Kay So I voted no and here's how I see it personally.

Kink CAN be sexual. But doesn't have to be. I feel like the people saying that kink is only sexual are the allos and it's giving aphobia.

I know some asexual people who are the kinkiest mfs that god ever created on this beautiful earth but they don't practice kinks for sexual gratification.

Sometimes kink is just about being in a certain headspace or Indulging in an absurd fantasy. Enjoying things others might find weird.

If I'd have to give an example I'd say that my kink is men in lingerie. It's not sexual for me. I don't get "turned on'' when I see it. It's just something I think looks so beautiful and hot and I appreciate seeing it. It's a kink because it's an abnormal attraction. Kink can be about attraction too. And not necessarily sexual ones.

Everyone experiences kink differently- It's not a one size fits all. Let's stop having dumb internet arguments about this now.

i like to think he came back exactly how he was before his breakdown girlboss warcrime moment, so in his 50s, greying, bad knee and shoulder from ignoring his injuries from mongul, no job no friends no money no ring etc.

The thing that always bugs me the most about post-parallax hal is that they (Geoffrey) just fucking ignored helen. like where did she go. she's all of what eight years old just lost her parents, has abandonment issues, stuck in the middle of fucking. idk utah was it??? ALONE???? anyways i like to ignore canon and pretend that hal just kept on keeping on with helen, no powers, just doing his best to keep them afloat with odd jobs and shit.

I think that him being a regular guy again adds some extra pain and despair into the story if you just pick up where Spectre (2001) ends off, because hal Knows he doesn't look stable enough to raise a kid by himself but he Just promised to never give helen up and he wants to be there for her So Fucking Bad , and now that he's an actual people again he has to deal with shit like being legally alive again and custody paperwork and proving himself competent to child services i have thought about this a normal amount

Aw geez. Okay. Guess I'll talk about that too since I've seen it on my dash

I try to avoid queer discourse especially on pride month but I'll just give my two cents here so i guys know where I stand on this I guess. No I don't want further discussions, I'm tired.

I don't like the hostility towards afab people who identify as transfem. I understand where it comes from. I understand the resentment because afab transfems don't face a lot of the real life struggles and discrimination that amab transfems face. And at first the term "afab transfem" sounds like an oxymoron so it's easier to dismiss its validity.

But saying stuff like "AFAB TRANSFEM ISN'T REAL IT CAN'T EXIST!! YOU'RE INFILTRATING TRANS SPACES!!" is too broad of a statement to make to not hurt other marginalized groups and ironically enough only ends up being exclusionary.

The type of people I've seen claim the label afab transfems are usually systems, intersex people, multigender people, ftmtf... and they're not trying to erase what it means to be a Trans woman or invading Trans spaces. They're trying to find a label that fits their gender journey.

The argument especially starts becoming iffy when it basically reverts back to "Genital = Gender" which sounds like TERF rhetoric and I am NOT touching that with a 10ft pole.

IF there are cis women trying to infiltrate Trans spaces by pretending to be trans like yeah, fucking call them out. Get their asses. But they're not being afab transfems, they're being assholes.

Everyone's gender journey is different and weird and scary, especially if you end up identifying with a gender that doesn't fit the "norm" and in the end you don't know these people or what their gender journey is. There are a million reasons someone might not feel cis. These people should be welcomed, not harassed.

At the end of the day in the eyes of Transphobic legislators we all look the same to them and they all hate us equally. So infighting is just dumb and unnecessary. Especially when afab transfems are such a miniscule minority in the queer community they cannot feasibly pose any threat to other Trans people. It's their lives, not yours, if they're not harming anyone, let them be.

Why Wing does this though comes from a much more kind-hearted reason.

It's safe to assume that the circle of light HATES Autobots and Decepticons alike, Dai Atlas especially hates Decepticons. So Wing got into a hell of a lot of trouble for bringing one into the city. Considering that they expect Wing to discipline and alienate Drift from the people of Crystal City, what Wing does instead is much more tame.

He KNOWS Drift would get killed by either the Decepticons or the Slave Traders if he goes out of the City. So Wing thinks of a compromise. "Prove to me that you can fend for yourself or stay here and train until you're ready."

Wing can fend for himself outside of the City, he's a trained warrior. And Deadlock can't. So he wants to make sure that if Deadlock gets out of the City, he at least would be able to defend himself.

At the same time, Wing knows he's dealing with a Decepticon so going soft isn't going to be an option. They have "Deception" in their name for a reason so better play it safe and be tough.

I'd say training Drift and breaking his ego and bad habits on the way until he's ready to leave the city is a better alternative to whatever Dai Atlas had in mind.

And I'd like to think that Wing actually isn't all that popular at all. If anything, he seems to be the outcast in the Circle of Light. The one who always breaks the rules, the one least liked by authorities, the one who questions the ideologies the Circle of Light has set for the sake of Morale.

What if he has like no Friends at all besides Axe and finds himself liking hanging out with Drift a lot. Maybe he symphasizes with Drift on being the outcast, the one no one truly likes.

Wing is a three-dimensional character and even if he only appeared in 4 Issues of a comic, there is nuance to him if you squint your eyes.

was talking with some friends about this yesterday but like. wing is so weird. he is such a weird dude. i firmly believe he is a jock surrounded by nerds who saw this feral angry dude in deadlock and was like "if i play my cards right i will FINALLY have someone to Fight A Lot, excellent" and that's a good 50% of why he proposes this objectively ridiculous idea

i genuinely like wing a lot bc if you take his character at face value without going "wellll the writing in this series is kinda off, so" he's just a BIT insane tbh and i love it
