✨Review✨ We were Liars by E. Lockhart ⭐️⭐️ . . . It got it’s point across and had it’s moments where it made feel entertained. I will give it an extra star because I think I would have liked it more in a previous time of my life, definitely its a book written for teenagers but not very appealing to other demographics. I felt like the story was too easy, I just hated all of the characters and I could not feel a connection to the plot. . Idk if this is a spoiler but.. warning! There might me spoilers ahead. . There are moments where the protagonist intercepts short passages where she describes her family situation by writing a sort of fairy tale, but it was only redundant and (to me) quite boring. I suppose it was meant to be a metaphor but it was too obvious and repetitive. Overall, not my fave, as you can probably see 😅 but I didn’t hate reading it, I was just very unsurprised and untouched by the story. . The Internet Archive has ended its legal battle over offering free e-books online, choosing not to appeal a U.S. Court of Appeals ruling against it. The court upheld a prior decision that found the Archive violated copyright law, granting a permanent injunction.

The case began in 2020 when major publishers, including Penguin Random House and HarperCollins, sued the Archive for distributing over 100 books without authorization. The Archive claimed its "controlled digital lending" program was fair use, but courts disagreed.

Publishers celebrated the ruling, while the Archive expressed disappointment but agreed to comply with removing books at publishers' requests.

If we revisit Dale’s teachings, we can see that more active teaching and learning strategies, such as Learning by Doing, give students the ability to grasp the relevance of the material while processing it in a very different and more efficient manner.
