Hugo Madrigal Prepon Headcanons;

His full name is Hugo Jerónimo Madrigal Prepon.

He is 12 years old by d3.

He is the biological child of Ario Berra Ausentarse—he was abandoned in the donkey pen during a storm as a newborn and adopted by Camilo Madrigal and Yanamaria Earlene Maldonado Amaya (and later, Mina Preppon). 

He was found on Camilo's 30th birthday and now shares a birthday with him—meaning his birthday is considered to be on and celebrated on December 28th. 

He only considers Camilo and Mina his parents. 

Hugo is a student at Auradon Prep and Member of the School Newspaper, where he writes a column about the student pets. 

When he grows up he wants to be a wildlife conservationist or a zoologist when he grows up. Though if he could write books or magazines only about wildlife, he would. 

Hugo has been described as quiet, loyal, kind, socially awkward, cautious, friendly, sensitive, and well-behaved. But he can also be sneaky when needed, playful, hardworking, street smart, wild, cuddly, insecure, timid, occasionally inattentive, and a bit of an animal loving, flower child. 

He has the gift of Zoomorphosis. 

He's single and currently interested in romance. 

Hugo is friends with the were-people of Sherwood and Wonderland, like Bobby Hood and Chester—as well as Bug Boogie. 

He also has a pet toucan that Antonio gave him named ‘Bamboo’. 

Hugo is an avid bird watcher since he has a strange obsession with them. 

He owns a lot of bird themed Hawaiian shirts—the first one was a gag gift given to him by his brother, Carlos. 

Hugo has skin that is a bit darker than his father's with a reddish tint to it, big brown eyes, and short black hair that is curly, wavy, and very messy—as well as two moles above his mouth/around his lips that vaguely resembles a mustache. 

So messy in fact that his parents can't seem to get it straightened out no matter how hard they try. No gel works. Brushing it doesn't help. 

He loves being out and about unlike his younger brother, José, who is more of a homebody than he is. 

Hugo is well-behaved but a terrible student due to his short attention and lack of interest in most subjects. The only classes he is even remotely good at all involve animals in some way (like biology) except for math. 

He and his uncle, Antonio, are quite close with one another, Miranda (Pepa's cousin), and Ryder (Luisa's husband) due to their shared love of animals.

Between his parents, Hugo is closer to his mother, Mina. 

Between his grandparents, Hugo is closer to Félix because of how laid back he can be. 

Out of his siblings, he is the closest to Carlos (because of how close in age they are) and Sofia (who, like him, is quiet). 

He is a vegetarian for the most part.

His favorite food is Arroz con gandules.

His favorite drink is apple juice but he also just likes juice and milk in general.

His favorite snack is sunflower seeds. 

His favorite book is ‘Papagayo: The Mischief Maker’. 

His favorite holiday is Halloween.

His favorite teacher is the biology teacher, Abigail. 

His favorite school event is Spirit Day. 

His favorite business in Auradon is The Merrymen’s cafe.  

His favorite show was ‘Wharf Watch’ before it got cancelled. Now his favorite show is ‘Dog with a Blog’. 

His favorite class is Dragon Anatomy Class.

Hugo is a boy scout. 

He doesn’t have social media but he does have Auratube. His favorite video game would probably be swarm, if he had access to it. 

His favorite dessert is ‘Glowing Carmel with Fresh Cheese’.

His favorite candy is gummi snakes. 

His favorite band is the Donkey-ettes, because he prefers their genre over the other more popular bands in Auradon. 

His favorite song by the Donkey-ettes is ‘Gamble Of The Morning’ but he also rather likes ‘Daydreams For Sale’ and ‘The Donkey's brat’. 

Hugo, like his adoptive father, fully suspects that Giovanni is his half brother but doesn’t acknowledge because they’re already family—what should blood matter?

His favorite colors are salmon pink and canary yellow.

Hugo has autism and is selectively mute. 

Because he mostly gets along with all of his siblings and cousins, he usually has to play mediator between them. 

He knows a lot of animal facts—mostly about birds. 

As of now, he isn’t really interested in boys, girls, or other—-in any way other than platonically, really. He doesn’t really get the appeal. 

