I think this is just a trend everywhere but I've been very frustrated this week by how much admin work is being outsourced to me as the patient/customer.

My orthodontist tells me I can make an appointment with the surgeon. I call the surgeon. They tell me I need a new referral. I call the orthodontist. They do a referral. I call the surgeon. Referral didn't come through. They tell me about their special unique system we have to use. I call the ortho again and walk them through the referral. I call the surgeon. They say the referral was missing some details so they have to do it again. I call the ortho.

The insurance company calls me about repair shops. I give them the name of the repair shop which I already gave them yesterday. They say they're not in their system but I can use them, but I have to call the repair shop to ask them to contact the insurance company. I call the repair shop and they say the insurance company is supposed to email them.

I feel like at a certain point these constant fetch quests become unreasonable?? Is it too much to expect these groups to communicate with each other instead of making me run back and forth between them???

Más de 4,000 colegios en Puno inician clases sin mantenimiento adecuado

Más de 4,000 instituciones educativas en Puno comenzarán el año escolar este 17 de febrero, a pesar de que la mayoría no cuenta con el mantenimiento necesario. Solo dos escuelas en el distrito de San Juan del Oro, provincia de Sandia, retrasarán su inicio debido a las condiciones climáticas adversas. Edson Amat Apaza, director regional de Educación, confirmó que el presupuesto de 23,700 soles ya está asignado, pero su ejecución se ha demorado.

Amat Apaza explicó que, aunque no hay reportes graves, la infraestructura escolar no está en condiciones óptimas. El funcionario indicó que se han convocado reuniones de emergencia con los directores para acelerar los procesos de mantenimiento. Sin embargo, destacó que muchos directores no han reportado a tiempo las necesidades de sus instituciones, lo que ha complicado la gestión de mejoras.

El presupuesto para mantenimiento aún no se ha ejecutado, a pesar de que las Unidades de Gestión Educativa Local (UGEL) ya informaron sobre las urgencias. Amat Apaza señaló que se ha llamado la atención a los directores de las UGEL para agilizar los trámites, pero el proceso se ha retrasado debido a la falta de coordinación y la reciente ratificación de cargos directivos.

El plazo para el mantenimiento, que inicialmente debía concluir antes del inicio de clases, se extendió hasta el 30 de marzo para evitar afectar el calendario escolar. Amat Apaza recordó que el año pasado también se realizaron mantenimientos tardíos sin mayores inconvenientes, aunque reconoció que la región enfrenta un desafío logístico para garantizar locales en buen estado.

De los 4,000 locales escolares en Puno, solo 205 han cerrado la brecha de infraestructura. El director regional insistió en que todos los locales requieren mantenimiento urgente. Las provincias más afectadas aún no han sido especificadas, pero se espera que las comisiones locales presenten sus requerimientos en los próximos días.

Amat Apaza confía en que el inicio del año escolar no se verá afectado por estos retrasos. “No creo que esto perjudique a los estudiantes”, afirmó, asegurando que se están tomando todas las medidas necesarias para garantizar un año académico sin contratiempos. Las autoridades educativas continúan trabajando para resolver las deficiencias antes de que impacten en el proceso de aprendizaje.
