okay so I sometimes volunteer at this thing called FabScrap which is a nonprofit that helps reduce waste from the fast fashion industry by sorting and recycling/reselling for super cheap all their production waste (fabric samples from textile producers, old muslins, fabric scraps from after the pattern is cut out, unused yardage, and even rejected garments that are fully made) and basically what you do when volunteering is you just sort the stuff they give you so it can be recycled. Just big garbage bags of the most random stuff imaginable that a company threw away because they didn't need it anymore. As a reward they let you take home five pounds of free fabric from their store area or anything that catches your eye while sorting, it's super neat.

Anyways with context out of the way, I was there yesterday and I was sorting a bag that had a bunch of different samples for fabric swatches for designer brands. Like scraps from Coach, Michael Kors, etc. and I was like hmmm..... I'll set these aside bc it's authentic fabric from these companies and maybe I could do something with it. And then I had the funniest idea possible: slowly collect the designer fabric swatches from FabScrap and make the World's Most Expensive Quilt. Anyways I'm really excited and can't wait to make this thing, unfortunately I can't go back until the fall but I'm looking forward to making a quilt that calls me poor

Alexander McQueen Denim Jacket

This cool jacket is on my wishlist. In reality I would only be able to attain it if somebody rich gives it to me, but I can dream! 

I love the sharp cut out details on the sleeves. The structured cut and cinched waist will flatter a curvy or slim figure. 

I adore when designers put their own unique spin on denim.
