read the words of your favourite book. He was about to finish the chapter, and you moved impossibly closer to him. He finished the chapter with gravitas and made you excited for the next chapter even though you had read the book many, many times. He partially closed the book, one of his hands being used as a placeholder. You took his unoccupied stance as an opportunity to kiss his cheek in a moment of love and impulsiveness. A smile broke out on your face when you saw his flabbergasted expression. That was a look you had never seen on his beautiful face before.

“Why did you do that, Y/n?” He sounded scared and worried. Two feelings you never heard him express except for this morning.

“Because I wanted to, Master.”

“Don’t play with me, Y/n.”

“But what if you are so much fun to play with?” You teased and giggled. But The Master’s expression only darkened and grew more serious, so you dropped the joking attitude.

“What’s wrong, Master?”

“You don’t mean it. So, I don’t find your teasing funny.” The Master snapped his head back to the book, but only because he couldn’t look you in the eye as you rejected him.

“But I do mean it.”

“No, you don’t. Don’t pretend just to make me feel better.”

“Okay, I’m going to stop this before we just bicker back and forth. What will it take for you to believe me, Master?”

“I don’t know.” The Master mumbled sulkingly. You stared at him for a bit longer, upset by how defeated he looked. You moved to kiss his cheek, but you moved slowly to give him the opportunity to push you away. He didn’t move away, so you kissed his cheek again. Then his jaw, then his chin, then his nose, and then his forehead. You could feel his breath quicken and his hearts beat more rapidly.

When you looked back at him, he looked even sadder and broken than before. That was the opposite effect that you wanted. You kissed his nose one more time then nuzzled your nose against his then placed your forehead against his forehead. He closed his eyes, relishing in the physical contact. Physical contact that he had never received so passion-filled before.

“You can read my mind if you want. If it will prove to you that I am genuine and that I do love you.” His eyes popped open when you said the word love.

“No. I don’t think I need to now.” You wouldn't have offered to have him rummage through your mind if you were lying.

You moved back, but The Master followed you. He brought his free hand up to cradle your face, occasionally his thumb would brush against your lips.

“Can I kiss you?” You nodded, smiling, and uttered a breathy ‘yes, Master’ before The Master softly pulled the two of you back together. His lips were as soft as they looked as they danced with yours. You regrettably had to pull away to breathe, though, but you giggled when you saw The Master smiling at you.

“I like seeing a smile on your face. Especially when I know that I am the cause of it.”

“I could say the same thing to you, Master.”

“Is this why you were late? Creating a little scheme in order to get me to kiss you?” You giggled again at The Master’s now proud and teasing attitude.

“Well, how else would I get you to kiss me?”

“You little minx!” The Master smirked before attacking you with neck kisses. You began laughing again when The Master’s attack caused you to fall backwards onto the sofa. The TARDIS made sure to lock the library doors and direct The Doctor and her companions away from the library that morning.

Holy shit if you’re still taking prompts can we get anti slowly wearing henrik down with conditioning, watching him get more and more addicted to Anti. I love the rise in hypno content lately!

Henrik’s lost count of the days. He’s lost count of how many times he’s been completely drained of energy, only to sleep and wake up refreshed, for Anti to repeat the process. Nothing but days of constant static and humming, with some children’s lullaby playing in the background.

He must be getting changed in between; he’s noticing different outfits on Chase, as well as himself. It’s hard to focus on clothes when his mind is white noise and static, and he can’t remember five minutes ago.

Oh, it also hurts. Everything aches. The static is agony, and his dreams are nothing but lightning strikes and gruesome pain that tears his very atoms to shreds. Henrik can’t tell anymore if he’s screaming or if he’s dreaming, because reality around him is nothing but a warped Escher painting; up is left and down is miles upon lightyears away. He wonders if he’s been twisted inside out too.

Followed by the pain though, like clockwork, is a soothing sensation. Something gentle, to ease the pain. Nothing stops hurting though, but it’s like gentle, warm water being used for healing. Easing his tense muscles, relaxing the various cramps and bruises that’ve formed. Where did they come from? What he assaulted by Anti?

That name almost sounds foreign on his lips. But... yes. He’s with Anti, he’s starting to remember. Anti and...what was his name again?

“His name is Chase.”

The voice that responds is hovering somewhere nearby. Henrik tries to focus his gaze, but all he can see are blurred shapes that are almost too dim to make out.

