Minho seemed to have had a six sense for your gaze - (you hated to admit but whenever his back was to you, the temptation to trail your eyes down there was just to hard to resist) and turned with a small and tentative smirk.

"Ya, jagiya...you know my eyes are up here..." His laughter didn't reach his eyes. You looked tired, and he hated that you wasted the day alone and instead of with him because he had to go and put his foot in his mouth about one of your biggest insecurites.

He turned whatever was on the stove down to a simmer and walked towards you.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft.

You hesitated, not wanting to reopen the wound from earlier but knowing that you couldn't ignore the issue or it'd get worse. "It's just… what you said. It really hurt, Minho."

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I know. I never want to hurt you. I guess I just don't always think before I speak."

You looked at him, seeing the sincerity in his eyes. "I know you don't mean to be harsh, but it still affects me. I've always struggled with being organized, and hearing you criticize it makes me feel like I'm not good enough."

Minho reached out, taking your hand in his. "You're more than good enough. I'm the one who needs to be more careful with my words. I love you, and I want to support you, not make you feel worse."

"You don't have to jagi...I cleaned up while you were asleep to say sorry.." He said nervously. "And I cooked us dinner, and dessert for a movie marathon?" He propsed. "And bought some wine..."

You smiled at your boyfriend, as he waited for the words.

"You're forgiven Minho." You say placing a kiss on his lips. "The apartment looks beautiful by the way. I'll try my best to maintain it. But...I may need a little help." You move your lips closer to his with a smile. He gives you a sultry look and a hearty chuckle as he kisses you this time, his lips moving along yours slowly.

"I think a helper could be arranged." He murmured against your lips. "I don't think the guys will miss me all that much if I moved in. They'll still see me everyday at practice."

"So...I take that as a yes?"

"Well if that was your way of asking me to move in than yes."

From that day on, Minho made a conscious effort to be more mindful of his words. He helped you organize your things without judgment, turning it into a fun activity that you could do together rather than a chore. "Girls! When you get home I expect you to help your father and I pick up this room, its messy. You don't want to live in a messy house do you? I know your father doesn't."

Minho chuckled as he picked up a scruffed up bear and two shoes that belonged to two different girls. You had the other two in your hands.

"But what if I do?" He asked, smiling a little, his nose scrunching up.

"What if you do what?"

"Want to live in a messy house."

"Babe, you hate being disorganized."

He smiles, pulling you closer to him. "I think it's grown on me." He mumbles leaning into kiss you but instead you feel a small but mighty force hit your legs.

"Appa! We're gonna be late! We're watching a movie at school today I can't be late." Mi-Ae exclaims, flailing her hands like the world is ending. Bora waddles in too, immediately reaching for Minho to pick her up.

He scoops up one daughter in each arm. "Hmmph- okay lets go." He leans in to give you a kiss. "I'll see you after work jagiya." He says as your daughters make disgusted noises, and Ryung starts blabbering.

You smile as you watch him walk out with both of your daughters leaning on him. And break out laughing as you hear Bora's faint voice. Your heart swelling with extreme happiness.

I saw the thing about sharps containers and let me be the one to say: A lot of things we consume on a daily basis, when properly sealed and marked, can be a sharps container! I use jugs of water (need distilled water for my CPAP) that I've emptied, bc they're rather tough. You have to clearly mark that they are a sharps container, with sharpies, and tape the top lid closed. You can also use aluminum cans, soda bottles, and other jugs (think lemonade, Kool-Aid, Sunny-D, etc!) again you just have to tape the top shut with duct tape preferably and sharpie it to death with a warning!

At a first glance, he could tell you were a bit apprehensive of him. This was nothing new, after all he carried such an intimidating title attached to him since he was young. Despite it all, you always greeted him with a smile and such warm words. There was no doubt that you were a kind girl at heart, but there was so much more to it than that to him. Your compassionate nature didn’t come with a catch, nor did it waiver the closer you and him became, it only strengthened his feelings towards you.

You always thought he had been exaggerating when he had expressed how just you alone could calm his overwhelming sweet tooth when your relationship with him first began, but he truly meant every word of it, no matter how dramatic it sounded.

