The Four Dimensions of God's Love: How God Loves You Completely
Paul spent more than two years in Ephesus, so it stands to reason that he knew people there pretty well. He preached and taught in that crossroads city so effectively that Luke says “all of the Jews and Greeks who lived in the Province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.” (Acts 19:10) When he wrote to them in Ephesians, Paul mentions the four dimensions of God’s love as if everyone knew about…

Fireside: You Only Reap Once
“When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and has forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: … When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again:… When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward:… “ Deuteronomy 24:19a, 20a, & 21a The Old Testament law prevented a farmer from being too thorough when he…

Chronicling the Cats Broadway Revival Lifts
Hey, you know how we joke that you could make a drinking game out of all the lifts that they do in the Broadway Revival? Don’t do it. You will die of alcohol poisoning before the Jellicle Ball.
4:54 Electra, Victoria and Tantomile are all lifted during the "Heaviside Layer" line of Jellicle Songs for Jellicles Cats (3)
9:20 Electra and Tantomile during Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats. (2)
9:28 Not a lift, but Tanto, Victoria and Electra are swung forward across the floor. Doesn’t count but I’m marking vaguely lifting actions.
14:41 Sillabub is lifted in the background at the start of Invitation. There might be more cats being lifted but my bootleg is mostly focused on the main cats for each number. (1)
14:50 Not even a full 10 seconds later, Sillabub and another cat (I think it’s Tantomile) are lifted again. (2)
18:45 Coricopat and Skimbleshanks lift Jenny so that a ball can go under her (1)
19:39 Bomba and Demeter grab Jenny and slide her across the large sports balls. (Side note: I really fucking hate the balls. Why are they in this number???)
23:28 Tumble and Plato lift Victoria and Tugger walks under her. (1)
22:36 Rumpleteazer, Demeter and Victoria are all lifted (3)
23:40 Victoria and Tanto are flung forward and then flung back.
24:05 Electra, Tantomile, Victoria and Rumpleteazer are held on at their armpits as they drop so that they would be flat on their faces if their partners weren’t holding them, followed by said partners lifting them off the ground and spinning them. I’m counting it. (4)
24:32 Tantomile and Victoria are spun on the ground and then lifted by cats right after. (2)
26:08 Sillabub, Victoria and Electra are mid cartwheel when their partners (Mungojerrie, Plato and Pouncival (?)) grab them and slow them down. Tantomile is then lifted by Coricopat. (1)
All lift adjacent behaviors are forgiven for Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer. What’s not forgiven is how literal the choreography is.
39:25 We went almost a full fifteen minutes. Coricopat lifts Tantomile when they first sense Old Deuteronomy. (1)
39:34 Once again, Tanto is lifted by Cori. (1)
40:14 Tanto climbs on Cori’s back and Victoria climbs on Plato’s and they are lifted. (2)
43:15 Victoria is lifted by Alonzo, Tanto is lifted by Cori (?). (2)
45:07 Mungojerrie lifts Rumpleteazer onto the stage, same for Cori and Tanto. They then lift them both again to go behind Old Deuteronomy. Followed by another lift after those. (6)
45:22 Munkustrap carries Victoria out to the front of the stage, then hand her to Plato, who lifts her, alongside Sillabub being lifted by Tumble (3)
46:23 Tumble lifts Sillabub (1)
46:40 Victoria, Electra and Tanto are all lifted by multiple cats. (3)
47:06 Several cats are supported during their arabesques
48:20 Teazer, Tanto, Sillabub and Victoria are all lifted, followed by Victoria being lifted a second time (5)
49:40 Electra, Demeter, Victoria, Tanto and Teazer are all lifted pretty much upside down (5)
50:18 Plato picks up Victoria for a little run lift thing, followed by carrying her as she does a cartwheel. (2)
50:29 Tanto, Teazer, Sillabub, Bombalurina (her first lift) and Victoria are lifted. Everyone but Vicky gets lifted a second time. (9)
51:33 Vicky gets lifted twice for the Pas de Deux (2)
52:58 Tanto is lifted (1)
54:16 Sillabub and Electra are both lifted twice (4)
55:16 Tanto and Tori are lifted…twice in a row (4)
55:50 Tanto, Tori, Teazer and Sillabub (4)
56:09 Tori, Tanto, Sillabub (3)
56:23 You know, Victoria’s big lift would be really impressive if we didn’t just see 100 of them before it (1)
I’m surprised they didn’t work a lift into Memory
At intermission we have 79 lifts…I am loosing my goddamn mind. I am actively crying from how funny this is.
1:36:48 Victoria and Electra were flung forward
1:49:25 Victoria is lifted. I thought we were going to make it through the whole second act without one, but nope. (1)
We end with a total of 80 lifts.