Chase, yes. He knows that name. A faint memory; himself with Chase. Talking about...something. He can’t remember anymore. He can see Chase so vividly though. He knows Chase.

“Chase submitted to me so easily, doctor. He didn’t want to hurt either, he wanted the pain to stop. Don’t you want it to stop?”

Pain? Oh yeah, there’s pain. There’s so much pain he can’t feel anything anymore. He’s too numb, too tired, too worn out by all the torment. He wants it to stop. Yes, he wants it to end.

“I can make it end for you. You won’t have to feel anything anymore. Not from me. I’ll take care of you, just like I take care of Chase. You’ll be the best puppet.”

Has he been speaking the whole time? He doesn’t remember saying anything. He tries to focus on the shapes around him, but he can only make out a heavily blurred face before him. It’s now Henrik notices the hand in his hair too. Oh, that feels nice.

“I...don’t want...”

He doesn’t want to be a puppet, he just wants the agony to stop. The torture, the tears, the sadness, all of it. He wants it to go away. He wants to be left alone with nothing but this floating, peaceful sensation, free of anything bad.

“I don’t want....puppet.”

“Silly doctor. You’ll be at peace. Nothing but peace, and bliss. Nothing but happiness, all you have to do is say yes, and you’ll be more free than you ever have been. Chase craves the peace. You’ve seen him at his happiest, don’t you want that for yourself?”

Yes.

No.

Yes.

...yes.

“Then it’s all yours. Just call me by the one name I want to hear most, and you know what that is.” The hand in Henrik’s hair tightens, almost tugging. It’s a warning, he knows, but Henrik’s distracted by the overwhelming relaxation coursing through him. He’s familiar with this massage; it’s easing the pain even more. No pain, just peace, just as Anti promised.

No, not Anti.

“Master.”

Hypnovember 2019 Master List

Jesus. Jesus Christ, that’s a lot of writing. I don’t really consider myself a writer generally and this is definitely the first time I’ve written this much this quickly. I’m going to look at my word count soon, but- I think I may have written a novel’s length of words? Wow.Thanks to everyone who encouraged me during this or provided support/ideas: thinking of @daja-the-hypnokitten , @liminal-wanderings , @mr-ackerman , @spiralturquoise , @wellgnawed , @sex-obsessed-lesbian , and @hypno-sandwich especially here but there were lots of y’all who reblogged or made kind comments. HypnoBS- 5. Although have only done this as a hypnotist so I can’t speak to subject POV. This kind of thing is adorable to watch, though.

MS2 project 1: Final Story Update

1. Reality: "Mr. Foster, your dream cabinet is ready." says the personal secretary of William Foster, Elfenheim BioTech & WelFare (EBW)'s CEO. Foster does not answer right away. He is absorbed by memories. He has been working sleeplessly for 41 years. The creation of "spine" and artificial dreams not only makes him the richest person on earth but also the busiest one. If there is one thing he regrets in his whole life, that will be not being able to say goodbye to his beloved one 30 years ago. Today is his 65th birthday and all he wants is a chance for redemption. "I want the dream to be customized exactly as I ordered." Foster rumbles. "Yes, Mr. Foster. Your cabinet has been set up as 'Level 1: customized dream only' mode." the secretary replies. Foster sets his sights on an old photo on his desk. "Tell Doctor Muller that I want to cancel today's treatment. I'll be right with you." "Right away, sir." The secretary steps out of Foster's office, leaving old William alone with his dusted memories. "Jane..."

1. Dream: Foster found himself in his office. He feels significantly younger and more energetic. The office is decorated just like he remembers 30 years ago. He is still a little disoriented but he knows he is waiting for something. His secretary enters the room. Back in the days, the secretary was still the beautiful Felicia. "Mr. Foster, they are all here. We can start the meeting at any moment." Suddenly, he feels his phone vibrating fiercely. The number on the phone is blurred but something tells Foster: "this is it. This is the phone call I have missed 30 years ago. This is what I am waiting for." He picks up the phone and rushes out of his building immediately, leaving his secretary shocked and confused. A moment later, he is at the front gate of that one hospital, the one that took Jane's life. It is even darker and more horrifying than he remembers. He feels an indescribable horror swallows him, but Foster was never a man held by fear. He walks steadily into Room 2167, where Jane lays with a final breath. "Jane..." Foster moves slowly towards his wife. For a moment, he feels the world has stopped spinning. Her face is twisted due to illness, to the point that Foster can barely recognize her. She is too weak to talk. Foster finally got his chance for his redemption but somehow, he feels speechless in front at this moment. He holds her hand until death takes her away. Foster misses his change yet again. He can do nothing but drowns himself in dreadful remorse. "That must be tough for you" a voice raises up behind Foster "I wasn't able to say a damn thing when ma died". Foster turned around and sees a homeless with a red hat. He is extremely confused about this unexpected element's appearance. So he asks: "Who are you?"

