it's a bit early to be getting into tragic backstories. â from davina / @fallsblood
"My dearest Davina," Elijah smiled at her, "our lives are a tragic story. All the time."
He tilted his head a little, watching how she reacted to his words. "It can't be soon enough to talk about it and find a better solution," he continued.
"So how about you tell me what's going on and I'll find a solution?"

"A fair stance," she replied upon hearing her daughter considered the island her home. There was time, plenty of time, for Davina to experience the world beyond what she had already; she could go at her own pace. Warmth spread throughout her smile and expression when Davina said her life here was even better now that Xiwangmu was there; oh, how the Queen Mother agreed; this was truly the best possible outcome she could have imagined upon arriving in Mount Phoenix.
She couldn't help but laugh--a beautiful, melodious sound--upon hearing Davina spout off her plans to get married first and then spend the rest of their lives traveling. "Oh? Is there someone? I would love to meet them." Of course, and suitor of her daughter would have to undergo INTENSE scrutiny by not just her mother, but the ULTIMATE potential mother-in-law.
That would undoubtedly be intimidating to even most brave and confident of suitors, be it a regular human or demigod, to learn that their girlfriend's mother was the literal Empress of the Gods within her own pantheon. No pressure, sweetie.
Another warm chuckle resonated within her throat as Davina expressed such enthusiasm for visiting her gardens. And now of course, her hands folded neatly upon her lap, Xiwangmu listened to her daughter ramble on with such excitement. "My dearest, if you would feel so inspired as to help tend to my garden, then I would be delighted for your assistance. Though, I also would very much like to see your own floral endeavors."
Laughter bubbled from soft petal lips as Davina's arms wrapped around her waist and Xiwangmu's own limbs naturally folded around her daughter, holding her close. The goddess felt a great warmth and love within her heart, as well as relief at knowing just how affectionate her daughter was toward her. Would they get to see each other a lot? "Without a doubt," she agreed before pressing a tender kiss atop the young woman's head. "Any time you want."
Davina smiled at her mother. Davina knew that she was very inexperienced with the world. The only traveling she had ever done was from Hawaii to Mount Phoenix, and the bulk she knew about the world was learned through her online gaming and excessive consumption to a variety of steaming and Youtube channels. "Traveling sounds nice, but for now, the island is my home. An even better home now that you are here, ma." She beamed, leaning into her mother's touch. "Get married first, and then, I can spent the rest of our lives traveling!"
It was a nice thought. Davina was rather pleased with her life now. Back in Hawaii, she often felt rather stifled, stuck somewhere that she truly didn't belong. On the island, surrounded by growing friends, she saw a future, one that now had the goddess in. "Really?" She pauses for a moment, taking a sip of her drink before launching into an excited ramble. "I will definitely have to come over! Do you need any help with your garden? I have my own little one in my house that I nurture. I can't imagine how nice it would be to have a giant garden!"
Placing the cup down, the demigoddess reached over, wrapping her arms around her mother's waist. Davina had always been rather overly affectionate, and even though the pair was just meeting, Davina could not ignore the connection she felt. All she ever needed was a mother's love, and she finally had it. "We will get to see each other a lot, right?"

âI know that feeling. Sometimes all you want to do is escape for a little while even if itâs your own life that you want to escape.â Elena knew that feeling a little too well. Itâs what she was going through. For some time, she had been trying to escape that feeling. She never felt like she was a good enough friend, girl friend or even sister. Everything had changed the moment she wa pulled out of that car when her parents died. Sh couldnât help but wonder if she never had maybe things would have been better off.

I seem to remember how cosy kol and bonnie were. but I donât think davina wants anyone remembering . And wasnât the last citing of Bonnie when she was caught kissing our prince charming, stefan salvatore? Some say he still thinks about it.

Title: 'Learning to love her'
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x Daughter!Reader
Summary: Elijah learns he has a daughter after being left by her mother one stormy night. And now Elijah has to learn to care for his daughter or stay angry with the woman he once loved.