The Lord Our God Is Holy
1 The Lord is King; let the peoples be in fear: his seat is on the winged ones; let the earth be moved. 2 The Lord is great in Zion; he is high over all the nations. 3 Let them give praise to your name, for it is great and to be feared; holy is he. 4 The king's power is used for righteousness; you give true decisions, judging rightly in the land of Jacob. 5 Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping at his feet; holy is he. 6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among those who gave honour to his name; they made prayers to the Lord, and he gave answers to them. 7 His voice came to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his witness, and the law which he gave them. 8 You gave them an answer, O Lord our God; you took away their sin, though you gave them punishment for their wrongdoing. 9 Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping with your faces turned to his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy. — Psalm 99 | Bible in Basic English (BBE) The Bible in Basic English is in the public domain Cross References: Exodus 13:21; Exodus 15:2; Exodus 15:25; Exodus 19:9; Exodus 24:6; Exodus 25:22; Leviticus 19:2; Exodus 32:28; Exodus 32:34; Deuteronomy 28:58; Psalm 11:7; Psalm 17:2; Psalm 22:3; Psalm 34:3; Psalm 48:1; Psalm 95:6; Psalm 97:9; Psalm 100:1; Revelation 19:6

Holy, loving, faithful, gracious, compassionate, merciful, longsuffering God, is righteous, just and true, and so are all His judgments, in all the earth.
Thus says the Lord God: "I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell."
"And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it." (Ezekiel 17:22-24)
"Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested." (Revelation 15:3-4)

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 26:2 (KJV): 2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. Proverbs 26:2 (AMP): 2 Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, so the causeless curse does not alight.
Thought for the Day
This verse tells us that the curses that come to someone's life are not by accident; there is a reason behind them. What is a curse? Today, we think of "cursing" as using foul language, profanity, or perhaps, even blasphemous words against God. Our definition usually is synonymous with "swearing." This is a form of cursing, but it is only a small portion of what "curses" mean in the Bible. Cursing in the Bible is not only speaking evil of someone, but evil coming upon someone. If a person is under a curse, according to the Bible, evil has come upon them in some way. Sickness, tragedy, or bad circumstances are occurring in their lives.
There is a reason behind every evil that comes against us, just as there is a reason that birds migrate south in winter and north in the summer. It has long been a mystery as to why the swallows return to certain places each year, like the migration of the swallows to San Juan Capistrano, California. The incredible flight of the swallows happens every spring around the 19th of March to the old Spanish mission located there. Most scientists cannot explain the migration of birds other than to say that it is just a fulfillment of some inner biological destiny. The Bible tells us that God is the one who created the birds and has made them like they are. Therefore, it is God who set up the spiritual laws of cause and effect. When we break them, we reap what we sow. Curses come because of broken spiritual laws. We may not be aware of why some curse or evil has come upon us, but there is a reason. As we seek God for the answer, He will give us the revelation as to not only why, but also the remedy for it.
In today's culture, some Christians have curses operating against them. That is because various occult practices are openly practiced in our societies. Christians need to be freed from curses spoken against them before they were saved, or from curses that have come upon them through involvement in idolatry and witchcraft (Deuteronomy 29:24-28).
Curses can work against Christians if they are in rebellion, out of the will of God, or not walking in faith and love. However, if we are walking where God wants us to walk, a hundred curses against us would just bounce off and would do us no harm. If we have been affected by a curse, the good news is that by accepting Jesus, we can be free from demonic oppression and actually have authority over the devil and his curses, instead of his spirits having power over us and our family. "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19).
The story of Balaam and Israel gives us a good example of this principle (Numbers 22). Although Balaam was not an Israelite, he was a prophet of God. The kings of Moab and Midian wanted him to curse the Israelites during the journey from Egypt to Canaan. Elders of those nations offered him what apparently was a lot of money, and he tried to do what their king wanted, but he could not curse them. He tried three times but was unable to do anything, but bless Israel. "How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?" (Numbers 23:8).
Before we are born again, we walk under the law of sin and death; but, after we are regenerated, we are under the law of life in Christ Jesus, who took the curse for us. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2). "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith" (Galatians 3:13-14).
How wonderful is our inheritance as Christians! We do not get the evil that should be ours. We all deserve hell, but when we come to Jesus, we get Heaven. We are not under the curse of sickness and death any longer. We now have power over sin through Jesus. The way to break a curse is to repent for whatever involvement has occurred on the enemy's territory and rebuke him from our life.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, I ask You first to forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from any area where I have allowed the devil to enter my life. I renounce any involvement with the works of darkness. In the name of Jesus, I now cancel every curse, and Father, I ask You to forgive the people who have spoken them against me. I thank you that those curses will no longer operate against me. In Jesus' name, they are broken right now, by the power of Almighty God. I cancel every evil that was spoken against me and ask You to cover me and my family with Your protection according to Your Word in Psalm 91. I ask this is the name of Jesus. Amen.