“No, it’s not that,” you slightly bit the lower corner of your lip. “I just wish we could’ve gone together. You’ve been workin’ so much, y’know?”

Satoru paused for a moment, placing the treats on his desk as he got up from the comfort of his office chair. “I know baby,” he uttered sympathetically as his arms engulfed your body. “‘M sorry,” he said as he pressed his lips to your forehead. “When I have free time, I promise I’ll take you on the best trip ‘n you’ll have my full attention.”

“You mean it,” your eyes glistened with excitement at his words. A full trip where you could simply enjoy each other’s company, the thought alone was lovely.

“Y’know I don’t like to make promises I can’t honor,” a grin found its way to his face. “Of course I mean it.”

As you subconsciously squeezed him tighter, pulling him closer for a soft kiss, you heard the sound of snickers just as your lips were about to connect… his first year students. You pulled away from him, despite the small pout on his face.

“Before we get to that, I gotta assign my students here, more work. Clearly they seem to have a bunch of time to kill,” he spoke in a sarcastic yet matter-of-fact manner, laughing at their pleads for mercy. “Utahime’s been houndin’ me about your academic performance anyway. Perfect timing if you ask me.”

“Come on ‘Toru, go easy on them,” you remarked while trying to contain your own laughter.

“…Maybe I’ll let the assignments slide for today.”

“And just like that, he folds,” Itadori blinked, in awe at how quick he was to change his decision because of your interjection.

“It’s almost impressive how much control she has over someone like Gojo,” Nobara chimed in. Megumi shook his head.

“It’s nothing like that,” he sighed as if he knew all too well the truth of his mentor’s nature. “He’s just soft. Always has been.”

“Now now,” Gojo cleared his throat, it was telling he had been a bit embarrassed by the back and forth banter of his students. “Maybe I should switch things up a little bit— and teach you all a small life lesson.” This promise of a new lesson seemed to pique the interests of Nobara and Itadori. “When you find the love of your life—” he began as he looked over to you, however his speech was cut off by the simultaneous groans of his students.

“How informative,” you joked, followed by such a genuine laugh that spread to him so easily. Though you did learn something new with his eight words— that he saw you as the love of his life.

Maybe it wasn’t so bad to be Gojo Satoru’s sweetener afterall.

Life Hack - Office Worker Self Care Kit

Here's a little life hack I've developed as a person who's worked in some kind of office environment for most of their adult life. If you have a personal workstation with the capacity for a small storage bin and the security to leave personal items on a longterm basis (i.e. in a locked drawer), make yourself a self-care kit. It's a lifesaver on the days when you've run late or just aren't feeling your best.

All it takes is a shoebox-sized storage bin with a secure lid. You can use inexpensive items and travel-sized containers to save space, and personalize the contents to your own needs. Don't worry about keeping a huge supply of anything - just a few emergency backups. And don't leave anything in the kit that would get you in trouble with the bosses or that you'd regret losing, just in case.

Here's what I keep in mine:

Travel-sized toothbrush and toothpaste

Travel-sized deodorant

Mini bottle of dry shampoo

Folding hairbrush with mirror and spare scrunchie

Tweezers, nail clippers, and emery board

Travel-sized facial cleanser and small silicon scrub pad

Small tins of moisturizer and hand cream

Small bottle of hand sanitizer

Small bottle of medicine for aches and pains

Packets of medicine for stomach trouble

Period supplies (pads, tampons, and one of those warming packs for cramp relief)

A few bandaids and alcohol wipes

Bottle of clear nail polish (trust me)

Laundry pen for removing stains

Travel-sized bottle of fabric refresher spray

Spare bottle of energy drink

Spare earbuds

Spare charge cable

A couple of disposable face masks

Emergency breath-freshening gum

Emergency granola bar (replace often)

Emergency bundle of liquid concealer, mascara, brow pencil, and tinted chapstick (this covers MANY sins)

And yes, this all fits into the bin with room to spare. Some of it the smaller items are stowed together in cheap pencil cases, just to make it easier to find things quickly.