He doesn’t like being in large crowds—if they’re strangers. Funnily enough large crowds don’t bother him if it’s his family and their friends. 

His hobbies include bird watching, butterfly catching, feeding the animals, marine biology, zoology, writing, pet sitting, sand sculpting, animal drawing/painting, catch and release  fishing, catch and release hunting, Fútbol, occasional prank pulling, beekeeping, horseback riding, falconry, walking, jogging, flower picking, lock picking, improvised cooking, yoga, pottery, jigsaw puzzles, fruit/berry picking, entomology, knitting, crochet, miniature model making, reading, foraging,  and playing in the mud. 

Hugo considers six to be his lucky number.

Hugo is, funnily enough given his special interest in birds, is afraid of heights. He is also afraid of going to jail because once one of his cousins teased him telling him he would when they caught him trying to pick a lock. He also didn’t really like the dark as a kid but he grew out of it. 

He’s also claustrophobic though no one really knows why. 

The only cousin he doesn’t quite get on with all the time is Ligera, which is mainly due to the fact that she doesn’t like the fact he and Carlos also joined the school newspaper. He and Carlos don’t really mind sharing the hobby but Ligera didn’t like the fact they took ‘her thing’ (Hugo thinks it’s because she’s insecure about standing out only because her gift at school and because she wanted to stand out in the family but he hasn’t said anything because he doesn’t think it’s his business). 

His first word was ‘no’. Pepa had asked him if he wanted to play with the other kids on the playground—his answer threw her for a loop, lol. 

People often mistake him for Antonio's son because of how similar in personality they are and because of their closeness. 

Animals don't really scare him the way they do most people. Even as a baby they didn't. 

They did scare Camilo who would often find his son hugging a dangerous animal or holding an extremely venomous bug after leaving the kid alone for half a second, though.

He has a stuffed sulphur-crested cockatoo named ‘No’ that Mirabel made him shortly after he first joined the family. 

Mirabel also made him a canary yellow and salmon pink patterned quilt with sulphur-crested cockatoos and toucans on it. 

His earliest memory is of when he was about three or four, and it's a bit hazy—but he does know that he was crying in it because his blanket that he used to carry around with him religiously got ripped a bit when a couple of his cousins were roughhousing and accidentally dragged him into it. He doesn't remember much other than that. 

Thankfully Mirabel was avail to repair the blanket but it was never quite the same afterwards and Hugo is still a bit bigger about it because he doesn't think it's fair it got damaged when he rarely ever argues with his cousins or siblings.

Hugo has only uttered the words ‘I hate you!’ once in his life and he doesn't even remember doing it. He said it to his cousins, Rick and Miguel Jr, because they were the ones who got his blanket ripped. 

One time he got a concussion during dodgeball—Carlos still feels bad about it. 

Hugo has questioned his sanity more than once because of how rowdy his family can be. 

He bites his nails, bites his lips, and fidgets with the hem of his shirt when he's nervous.

He secretly thinks crayfish are creepy and doesn't like being around them.

Hugo is usually anxious/nervous to do things he isn't fully sure he's allowed to do without permission. That doesn't stop him from occasionally getting up to mischief.

Carlos and Hugo made a bet when they were five and six that they're STILL both trying to win. However they won't tell anyone what it is. 

He hates it when Carlos steals his food but that doesn't stop his brother.

He's passive while Carlos is more aggressive.

Hugo hates it whenever Carlos, Belinda, Leta,  and José ask him questions because usually when they do it's the weirdest, most impossible thing to answer or something that he won't be able to rest until it's answered.

That's usually how he gets dragged into mischief. 

He's banned from drinking most caffeinated drinks because one time he drank so many energy drinks, sodas, and cups of coffee that he woke up to find that he locked himself in a trunk in the attic. No one knows how he managed that. Except Carlos, who has pictures that he doesn't remember taking.

They've both agreed not to speak of it. 

He didn't learn his lesson the first time: he only learned that he should not drink too much caffeine after his second introduction to it. 

The newspaper club does not talk about it or how they found him asleep in a cage at the zoo. 

