A one pg comic involving some OCs from my DnD-esc fantasy world.

Thought I'd try fully stylizing a pg of a comic. From 100% my style of line art, character design, as well as the "color" aspect of a full comic. I personally dont do color very much. I love greyscales and monochromes over temperamental colored pgs.

All in all I think it came out pretty good and I actually like everything when it's put together. wont be common, one pg took me nearly a week, but I'm glad I at least figured out that I do have a style I'm happy with for now.

flix ; this is my friend flix! flix is someone i've known for a while, and i'm so happy i do! aura likes dnd, pokemon, plants, art, writing, and witchcraft among other things! fae is really cool actually i think !!!

brew ; have you heard of brew's blogs? they have a lot! brew runs a pronoun blog, a name blog, a gender blog, a witch blog, some writing blogs, and a spin/hyfix blog. i think brew posts some good stuff on all of auras blogs

kani ; kani is also a witch! i don't know much about witchcraft, but i've heard that kani likes ocean magic! i think that is neat :} i hope kani gets to practice all the spells fae wants to!

halsey ; halsey is writer as well! aura writes stories about all sorts of things, and has a very cool cast of characters for original novels! i love halsey's way of writing expression and emotion, it's very good to read

estes ; estes and i met through faer name blog! through talking with them, i've learned a lot about the queer community. i'm really glad estes has taught me so much because they've taught me about a lot of really interesting (and valid!!!) identites. thank you estes :}

ik this wasn't in your post but . i know you are using it so!! aurore ; aurore has recetly started going by aurore which is!!! a very good name :} i saw they got it from the masculine version of aurora which is really cool!!! i wonder what aurore's favourite song by her is? and i hope aurore has a really good day :}

Reunion

A note: I’m not using drow images because Aidan’s drow don’t look Like That. So no enemy images this post. His drow are albino almost, and monstery if they don’t suck out life.

Session starts in combat. Naivara goes giant snek, Tobi uses Shatter via Ironfang. Roscoe hits a Drow Very Good. He kills one Drow! But can’t kill the other one.

The Drider near Ash phases out then knocks him from full to 2 HP. Roscoe stuns the Drider. Gariena backs up behind Tobi. The Drow shoots @ Roscoe but he catches it! 

Naivara tries to hit the Drider and misses, but Tobi hits her real good. Roscoe rolls a Nat20 and bloodies her... then rolls two Nat1′s in a row. The drider goes into the material plane... and takes Naivara with her.

Ash kills the last Drow, the Drider reappears with Naivara and Roscoe kills the Drider. We potion up and continue on. 

We enter a room with one Phase Spider, 4 Drow, and a Fancy Drow. The Fancy Drow hits Gariena, Snowball, and Ash with Faerie Fire. Gariena hit a drow! 

Tobi kills two regular Drow on his turn. The spiders reappears and hits Ash with poison. The fancy Drow doesn’t hit Snowball or Tobi. Naivara monches that Phase Spider. Roscoe kills the Phase Spider then tries to hit Fancy Drow. Doesn’t hit, but Tobi does!

Fancy Drow hits Roscoe a lot and Roscoe goes down. Ash kills the Fancy Drow. Tobi heals Roscoe and kills the last Drow.

On the second floor, there are fewer windows and two Drow- one male, one female, both in fancy armour. On the side of the room, there are stairs going down. Coming from up the stairs to the top, there’s a faint purple glow. Ash shoots a Drow before sneaking back down, on the side of the tower.

The rest of us go up the stairs and Ash sneaks back up. Tobi gets caught in an Ambush because of Course He does, the idiot meathead going first. No one rolls above a 10 on initiative. Roscoe does the two stab combo. Ash gets poisoned on the windowsill.

 Tobi rolls a 20 and smites the Drow Lady (she has two swords.) Naivara becomes an Allosaurus and Roscoe casts Hex. Tobi hits the Male Drow. Everyone’s looking... Pretty Bad™. Ash hits the Male Drow. Naivara kills the Lady Drow.

The M. Drow hits Naivara, but not with a Nat20 because Tobi exists. Tobi hits the M. Drow with the big boom, Naivara kills the M. Drow. Ash gets healed then goes up the stairs, all sneaky like. 

... Aidan spends 10 mins drawing a map. We’re all dead.

There’s 4 Drow, and one Drow Priestess. She’s sucking the life energy out of someone trapped on the outer wall- Kuori. She surrounds herself with a kind of purple energy. They’re ready for us. 

Tobi rushes in... and only hits one Drow. All of them go to hit Tobi. Naivara aims for the Priestess (who was ‘sphere lady’ in my notes. Dnd is serious, guys.) Gariena tries Entangle... and entangles 3 Drow! The priestess is, however, unaffected. 

Two Drow break out of the entangle, and the Priestess summons 2 Giant Spiders. She also sucks more life out of Kuori. Naivara kills a Drow, Tobi hits the Priestess. The Spiders are closing in on us. One of the spiders webs the unconcious Tobi. 

Roscoe kills a Drow and Gariena heals Tobi. He back up with 11. One of the Spiders gives Gariena a big chomp. Also Roscoe but he’s... mostly fine. A Drow almost knocks out Snowball. He has 2 HP. This doggo doesn’t remain alive ever. 

