Here's a skin concept idea I had for Venture and Derek Proudmoore of World of Warcraft, as a crossover!

I'm definitely not lying awake and thinking of heart-wrenching scenarios that tug at the heartstrings.... no, not at all.
I personally think if Kathrine was able to meet Sylvanas' dark rangers, she would take up on a motherly role to them as well!
And Tandred pulling pranks with them, especially with Velonara and Alina.
Derek would throw a fit when seeing his own family treating them as such. Who can blame him? But with convincing from both Jaina and their mother, he would learn to forgive, which would take him a while!

i think a cool alternative to removing calia's title would be giving the rest of the desolate council unique titles, like giving Velonara the title "The Shadowed Arrow" or something like that. honestly her title isnt even that bad, i just really want them all to be equal.
but derek's HAS to go, like i cannot see a SINGLE reason for him to have it. i can see "champion of the desolate council" if they started having him do a bunch of stuff protecting them with or something

sylvanas being a rape victim headcanons are misogynistic and entirely to do with forcing sylvanas to be victimized in a more womanly way than any real reading of the text.
i'm just saying, derek proudmoore was raised from the dead, subjected to mental torture, and had his body permanently altered to try to force him to fit another character's will, and i've never seen rape narratives surrounding him, so.

day 4 - favourite character
Tumblr media
Darion Mograine is the leader of the Four Horsemen and the former Highlord of the Knights of the Ebon Blade. The son of Alexandros Mograine, one of the Highlords of the Knights of the Silver Hand and the original wielder of the Ashbringer, Darion was a paladin of the Silver Hand, and later of the Argent Dawn. After his father was murdered by his brother Renault Mograine, he came into possession of the corrupted Ashbringer, and tried to save his father's souls inside. During the First Battle for Light's Hope, Darion used the sword to kill himself, destroying the Scourge forces and releasing his father's soul. Following the battle, the Archlich Kel'Thuzad raised him as an undead, while the Lich King made him the Highlord of Death Knights of Acherus and the ruler of Acherus: The Ebon Hold, once again wielding the corrupted Ashbringer. After defeating the Scarlet Crusade in the Scarlet Enclave, he and his fellow death knights broke free from the Lich King's control during the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel and founded the order of renegade death knights known as the Knights of the Ebon Blade. Under the leadership of Darion, the Ebon Blade spearheaded the attack against the Scourge alongside the Argent Crusade during the war against the Lich King, temporarily allied with them to form the Ashen Verdict and topple the Lich King.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore is the daughter of Daelin and Katherine Proudmoore, and sister of Derek and Tandred. She is considered one of the finest mages in all Azeroth and the most powerful human sorceress alive. She is the Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras, the former leader of the Kirin Tor of Dalaran, and of the port-city of Theramore. Trained as the personal agent of Archmage Antonidas, the late leader of the Kirin Tor and Dalaran, she was sent to investigate the plague of undeath with Prince Arthas Menethil, her childhood friend and one-time romantic interest. She witnessed the first stages of the fall of Lordaeron during the Third War firsthand and, guided by a mysterious prophet later revealed as Medivh, Jaina rallied what survivors she could find and fled across the sea to Kalimdor. There, her expedition forces joined together with the night elves and the New Horde and defeated the Burning Legion during the Battle of Mount Hyjal. The human survivors then founded the port city of Theramore, joining the Alliance led by Varian Wrynn, while maintaining peace with the Horde for several years. Shortly after the fall of Deathwing, the Horde led by Garrosh Hellscream destroyed Theramore. Jaina managed to escape with her life, but the experience transformed her, making her more bellicose and even altering her appearance. Following the death of Rhonin during the attack, and fulfilling a prophecy made by the dragon-mage Korialstrasz, Jaina took the fallen mage's place as leader of the Kirin Tor and head of the Council of Six. In spite of personal tragedies, she attempted to maintain the Kirin Tor's neutrality during the Alliance-Horde war. After the Horde-aligned Sunreavers aided Garrosh to steal the Divine Bell, Jaina exiled the Sunreavers from her city during the Purge of Dalaran and aligned the Kirin Tor with the Alliance. Following the Battle for the Broken Shore, the Council decided unanimously to re-admit the Horde into Dalaran for the greater good. Furious, Jaina left the Kirin Tor. Following the War of the Thorns, Jaina returned to her homeland of Kul Tiras in the name of the Alliance but was imprisoned for treason by her mother at the suggestion of Lady Priscilla Ashvane. After Ashvane's own betrayal was discovered, Jaina reconciled with her mother and brought the lost Kul Tiran fleet back home. Katherine stepped down as Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras and named Jaina in her stead, re-pledging their nation to the Alliance cause and to the Fourth War.