Warnings: Angst, Fluff, Elijah being an ass
Rain was pouring as a woman ran through the streets carrying a basket with a three month old baby, the woman stopped at the Abattoir's doors where the baby's father was. The woman placed the baby down smiling sadly at her child kissing the baby's head leaving letters in the basket then knocked leaving quickly knowing her baby will be safe.
Hope was bored as she was being watched over by Camille when she heard the knocking so while the blonde was busy, the nine year old went to see who was at the door only to find a crying wet baby.
"Oh, don't worry little baby. I'll help." Hope said hurrying to get the baby inside then into the den using magic to light up the fireplace. Hope got the baby out of her wet cold clothes and wrapped her in a warm blanket. The family returned home to find Hope sitting in front of the fire talking to the three month old and they saw the basket and letters on the table.
"Don't worry Y/N, you're safe now." Hope said smiling holding Y/N's hands as Klaus was the first to move, the hybrid smiled moving down next to his daughter.
"Little pup?"
"Hi daddy, meet Y/N. I think her mommy left her here. There is a letter for uncle 'Lijah too." Hope said showing Klaus one letter addressed to the family while Elijah took the one addressed to him as he stared at the baby girl that was enjoying the attention Kol and Hope was her.
'To my dearest Elijah, I understand why you left, I had came second to your family and I had lied to you. But I am hoping you will love our daughter, Y/N Mikaelson, as much as you love your family. I know you wouldn't believe me that Y/N is yours but my vampire coven sees her as a threat. So please protect and love our beautiful girl. With love always, Natalie'
Elijah threw the letter to the side and looked at Y/N seeing the familiar red curls Natalie had as Elijah couldn't bring hisself to do as his ex lover asked. Klaus and Hayley joined Elijah looking at the letter now thrown on the table.
"Well?"
"It appears that Y/N is my and Natalie's child." Elijah tells Klaus making the hybrid smile while Klaus didn't get along with the younger vampire, the hybrid still liked Natalie and was angry with Elijah for leaving her.
"Wonderful brother, you must be...."
"No. As far as I am concerned that girl is not my daughter. Do as you wish with her." Elijah said walking away as both hybrids frown and agreed to take care of the baby.
Y/N was now six months old and had learned to crawl which was a little annoying to Elijah as Y/N would try to crawl to him or follow him due to Klaus always pointed to the noble vampire as her father. So to get Elijah to step in as a father Freya and Davina set a barrier around Elijah's study where they put the baby girl.
"Dada!" Elijah heard Y/N squeal seeing her standing using the couch to stand and right away he turned around to walk out only to find he couldn't leave. Elijah glared at a smirking Klaus who was way too proud of hisself.
"Niklaus."
"I apologize 'Lijah but it is time for you to be a father. You'll be free in the morning, everything you need to care for the girl is on your desk." Klaus said leaving as Elijah growled angry with the hybrid then looked at his daughter.
Y/N smiled up at her father unaware of what was going on, Elijah hated this as Y/N remained him of Natalie with her red curls but had most of his genes. Elijah had done everything to insure he was never alone with his daughter leaving the girl's aunts and uncles to take care of her.
"Dada." Y/N squeaked as Elijah just passed her taking off his suit jacket and tie seeing that Klaus and Rebekah had took all of his bourbon. Elijah sat down in a chair every much annoyed when he felt little hands on his leg, chocolate eyes met mocha eyes and Elijah couldn't help it when his heart melt seeing his daughter's cute round face.
"You just have to try to win my heart, don't you little one." Elijah said picking Y/N up placing her in his lap watching her play with his hand. Elijah was still annoyed but something about holding his little girl soften him a bit.
"Dada." Elijah was pulled from his thoughts feeling little hands hitting his chest looking down to see Y/N looking at him with big innocent eyes and a smile making him soften for the girl even more.
"Yes little one."