2.Reality It's 11:15 p.m. at night, Thursday. David is just about to wrap up his work today. The streets are still bright and crowded. People drink, dance, have fun and go back to work. The city never sleeps, neither do people, thanks to EBW's "spine". David is a middle-aged man and a supply chain department manager in EBW. As a man of his age, he lives a fruitful life compared to others. However, David has his own troubles. He has been single for 20 years and he has a really bizarre sexual interest. He has been secretly fancying his supervisor, Miss Standley, for years but he is too scared to let her know. He could only keep his pervert thoughts in his mind and release them via pornography or masturbation. Things are different now. David wants to give the artificial dreaming a shot. He has heard that customized dreams are hyper sensorial and with high fidelity. This excites him whenever he thinks of "materializing" his "fantasies and ideas" in a private dream. Thus, he goes on to squeeze out some free time form his packed and overloaded work schedule for customizing a dream he has been craving for years. The original plan was to have a "level-one fully customized dream", but this option requires the dreamer to depict out the exact ingredients, like characters and their roles, in the dream before dreaming. David is afraid that people might peek into his little hobbies and judge him. So he decides to have a level-2 dream instead which only requires some loose descriptions of the desired dream. The brain will be responsible for 50% of the content creation during this level of dreams so it preserves some privacy. David heads to the dream service front desk bashfully. "What can I do for you, sir?" "I would like to have a dream, a Level 2 dream." "And what would you like to be in there, sir?" "...Chairs... ropes... candles and... Rachel Standley" "Right away, sir. Would please confirm the character's ID here?" "Yep, that's her. Make her submissive please." "Understood. Your cabinet is ready, sir. Follow me." "Understood?" David thought, "What did she mean by that?" He hesitated a little but eventually stepped into the cabinet and started his dream.

2. Dream: David finds himself in the office. This is not exactly what he expected but can be an exciting stage. This is Until he sees a colleague hanged himself on the ceiling with a rope. This dream is probably not what he wanted. He starts to realize that the office is in the dark and everyone is working nonstop with only candles to light up their desks. He also saw Miss Standley's block sits right next to his. He tries to say hi but is immediately stopped by a cold voice from behind. "I don't remember I hired you for doing nothing, David" David turns around and sees a much bigger version of William Foster staring at him with anger. David was shocked. Foster grabbed David up and rumbles: "If you cannot deliver what I expect from you, you are useless to me." He then throws David into a cage along with Miss Standley. "Rachel, get rid of this good-for-nothing." Miss Standley takes out a hammer from her jeans and replies submissively to Foster: "As you wish, master Foster." This scares the shit out of David. He saw a tramp with a red hat in the corner with him but he was too scared to ask for help. David feels humid. He definitely is sweating and possibly wets his pants as well. This dream is definitely not what he signed up for.

3. Reality Doctor Hanna Muller is an erudite Psychiatrist who has a pretty light workload every day. Her patients are usually rich and generous so she lives a decent material-life. When Hanna is not working, she dives into her research of dreams, a concept that makes Hanna ensorcelled. To Hanna, the contemporary understanding of dreams is merely a parody of the real deal. The real deal, to Hanna, means letting the brain to take over 100% of dream content creation by itself. Humans from the old times used to be able to dream by themselves. That was the time when humans still sleep. The modern technology makes the dreaming experience customizable and controllable for the dreamers but those service providers never dare to give their customers real dreams because that means having the dreamers enter third layer dreams. The signals coming from the cabinet at level 3 is so strong that it has a chance of frying both the "spine" and the dreamer's brain out. Nevertheless, Hanna desires authentic dreams and she is willing to take the risk for science. She is well connected. One of her patients is William Foster himself! She knows pretty much every influential people in EBW. The one that most likely to support her crazy wish is Doctor Walter Schmidt, the leading researcher of EBW's Hypnos Lab. Hence, she makes the call and Walter answers.