hey question
given zoens whole .. thing. with Jaina. and their complicated relationship. what does she make of her uncles. specifically the undead one
That depends almost entirely upon Jaina! As difficult as their relationship often is, Zoen ultimately, dearly loves her mother. She’s as loyal to her as she can afford to be, and would never, ever want to see Jaina come to harm.
So you can imagine she didn’t take the opening scene of Boralus particularly well.
Zoen’s generally wary of his Proudmoore relatives. Forgiveness is for the living; the dead remember. While Tandred and Derek had nothing to do with Katherine’s cool response, they’re still the kin of her and this place. Kul Tiras hated Jaina so much. Everyone might have let bygones be bygones, but there’s a scar on Zoen’s heart that he’s entirely happy to nurse for the rest of eternity. ( His father’s son, through and through. ) Tandred would be kept at arm’s length until something especial should happen to change that.
( Of course, he’s wary of his Menethil relatives as well. It wouldn’t be him who informs Calia she’s got a long-lost nephew. Shared blood brings out such a tentative nature in the Deathlord. There’s too much to hope for, and even more to be disappointed by. )
Derek being undead does afford him a particular leeway and … kindness … from his niece. As mentioned before, Zoen’s best nature is reserved for the newly-risen, chiefly those of especially traumatic rebirths. While she might be somewhat more terse with Derek than any other in his position, he wouldn’t be denied any of the actionable means of her compassion. The Ebon Blade stands ready to accept him, should he request it. And her long knowledge and experience with their shared condition is his to benefit from, should he ask.
But she might not be so comfortable around him as she is the rest of her deathly kin.

Of all the places Tartt missed the most, it is Undercity- home of the Forsaken. It was formerly home to the humans of Lordaeron. But that had changed when Arthas killed his father; and then Sylvanas took it over much later. So much misery, death and undeath.
With Calia Menethil aiding the Forsaken now, things started to look up. There was a possible hope to look forward to. And with Derek Proudmoore aiding her, that hope would slowly become a reality little by little.
Tumblr media
She had died in Arathi, shot by Sylvanas. But with the help of Anduin, Alonsus Faol, and a Naaru, she had become something different.
And while the goblin death knight wondered, there would be time to get acquainted with the Pallid Lady in due time, hoping that the lower areas would be open soon. How she missed working in the Engineering section. Only time would tell.

