I've been working on my personal fakemon region on and off and wanted to show off this line that I just finished! Gnourly and Trollicious are based off of gnomes, trolls, icing, and various kinds of cake. Gnourly evolves into Trollicious depending on its icing color. These guys were super fun to design and I'm very happy with their concept!

As previously mentioned, Devil's Food Cake works at Noisette's café, very much being the main guy for baking that happens at the place.

After the tower collapse (and Noisette finding a new building for her café) Devil's Food Cake and all his co-workers join her to continue to support her, as she is a genuinely great boss to work under.

Not much time passes for her crew to meet Peppino, Gustavo, Brick and Fake Peppino as Noisette introduces them as "new friends". Though… Devil's Food Cake has met Fake Peppino before, as the clone likes to stalk the backstreets of the neighbourhood during the night.

There is no screaming happening during their first meeting, though DFC does inicially go into a defensive stance, ready to throw hands as he is still the part-time bouncer of the café.

In the end though, Fake Peppino (now nicknamed "Peppy" by DFC) is welcome to join the man when he's working through the occasional night to finish a big last minute order, mostly just watching the cake being work but is also allowed to lick a bowl or two clean once DFC is cleaning up the kitchen.

I did some pre-Christmas baking last night – my first attempt at Goddess Nigella Lawson’s Devil’s Food Cake! Of course, she NEVER steers you wrong! Highly recommended. Full disclosure - I cheated and used store-bought icing out of a tub this time! Recipe here.

What if there was a certain café where all the employees are the place's signature treats? 🍰💕✨

First there's Angel Food Cake - the cashier, server & the person who runs the café's very ✨aesthetic✨ Instagram account. They are very mean, quick to drop their overly cutesy & sweet customer act if you piss him off & is so here for the gossip (especially when its about establishments in the neighbourhood). In general, think classic Sailor Moon villain, including Oohohohoho laugh. She will strangle you if telling him your order takes longer than a minute.

And just like any of their cake-based co-workers they can spawn little cakepop helpers from their own body. In his case they are cherubs. And then there's Devil's Food Cake: baker, bouncer & the guy who does the heavy lifting around the place. Very much immovable-object kind of guy. Gets genuinely exited when he has to act out his bouncer duties and will brawl a guy - knowing full well that he'll get paid extra by his boss bc this counts as customer entertainment. Will experiment with savoury/spicy ingredients in sweet dishes, like making cherry-chili-chocolate. It... doesn't always taste good but it won't stop him from trying!

His cakepops are imps. Which will swarm unwelcome customers & occasionally also go for the ankle.