"Cuddle?" Y/N asked as Elijah pulled her close feeling the girl lay her head on his shoulder yawning. It was odd to Elijah feeling his little girl nuzzling closer as he was starting to feel guilty pushing the girl away.
"Sleepy, little one?"
"Ye, dada sleep." Y/N mumbled softly patting Elijah's face pulling a chuckle from the vampire, Elijah gently grabbed her little hand.
"How about you sleep little one." Elijah tells her holding her more securely against his chest and began to hum an old Viking lullaby to lull the girl to sleep.
In the morning Klaus had found Elijah asleep on the couch with Y/N on his chest with a blanket over the girl. Klaus was surprised to hear a low growl from Elijah when he moved to take Y/N from the older Mikaelson.
"Do not touch her, Niklaus."
"Oh? What happened to she isn't your daughter?"
"Clearly I was wrong." Elijah said feeling Y/N pat his chest babbling about food. Klaus watched Elijah soften brushing red curls from Y/N's face.
"Let's get you some food little one." Elijah said getting up carrying Y/N to the kitchen listening to her babbling.
"Your ides worked."
"Of course Hayley but now Elijah is going to be overly protective." Klaus said as he stood with Hayley at the kitchen doorway watching Elijah get what Y/N wanted for breakfast. Of course Klaus was right as Elijah was not far from Y/N always making sure she was in his line of sight.
"I apologize little one, I wasn't being the father you needed but I will be there now." Elijah whispered sitting in rocking chair with Y/N half asleep in his arms as Elijah rubbed Y/N's chubby cheek with his finger.
"Always and Forever, my sweet girl."

Southern Nights
Title: Southern Nights đ
Word Count: 3,500
Warnings: Nightmares, talk about death
Summary: The first night they ever spent together went a little something like this... || Kolvina Short || Here lies my Masterlist
A/N: Here by popular demand on Wattpad. I might do more of these. if requested. Sorry, it's a little short.
The dump motel had been entirely Davinaâs idea, thank you very much. Although seeing as she was the one with the credit card - courtesy of an unwitting Marcel - and considering the fact that he had spent the last three months lying to her about his identity, he didnât feel all that inclined to argue. Hence why he sat on an uncomfortable wooden chair, right next to an extraordinarily dirty window, watching the lightning bugs blink through their midnight waltz.Â
See, Kol Mikaelson had a fondness for New Orleans nights. Eventide in the Big Easy was one of the few things about Louisiana that he wouldnât complain about. (Although that certainly isnât to say he couldnât complain about it. Kol could always find a reason to complain, much to his siblingâs chagrin.) The days heâd spent in New Orleans as a vampire hadnât impressed him. Aside from the shroud of magic that enveloped the city (a quality as torturous as it was enrapturing because while he could practically taste the sparks of sorcery dancing on the thick summer wind he remained utterly incapable of connecting to it - so close yet just out of reach) and the constant roar of Jazz thrumming through the streets like the boisterous laughter of an unhappy man, days in the Crescent city really didnât have all that much to offer.Â
The nights, however? Well, New Orleans nights were something special.Â
It was after the sun went down that the little city by the river came to life. On nights like this one when the sunâs heat took its leave and all the wild things crept from their holes to party the night away in rhythm with the ever-flowing Jazz under the light of the bayou stars. The magic in the air was palpable - thick enough to taste - and now that he was a witch once again he could feel it pulsing in his bones. He had missed such a feeling more than he could say. If it were up to him, he would be outside, simply basking in the connection heâd been deprived of for so long. But it wasnât up to him. Instead, he was stuck inside a filthy motel room because of bloody Claire witches and their fire-inclined temperaments and Davina Claire had spelled the bloody door shut.Â
What a woman. He couldnât even find it within himself to be annoyed. Of course, he could easily undo the spell sheâd used to lock him in, but that would be a moot point as he was actually a willing prisoner in this instance, and leaving this nasty - although admittedly extraordinarily well-warded - room would only make it easier for his mother to pin down his location and attempt to drag him back into her barmy-brained schemes. (That was a big âno-thank-youâ in his book. Alive or dead, Kol would not be his motherâs puppet.) The attention of good oleâ mother dearest was the last thing he needed. Besides, betraying his companionâs albeit minimal trust wasnât going to do him any favors in the eyes of one Davina Claire.Â