Tandred's features on his face grew ever so concerned. And yet he watched as his sister conforted the fightened girl much like their mother used to when they were children.
"Aye. No one will hurt you here."
Tandred still didn't move from his spot before Jaina got up from the bed to walk to her brother.
"Kara, no monsters will be able to do anything without my magic wards alerting me first. You're safe, I promise you." She spoke softly and with such a kindness that Tandred recognized from their mother. He decided to not mention it for now. He sat down in a chair by a desk that Jaina would use for writing letters or any documents she would have to send out as Lord Admiral.
"Kara, believe me when I say that my sister and her wife will protect you with their lives as will I. You are family." He smiled softly and reached into his coat pocket and took out a kultiran pendant with such care. It was a silver chain that had the symbol of house proudmoore on it.
"Jaina, mother and Derek would like to see you all sometime back home."
Jaina had rested with Kara since she knew she was prone to flashbacks which was something she was all too familiar to. Pulling the girl closer to her to lay the girl's head on her shoulder, she summoned gently comb using magic before gently brushing the girl's hair much like her own mother used to do with her.
She's just a little girl... I can't imagine the horrors she must've have endured..
Her thoughts were interrupted when the little girl awoke in fright. She quietly shushed the girl's worries. "There's no need to be afraid, you're safe. You're in a safe place." She sat up and glanced at the little girl. "We... didn't want to wake you, you were exhausted that you passed out. We brought you here so you could rest. Sylvanas is making food for you. And I asked my brother to bring some food from my homeland. You like eel liver soup?" She smiled softly before her sea blue eyes glanced into brown ones. "I hope i didn't wake you?" She asked, with a slight concerned look and frown. She glanced at the doorway where she saw a pale elf with red eyes and black hair in dark ranger garab. The woman looked similar to her partner, Sylanas. "Alina, is Tandred here?" Jaina asked before the man in requestion walked out from behind the dark ranger, he was a strong sailor, with blonde hair and beard. "As requested, little sister." He said before walking over to the two with a bowl of soup. "This is Tandred, my brother." Jaina said with a soft smile towards the girl. "He's a good man, he won't hurt you."

Baine would speak with Sylvanas before her penance and ask for forgiveness for the way he treated her in the past.
Derek and Tandred would also be present by Jaina's side. Baine would want Sylvanas to complete her penance intact and gives her a Tauren gift to help on her task. I'm not sure what that would be.
I also wish we had a conversation between Syl and Lor'thermar! They were friends in life, and he was saddened when she died as were her people, which was evident in the blood elf heritage questline!
I would have settled for Syl and Derek having a conversation to give him closure.
I may write a thing based on this, so keep an eye out!

Wowhead reporting:
Battle for Azeroth's Confusing Timeline
In contrast to the minor changes in Mists of Pandaria or Legion, the timeline clarifications are a mite more complicated. Due to the nature of Battle for Azeroth's defining faction divide, the events during the expansion happened concurrently with one another, primarily in events such as the war campaign for each faction. In a book like Chronicle, however, events are told in a chronological order, and in an effort to codify a solid timeline for the expansion, some interesting implications have been made.
In Chronicle, it is firmly established that rather than the events of the Stormwind Extraction with Talanji and Zul being the inciting incident for the expansion, the events of Kul Tiras entirely take place before that story. Not only do the events of Stormsong Valley, Drustvar, and Tiragarde Sound happen first (in that order), but the capstone storyline with Jaina Proudmoore's torment and the Siege of Boralus takes place beforehand as well, culminating in her appointment as Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras.
Additionally, it is noted that the entirety of the baseline Horde war campaign also occurs before any activity on Zandalar, with Nathanos' exploits to uncover the body of Derek Proudmoore happening in this timespan, as well as the storyline in patch 8.1's Tides of Vengeance campaign also occurring with the freedom of Lady Ashvane from Tol Dagor at the hands of Rexxar and Valtrois.
As the book states, Ashvane's freedom "emboldens" Sylvanas to press her luck in finding advantages against the Alliance, which leads to her discovery of Talanji and Zul's imprisonment in the Stormwind Stockades. It is from there that they are freed and the Alliance fleet chases after them to their ruin, as seen in the Zandalar introduction cinematic. Once this occurs, we get the leveling stories of Nazmir, Vol'dun, and Zuldazar (in that order) entirely after the events of Alliance leveling, which is then followed by the death of G'huun in Uldir.
As one might guess, this presents quite a few problems for the existing timeline in Battle for Azeroth. Most notably, the fact that all of Kul Tiras now happens before Talanji's freedom from Stormwind invalidates a number of quests during the Alliance introduction. The need for a fleet to rival the Zandalari's is what first stirs Jaina to approach her former homeland and beg them for aid, despite their hatred of her at that point in time. In this new timeline, Jaina would have already been Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras, and their fleet would have instead been a problem that the Horde would be needing to solve. Additionally, it raises the question of where the Horde's war campaign was operating from, as the events at max level with Nathanos originally occurred from their base in the Port of Zuldazar.
LOOOL those chronicle retcons. No thats not fucking canon.
