Deter Week 2025!

Deter Week will be returning in 2025!

Anticipated dates are March 10th - March 16th, 2025. Here's a quick rundown for anyone who may be new to Deter Week, or a refresher for those who have joined us before:

Themes will be posted closer to the end of the year, probably right at the end of the year!

That being said, the goal is not to be restrictive! You are welcome to use the themes, and you are welcome to pay them no mind and create whatever you want.

Any type of fan creation is welcome! Your moodboards, playlists, gifsets, art, fic, remix, podfic, ficbind, and anything else you can come up with is welcome!*

*With the exception of AI-generated works. I'm not going to get into it. If you want to generate fanworks with AI, it's not up to me to stop you. But they're not welcome as a part of the event.

And that's really it! You can always contact the @deterweek blog with any questions, and my main is @lucky-bishop. I look forward to sharing the themes soon, and seeing what you all come up with for this upcoming year.

WIP Wednesday

@dear-massacre tagged me! This is from a role reversal fic I am writing for @deterweek. It’s gonna be Steterek, because Stiles crept his way on in there. Enjoy!

“Peter's aura was different than any I'd ever seen. I learned later it's because he's a werewolf. You guys have more going on in your auras than most humans, at least to me. I was drawn to Peter because of it, so I kept visiting. Most of the nurses didn't mind, and the one who does was overruled.”

The change of tense doesn't slip past Derek. He wonders why a nurse would still care this many years later. He'll have to ask Stiles once he finishes his story.

“You're the only non-omega werewolf I've met besides Peter,” Stiles says. “I would have known more was wrong with Peter than the burns and coma after meeting you, even if you hadn't mentioned the pain.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You and Peter both have the overlay of a wolf when I look at you. They're both howling. Peter's used to look like yours—sad and lonely.”

Derek winces at the accurate description.Hes not sure he wants to know what's changed about Peter's wolf that makes Stiles look so solemn. He jerks his head, hoping Stiles will correctly interpret it as a request to keep talking.

At some point, Stiles had leaned forward and rested his elbows on his thighs. At Derek's gesture he sits up and scrubs his hands down his face before rubbing one over his short hair.

“There have always been flames in Peter's aura, but there were two shining ropes and—and ten burned ones surrounding his wolf that formed a sphere. The bright ones seemed to hold back the flames.”

Stiles stops. He seems hesitant to go on. Derek isn't sure if he wants to hear what comes next, but he knows he needs to.

“Just tell me.”

Stiles takes a deep breath, blowing it out noisily.

“One of the shining ropes was gold and red. The other was solid silver, but brighter. Now the gold rope is limp and the color of dried blood. The silver is wrapped in red, but alone it isn't enough to hold back all the flames.”

“That's why he's in pain.” Derek says in horror. “One pack member isn't enough to keep them back.”

Stiles nods. “I think so.”

“Fuck,” Derek says.

“There's one other thing,” Stiles says. “With only one bond I can see a chain around the wolf's neck. It's covered in runes. Some of them are for stasis.”

It takes a minute for Derek to get it. “You think someone is keeping Peter in a coma? Can you break them?”

“Probably,” Stiles answers, more confident than Derek expects. “He'll need more than just one bond if we want him to be remotely sane.”

“How are we supposed to do that if he's unconscious.”

“Well,” Stiles says. “I might have an idea for that, but you're not gonna like it. C'mon, we need to take this conversation somewhere you can yell at me.”

most of my ships are basically the sarcastic traumatized guy + older traumatized homicidal guy (the first one has the potential for murder too)

UT-Anomalous has 4 Different Flawed Pacifist Endings. The Normal one, The Chara one, The Flowey one, and The Best friends one.

Here's how you get them.

NORMAL: Treat the Papyrus fight like UT's Asgore Fight. Whittle him down and then Spare. You get a phone call like always, with Chara and Flowey giving you a goodbye. You get a Deter Cutscene from this ending telling you you probably could get a better ending, like normal UT's Flowey.

CHARA: Don't whittle Papyrus down too much, then spare. This allows you to bring Chara with you. The phone call changes to just Flowey giving you a goodbye. You then get a different cutscene where you see Chara and Frisk on the surface, and Chara tells Frisk they could have probably done more, and then asks Frisk if they can still load their save. This brings you back to the menu to continue.