Camilo, Mina, and Carlos can always tell when an animal is actually Hugo in disguise. Hugo doesn't know how.

Hugo is rather average when it comes to how tidy he keeps things. He's not overly messy or overly clean. 

Hugo likes puppet shows (think shows like Elmo, the Muppets, and Welcome Home). 

He doesn't swear unless things are very serious. That's not to say that he doesn't know how to. He just thinks that Carlos swears and talks enough for the both of them. 

His door features a toucan with his head on it, his mouth twisted into a frown—eyes staring off into the distance. It always throws people for a loop when they see it. 

The floor in Hugo's room is a yellowish gold color and wooden while the walls are gray with a pattern of pink parrots, white teal winged and pink haired cockatoos, red Anemones, and toucans. 

His ceiling is the typical white popcorn ceiling, but it is also covered in colorful glow-in-the-dark butterflies. Dangling from the ceiling are handmade windchimes that's metal has been shaped into birds. 

There is a salmon pink flamingo shaped rug on the floor. 

His bed rests on the sidewall the entrance to his door is on—with his headboard facing the door. It's a twin bed with a capybara headboard and a pink and yellow pillow and blanket set with a snake pattern. 

Resting on the bed is his stuffed cockatoo, his baby blanket, and a full body flamingo  pillow that he was gifted by Antonio on his tenth birthday.

Beside his bed, near his headboard, is a light wooded nightstand a similar color to his floor with red Anemones & green and blue hummingbirds on it's drawer and sides. 

On top of the nightstand is a cockatoo shaped lamp and a picture of him, Carlos, Belinda, and Leta. 

Above his headboard is a Donkey-ettes poster. 

In another corner of his room is a side door to an enclosure for his pet Toucan, Bamboo. The door is toucan shaped. 

He has a single butterfly shaped window in his room. 

Across from his bed and under the windows is a capybara shaped /decorated desk where his notebooks, art supplies, holiday homework, and laptop are stored. The desk is one of those desks that has a hood. 

On top of his desk in the corners rests one of those toys that dances in the sunlight: it's a pair of four birds dancing together in beachwear.

Below the window and above the desk is a bookshelf holding the few books Hugo has and a snow globe with a jungle inside of it. 

There is an area in his room where he makes his sculptures and pottery (yes, he has a sand waterfall in that area). There's a small pond there too. 

On the wall left of his door is a wooden dresser that matches his floor with a pattern of paw prints, bird feathers, jaguars, and red Anemone flowers. 

On top of the dresser is a (badly made and very colorful) vase shaped like a jaguar with real Anemone flowers, a couple of animal figurines, and a picture frame holding a picture of him, Antonio, Miranda, Dayana, and Giovanni. 

There are a few other wall decorations, ranging from animal paintings he was gifted, a poster he made of Wharf Watch when he was seven, a few awards he's gotten, and some framed papers he's written.

Hugo also has a couple of other stuffed animals and figurines strewn across his room. 

The twelve year old absolutely adores his room and always has. The only room he likes even more than his own is Antonio's. 

When Hugo's gift acts up he finds it difficult to keep to one form (think the scene where Camilo is losing control of his gift but it's Hugo shapeshifting into different animals or some weird Frankenstein of different animal and human parts). 

His sinuses always give him trouble. 

When he's overwhelmed in his room, the birds in his room start making bird noises that get louder and louder until he's comforted.

Most of his Auradon Prep classmates keep forgetting he exists because he's so quiet. It annoys him when they try to get him to talk when he isn't feeling it and usually when that happens he'll hide with one of his siblings or cousins. Though he's also learned that he can hide with one of Dopey's children and the Smee Twins and it has the same affect (meaning people leave him the fuck alone because they'll just get stared down by multiple silent children who will refuse to speak to him).

Penelope (daughter of Pinocchio and Alice) Penelope always smells of wood and paint, and always has fresh sawdust on her apron from carving; she is very artsy and loves sketching and painting, as well as reading books. (Her grandfather Geppetto taught her how to carve when she was younger, and now she loves creating and making things.)