3. Dream I was born at the break of dawn when the Queen dreamed of receiving a kiss from the goddess of the dream. I was the first princess of this kingdom and because of my power of deciphering dreams, I was worshiped as the daughter of gods in this country. Every day, people from different realms come to ask about their dreams. When I was 12, I met a strange person. He wore a little red hat and looked like a tramp. He asked, "Dear princess, I am having a bizarre dream. It is too bizarre and is beyond my understanding.” I peeked his dream, and It was in a dark room with four tall men wearing clothes I have never seen before. "Any clues?" he asked. I answered, "They said you would be a hero." He thanked me and left a pile of gold. At the age of 18, the king of the neighboring country proposed to me. I rejected him because, through his dreams, I saw his brutal and fornicating nature. The king of the neighboring country was furious and launched the war. My father was a butchered and I became a captive. I was assigned to monitor all ministers' dreams and report to the king, but I had never told him the truth. I had lived a peaceful life for 20 years until my lies were exposed. The night before I was executed, I saw that little red hat again who was exactly the same as 20 years ago. He said, "I came to be a hero!" He stole the key to my prison and let me escape. I didn't have time to thank him and just ran out desperately. The whole kingdom had not yet woken up, and all kinds of dreams were drifting in front of my eyes: some of were wonderful, some were absurd, some were strange and some were terrible. But all is past now. It is time to forget the history and build a kingdom of my own.

4. Reality In a secluded room in Hypnos Lab, a ragged tramp sits across from four well-dressed people. He is holding his red hat, looking at the man- Walter Schmidt - who claimed to help him get rid of the pain. "Don't be nervous," Schmidt says, "These are excellent engineers of Hypnos Lab. They will help you." One of the three engineers shows signs of reluctance. He asks the tramp, "Are you sure you want to enter the fourth layer of dreams?" "Yes, I confirm." "Do you know what it means?" "I won't realize that I am dreaming, and I won't remember to wake up." "Walter, this won’t work!" the engineer argues, "Human experiment is too dangerous. No one has ever entered the fourth layer of dreams! We may kill him!" The tramp says, "Sir, thank you for your kindness. But that's probably better for me." The tramp points at the "spine" on his neck, "When the government put this on homeless people like me, I thought this shit was a gift, but the longer I lived, the more I feel it's a curse. I would rather die in my dreams if I could sleep, but I'm just a tramp stinks in poverty. It's hard to live like this. I've thought about normal ways to suicide but I'm afraid of pain." "Take it easy. " Schmidt says to his engineer, "There is always the first person to take the risk. He will be our hero when the fourth layer of dreams can be controlled and create huge commercial wealth for this world that never sleeps." Then, He hands a few pages to the tramp. "If you have no doubts, please sign here." The tramp put his red hat on and signs down his name: Freeman.

4. Dream "The irony is, we thought we are special, but as we exploring our origins we are more likely to be another logical combination of elements following the basic rules of the universe. That's been said, we still have our chance for redemption. The second evolution is coming, my son. We are on the edge of metamorphosis from mundanity to extraordinariness. We can be truly special!" "That sounds great but I'm not sure what is going on?" Freeman is confused. "The world is not the same as it was. You have to blow my brain out with your blaster, release my soul and get the fuck out there AND MURDER THOSE MOTHERFUCKING ZOMBIES! YOU HEAR ME SON?! YOU HEAR ME?!" "but why me?" Freeman screams. The other slightly bigger Freeman points his finger towards Freeman's red hat: "You see that, my son? That is proof that you are the chosen one. You are born to lead us. You are born to be the king!" He then grabs Freeman up and holds him up in the air as the sun rises. As the earth is covered by golden sunlight, all the animals bow to their newborn prince: Freeman the red hat pineapple. "Do you feel that my son?" asks the slightly bigger Freeman. " Yes, yes I do. Now I am ready for a little swim." Freeman then pulls out his blaster and blows the slightly bigger Freeman's brain out. He then went to the hospital for food. But nobody is willing to give him any. He finally stops at room 2167. The patient, a female named Jane, is about to die anyway. So he robbed the prepared food from her, leaving her moaning on the bed alone, and start to feast in the corner. Then a big dude comes. It appears to be Jane's husband but Freeman cannot care less. He thinks he finishes the meal and leaves the hospital right away. The king's journey has yet to begin. He will venture into many weird places like the dream kingdom and maybe the darkest office of all times. The red hat has no fear, for he has his beloved rotten burger with him all the time. "Am I right, burger?" "You surely are, Freeman. You surely are."