FLOWEY:Whittle down Papyrus, then FIGHT. This allows you to bring FLOWEY with you. The phone call changes to Chara being conflicted, but forgiving Frisk. Giving them a sad goodbye. The cutscene is then Flowey telling Frisk the same thing Chara tells them in the Chara ending.

BEST FRIENDS:Load your save after any Flawed Pacifist ending, then Fight Papyrus again, and Spare. You then get a cutscene where Deter TRIES to attack again, but since you already know what Deter;s going to do, Frisk, Chara, and Flowey stop Deter before they can attack Papyrus, and tell Papyrus to put the Human ESSENCE's back into Safekeeping. except for Azreal and Emily's, who they ask to be returned to them. Papyrus then let's you leave peacefully as thanks for saving his life. you then get a cutscene with Chara and Flowey telling frisk the same thing they say in their Respective endings, locking you out of trying to fight Papyrus again after loading your save. You are then LOCKED into needing to do Pacifist unless you Reset.

Peter watches his nephew from the stairs in his bare, punishing loft and wants.

This wanting isn't new, especially not when Derek is shirtless and sweaty from working out. It's easy to want Derek and Peter certainly isn't alone in it—not with Derek's pack being comprised of teenagers only a few years younger than the alpha himself.

If the wanting was new. Peter might not mind it so much, but it's old—older than he wants to acknowledge even to himself. Old enough that it feels like a corruption that's stained him irrevocably. Peter feels no qualms, no guilt for the lives he's taken, but he thinks he's lucky he doesn't believe in hell or he might have gone there for how badly he wanted Derek when he was just a teenage boy.

Peter never acted on wanting Derek. At least, he's pretty sure that wasn't his motivation in that debacle that led to a dead girl and his nephew's blue eyes. He'll never admit it to anyone, but he's lost many nights of sleep examining his actions, and he still thinks he did what was best for the pack. If it had worked out it would have been best for Derek as well. Peter wasn't even trying to separate him from the girl, let alone do anything to cause her death.

That's what happened, though, and regardless of what motivated him, it was Peter's fault.

"Why are you here? You have your own apartment. Why are you always in mine?" Derek asks him.

Peter smiles lazily, calculates it to get one of Derek's glorious scowls.

"Yours is just so comfortable," he tells Derek. "How could I resist this self-flagellation chic and scent of desperate teenagers you surround yourself with?"

ASGORE takes the role of CHARA.

CHARA takes the role of MONSTER KID.

ASRIEL takes the role of MUFFET.

UNDYNE takes the role of GRILLBY.

ALPHYS takes the role of BURGERPANTS.

AZREAL from HELLSPAWNTALE REBOOTED takes the role of SANS.

The Underground is Renamed to be "The Subterranean Realm."

The SOUL is renamed to be the ESSENCE. It is Diamond Shaped.

Frisk's ESSENCE is SPRING GREEN.

The default font is The Earthbound Font.

The RUINS becomes The COAST, With Sans acting as Lifeguard.

SNOWDIN becomes Maple Midtown, with Emily Acting as the Maple Mage, and Azreal as her Sidekick. They are both basically zombies of 2 of the fallen humans who lost their memories, but still had leftover DT in them. They somehow can live without their souls attached to them, and as long as their souls are around, they can still feel love. Their SOULS are returned to them In true Pacifist and All neutral routes. (Except if Emily Dies)

WATERFALL becomes Cloudy Cliffs, the only area in the Subterranean Realm with Clouds. Susie is a rebellious student at the prestigious Academy where Monsters learn about their history and how to fly using Their Academy Jetpacks. Frisk is mistaken for a new student and is partnered with Chara for the assignment of going through the entirety of Cloudy Cliffs. Susie attacks Frisk because she NEEDS the A+ or she'll be sent back to live at home, and she DOES NOT want that, so she stops Frisk a lot along the way to try and get ahead of Frisk. Chara also grows pretty close to Frisk and realizes not ALL humans are bad.

HOTLAND becomes Frigid Fields, where Monster scout Noelle Holiday, is raising funds for her Father's treatment. Asriel is a Monster Scout too, and eventually, at the end of it all, we find Frost forcing you into a REAL battle so he can help Noelle.

NEW HOME becomes The Central, where we find Papyrus, Chief of the Subterranean Realm. We battle him, duh.