Gariena tries to hit the webbing and fails. Kuori has visibly gone from age 19 to age 30. Flix tries to dispel the shield. Roscoe kills the second Spider. Tobi knocks the Priestess out of her shield. Naivara kills the Priestess. 

Tobi cuts Kuori down. He’s 30 years old now. Kuori is at 1 HP and 5 levels of Exhaustion. Ash kills the last Drow. 

We all level up! Level 7 babey!

Thought I'd share a panel that kind of escaped me today. I was only doing [supposed to do] the line art, hence why the trees and background arent done, but I got distracted by a BUSH and here we are.

Arrokit is the Tiefling, who's actually half tiefling (his mother Nahiri), and half *Galdarian (his father Staflyn) [*Staflyn's race, from my original story.] Flix is the fairy. They're a duo (at the moment) adventure crew for hire. Arrokit is an artificer with a taste for explosions. He's full of himself and his ego is as big as his father's. He's under the impression that (canon in Staflyn's story) since his mother and father were both seasoned and unstoppable adventurers then he's definitely just as good as they are because it's in his blood. Flix is a bard with touches of sorcery who befriended Arrokit when the artificer saved him and his original party due their own respective jobs crossing paths. After Flix's party broke up he sought out Arrokit. He comes to wonder if doing so will lead him to an early grave. Though he himself has a tendency to goad the artificer on especially in tavern brawls or street fights.

Hey, you kids wanna be on fire? [aka Cultists and Werewolves]

[yes this is an update]

Recap music was the ring of fire because our DM is a doofus.

Back into combat from last session! Tobi got through the holes left in the ring of fire by mephits that Elizar summoned, and double-smited him to death. 

We run away, then we don’t, then we run away, then we don’t, then we- you get the idea. We COULD run at this point but we did not. 

Naivara + Ash notice people coming up the hill. Time To Go.

Ash turns into Elizar w disguise self and heads off the people. “NOTHING TO SEE HERE. ALL IS FINE.” This is a bad plan and it does not work but good try Ash. The two guys? Turns out they’re bored and done w the fire cult’s shit. They turn into god damn werewolves.

Victoria is VERY EXCITED because she wants to be a werewolf in dnd. Jesse gets a stress nosebleed for 10 mins. Either that or I went Full Anime.

Naivara gets bit by a werewolf because Jesse promised Victoria that disadvantage via protection would be on the claw, not the bite. You’re welcome, Blue. [Jesse regrets this immediately]

We all run away. Tobi lays his healing hands on Naivara to try and make her not be a werewolf. It’s what he would do!! Jesse is sorry. The party rests for an hour. Then we send sneaky sneaky Ash out to scout the campfires we didn’t before.

The werewolves are still around, having a nice Elizar snack. Ash tries to distract them with a rock and fails. But thankfully, they didn’t notice him. He continues onto the campfires!

The bugbears are still talking. No Corkpop this time, however, so we don’t know what they were saying.

In the tower near the Burning Man, he finds two more flame sword guys.

One camp had the werewolves at it; it’s vacant now. He finds 22 gold and a lil food snack.

The next camp has the one fire priest that got away, with 4 others. He’s telling the others about our party.

The last fire has a woman speaking in a language Ash doesn’t know, to two unseen figures.

Ash makes a really loud gong noise when he gets back bc he wanted to spook us. Shit disturber.

Corkpop, Naivara and Ash go back to the fire w the lady. She notices them, but only Naivara steps forward and Ash and Corkpop remain stealthed when she asks whose there. Her ruse is this:

She’s “Miss Muffet” and she’s “looking for Curds, her pet rabbit.”

She finds out the lady is a druid from the Circle of Dreams and she has two sprites with her. The lady is named Gariena and the sprites are called Flix and Aphid.

Naivara bullshitted her way out of one of the only friendly campfires. She did not need to bluff, and yet.

Naivara turns into a wolf and “howls alluringly” near the fire with the cultists. She gets a return howl from one of the werewolves. She rubs her scent all over the place ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Naivara out to bone a werewolf. [not rly, she’s just making them fight the cultists for us].

Her mating call works. The werewolves fight the cultists for us. Afterwards, the cultists are all dead but the werewolves also are nowhere to be seen.

While the battle is raging, from a distance away, the two meatshields are having a convo. Tobi asks Kuori that, when they find his dad, can Kuori please not tell his dad that Tobi literally died. Kuori said he’ll try.

Naivara, Corkpop, and Ash loot bodies and gain a Cloak of Warmth [given to Tobi] and a extra quarterstaff [sadly not magical].

Naivara feeds the party Opium Soup. Corkpop abstains because he knows it’s drugged. The rest? They get real high. Kuori has 3 helpings. Tobi is knocked out on the floor within 30 mins because he’s a goblin. Ash is the real chosen of Tyr. He has to be a paladin now.

The morning after, Tobi does request that Naivara like... asks for his consent before drugging him. He’d be cool with it. If she’d asked him.

We head off to the tower next to Fantasy Burning Man.