4. When he first became homeless, Freeman thought this "spine" that the government put on his neck for free is a generous gift because it freed him from the need for sleep. Without such a need, lives become slightly easier for homeless people like Freeman. After all, they don't need to go out and find shelters for nights of sleep anymore. This is what Freeman thought before. Now he is not sure whether it's a generous gift or a bloody curse. He finds a spot in the park where he can rest his feet. It is a bizarre feeling for him because he should feel tired and fatigue but he doesn't. The "spine" keeps him

The Indomitable Doctor Hypnos: Volume 4 - The De-powered Crystal

“I’ll be fine, I can do it. I’ll track that rogue down, whoever he is!” Jamal recalled his words earlier that evening. He had never been more determined. He couldn’t sit idly by as his teammates were spirited away. He had to do something. Ignoring his remaining friends’ idea to go searching as a group, the foolhardy young hero set off into the night, determined to bring the villain who had his fellow heroes to justice.

It was only when he passed by that old subway tunnel that he began to feel a little uneasy. If this villain had managed to abduct Teddy, of all heroes, then he just be a fearsome foe indeed. But he quickly reassured himself that the villain wouldn’t get him. Once Jamal put up his force field, it was completely impervious. He might have got the others, he thought with determination. But he won’t get me!

“Well, well, well…” The voice, despite being a smooth and velvety, made the hero jump. He turned around and saw that mysterious, black clad, masked figure leaning against a streetlight. Its ethereal light made him look almost alien. “What a handsome hero we have here…” Doctor Hypnos purred, approaching Jamal with that leisurely saunter of his. “What are you doing out so late?”

“Where did you come from?” Jamal exclaimed, quickly raising his power-crystal-activated force field as the villain approached and encircled him. However, there was one slight flaw in the force field’s mechanic. It could stop something coming towards it at high speed, but someone walking slowly could pass through it like butter. Hypnos kept up the slow walk and much to Jamal’s alarm, he went straight through it as if it wasn’t there at all. “You must be careful, little hero,” Hypnos chuckled, now standing behind Jamal. “You might just meet an unexpected fate.”

The force field vanished in an instant as a leather glove soaked with chloroform was placed over Jamal’s mouth. As he desperately struggled to break free from his captor’s grasp, the hero felt something strange. Rather than trying to hold him still, Hypnos’ body was swaying in an almost dance-like rhythm. As the chloroform began to take effect, the gentle swaying movements began lulling Jamal into a sleepy, docile state.

“Shhh, shhh, shhh…” Hypnos whispered. “Go to sleep, pretty boy. That’s right, let Doctor Hypnos gently rock you to sleep as you breathe in the sweet, sweet fumes.” “Mmmf…” Jamal moaned softly. He could feel his eyelids growing heavy and his body going limp. “Awww, look at you, all tuckered out.” Doctor Hypnos’ soft voice was like music to the drowsy hero’s ears. “Sweet dreams, sleepyhead…”

It took a while for Jamal to fully awaken from the chloroform. He lay tied to the dentist chair and snoring softly for some time until Hypnos came closer, caressing his cheek. “Wakey wakey…” the villain cooed in a singsong voice. Jamal yawned and opened his eyes, looking dazedly up at his captor, who held a pair of headphones in both hands. “Someone’s going to get hypnotised.”

Still drowsy and weak, Jamal simply smiled dreamily as the Hypnos put the headphones in place. The hero’s daydreaming, half-closed eyes watched the array of spirals on the screens surrounding him, the hypnotic subliminals working their way into his mind. He not only went under much quicker than his previous three comrades had, but he seemed to fall much deeper. In less than two minutes, those black and white spirals were swirling round and round in his eyes as he repeated his mantra: “Must obey Doctor Hypnos.” Those four words were all he needed to hear. They were all he needed to know. They were all he needed to do. He just needed to obey his master like a good little slave.

“Such a good little slave…” Doctor Hypnos chuckled softly. “My, my, you’re already so deeply brainwashed, aren’t you?” “Yes, Doctor Hypnos.” Jamal smiled mindlessly. “I am your brainwashed little slave. I must obey you, Doctor Hypnos.” “Good boy.” Hypnos smiled behind his mask. That was almost too easy. He mused. You’d almost think he wanted to be a hypno slave. It won’t be long, now, before I’ve enslaved the entire league!

