currently staring down a listing for a gorgeous blue PSP on ebay because my brain is trying to convince myself that buying a PSP and a copy of Lost Frontier so I can have full unrestricted access to Phoenix for only a one-time payment is a good investment. So far I'm making a good case to myself. Including TLF and Daxter, there's actually more games on PSP that I want to play than I realized; R&C, Death Jr., some Japanese Bleach games I saw...I'm very tempted

Heyo everyone! I recently started playing Death Jr 2 root of evil again on my old Wii, and also have the comics (bought them at my local comic store!) And recently also bought the first game for my psp!! Anyways, i always wanted to cosplay a grim reaper themed character, but as i'm pretty short for my age ( 22 years old, yet 5'1 ft lmao X"D ), i actually never did it sadly, well? No more! I have officially decided to start on a cosplay of DJ! As he's basically a childhood favorite of mine and i think more people should start to know about him, as the character is very fun :D i'll keep ya'll updateed when i have progress, as of now i'm still trying to decide how to actually make him, luckily i have support from my parents! My mom actually wants to help me look for a proper skull mask, that i'll hopefully be able to edit to look a tad more like DJ! i also have drawn a badge for the cosplay, because i realized with fursuiting that i really enjoy making those (sadly not doing commissions yet tho) and i thought since DJ's pretty obscure, i'd make a badge XD i'll reblog this with the badge soon, it's only drawn digital so far, hoping to print it at my work when i go, i'll also reblog it whenever i have updates to show!

so i been tinkering with a psp as a hobby and it's fun

but there's a lot of weird niche shit to learn, like "don't have USB charge on while file transferring if you're using a third-party battery" which is a series of events which mysteriously cause the battery to just, die, permanently (i have two replacements coming, lmao)

but the advantages of learning these little quirks and keeping the PSP from annihilating itself are pretty big

if you're discerning and keep deleting shit you don't actually enjoy, you can have an insanely robust library on just a 32gb memory card

i've got big stuff like Peace Walker, and tiny stuff like N+, and anything i especially love i have externally on UMD, like Death Jr. or Katamari

but that's just official titles and isos

there's a whole world of wrapping PS1 games into an "eboot" file so you can play things like FF9, Spyro, and even Duke Nukem on this thing

and beyond that, why not slap on a GBA emulator and play a fully-translated copy of Mother 3?

why not reskin the entire menu system, strip out all the defunct buttons for dead online services, and put the entirety of Megas XLR on there to watch whenever?

but it has quirks. jpg file too big? "what the fuck, we don't do that in 2008," says the PSP. so you crack open MS paint and crunch up your nice 1920x1080 wallpaper by 50%, drag it back onto the machine, and boom, it looks fine

mp4 file too modern? crack open handbrake and re-encode it with IPOD 5 COMPATIBILITY. why does that work? who knows! but now you can rip a blu-ray of Morbius and cram some morbin' time into the least convenient screen you own, for bathroom watching

plays music just fine. i might be the first human being to play Bustin' on a psp, so that's cool

it's genuinely the coolest little handheld i've ever played with, and it's so nice to have a hobby where learning every part of the process makes you feel like, well

and that's worth more than anything tbh

Smash Characters and people who main them

So, I was thinking about who mains certain Smash characters. Aaaand I got these ideas.

Mario: Probably Mickey Mouse. Or Emmet from the Lego Movie franchise idk

DK: Surely not King Kong because he has big hands and would break a Joy-Con just by touching it, not even a GameCube controller is safe. 100% Winston from Overwatch is the candidate, even better if he takes the blue DK skin lol

Link: Sora. This one is easy as hell.

Samus: Tony Stark is the first option that comes to mind.

Dark Samus: And since Rhodes can’t use Samus, might as well use the OTHER Samus lol

Yoshi: It is canonically stated in Deltarune that Asriel Dreemurr mains him and loves him to death.

Fox: I’m not sure how a red pirate fox animatronic holds a Joy-Con or two but probably Foxy from FNAF is the perfect main here.

Pikachu: It’s either Agumon or Jibanyan, too easy. Also put Jibanyan in Smash Sakurai pls

Luigi: Probably Donald Duck to parallel Mickey, the only difference between the two would be that Donald has a short temper while Luigi is a cowardly lion (and the plumber-sailor thing)

Ness: *MEGALOVANIA AND GAME THEORY INTRO INTENSIFIES* Ok jokes aside I think John Egbert and/or Sans are good candidates as Smash main.

Captain Falcon: Raphael, the red turtle from the Teena- wait why am I explaining an obvious character. His bros collectively main another character.
