My personal headcanon is that Haymitchs talent is gardening.
And not just any gardening, no, he likes to chaos garden. He buys expensive seeds and cheap ones. Whatever catches his fancy, walks out to his backyard, and throws them every direction.
It doesn't matter if they succeed or fail. He's in it for the shits and giggles and to say "yes I do have a talent." When people are forced to do the interview for it, he very proudly shows them the dump that is his backyard. Eaten away by vine and plants that choke out everything in its path. He doesn't water it or bother checking them.
Nah, the most he does is just toss the seeds and let nature work itself out.

not being able to eat half the major food groups is fine for me actually. eating anything sucks in general so its fine. its fine and i feel great about it.
#unfortunately for me the two things that make life bearable (stimulants and working out) both require me to eat a LOT#im really trying to make healthy choices for my body and not let it rot and fall into disrepair but its so harrrrrd#i hate cooking and i hate food and its all so fucking difficult its not worth the effort#but i need real food and lots of it to not pass out migraine lightheaded kms. ugh#i couldnt even finish half my breakfast. what the fuck gives lol. how do i fix THAT.#plus i still don't understand why im having migraines and NERVE pain and the thing where my leg feels like itll buckle w no warning#when im fairly active and have been for two months w no similar pains#literally living in this house is somehow poisoning me bshxnecjsn

i am desperately trying to be more active but i'm experiencing mental burnout. just want to say thank you for the interactions even when i'm only checking in here now and again - i'll respond when i'm feeling better! <3
#nothing really happened - work and the house just got on top of me.#for context i was promoted to a management position in october and i hit my stride so i have a lot of responsibilities and i'm hhh.#having to play catch up in terms of skillset. i'm good at my job but i'm not the best - therefore ? i must keep pushing :y#as for home... Stop flipping houses and making everything white & gray. We need things to be outdated and for wood paneling to be everywhere again
#100% serious and ok maybe living in a house with wood paneling everywhere for the past 4 months has radicalized me but still#just let places look like shit again and have personality i'm so tired of everything having to be renovated & boring anymore#and not just with houses bring back places looking cool & vintage again like bowling alleys & grocery stores & diners#just thinking about how my dad's family room used to be wood paneling w/ brown shag carpet & a nautical theme#but my stepmother painted it all white & gray and put in wood floor so it looks boring & generic now :( WHERE'S THE PERSONALITY#just please take your modern style & go buy newer houses or houses that are in total disrepair or something leave the cool old houses alone#i seriously think i'd be so much happier if i lived in the late 70s/early 80s lol#this post has been brought to you by me watching napoleon dynamite & loving the aesthetic of it haha#p

#luciano didnt go to jail but AURELIO DID and after he was freed i made them buy out the police station.#they own the restaurant/bookshop + the police station now. still broke though and the house is in a constant state of disrepair#i figured aurelio would advance faster or at least they would advance equally as fast but no luciano is already on level 3#now that i think abt it i shouldntve made them husbands because now theyre legally tied to eachother#and if one gets caught... it would lead right back to the other....#but thats just me overthinking the narrative. sims are stupid and their cops are stupider

I finally fixed up my workspace so it feels cozy
#forgive me my poor cord management#kudos to my architect landlord for the cool windows and wood#heavy criticism to my architect landlord for letting the rest of the house fall into moldy rotten disrepair#like my man#u gotta do more than sweep the roof once a year#also that plant is fake because i learned the hard way that nothing survives a subzero unheated shed#h#and i will probably never finish dune but it’s a good reference for novel design

people like to bring up things like "all your loved ones would die before you" as a concern re: immortality. But the real danger for me would be that i'd literally never get anything done again. I'd adopt the elvish lifestyle immediately. Not doing anything in a week that could be done in a century. Not getting anything done in a century that can be done in 10 centuries. Spending the next 100 years reading 1 book very slowly because i have infinite time and don't care.