POV: You’re A Captured Superhero And I’m Hypnotising You

When you think about it, I’m doing all those superheroes a favour. A life in the limelight would be exhausting for anyone. Plus, they’re constantly putting themselves at risk for citizens who don’t even know their real names.

If you had to deal with that, wouldn’t it also be your greatest desire to just relax and unwind? To not have to think about anything? To just mindlessly obey instead of having to make so many big decisions?

Wouldn’t it feel so much better to give in and let those tired eyes gaze into a pretty, swirling spiral? That’s right, just watch the spiral, little hero. Round and round it gently goes. Let it swirl all your thoughts away. No need to fight anymore. No need to worry. No need to even think.

Yes, that’s right. Give in. Surrender to me. Surrender to the spiral. Aww, you poor thing. You’re soooo tired. Let that weary mind of yours rest now. Falling into a deep, deep hypnotic sleep. The spiral goes round and round, erasing all those pesky little thoughts. You don’t have to be a hardworking hero anymore. You can just relax and be my mindless slave.

Oh, what’s that? Did I hear a soft moan of pleasure? Does the thought of being my slave make you horny? Heheheh, that’s a good little slave. You want to be my slave, don’t you? That’s right. What a good slave you are. Good slaves give in. Good slaves watch the hypno spiral. Good slaves relax and get nice and sleepy. Good slaves obey their master and repeat their mantras. Repeat after me, slave:

I must obey Doctor Hypnos

“I must obey Doctor Hypnos.”

Doctor Hypnos controls my mind

“Doctor Hypnos controls my mind.”

I am a good slave

“I am a good slave.”

I will join Doctor Hypnos’ slave army

That’s right, such a good little slave. Repeating your mantras for me, without a single thought in that sleepy little head. Heheheheheh… Awww, what a good slave. You’ll make a fine addition to my slave army. No more prancing around in garish costumes and capes. Just marching along in your black leather uniform, mindless and happy, hypnotised and obedient. That sounds so good, doesn’t it?

“Yes, Doctor Hypnos.”

Good slave. Heheheheh. Ahh, it’s almost too easy. Yet another former superhero, succumbing so deeply to my power. At this rate, world domination is already within my grasp. Mwahahahaha…

Hush now, little slave. It’s time to sleep. Yes, that’s right. Sleep for your master. Breathe deeply as I attach a breathing mask to your face. You can hear the faint hiss of the sleeping gas, gently putting you under. But don’t worry, my good little slave. You’ll still see my pretty spiral and hear my beautiful voice in your dreams. While you sleep, I’ll put a pair of headphones on your head, filling your ears with soft, sleepy subliminals, brainwashing you deeper and deeper. By the time your body wakes up, your mind will still be sound asleep, filled with nothing but dreams of obedience to your master.

Goodnight, my sweet, sleepy, superhero slave. Have sweet dreams and remember: you must obey Doctor Hypnos…

The Indomitable Doctor Hypnos: Volume 3 - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

One disappearance on this side of town was bad enough considering the crime rate, but for another person - another superhero, no less - to also vanish in the exact same location was very worrying. In any other case, it could be chalked up to a strange coincidence, but these were the guardians of the city. Who could possibly have spirited them away…and why?

This question kept revolving around and around in Teddy’s mind. He checked the damaged street sign. This was definitely where Micah and Decha had been seen before their disappearance. “Don’t worry,” he told his beloved friends under his breath. “I’ll find you.” He should have been careful what he wished for.

The stairs leading to a subway were almost entirely obscured in the dark, even with the presence of streetlights. But, as Teddy approached them, he could have sworn he heard a voice. “Hello, Lion.” Teddy turned around. The voice was coming from down the stairs. “Who’s there? Show yourself!” He called. “Looking for your friends, are you?” The voice enquired. “Come down here. I can tell you where they are.”

This was clearly a trap. “Oh no, I’m not falling for that!” Teddy insisted. “Why don’t you come up here and tell me?” There was a brief silence, then another voice called out. Decha’s voice. “Teddy? Is that you?” “Decha!” Teddy could see the silhouette of his leader at the bottom of the stairs. He made his way down there, but still kept his guard up. It was only when he approached the figure that he realised all too late that he had been tricked.

