Clash with the Demon Bird

And here we have another Chosen of the Morning Star AU piece! This time its Priest!Akira's clash with Sirene! Sirene wanting to avenge her lover Amon after he was taken over by Akira, and it angers her more that a priest had won over a demon, since to Sirene a worshiper of the demon's oppressor winning over Amon is a grave disgrace and she sees killing Akira as a way to bring honor back to Amon's memory!

Sirene has Akira in her grasp now but he is still transforming and is ready to fight back! The Demon Bird arc goes a little differently in the Chosen of the Morning Star AU since Akira doesn't live with the Makimuras anymore and lives with his fellow priests and the attack by Awgel and Ghelmer happens to Miki alone instead to distract her from helping Akira while Sirene goes after Akira!

The fight between Akira and Sirene is quite different since Priest! Akira is older and wiser and doesn't fight as recklessly as manga and OVA Akira does and tries his best to avoid casualties as much as possible and unfortunately Sirene takes advantage of that! But that doesn't Akira is a push over either...

and I do think the next picture will be about this fight goes when Akira transforms fully into Devilman so stay tuned! :3

This was really fun to make but also a little tricky due to the angle of the poses here, I also wanted to highlight how freaking tall Sirene is compared to human form Akira, you can see it more clearly in this height chart

As you can see, she's quite the big mama compared to Priest Akira XDD And the lighting is more colourful since this is taking place in a church with stained glass and I hope the effect comes off well here.

my most cursed trait is that i like to tag by decade and by devilman property (so manga vs ova vs crybaby etc) but because the first and second ova came out in separate decades (80s and 90s respectively) i have to decide if i think the vibe of the fanart is more the birth or more the demon bird even if it’s literally just a standing character
