It's to her surprise when bounty hunters from Liyue are tracking her grandfather down to pay his contract in full. The bounty hunters planned to use Amber as collateral however, Kaeya places a stop to that.

He was the last of the Eclipse Dynasty from a time forgotten and erased. He had made a new home in Mondstadt and created a new image of him. He thought he had forsaken his Khaenri'ahn Eclipse identity, to be someone of earthy, worldly Teyvet. However, he found the Sun and the Moon in her, someone to be both his solar and lunar eclipse.

It is only a shame that she doesn't believe him when he says they're both prisoners in the Abyss.

Muse A has been missing for months much to the KOF's dismay. Jean has spent countless hours of mapping possibilities while the Traveller has spent much if their own time trying to locate Muse A. Mondstadt truly misses the amicable presence of Muse A while Muse B, feels haunted without their colleague beside them. Feeling of regret, sorrow, and longing. Even their own search parties have came fruitless and not even the bard can be found.

So, Muse B is alarmed, almost delighted, thrilled — when traveller rushes in Jean's office explaining Muse A has been found. Just … not the same as the Muse A they've been accustomed to. After all, they were found in one of the Dottore's hideouts.

GamerKBL!AU

Kaeya = Family Friendly Gamer

Kaeya loves to play relaxing games that are mostly aimless yet fulfilling to him. He loves games like Sims, Animal Crossing, Mario, Sonic Mania, Fashion Forward, and so forth. He's not much a competitive player but looks for what is the most fun for him to play. He particularly loves customization games.

He loves to play with his kid family and is absolute about having appropriate language. He'll make light references an older audience would understand but nothing too scandalous.

Amber = Clumsy Competitor

She loves trying new games and definitely has her favorites. Amber has a broad spectrum of what games she's willing to play but notes her favorites to be those with open world and exploration. Despite her fondness of games, she's super competitive when such aspects are involved. She doesn't consider game mechanics at the point and opts in how to best maneuver herself to be a challenge.

Like Kaeya, she tries her best to be family friends and instead, has created family-friendly curse words such as: "You Cold Confetti", "Haberdasher", "Sliced Sticks", and "Bunnit".

Diluc = Silent Apex Predator

Diluc enjoys playing adventure, horror, and/or fantasy games in which he can get his heart pumping for a thrill. He loves games that contain lore or some sort of character story. He plays with a straight face but can occasionally be startled or breathless when he finds the game play to be intense. He's not too enthralled for competition or co-play but he'll do so for friends.

He doesn't personally speak much in his game plays, simply reading what is on screen and describing what is happening for those who need it.

KBL originally starting as KLK, with Diluc being the one who started his gaming identity online. Kaeya would often watch Diluc play and would occasionally, ask to try the games. Though an odd experience, Kaeya doesn't get attach to the all games the same way Diluc does. The coy man enjoying the characters and story but not so much missions and quests.

Eventually Diluc gifts Kaeya a causal-paced game as a surprise and they upload Kaeya's first game play on Diluc's channel. It does super well and after a few more uploads, Diluc helps Kaeya create his own channel, noting the stark difference of the userbase that watches Kaeya's games.

L: You're surprisingly kid-friendly.

K: Why is that so surprising?

L: …Nevermind.

Over time, Kaeya continues to enjoy his casual games as does Diluc, and their channels continue to flourish. It's during this time that Kaeya brings his work friend Amber to join him on his games. He learned that she also enjoys video games and has a flexible interest between game genres. The dynamic between Amber and Kaeya gameplays brings out a humorous side for his channel. Amber's impulsiveness in games often displays unique fails and endings compared to Kaeya's decisive strategies.

K: Interesting. You're out of bounds.

A: I got cornered by the enemies and kept button smashing.

L: There is a whole community that would love you.

Eventually, Amber's presence becomes a staple for Kaeya & Diluc and her them. It slowly dawns on them that Kaeya & Diluc enjoy having game dates with Amber, for them to ask if she would be comfortable being a polycule with them. She agrees because I'm KBL trash. (•ᵕᴗᵕ•)

(✪ω✪) I will sum up how I view them as foils to explain the Reverse AU: (Imma call Amber's Grandfather as Gramps for short)

Foil Connection

Both Crepus and Gramps have an influence and legacy with the KOF.

Despite that KOF influence/legacy — the KOF were quick to silence the true attack death of Crepus OR openly insult Gramps' name and background in his quitting/disappearance.

Both Diluc and Amber have a negative impact from their paternal figure being snubbed by the KOF. Amber is a secret witness to Diluc's meeting with Eroch.

Diluc chose to leave the KOF in honor of/being closer to his father. Amber joins the KOF to be closer to/honor Gramps.

Diluc and Amber are currently honoring their paternal figure's legacy and looking for answers about their parental figure's life. Both are Pyro users.

Diluc endures a personality change, Amber has no change. However, both take on new beliefs on their view of what is right, wrong, lawful, or lawless.

So the Reverse!Dilamber AU works off their foil traits and their relationships with their paternal figure and KOF.

An alternate universe where Amber experiences Canon Diluc's hardships with the KOF and Diluc experiencing Canon Amber's hardships with the KOF.

🤔 Not sure if that made sense but like

Diluc accepts the gag order BUT stays with the KOF to find how to prove/honor/bring justice and closure to his father's life and death. Yet Diluc still has those 3-4 years out of Mondstadt because Eroch is purposefully keeping Diluc out of his way.

HOWEVER, since Amber still overhears Eroch's gag order on Diluc — (and would take offense and a grudge for the KOF disrespecting her grandfather) — she's the one who becomes a Rouge Outrider unaffiliated with the KOF.

Amber disagrees with Diluc's choice to remain in the KOF but she is the one who reveals that Eroch is a traitor for she knows how to hide and find evidence uwu.