She is much like her father (happy-go-lucky, etc), but she is also mature for her age. She is 14 years old.

She is also a dancer (mainly dances ballet, contemporary, and tap).

Her nickname is Ellie, and her favorite snack is warm cinnamon rolls.

Sophie (daughter of Stromboli) Sophie is a dancer and a gymnast, and loves performing. Like her father, she has a bit of a temper when she gets angry (but not as much).

Chrissy (daughter of the Coachman) Chrissy and her father are almost polar opposites. She owns a small whip that her father has gifted her, she has vowed to herself never to use it to beat animals (she loves animals and would never treat them cruelly); she only uses it to practice whip-cracking tricks. Her eyes sometimes flash green when she's angry.

She is 15 years old.

Chrissy loves animals; she has taken in a baby donkey, which she has named Posy. (the Coachman was going to leave Posy to die, as he didn't need any more donkeys at the moment; Chrissy started to care for her)

Evelyn (daughter of The Blue Fairy) Evelyn is half-fairy, half-human. She is a rebel, and very sarcastic. She provides the dark humor in her friend group. Evelyn is very kind and supportive of her friends, despite being sarcastic. Despite magic not being used in Auradon, she uses her magic often; using her wand made from sapphire.

Petunia is the young daughter of Lampwick and Tiger Lily. She loves playing pool (and even has a custom billiards cue stick that her father bought for her) and is really good at it. She loves comfy clothes, and her favorite drink is warm ginger tea with honey and lemon.

Petunia's favorite color is lavender, and her second favorite color is green. She loves floral scented candles. (I apologize, I could only find a darker lavender in Gacha and not a lighter one lol)

My Descendants OCs’ Royal Cotillion outfits:

Mina begrudgingly agrees to wear something at least semi-formal for the Cotillion. She ends up getting a comfortable, stylish outfit tailor-made by Evie that she genuinely loves: a black suit with red and blue accents, black leather fingerless gloves, silver chunky boots with black soles and a silver chain necklace with a paw print pendant. She doesn’t wear any makeup. To her surprise, she enjoys looking smart and beautiful, being complimented and dancing with her friends. She’s glad that the event doesn’t last any longer, but gains some respect for Auradonian customs and learns that she can express herself in a variety of ways.

Terry’s look is darker and higher contrast than his normal style, consisting of a dark green suit with gold trim, buttons and a lily pad outlined in gold thread embroidered on the upper left front of jacket, a gold waistcoat, a deep teal shirt, a blue bowtie, black patent leather shoes with gold buckles and socks and fingernails painted sparkly dark green. He paints his nails sometimes. He likes it. This outfit contrasts his bright, cheerful coronation outfit, which had a light green, sunny yellow and sky blue colour palette with yellow nail polish, and reflects his more serious mood at the time - in advance, at least.

Chelsea wears an Evie’s 4 Hearts outfit: an elegant body-hugging dress that fades from deep, dusky purple at the top to pale pink at the bottom like the sky at sunset, dainty white heels and a wavy gold necklace with little firefly shapes along it that have yellowish green peridot gemstones as their bioluminescent abdomens. Her hair is in a crowd braid and she has light pink lipstick and eyeshadow.

José Madrigal Prepon Headcanons;

His full name is José Lorenzo Madrigal Prepon.

He is 8 years old by d3.

He is the only biological child of both Mina Prepon and Camilo Madrigal, and the youngest of five.

Has been told he looks a lot like his dad, right down to his smile.

He's also been told that he looks like a frog when he smiles.

His birthday is March 7th.

José is short with skin that's a bit tanner than Camilo's but lighter than Mina’s, ovalish-shaped brown eyes, a button nose, big ears, and wild wavy/messy black hair that goes down to just below his ears.

He has the gift of 'Suspicious Telekinesis'. Which basically means everyone thought he had telekinesis but after Dayana got her gift, they discovered that he in fact does not have telekinesis but instead an invisible monster that follows him around and moves things for him.

This freaked José out at first but now he just runs with it.

He's double jointed and very flexible.

He's been nicknamed boneless, Pequeño estafador, Mi estafa mab, pequeña rana, and sneaky.