Spells in the Bible are always described negatively. Deuteronomy 18:10–11 numbers those who cast spells with those who commit other acts detestable to the Lord such as child sacrifice, witchcraft, sorcery, divination, or necromancy (consulting with the dead). Micah 5:12 says that God will destroy witchcraft and those who cast spells. Revelation 18 describes spells as part of the deception that will be used by the Antichrist and his “great city of Babylon” (verses 21–24). Though the end-times deception will be so great that even the elect would be deceived if God did not protect them (Matthew 24:24), God will utterly destroy Satan, the Antichrist, and all who follow them (Revelation 19—20).
Cursing those whom God has blessed is dangerous business. Balaam tried to curse God’s people, Israel, and found that he could not (Numbers 22—24). Wisdom warns that “whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them” (Proverbs 26:27). David prayed for help against his enemy who had cursed him: “He loved to pronounce a curse—may it come back on him. . . . He wore cursing as his garment; . . . May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him” (Psalm 109:17–19). The Christian cannot be cursed. God’s blessing is more powerful than any curse.
The Christian has been born again as a new person in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). As believers, we are in the constant presence of the Holy Spirit who lives within us and under whose protection we dwell (Romans 8:11). We do not need to worry about anyone casting any sort of pagan spell on us. Voodoo, witchcraft, hexes, and curses have no power over us because they come from Satan, and Satan is no match for the Lord. We know that “the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
God has won the victory, and in Christ we are overcomers. “Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). The shield God gives us “can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one” (Ephesians 6:16). We are free to worship God without fear (John 8:36). “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

Saint John Eudes, Priest.
Monday, Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: Green. Year: B(II))
First Reading Ezekiel 24:15-24 The Lord will profane his sanctuary.
The word of the Lord was addressed to me as follows, ‘Son of man, I am about to deprive you suddenly of the delight of your eyes. But you are not to lament, not to weep, not to let your tears run down. Groan in silence, do not go into mourning for the dead, knot your turban round your head, put your sandals on your feet, do not cover your beard, do not eat common bread.’ I told this to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening, and the next morning I did as I had been ordered. The people then said to me, ‘Are you not going to explain what meaning these actions have for us?’ I replied, ‘The word of the Lord has been addressed to me as follows, “Say to the House of Israel: The Lord says this. I am about to profane my sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the delight of your eyes, the passion of your souls. Those of your sons and daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword. And you are to do as I have done; you must not cover your beards or eat common bread; you must keep your turbans on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you must not lament or weep. You shall waste away owing to your sins and groan among yourselves. Ezekiel is to be a sign for you. You are to do just as he has done. And when this happens, you will learn that I am the Lord.”’
Responsorial Psalm Deuteronomy 32:18-21
R/ You forget the God who fathered you.
You forget the Rock who begot you, unmindful now of the God who fathered you. The Lord has seen this, and in his anger cast off his sons and his daughters.
R/ You forget the God who fathered you.
‘I shall hide my face from them,’ he says ‘and see what becomes of them. For they are a deceitful brood, children with no loyalty in them.
R/ You forget the God who fathered you.
‘They have roused me to jealousy with what is no god, they have angered me with their beings of nothing; I, then, will rouse them to jealousy with what is no people, I will anger them with an empty-headed nation.’
R/ You forget the God who fathered you.
Gospel Acclamation Psalm 118:34
Alleluia, alleluia! Train me, Lord, to observe your law, to keep it with my heart. Alleluia!
Or: Matthew 5:3
Alleluia, alleluia! How happy are the poor in spirit: theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Alleluia!
Gospel Matthew 19:16-22 If you wish to be perfect, go and sell what you own
There was a man who came to Jesus and asked, ‘Master, what good deed must I do to possess eternal life?’ Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you ask me about what is good? There is one alone who is good. But if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.’ He said, ‘Which?’ ‘These:’ Jesus replied ‘You must not kill. You must not commit adultery. You must not bring false witness. Honour your father and mother, and: you must love your neighbour as yourself.’ The young man said to him, ‘I have kept all these. What more do I need to do?’ Jesus said, ‘If you wish to be perfect, go and sell what you own and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.’ But when the young man heard these words he went away sad, for he was a man of great wealth.
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

