Need For Skilled Elder Care in DeKalb County and Alpharetta, GA
It is usual for an older adult to become forgetful frequently. Instances of misplacing medications, keys, and reading glasses are common. The family members at home need to understand the seriousness of the situation and offer assistance as required. Often, the mental abilities of the patient begin to decrease substantially, affecting their day-to-day lives too. Known as dementia in medical jargon, the family members need to consider hiring a trained professional to provide dementia care in Atlanta and Douglasville, GA.   The family members, especially the children, are dismayed at the events and hope to do their best for the ailing parent. Sadly, trying to cater to a person suffering from memory loss is not an easy task. Moreover, the adult children cannot afford to put their lives on hold to care for the patient with dementia.
Reaching out for help and hiring a professional with the requisite expertise and experience is the only way to care for a patient who cannot differentiate between the essentials and the frivolous. The benefits of professional care are immense, with the following benefits being significantly appreciated by the family of the patient: -
· Expert Dementia Care- Providing the right sort of care to patients with dementia can be challenging. The professional care provider will indeed have the required knowledge, skills, and training for it. The best caregivers will not only help the patient with day-to-day necessities but will also address the traits of dementia, such as aimless wandering, and/or aggression effectively.
· Improved Safety- With the patient forgetting most things, ensuring their safety becomes the most important. Such patients are known to slip and fall frequently and may touch live electric wires without knowing the consequences. The care provider is responsible for keeping a watchful eye on the patient 24/7. Moreover, the care provider can request the family to provide senior proof of the home to minimize the risks of accidents. Accompanying the patient on strolls, even in the garden, is essential to ensure complete safety for a person who cannot decide between right and wrong.
· Emotional Support—Being by the patient's side daily can result in recognition in patients with early stages of dementia. Speaking to the patient and answering their queries regularly can help convey friendship and companionship. The patient thus feels assured and loved once again. Indulging in activities regularly can help them improve their mental cognition slowly but surely.
· Support for Family & Caregivers- Looking after a patient with dementia can be highly demanding. Raising the voice does not work in such cases, especially when the patient cannot recall anything. Having a trained care provider take on this responsibility can be immensely helpful for the family and the existing care provider, who will have their responsibilities reduced and made manageable.
It is common to be diagnosed with many health conditions in advanced age. Hiring a professional for elder care in DeKalb County and Alpharetta, GA, can be effective in many ways. The resident can continue to live in familiar surroundings without being compelled to move into assisted living facilities.

Pamala Wainwright, 38
Tumblr media
On January 15, 1987, Pamala Wainwright was admitted to Shallowford Community Hospital in Dunwoody, Georgia to have an abortion and a tubal ligation. She never walked out.
Pamala was a married mother of 3 (counting the baby she was 11 weeks pregnant with). One of her kids had Down Syndrome, but it is unknown if this played a part in Pamala’s reasoning to have an abortion.
The next day, Pamala was taken to the operating room. Wendell Phillips was the abortionist who killed Pamala and her third baby.
The abortion was done with a method known as a carbon dioxide abortion, which involved putting a needle into the mother’s abdomen and pumping carbon dioxide to kill the unborn baby. I have been able to find almost no information on this method outside of Pamala’s case.
Phillips did not bother to make sure he put the needle in the right place. He pumped carbon dioxide gas directly into Pamala’s bloodstream, causing vapor lock in her heart that induced cardiac arrest. She was killed almost instantly.
On January 16, 1987, Pamala’s husband became a widower and the father of a dead child. He was left to raise his surviving children as a single father. Had Pamala never undergone an abortion, he would probably have soon celebrated the birth of a family member instead of mourning the deaths of two.

Reasons To Consider Buying Homeowners Insurance in Paso Robles and Santa Maria, CA
Every trade requires the usage of specified equipment and tools that skilled workers wield. No one can continue with their designated tasks without using the right tools, from contractors to single workers. Such equipment becomes a must-have for those who work with their hands. From the construction industry to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, there is no area where specialized tools fail to be utilized. Protecting them is of utmost importance, therefore. Almost all workers find the tools and equipment insurance in Oceano and DeKalb County, GA, to effectively preserve their tools and livelihood simultaneously. Alternatively known as equipment floater insurance, independent contractors, subcontractors, and tradesmen are expected to carry this type of small business insurance policy. The insurance carrier will compensate for theft, damage, and/or lost equipment regardless of where the tools were stored.
Most users are not initially convinced of buying yet another insurance coverage apart from the BOP. Carrying this insurance plan can be beneficial for the following individuals:
· Appliance repair technicians · Carpenters & Woodworkers · Engaged in Concrete business · Belonging to the Construction industry · Electricians · Operating an Installation business · Landscaper · Plumber · Tree service contractor · Welder The list mentioned above is not exhaustive by any means. Every individual who earns with the help of a trade is advised to be covered by the tools and equipment insurance plan
The insurance buyer can choose between the following types of insurance policy to obtain the best protection for the equipment used:
· Open perils policy- This policy will cover loss and damage to the mentioned tools & equipment in all circumstances except those specifically mentioned in the list of exclusions
· Named perils policy- The coverage is limited to the damage or loss caused due to explicitly mentioned reasons.
It is not surprising to understand that the latter policy is more affordable as it includes coverage for only a few selected scenarios
The perils that are usually included and accepted for compensation by the insurance carrier include the following:-
· Hail · Lightning · Lost items · Theft · Vandalism · High Wind · Fire
It is also essential to inquire about the coverage of specific tools used extensively for working on a project, either on-site or off-site. The equipment that is covered by insurance has to be valued at less than $ 10,000 and in relatively new condition. This type of insurance plan does not cover the tools that are more than 5 years old.
It is vital to review the insurance documents to understand the exclusions as well. Obliviousness to this aspect can result in financial loss.
Apart from securing the business and the tools, it is also essential to think about the home. Buying the right homeowners insurance in Paso Robles and Santa Maria, CA, can enable one to obtain relief from financial hardship when the property is affected by a natural disaster.

