Cursed thought but I've been Surviving College for a while now and was like,,, what if a yandere took their darling just as they were about to complete their major. Just,, yoinked. I would be so mad, at least let me get the degree I paid for, damnit

honestly, there's just something about a prolonged financial investment that really gives you a new reverence for your own life. if i have to cough up tuition every few months for, like, six consecutive years, no one's going to so much as touch me until i graduate at least. maybe work a few years in the industry of choice too. we'll see what happens after that.

I've lived here for six months now and finally got around to mounting my whiteboard.

Will hopefully get around to paintings and posters later this week! And other cleaning things.

#i would love love love to own a chalk board but 1) my apartment is mostly carpet 2) my eyes get itchy easily and 3) i hate vacuuming #so not really an option #technically could overcome 1 and put it in the entrance hallway which has vinyl but thats not really a convenient place #classes start next week so gotta get things done!#i finally got around to framing my masters degree (which i got in 2022) but i dont really care to hang it up tbh #it might just go back into storage but now *framed* I decided an overly fancy frame was the only thing that looked right #otherwise it looked like i was taking it too seriously... i dont think the diploma actually looks very nice lol

I keep thinking about this sm arghggh…. Do you think househusband aki would perhaps want to continue college after marriage, since he has plenty of free time and no hectic devil killing job. It’s a perfect opportunity to continue something he may be passionate about with reader encouraging him to do it and even helping him with his assignments, projects and stuff 💖

I imagined aki went to highschool because of the comment he makes about school towards denji, but perhaps he never went to college because he was too busy with devil hunting. but once the two of you are married and he's quit that job, I'm sure he'd be thinking about it... maybe he'd want to go to college for culinary arts, since he's always been interested in food and cooking.

aw and helping him with his assignments and such... I'm imagining aki cooking different plates of food for you and asking you which one you like the best haha

Framing is saurrrrr expensive. I just got one of those little cross stitch paintings framed for my gmas birthday, and it was like 100 dollars for that smal little thing. I think it was worth it cause I wanted that gallery look, but ugh. Brutal.

#especially cause I got my law school diploma and law license framed and I feel like they honestly weren’t much more than consume despite #being four times the size #but that was four years or so ago #and I chose a cheap ish frame this time #I was between two and if I’d chosen the one I really wanted it would’ve been almost 200 dollars #sorry gma but in this economy you’re getting the less favored frame

american comics are wild, man.

#𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐲.「 out of character. 」#hope you're ready for me to ramble in tags because OOOH BOY. i'm waving at my comics academy diploma.#of course let me start by saying that i don't mean it for every single american comic. i'm not here to generalize and lemme tell ya #some italian comics sometimes tend to do the same of what i'm about to ramble about. staring at some dylan dog comics i have.#but sadly it's also a thing that happens a lot in mainstream american comics (meaning marvel and dc) and that i even studied #and it's called ✨BODY PROPORTIONS✨ and how they are absolutely butchered to make a cool panel or just. ignored because BUFF 'EM #i'm specifically talking about a deadpool comic at the moment because that's what i was reading #and i swear that deadpool's proportions kept changing panel to panel. not to mention his body was 'perfected'? like #yes he keeps regenerating but he's supposed to have a body consumed by cancer. why does he look like hulk then.#and it's not only marvel doing this - once again i'm staring at dc and at my biggest problem with constantine's comics #which is that they have hinted (actually more than that) to his eating disorders - not to mention alcoholism and general lack of self care #and he's also a sorcerer and supposedly the anti-hero which is not super muscolar and has no incredible physical strength #yet how many freaking comics i've seen of him where he's just. SO buff. his body super perfect. WHY.#at the same time though so many people draw comics to put them out as fast as possible that i can see why they just *draw it*#and have no particular references for each other so when they're asking you to draw a thing fast you tend to draw what usually works #that's a whole other discourse that i even had experience of during academy. might make an actual post for that actually #because i've been thinking a LOT and throwing thoughts out might be interesting. BUT STILL. PROPORTIONS.#not to mention the choice of the frame to make panels look cool but you just *can't get what the bloody hell you're looking at*#three years i've spent in an academy learning what NOT to do when making comics and then i read these that do exactly all of the do not's