(Readings for the memorial)
(There is a choice today between the readings for the ferial day (Monday) and those for the memorial. The ferial readings are recommended unless pastoral reasons suggest otherwise)
First Reading Ephesians 3:14-19 May Christ live in your hearts through faith.
I pray, kneeling before the Father, from whom every family, whether spiritual or natural, takes its name: Out of his infinite glory, may he give you the power through his Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong, so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love, you will with all the saints have strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth; until, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of God.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 130(131)
R/ Keep my soul in peace before you, O Lord.
O Lord, my heart is not proud nor haughty my eyes. I have not gone after things too great nor marvels beyond me.
R/ Keep my soul in peace before you, O Lord.
Truly I have set my soul in silence and peace. A weaned child on its mother’s breast, even so is my soul.
R/ Keep my soul in peace before you, O Lord.
O Israel, hope in the Lord both now and forever.
R/ Keep my soul in peace before you, O Lord.
Gospel Acclamation Matthew 11:25
Alleluia, alleluia! Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for revealing the mysteries of the kingdom to mere children. Alleluia!
Gospel Matthew 11:25-30 You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children.
Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Hello! im the anon that wanted to ask about orthodoxy. i know this will likely be very difficult to answer, but are you able to tell me a bit about how saints play a role? if not, perhaps you could speak on your personal relationships with/thoughts on the saints? and please dont apologize, your offer of information was more than kind and im very grateful!
St. Nikolai Velimirovich said, "If a person wants to get an idea about the pyramids of Egypt, he must either trust those who have been in immediate proximity to the pyramids, or he must get next to them himself. There is no third option. In the same way a person can get an impression of God: he must either trust those who have stood and stand in immediate proximity to God, or he must take pains to come into such proximity himself."
I am a prodigal, an unworthy sinner, an ungrateful and wicked servant. I deserve not to look upon the face of God being such a terrible person that I am. If I dared to come near Him at the wedding feast, my clothing will accuse me for it is not a wedding garment. The saints are important because they are people who now stand beside the throne of God and they intercede for us.
1 Kingdoms 13:28 "Far be it from me to sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you; but I will serve the Lord and show you the good and right way."
Genesis 20:3-7 God tells Abimelech to ask Abraham to pray for him, otherwise he is a dead man for taking Sarah from him)
Exodus 8:4-6, 8:24-25, 9:28-29, 10:16-18, 32:31-32, Pharaoh asking Moses to pray for him and Moses praying for Pharaoh
Numbers 12:10-13, 14:11-19 Aaron begging Moses to pray for Miriam to be healed of her leprosy and Moses interceding for the Israelites before God
Deuteronomy 9:20, 9:25-26 Moses praying for Aaron and the Israelites
1 Kingdoms 7:8, 13:19 Samuel interceding for the Israelite to be victorious over the Philistines, Israelites asking Samuel to pray for them so the Lord is not angry that they asked a king for themselves
3 Kingdoms 13:6 King Jeroboam asks the man of God to pray for him to God to restore his hand that withered away and he prays and it's restored immediately
3 Kingdoms 17:20-23 Elijah prays over the widow's dead son's body and he is brought back to life
God is not the God of the dead but of the living, Christ said in the book of Matthew. The saints are not dead, they stand before the throne of God interceding for us.
Throughout the history of the church, there have been so many saints who lived venerable lives, sacrificing their lives in the name of Christ as brave martyrs (like St. Eleftherios who is celebrated today), saints who helped so many people in their afflictions (St. John the Merciful who gave away all he had to the poor), saints who performed many miracles (some recent ones are St. Nektarios who healed the sick, St. Porphyrios who was blind but prophesied so many things about the future, St. Paisios the Athonite, St. Joseph the Hesychast, etc.).
Here, in our current life, in this present day and hour, we in the Church who strive to love God are, in Orthodox theology, considered the Church Militant. We who love God are all soldiers of Christ and being alive on this earth and striving to do God's will, we are always battling against the forces of the enemy, the evil one. The saints who have struggled to love Christ and won the struggle, living until the end of their earthly lives as faithful Christians, they are considered to be the Church Triumphant. We are striving to be triumphant like them, triumphant against the passions, temptations, and addictions; against pride, selfishness, gluttony, immorality, and all sins.
One particular saint who has helped me a lot is St. Xenia of St. Petersburg. She was homeless, she was considered a fool-for-Christ. She sought not earthly glory and she hid her virtues so well. She was so poor, not because she did not have money, but because whatever money she had, she gave to others. She sacrificed her comforts so that God would comfort her. St. Paisios the Athonite said, "When we cease seeking consolation from man, then we will receive consolation from God." Such people who have achieved it are people like St. Xenia.
I had been struggling with finding a job for years and praying to have a home to call my own. I am not an educated person, I did not even graduate high school. I did not even have a house to go, I feared I would be homeless. St. Xenia helped me get a house. I prayed a few akathists to her and in the same month, I received a house as an unexpected gift from my in-laws. I have received a lot of help from other saints as well, St. Xenia is just one of the recent ones.
Anyway, this was a really long answer, hopefully it's not too boring and if it is, I'm sorry. lol.

