After Hunter moved to Ireland in fall of 2023, I finally made it up north to visit him. It was a quick, four-day weekend trip but the perfect amount of time to spend with a friend I wish I could see more often.

Since the plan was to just see a friend and not see the sights, we prioritized leisurely walks by the seaside and lots and lots of coffee breaks. We spent the mornings brunching together before heading out to walk about town and see the sights. Hunter showed me his school building where he learned anatomy, we visited all the restaurants and cafes where usually he calls me on the phone from. And in the afternoon, we'd snuggle up on the sofa and read together.

On the first full day, we tried to go to Howth, but soon found that the train was closed for construction. (A lady *so kindly* told us that *everyone* knew that the train was closed that weekend...) but instead we made our way to Bray--a beach town on the other side of the city. In Bray, we ate indian food and walked together along the coast (we even saw seals!) before heading back home.

The next day, we wandered the city streets before going to a pop up Nigerian food restaurant for dinner with some of Hunter's school friends. Though an uneventful weekend, I left Dublin feeling refreshed and invigorated--and looking forward to the next time I would see my dear friend.