"Apostles of Mercy" by Lindsay Ellis is out now! And she's going on book tour in the U.S. for the first time for the Noumena series!
Hey remember when the pandemic sidelined all her plans to go on book tour for Axiom's End so she did a ton of interviews instead, and then a book tour didn't really happen for Truth of the Divine? YEAH! "HOLY SHIT!" IS RIGHT!!

I have so many pictures in boxes, my sisters have pictures in boxes - little one and I are sorta nearby now. Middle one is across the country. US.
Our parents died before we were adults. I am the oldest.
Middle one has the great quilts our mom made. Littlest one has her wedding dress.
We each have different photo albums. They're truly one of my most protected things. They each have theirs. We went through them like kids, cause we essentially were.
I live in Atlanta - core Atlanta - and I have our mother's GSU (GA STATE UNIVERSITY) master's degree, framed.
Everything is silly, but that mattered to me and how she got it. She lost her mom when she was very young, had people in a fucked up Southern Baptist church tell my grandfather to give her and my uncle up, and they said nope together.
Said grandfather called me by her name - my mom's and his wife's (who I never met, but I'm named after and she is HOT in pictures, but also, eek) when he was too stubborn to go to a doctor for his heart, nevermind everything. He died after my mom because I don't think he could take the same thing twice.
Same cancer, same look.
That said, I remember my mom. My sisters didn't have that privilege. I was holding her hand before she had to go to hospice, for her own comfort. I was there whispering in her ear that I'd make sure they'd be okay. Literally. We had in home hospice care, but at a certain point death was real.
There is so much more to our story, her story, but I will FUCK OVER with my full heart who tries to call GSU and her love of teaching and her degree over.
The way my lunch ladies, my sister's teachers, counselors that were both DeKalb and Gwinnett, parents who met her once when she was a nothing in a shared office and made time and told me about it, and more came to her funeral will always be one of the most glorious moments of my life.
Our mom dying wasn't all bad. She's always why I will support public schools, will always support women, and will always make uncomfortable choices if necessary.
Trump might say that school where she got her Master's degree is too liberal, but mostly it's because he's racist and stupid. And he can't fill the seat. He doesn't know Atlanta. Or anyone from here. He's an ugly human. And that is me being kind.
Please vote blue. Thank you.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: This appearance has been pushed back, with DeKalb Police telling 11Alive the mom is currently in the hospital.
Original story below
A mother whose 7-year-old daughter was found dead in a closet - described by the man who found her as looking like a "mummy" - is due in court on Monday.
Alondra Hobbs, charged with felony murder and second degree cruelty in Alivia Hobbs-Jordan's death, will have a first appearance in DeKalb County court. The proceeding is scheduled for 1 p.m.
11Alive spoke to the man who made the grisly discovery.
RELATED: 'She looked like a mummy' | Mom facing murder charge after 7-year-old found dead in apartment closet
He said he was walking back from a friend’s place around 4 p.m. Sunday when he noticed the front door to an apartment "wide open" in one of the buildings at Hidden Valley Apartments. The apartments sit back off Candler Road along Misty Waters Drive.
He said something seemed off about the doors being open and said he could smell a foul odor as he got closer. As he entered the one-bedroom apartment, he said the lights were off and it was obvious no one was home. He said all the furniture was still inside and things left on the counter as if someone "left in a hurry."
The man said he walked back to the bedroom and noticed the door to the closet was open and something was hanging out of the door. He said it was a human arm.
"You could tell it was a young girl by what she had on and by her hair,” he said.
He called 911. According to DeKalb County Police, officers respond around 9 p.m. However, the man said he called 911 twice but claimed the dispatchers didn’t believe him. He alleged he was even hung up on during one of the calls. He said he eventually had to flag down a security guard on the property to contact police. He said once they arrived, they roped off the apartment.
11Alive reached out to the police department about the allegations regarding the 911 calls. They told us they would look into the claims. We are waiting to hear back.
The man said it appeared the body had been in the closet for quite sometime due to the condition.
“She looked like a mummy,” he said.