Deuteronomy 6:1-7 (NLT). “These are the commands, decrees, and regulations that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you. You must obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy, and you and your children and grandchildren must fear the Lord your God as long as you live. If you obey all his decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life. Listen closely, Israel, and be careful to obey. Then all will go well with you, and you will have many children in the land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. “Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.”
“Pass Down Your Principles” By In Touch Ministries:
“The best gifts are eternal, and they impact generations.”
“What do you want to leave your loved ones? Maybe it’s money or family heirlooms, like a favorite necklace or beloved photo. But if you’ve trusted Christ as Savior, you have something far more valuable. Material things can be spent or lost, but your faith—what you believe about Jesus Christ—is precious and eternal.
Choosing to follow Jesus is a personal decision, one you can’t make for anyone else. But through your words and actions, you can lovingly point others to the heavenly Father. Over the next few days, we’re going to look at three ways you can share your faith.
The first way is to share what you yourself have learned and practiced. For example, you can tell others that ...
God will give us direction. His Word is “a lamp to [our] feet and a light to [our] path” (Psalm 119:105).
God will provide for our needs, drawing from His unending riches (Philippians 4:19).
God will enable and strengthen us, whatever we go through. He’s a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).
God owns everything, and we’re His trusted stewards.
What godly principles are you passing on to others? Is there anything you would add to the above list?”