Dayana helps both of them communicate with one another now.

José has named the monster Ésoj and calls the monster his best friend.

He is a student at the Encanto’s only public school and he plans to go to a school outside of the Encanto the moment he's allowed because he thirsts for adventure.

José is also running a kid-casino out of his room, which his cousins—Dayana Espinosa Madrigal and Avila Marquez Madrigal—help him with.

José has been running scams since he was in diapers. Much to the bafflement of the rest of the family.

This is not an exaggeration: baby José literally figured out he could get attention from his parents if they thought he'd fallen or if he cried.

He wants to run a Theme Park and Casino when he grows up, and has thought about how he'd like to decorate it and what kind of rides there would be. Some are more practical than others.

José has been described as carefree, mischievous, sneaky, dishonest, obnoxious, slightly manipulative, bossy, selfish, ill-mannered, playful, fun loving, and occasionally impulsive. But he’s also intuitive, hardworking, charismatic, business minded, and a people reader.

The eight year old is single and uninterested in romance as of now. It is unknown whether it will change or not in the future.

He is friends with Mercedes Hood, Rosabio Hood, Jamie Darling, Henry Crewel, and Kansas Russo of Neverland.

Out of his cousins, he is the closest to Dayana and Avila.

Between his parents, José is closer to Camilo because of their similar personalities.

Out of his siblings, José is closest to Amelia because the two of them are considered the more spiteful of Camilo’s children.

Though he does get along with Carlos as well.

José likes playing pool, pulling pranks, fútbol, playing ‘catch me’ with Casita, picket pocketing people he doesn’t like, giving advice, graffiti, flower picking, cars, croquet, sneaking seconds, canoeing with Antonio, leapfrog, frog catching, trap setting, thrifting, laser tag, gaming, home improvement, paintball, roughhousing, kart racing, and drawing/sketching.

He isn’t very good at art but finds it calming and helpful for planning out his schemes and what his business will look at.

He adores theme parks and carnivals and could happily spend all day in one.

José doesn’t like it when his parents (or his siblings with their partners) get all mushy in front of him—he finds it gross.

José finds books boring and doesn’t like reading them. But he does read magazines when he feels like it.

He also can’t play an instrument to save his life.

He also can’t really cook most things to save his life, either, though he’s decent enough when it comes to making carnival, theme park, and circus like foods.

Antonio is his favorite uncle.

Félix is his favorite grandparent, though he gets along with Pepa just fine. He also gets along with his mother’s great aunt, Mata, quite well too.

He has ADHD.

José has a pet Gastric-Brooding Frog that he named ‘Flapjack’. Not even Antonio knows where he got his hands on an extinct frog.

The eight year old loves Flapjack deeply and would be distraught if anything happened to him.

He has Astraphobia and trypanophobia.

He has ended up on the wrong end of people’s wrath on more than one occasion due to both his personality in general and his cons/scams/pranks—which of course, scares and worries his family who don’t want to see him hurt.

Luckily most of the people leave him alone when he scurries to hide behind one of his older family members���usually Amelia, since she doesn’t tell anyone about what José has done and typically doesn’t care what he’s done, and will protect him fiercely without scolding him afterwards. If she's not available, he goes to Carlos for similar reasons.

José loves vests and has several of them to go along with most of his outfits. A lot of his clothes are striped and he can often be found wearing the flower that Isabela gave him shortly before his gift ceremony to calm him down after he got scared by the thunder.

He is a pretty decent actor when he wants to be and would probably be amazing in theatre if he was interested (which he likely will be when he’s older, considering how much fun he has pretending to be a conman/ringmaster/performer).

His favorite colors are grey, black, red, gold, and light purple.

His favorite magazines are ‘Good Castlekeeping’, ‘Wicked Weekly’, and ‘National Aristocratic’.

His favorite shows are ‘Auradon’s Ninja Warriors’ and any variation of ‘The Muppets’. He also loves watching Auratube—Jordan is his favorite Auratuber.

