The Louvre Museum is literally an all day process to get appropriately 80% of the exhibitions knowledge, read the storytelling, and absorb the artwork. There is a big difference between Smithsonian and the Louvre Museum is the human storytelling. The Louvre Museum is the best to connect the history of the countries before North America (or the United States of America). I took photos of the exhibits or paintings related to me, my organizations, my heritage, my favorite season, and my favorite month. France and Catholicism is very ingrained or entwined with each other in telling the biblical stories in most of it surrounding Jesus Christ. On -1 level, I saw Richelieu 101-105 L'Olympiade, Sculptures/France, Denon 169-185 Sculptures/Europe, Islamic Art, and Greek Antiquities. Names from places and people run so deep, and explains some of the towns, cities, and people named in USA. On Level 0, in Richelieu wing, I saw Sculpture / France 200-226, Near Eastern Antiquities 230-316 and Denon wing, Sculptures / Europe 400-403, Roman Antiquities 339-405. On Level 1, on Richelieu wing, I saw decorative arts / Europe section 500-632, Sully wing Egyptian Antiquities section 633-641 and Greek and Roman Antiquities 651-703, Denon wing rooms 700-734 Paintings from everywhere including the Mona Lisa. In Denon wing, I ate at the cafe for lunch and it is easy to get lost in the Louvre. Thanks to the Louvre staff who helped me along the way. On Level 2, I had to zip through Richelieu wing and Sully wing to see Paintings / France and Northern Europe in rooms 800-952 because the museum was closing in 15 minutes.
I did not get to see Egyptian Antiquities in Sully wing 317-338, and Denon wing 424-433 Arts of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. I participated in Les Fetes des Jeux in the 13th arrondissement, which is also masked as Djoon nightclub Open Air party #2 and watch party for the Paris Paralympics.

Lionel Marciano, from France, is the person responsible for Black Coffee's international outbreak and success ultimately.
At the initial stages of the rise of Black Coffee in South Africa, after he had released his first ever album titled Black Coffee in 2005; Oskido, Dj Fresh, Greg Maloka, Dj Christos, and Glen Lewis, at their annual South African music conference invited Frank Rodger and Lionel Marciano (who was Frank Rodger's manager at the time and sound engineer at real tone records , France).
Dj Chirstos, at the music conference, told the two about Black Coffee and gave them his demo. Few months later after the music conference, Lionel Marciano got hold of Black Coffee after being enticed by his work on the demo and proposed to license two songs on the demo on vinyl in France. The two songs were Thetha (wathula nje) remix by Victor Ntoni and Even though remix by Bantu Soul (which later featured in his second album Have another one). The two songs became popular in France and neighbouring countries.
Later thereafter, Lionel Marciano who was also manager of Djoon disco club in Paris at the time, flied Black Coffee to come and play at the club. People drove from all over, including Amsterdam, etc to come and witness Black Coffee playing his music. The two songs were popular and everyone was singing them from lyric to lyric when Black Coffee was playing live. From thereafter, Lionel Marciano convinced Black Coffee to become his manager; and upto today, he remains Black Coffee's international manager.

In today's episode of 'How Lue Found New Music In A Really Roundabout Way', I present to you, Djoon Am.
And how did I find it? Weeeell... I joined the Sid City Social Club zoom meeting with Siddig el Fadil (Alexander Siddig), and there was a watch party for a different song by Djoon Am.
Why? Because Sid is a very proud dad, and rightfully so. Djoon Am is his sons project.
I was so impressed, I looked up the other songs.
And. Oh. My. God. This music is soothing my brain in a way I haven't felt before. I have listened to nothing else since Monday. My mood is improved. I'm swearing about 50% less at my crochet. I'm getting writing done, when my motivation has previously dipped.
The album dropped today, and it's been on loop since.
Please, do yourself a favour and have a listen.

🎶 Tomoki Tamura @ Djoon
Recently I've been trying to find ways to keep me engaged with the more dry, repetitive content. Like a lot of Tamura's sets have been my favorite to take notes to. Or I'll listen to a lecture at 1.5x speed while folding laundry. Or work-out/stretch to required podcasts/videos. Sometimes if a live lecture is dragging on I'll start playing stardew valley or animal crossing because the low mental effort keeps my attention on the lecture content and off my phone. Incorporating studying into my everyday activites instead of chunking out time explicitly dedicated towards studying has been the best balance I can get.

wait im confused. is there a different way yall pronounce June? bc fhats just joon which is one letter off of pronouncing dune like doon
uhmmm no this is how I pronounce it I would say. I wrote the words like “doon” and “djune” bc we have uhh “doonas” here which r like blankets I suppose and that’s pronounced “doon”. whereas how i pronounce “dune” is basically just how i would say the month “june” with a barely-there d sound in front which is why I wrote the month o(-(
Idk man it’s late I tried my best 💔
anyway yea I guess “doon” and “djoon” prob would’ve made more sense bc the difference is I throw a j in there to spice things up akdjs (<- I think this is an accent thing I’m so hoping it’s not just a me thing..)
