Wake up everyone, Mikemon Card just dropped!

Mikemon is a subspecies of Tailmon/Gatomon. The Reference Book says the data of Nyaromon slept within it through its Child/Rookie stage, only to resurface in its Adult/Champion form.

Mikemon's name is derived from the Japanese word 三毛猫 mikeneko, meaning three colored cat (calico).

It's the Data Type to Gatomon's Vaccine and BlackGatomon's Virus.

While Mikemon had its debut in 2002(!) it had not been getting much attention since then. Its first appearance was in the D-Scanner toy from 2002, also received a Card in Hyper Coloseum the same year, then in the D-Spirit only released in Asia (with the exception of Japan) in 2003, and the DigiWindow, which I believe was released in August of 2006 or 2007 based on this page:

It was also included in Digimon Masters (2009) but that also didn't see an actual release overseas. Mikemon finally had it's Anime Debut in Xros Wars in 2011, 2015 for the Dub.

But this is actually not the first time Mikemon can be seen in the new Card Game! The BT3 Gatomon Artwork features Mikemon in the upper left corner!

Needless to say, I'm very happy about Mikemon getting some well deserved love and attention! Can't wait to see what it's designated Line in this set will be. (Bastemon is usually its designated Ultimate/Perfect)