José likes playing video/arcade/board games but also likes watching them. He’s very competitive though, which can cause some problems. His favorite video game is ‘Crown of Duty’ and his favorite arcade game is ‘Knock 'N Down, Win A Crown’.

His favorite band after d3 is ‘The Bad Apples’. Before that he preferred The Dragon Slayers.

His favorite song is ‘Finders Keepers’.

His favorite foods are corn dogs, pizza, and Empanadas.

His favorite candies are Villain Straps, Poisoned Apples, and Fairy Bubble Gums. He loves blowing really big bubbles.

His favorite desserts are pumpkin pastries, funnel cakes, and jelly donuts.

His favorite drinks that he’s allowed to drink are lulo juice and chocolate milk. But he also really likes coffee, energy drinks, and soda. None of which he’s allowed to drink after the Casita Energy Drink incident.

José isn’t allowed to gamble but finds ways around that rule.

He’s considered a bad kid by many in the Encanto (though he’d never want to hurt anyone).

Thinks tourney is boring but finds R.O.A.R interesting and fun because Isabela and Bubo taught him fencing and sword fighting. He wants to participate in it when he’s older.

The eight year old fidgets when he’s nervous.

José cracks knuckles a lot.

Remember when I said he was the youngest child? Well he very much acts like it.

José is great at debate/arguing with people and always has been. Camilo has been talked out of grounding him on more than one occasion and he STILL doesn’t know how he keeps falling for it. Mina finds it amusing.

José didn’t like Diego, Rosana, or Eleanor at first but once he figured out they wouldn’t hurt his siblings he started cutting them more slack.

He doesn’t like school and finds it torturously boring.

He is that one older cousin who is scaringly good at convincing the younger ones that something is true. Like when he convinced Renata that when she lies her ears turn red or when he convinced Giovanni that the Boogeyman was real (Giovanni wasn’t scared like he was aiming for, unfortunately, and instead started leaving sweets out for it).

José would commit tax fraud without a moment of hesitation if he was old enough.

He doesn’t like having his picture taken and will try to duck out of them at any given chance.

He is a picky eater.

Somehow he always manages to roll a 20 when he and his cousins play ‘Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons’. No one knows how.

José is very good at cheating in class and during games but no one can ever prove that he is doing it. José takes great joy in this fact. He calls hearsay whenever someone tries to claim he’s using his gift to cheat.

He is the 4th youngest boy in his extended family (right behind Dolores and Maraino"s twins, and Antonio’s son).

He is a surprisingly good student despite how ill-behaved he can be.

He finds Isabella's potato people creepy. He's scared of them.

Mirabel made his baby blanket and his first ever toy. A purple, black, and gold frog blanket with red flowers on it, and a frog plushie that he named ‘Leapie’.

If José had to choose a weapon, he'd either choose a slingshot, a canon, a sword, or a cue stick.

The reason why José is afraid of thunder and lightning is because Pepa startled him really badly one time after she lost her temper on Yanamaria when he was two. Pepa feels terrible about it to this day.

He's afraid of lightning because he got hurt badly by lightning one time (it wasn't Pepa's lightning, it was nature’s lightning). He has lightning scars all over his body from it.

He's allergic to shellfish.

Despite their differences, José is Mina’s baby and she will absolutely go to bat for him if anyone tries to hurt him.

He's still small enough for both of his parents to be able to carry him. Camilo does it often to annoy the people who keep saying José is too old to be carried regardless of whether or not he enjoys it.

Camilo inherited Pepa’s protectiveness when it comes to his children. If you have a problem with his babies, you have a problem with him. That protectiveness extends to the rest of his family too.

José had inherited this protectiveness.

He likes horror movies but is a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to them. Not that he'll admit it to Dayana or Avila. They'd never let him live it down.

One time, José broke the family tree on the wall and panicked—telling Leta and begging her to help him. Leta did, but unfortunately, her duplications aren't always perfect and Marcelo and Marisol and Mariana got swapped around on the tree.

Luckily no one has noticed.

He's good at making balloon animals, and it's his go-to gift to people.

José sounds like a mix of Antonio and Camilo but with a higher pitch.

