It's not pure luck, I don't think. That maze knew to bring food when his friends weren't in the mood to cook...this man is an intuitive soul, with a gift for knowing what people need. You never underestimate the weird people. This man may have been in a mental hospital for a long time (that is heavily implied), but he's also the sweetest and kindest man you'll ever know. I think this book is one of the closest things DC has to Howard the Duck. It's this and Blue Devil. Those two are the closest things to HTD at DC. And that's the highest praise you can get from me. Steve Gerber and Bill Mantlo had genius runs on Howard the Duck. They made me feel emotions Strong, powerful emotions. They made me laugh while almost making me cry. And this book is doing the same thing. It's beautiful. ('Mazing Man #1):

Goddamn it, this makes me almost burst into tears. Why isn't 'Mazing Man talked about more!? Why!? This book is... it's so heartfelt! Twelve issues, and it's made me feel every emotion! Happiness, sadness, bitterness at the crushing march of time, sympathy for a woman who almost commits infidelity, etc. This is a book about people. There's like 5-6 people, and the book is about all of them. It's... i'm gonna miss maze. Mazing Man, the world's cutest, sweetest, most relatable and weird superhero. I'm... I'll miss this little guy. I know I technically have three more annuals with him to read, but this ending feels so dediniiteve. It's...it makes me almost cry. sigh... ('Mazing Man #12):