This is something you can also keep in your car or have ready to toss into your luggage if you travel often. It's also great for keeping in your locker (if you're able to do so) just for those OH NO moments during the school day. And you can customize the contents to your personal needs.

Are your scissors dull? Would you like tips regarding sewing needles?

If you're having a difficult time cutting through material, your scissors likely need sharpening. There are two ways I've used for this, and they're both very effective.

The semi-free version:

Take aluminum foil, a long sheet of it, and fold this into about four layers.

Cut through all four layers, in thin strips, with your scissor. I make the strips less than half an inch apart, and cut the long way. You will need to be careful because the edges of the foil will be sharp.

After you get through all four layers at least six to eight times, fold what's left of the sheet in half. This will create eight layers, cut through these until the sheet is gone.

Test your scissors by cutting through scraps. I've made children's scissors sharp enough to cut through four layers of fabric when I use this method.

The inexpensive version.

Purchase this. You can find it in fabric stores, craft stores, and even a department store (like Walmart) in their crafting supply section. I bought mine at Joann Fabrics, when they had a sale, for less than $8.

Scissor sharpeners are super easy to use. Just follow the instructions they come with. Basically, you slide them in, and pull them out like you're cutting.

You won't need to do many passes for most scissors, but you will make children's scissors very dangerous.

For very small scissors, like applique or embroidery types.

Use the semi-free section.

You will only need two layers for the first pass, not nearly as much as you would for larger blades. So make the sheet smaller.

After five or six passes, fold the layers in half for four layers. Make several more passes.

Test your scissors to see how sharp they are. If unsatisfied, make more passes through the foil layers.

For hand-sewing sharpening needles, the little strawberry attached to the tomato pincushions serves that purpose. Stab your needle through that a few times. I find it works only so many times before I simply need to switch to a new one.

As for machine sewing needles, sharpening them borders on pointless. I suggest using Organ Needles if price is a big issue for you. My experience with Organ Needles has been phenomenal. The low price and high count, and the fact they last just as long as the name brand stuff you find in supply shops is just a bonus.

I have a pack of 100 sewing needles for less than $30. Compare that to the $10-$20 a package of five or ten name brand needle packs cost. Even if half the needles in my 100 pack start dull, it's still less than what I would otherwise pay. Thus far, this hasn't happened.

My needles go dull swiftly when I do any foundation paper piecing, stitching through fabric and paper, and paper dulls scissors* real quick. Imagine how fast that is with a needles, making hundreds of stitch through all those layers. If I notice the stitches look messy, I switch out my needle. I still have over half left, and have been using the same pack for around a year now.

If you're wondering how to dispose of the used sewing needles, may I suggest a plastic bubblegum container? I used to chew gum all the time, but had to stop after my doctor explained it's very bad due to my TMD/TMJ (and having hEDS also explains why large pieces of gum would dislocate my jaw). Because of my habit of keeping perfectly acceptable containers, I had two empty ones. One is used for my handsewing, like a little trash container. Opening and closing the floor models is irritating, and the fact I have a cat means all trashcans in this house must have a lid. Anyway...I use my second to hold used needles, broken or bent pins, and after four years of using this, the thing isn't even a quarter of the way filled. It'll likely be decades before emptying it will be necessary. The hard plastic edges make it impossible for any of the pointy ends from puncturing, thus making it safe for all and no trash bags will suffer.

no "wisdom" necessarily but i am proud to say that i have brain hacked myself into purchasing less iced coffee than i make at home by stocking up on the same kinds of disposable 20 oz cups and lids and straws that i rlly enjoy drinking coffee out of. so now instead of getting to the point of "is this a good cup for coffee? man im gonna have to wash this do i really wanna bother? i'll just grab one from dunkin real quick" with our normal cups i have just a dedicated set of plasticware that i use specifically for iced cold brew at home. it sensationally feels the same as a cafe iced coffee because of the container, it tastes better because im using all the ingredients i know i like, and even using store-bought coffee instead of my cold brew pitcher when im feeling extra lazy is a bi-weekly expense at most compared to a daily one. it's awesome.