His door shows him with a large shadow behind him that is easily mistaken for his shadow. His hand and the shadow’s hand outstretched with a pool ball floating above it.

The floor of his room is a light purple color and is carpet. His walls are black and grey, and striped. The ceiling has a fan and looks like the top of a pool table.

At first glance, the room is a bit bigger than the nursery with a red racecar bed in one corner of the room. The bed had frog bedsheets and pillows but the main blanket is the one Mirabel made him.

Across from that is a frog toy chest.

There's an area where he can play and another where he can practice his fencing, and in another corner of the room near his very business-like desk (except for the frog rolling chair) is a large enclosure for his frog.

He has a closet. What people don't know is that through that closet there is a door that leads to his own mini casino-arcade- play bar where he plays his favorite songs and gets to eat his favorite foods. This area has a bottomless mini-fridge and lots of pool tables.

But back in his main room, he has a couple of drawings of his dream Amusement Park on the wall along with a couple of band posters and a picture of him playing pool.

He has a magazine rack in his room and a appearing and disappearing tv that appears and disappears depending on his mood/attention span. He hasn't noticed this. It drives Dayana and Avila insane.

Alma passed down Pedro's gold watch to him on his eighth birthday after he did something that reminded her painfully of Pedro. Pedro’s ghost very much approved.

On his (black and gold) nightstand he has a purple vase filled with red roses.

When José is overwhelmed or upset the casino in his room will become unavailable to him and the frogs on his blanket will flee, and not return until he is comforted.

The days Amelia, Sofia, Carlos, Hugo, and José are all in the mood for getting into some mischief are all nightmares because the five of them are surprisingly vindictive when mad and working together and when they’re just in the mood for a good prank.

Camilo once unironically said ‘I know my kids, they wouldn’t do that’ and immediately all of his kids side-eyed each other because their father was 100% in denial and it doesn’t look good on him.

Once José gave Camilo a heart attack when he was three simply by virtue of being in another room and asking Carlos (eight) “is this really a good idea, buba?" to which Carlos replied “Trust me”. Camilo has never moved from one room to another so fast in his life.

Camilo often complains that he got most of his (non existent) grey hairs from Dolores and Mariano’s kids and that the rest are from his kids—José especially. If he were able to have permanent grey hairs this would be true.

José once kicked Camilo in the face when he needed to get a shot because he was three and already terrified of needles.

He is the king of making people he doesn't like uncomfortable enough to leave him alone. It comes in handy when someone is bothering his siblings or cousins.

What if they are a descendant of Aragorn and was born in the modern age of Middle Earth.

What if one of their parents originally came from Twisted Wonderland and got magically portalled to Middle-Earth and married a descendant of Aragorn.

Then when Yuu was born, another war took over Middle Earth, taking their parents' lives. Yuu is then hunted by the enemy but was hidden by their relatives until they were 16, then Gandalf comes to tell them of Yuu's otherworldly lineage and accompanies them to the portals where their parent came from.

And that's how Yuu ends up in Twisted Wonderland.

Who's the first AK that Mina befriends and why? Which AK is the last for Mina to warm up to, and why? And which AKs will she never be friends with?

The first is Chelsea. Mina is mildly impressed that she volunteered to room with a VK, after getting a wary reception from some other AKs. Chelsea confesses that she didn't get on with her previous roommate, so it didn’t seem like that a hard of a decision, and they talk about being disabled and bullied and left behind and arbitrary AK social norms and hey, Chelsea’s funny, and actually gets Mina’s sharp sense of humour, and with healthy plants and wildlife being so alien to her Mina is more than happy to hear all her swamp facts and holy shit, she can do magic, that’s badass and -

oh. They’re friends. Wow. It happens a lot more naturally than either of them anticipated. They’re very sweet together. I love them. They have sleepovers at each other’s houses in the school holidays, because even by the first one they’re so used to and comfortable sharing a bedroom. Chelsea loves playing with the Foxworth pets. She visits the shelter and helps Mina sometimes, and Mina visits New Orleans and the swamp to watch Chelsea learn magic.