The Three Angels' Messages Lesson 01: The Final Countdown
When you read through the book of Revelation, it is very easy to get caught up in the imagery of beasts and plagues. However, Revelation is ultimately about Jesus. Did you know that  Jesus has a special message for His people in the last days before the second coming?
This message is proclaimed in Revelation chapter 14 by three angels.  In short, they are Jesus’ final push to save people from ultimate destruction.  Today we are going to study the first angel’s message.
Revelation 14:6-7 - Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth–to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people–saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
What is so special about this message? How is it related to the Gospel?
Let’s read together Genesis 3:15; Deuteronomy 18:15; John 1:29; John 3:16; and Revelation 14:6
The key phrase in Revelation 14:6 is “the everlasting Gospel.”
The Gospel message is the same now as it was when Adam and Eve first received it.  The people of the Old Testament were looking forward to a coming Savior who will save them from their sins.  The people of the New Testament and throughout the centuries until today look forward to a Savior who died for our sins.
Jesus is that Savior, taking upon the sins of all of humanity when He died for our sins on the cross at Calvary two thousand years ago.
While the Gospel message never changes, people in a particular age may receive a specific mission or message. For this study, let’s refer to that specific mission or message as present truth.
For example, in the time of Noah, the present truth was to get in the ark.  The world was about to be destroyed.  The only way Jesus could save people was if they had the faith to get in the ark.  For the people in the time of John the Baptist, the present truth was to accept his message that the coming Messiah was upon them.  Did they have the faith to accept Jesus was  the Messiah as pointed out by John?  Today, the present truth is to heed the three angels’ messages.
Let’s read together Revelation 14:7.
The first angel has a global message, which has four parts:
 Fear God
Give Him glory
The hour of His judgment has come
 Worship Him
What does it mean to fear God? Let’s turn to Exodus 20:20; Deuteronomy 10:12; Proverbs 9:10; Jeremiah 32:40; and 1 John 4:18.
Many people, including Christians, believe that to fear God is to grovel before Him.  They should be afraid of Him and try to appease Him in order to avoid His wrath.
However, the fear of God actually has nothing to do with being afraid of Him.  To fear God, biblically speaking, is to give Him the reverence and respect He deserves.  When we fear God in this manner, we can also love Him.
For example, we love our parents, but we should also show the proper respect due to them.
Let’s read together Psalm 29:2 and Luke 19:37-40.
What is glory?  One of the Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s definitions of the word “glory” is “worshipful, praise, honor, and thanksgiving.”
Have you ever been to a sporting event, a concert, or even a movie with a large crowd who are really into the experience?  Everyone shouting for joy at a particular moment or overcome with a sense of awe from what they just experienced?  Even if you are someone who would never go to such events, have you ever experienced that sense of awe in the presence of God?
When we fear God, our lives will change.  We will begin to see how great and wonderful He truly is.  We will become in awe of Him.  If we are in awe of God, we cannot help but give Him glory.  We will gladly worship Him, praise Him, honor Him, and thank Him.
Let’s read together Daniel 2:33; 41-44; Malachi 3:5; Matthew 24:12-14; 1 Peter 4:17; 2 Peter 3:1-3; and Revelation 14:7.
Note that REvelation 14:7 says “the hour of judgment  has come, not will come.”  We know from Daniel chapter 2 and Matthew chapter 24 we are living in the end times.
There is an urgency to the first angel’s message.  To put it into perspective, if you are a student, finals week is here.  If you are into sports, the playoffs are here.  If you are in the medical field, the board inspector is here.
There is no time to procrastinate.  This is the final push to bring people to Jesus.
Let’s read together Genesis 24:48; Exodus 5:2; Nehemiah 9:3; Psalm 99:9; Matthew 14:33; and Revelation 7:11.
Why should we fear the Lord and give glory to Him?  Pharoah once asked Moses the same question once.  What kind of response will you get if you ask Christians, “why should you worship Jesus?”  They will usually say something like “we worship Jesus because He died for our sins at Calvary and redeemed us.”  It is a good answer, but not the entire answer.
Let’s read together Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 40:26; Isaiah 43:1; and Colossians 1:16.
Broadly speaking, humans are the only beings in the universe who do not acknowledge God as our Creator.  The angels in heaven acknowledge God as their Creator.  The unfallen beings in the rest of the universe acknowledge God as their Creator.  We limit God when we do not acknowledge Him as our Creator.
In summary, the first angel’s message is not a new message.  It is linked to the Gospel.  It reminds us we should not be afraid of God.  He is our Creator and He loves us.  God is much bigger than we think of Him.  Not only did He create us, He created the heavens and earth and everything within.  God holds all of creation together with His power.  He is calling us to come back to Him, to worship Him and give Him the respect He deserves.  If you come to know Him then you will surely be in awe of Him.  Your relationship with God will be more intimate and proud that any secular experience you could have.
Friend, if you love Jesus and are in awe of Him, will you share the first angel’s message with others?

DEUTERONOMY
This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the nations under the whole heaven who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble and be in anguish because of you. - 2:25
You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you. - 3:22
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. - 4:24
You have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew you. - 9:24
Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. - 10:19
Your eye shall not pity: life shall be for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. - 19:21
If two men fight together, and the wife of one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of the one attacking him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the genitals,  then you shall cut off her hand; your eye shall not pity her. - 25:11-12
All of Deuteronomy 28 is badass, but unfortunately it's so long that I don't want to bother quoting it here.
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. - 31:6
For a fire is kindled in My anger, And shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains. - 32:22
And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand. - 32:39
I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword shall devour flesh, With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the heads of the leaders of the enemy. - 32:42
And lastly, the part that actually made my eyes well just a mite...
Deuteronomy 33:13:
And of Joseph he said: “Blessed of the Lord is his land, With the precious things of heaven, with the dew, And the deep lying beneath, With the precious fruits of the sun, With the precious produce of the months, With the best things of the ancient mountains, With the precious things of the everlasting hills, With the precious things of the earth and its fullness, And the favor of Him who dwelt in the bush. Let the blessing come ‘on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.’ His glory is like a firstborn bull, And his horns like the horns of the wild ox; Together with them He shall push the peoples To the ends of the earth; They are the ten thousands of Ephraim, And they are the thousands of Manasseh.