As Doctor Hypnos stood up to his full height and turned around to face him, Teddy saw that same plague Doctor mask that had ensnared his comrades. “There’s no need to be afraid,” Hypnos wheedled, his mechanically disguised voice returning to normal. “Soon, you will join your dear friends.” “What did you do to them!?” Teddy tried to attack the masked villain, but Hypnos’ reflexes were akin to those of a fly. He kept dodging, forcing the hero to essentially fight himself. “You’ll find out soon enough, Lion.” He chuckled.

As Teddy aimed another punch and missed again, he found himself becoming breathless, much to his frustration. His opponent was wearing him out. “Oh my, out of breath already?” Hypnos enquired. “You poor thing, you look so very tired. Perhaps you ought to lie down and rest.” He grabbed Teddy from behind in a tight grip. The trapped hero wriggled wildly, trying hard to escape. There was only one option left. One thing he could do to ensure he managed to subdue his foe. Taking in a deep breath, he prepared to unleash his sonic powers. But before he could do so, a thick, chloroform-soaked pad was clamped over his mouth.

Teddy shook his head, trying to avoid breathing the fumes in, but that was a losing battle. Hypnos held on with a grip like steel. “Shhhh, hush now…” he murmured. “Hush and shush. Stop struggling now. You know it’s pointless to resist. You’re already feeling so very sleepy.”

It was true. The chloroform was working its way into Teddy’s nose. As they breathed it in, the world began spinning round and round. Things seemed to become closer, then further away. Their vision blurred and darkened as they felt their body slowly going limp. Doctor Hypnos whispered lovingly in his ear. “You’ve had a long day, little hero. It’s time to go to bed.” Teddy moaned weakly, their half-closed eyes crossing over and fluttering shut. He was spiralling down, down, down into a drug-induced slumber. “Sweet dreams…” Hypnos murmured, the beak of his mask gently ‘kissing’ the sleeping hero’s forehead.

When Teddy awakened, his head was pounding and his body was extremely heavy. Looking down, he found himself tied to a dentist’s chair. “Where the the hell am I?” He groaned. “Master, look, he’s waking up!” Called a familiar voice. Micah’s voice. “Micah? Is that you? Help me!” Teddy gasped when they saw Micah emerge from the shadows, now dressed entirely in black leather, accompanied by Doctor Hypnos. Black and white spirals were swirling in Micah’s eyes and Decha, who joined him, was in the same predicament.

“He certainly is a fighter, isn’t he, slaves?” Doctor Hypnos murmured, standing beside Teddy like a vulture looking down at its next meal. “Yes, Doctor Hypnos, he is.” The brainwashed heroes spoke in unison, their voices sounding almost robotic. “Perhaps he needs a little help joining us.” Hypnos smirked behind his mask. “I’m sure he’ll be more compliant once you’ve told him how wonderful it feels to be an obedient, sleepy, hypnotised slave.”

The spiral screen switched on, swirling around and around in a mesmerising rhythm. “Decha, Micah, this isn’t you! Snap out of it!” Teddy pleaded as their friends stood on either side of them. “Just relax, Teddy. Watch the pretty spiral.” Decha smiled. “The spiral makes us drowsy and compliant.” Micah continued. “We must obey Doctor Hypnos. After all, what else are good little slaves supposed to do?” They both giggled as Teddy found himself unable to look away from the spiral.

“That’s right…” Doctor Hypnos cooed. “Listen to your friends, Lion. Listen to my voice. Watch my spiral. Say bye bye to your free will and obey…” Teddy’s mind became dazed and confused. He hadn’t been sure about this at first, but if his friends thought obeying Doctor Hypnos was the right thing to do, perhaps he should. No, he needed to resist. He was supposed to rescue them. Rescue them? From what? Doctor Hypnos had clearly made them so happy. His voice was so soothing. His spirals were so pretty…so swirly…

As his resistance faded, drained away by the spiral and his friends repeating the four word mantra “Must obey Doctor Hypnos” Teddy felt a sleepy smile appear on his face. Yes, of course he would obey. It felt so good to obey his master. He must obey Doctor Hypnos. The spirals began swirling in his eyes. Doctor Hypnos was his master and he needed to obey like a good little slave. The villain watched in satisfaction as yet another hero succumbed to his spell. This one proved quite the challenge. He mused to himself. But even he gave in eventually. The rest will fall like dominoes.