I think she'd get along pretty well with most canon AKs. They’re all generally good people, except Chad and to an extent, mostly formerly Audrey. Chad’s always come across as worse to Audrey than me, so his character growth would be slower and more begrudging and he plays a minor antagonist to Mina and other VKs; he’s too afraid of his parents, Ben and Mal making him face more serious consequences for his actions than the discipline he’s already got to try anything really bad, though. He is fundamentally a coward whose bark is much worse than his bite. And everyone can see that. He’s too pathetic, unintelligent and uncreative to be an effective bully. A minority of other AKs who share his malice aren’t, however, and not all of them change their ways. There are many AKs that Mina just never clicks with or warms up to because that’s how people work, with no such malice or judgment necessary.

It takes her and Terry surprisingly long to become proper friends. That’s why even after the time skip, I haven’t described them as friends in their bios. The reason is that I specifically created him to be Mina’s foil. Their personalities and roles are as different as can be, and she has trust issues and he’s bad at compromise, among other traits and attitudes that, by design, rub each other the wrong way. They both regret how awkward this is for Chelsea and want to be friends. But they just don’t get each other. Resolving this impasse is the result of their character development, particularly Terry’s, who’s more invested in befriending Mina. It requires him to slow down, acknowledge his flaws, listen to and learn from someone else’s perspective and put effort into building something despite knowing that it won’t be perfect. Mina is isn’t perfect, and neither is he. Neither is their friendship. But it’s still good. Yeah. Still good.

The last AK Mina warms up to is Audrey. Audrey has spent the six months since the movie having a big arc of unlearning her prejudices and callous, competitive, selfish worldview, which has involved coming to be on good terms with Mal, glad and grateful that she makes her best friend happy, and quite a messy breakup with Chad due to her no longer respecting him being a dick or liking that he enables and encourages her being a bitch. He swings between being bitter and desperate for her to take him back. She’s just tired of him. By Cotillion, her family is fracturing too: Leah refuses to change her views on VK no matter how unpopular they get or how much the whole rest of her family disagrees with her, and Aurora finally demands that if she can’t be trusted to look after all her citizens, she has to abdicate the throne. Phillip backs her up. In Audrey’s mind, Leah is her beloved, doting grandmother who’s always been there for her (a little critical and controlling, maybe, but all in the name of helping Audrey be everything she needs to be, right? There’s totally no toxicity in that dynamic that she also needs to unpack now, right? Please?) But… though it breaks her heart, she agrees with her parents. Leah is not taking any of this well. So Audrey’s under a lot of stress at the moment. Mina observes this from the sidelines and realizes that Audrey is not a shallow prissy princess/popular girl stereotype, but a Person with Feelings. Feelings about relatable stuff like a family member being awful. Now that, a VK can’t help but sympathize with. They have their first really open and honest conversation after that when Mina steps in to offer the appreciated sentiment of ‘you’re not alone and you’ll get through this, keep going’ and the less appreciated promise to sic her dogs on her grandma if she wants. Then Audrey ends up turning to the Core Four and Uma’s crew for empathy and experienced help processing and healing from Leah’s years of emotional abuse and thus forges a much stronger bond with all of them. Leah is forced to give up the throne, don’t worry.

It actually takes Mina longer to officially forgive Mal than to enter Audrey’s good books. She really does hold a grudge!

Some more Wish 2 Concepts!

Really love the idea of Asha’s magic being able to manifest with more control once she starts channeling her art skills into it. Like she struggles before, but once she starts drawing (pun intended) on her natural she starts bringing all sorts of amazing things to life to help aid her. A living representative of the magic of animators.

For Star I would bring back the shapeshifter idea for him while they’re in the Land of Dreams, he can take the form of different dreams he interacts with, as Wishes and Dreams are so connected.

And of course I had to do a little doodle of the moment Magnifico and Maroula first both realize the other is here in the Dreamlands, and that they’re on opposite sides of the conflict.

Magnifico in his quest for vengeance has unknowingly aligned himself with his estranged daughter’s greatest enemy, and Maroula’s first site of her father after almost 100 years is seeing him ruthlessly attack her new friends—and aiding the dream eating Lamia.

It’s not a happy reunion by any means