He glanced over his shoulder at the sleeping form of the Claire witch curled up on one of the motelâs twin beds, the one closest to him - and the door but that was only natural. He turned his eyes away from her rather quickly, gazing back out the window. For the love of Thor, he wasn't a complete degenerate; he wasn't going to watch her sleep no matter how adorable she may have been in her unconscious state. She'd had a hard day, used up quite a bit of magic, not to mention the minor head injury. The same could be said of him. Kol had no business being awake at such an hour anyway, but he'd always seemed to function better at night. He wasn't a morning person, that was for sure. Falling asleep at one in the morning wasn't uncommon for him, though he considered it an achievement if he managed to drag his corpse out of bed before noon. On the other hand, Davina, at least from what he'd gathered, was more of an 'early to bed early to rise' sort of person. Although one would certainly have to be in order to get the jump on his brother. He smiled softly at the thought. He was glad she'd finally drifted off to sleep, though it had taken him pretending to be unconscious for an hour before she dared to close her eyes. Not that he could blame her; he'd have done the same thing had their roles been reversed.
Bloody hell, she must hate him now.
Kol sighed, dragging a hand through his hair. He could picture the hurt in her eyes when she'd finally seen past his lies. For the record, Kol had never wanted to hurt Davina Claire. If he'd been ready, then maybe he would have been able to keep her out, but she had connected to him faster than he could react and viola, there you have it: Kol Mikaelson's Greatest Hits - The Double Feature. All his secrets, all his lies, all his worst deeds - all arranged on a silver platter. What a lovely way to start a friendship, ay?
"You're one of them," She'd seethed. It was the way she said it and the way she'd looked at him - as if he were the most revolting thing she'd ever seen.
Not that he could blame her.Â
He was a screw-up, plain n' simple. That was all he'd ever been - all he ever would be - just some sick, twisted reject that nobody in their right mind could ever want. A thousand years was a long time and all he could seem to do was fail. Then by some bloody miracle, he'd finally met the girl of his dreams and he'd screwed that up too! Davina Claire was so extraordinary and all he'd wanted was for her to see something - anything - of value in him. That was all he'd ever wanted anyone to see, just something worth holding on to - something worthwhile. Kol wasn't like his siblings, he didn't need all that much, just a little bit - just one person to say one thing to let him know that all his pain, all his torment, all his thousand years culminating with his bloody death - for crying out loud - that it all hadn't just been for bloody nothing! That he hadn't been for nothing. There had to be a point to it all - there just had to be.
And, you know, he'd really tried this time. He'd tried so hard for Davina, because heâd seen her smile from across the street and if there was a point to all his everything, then she was it. If anyone on the planet was ever worth being good for, it was that lovely little witch. Maybe it was a little pathetic of him. After all, he'd seen her smile one bloody time, but that was all it took. Because Kol had died one thousand years before, and there was no magic that could bring him back to life - no magic except for Davina Claire. He wanted to be the reason Davina smiled. He really wanted to be worth that.Â
And he'd tried.
"You liar!"
One thousand years was a long time to spend screwing up. Failure, it seemed, was his specialty.
But for however spectacular he was at failing, he was an expert in trying again. Heâd spent his whole life getting back up and brushing himself off because that was all he could do. Checking out had been fun while it lasted, but at the end of the day, Kol had always been left to âfigure it outâ because the worst thing about being human was a little thing called hope and Kol knew from experience that screwing up could never hurt as much as giving up. He'd already died twice. What more did he have to lose?
That was just it. He had nothing.
Nothing but himself, and something to do with that sick, twisted reject.
Davina murmured something in her sleep. He ignored it at first as he still liked to consider himself a gentleman and giving her the privacy to talk in her sleep was the least he could do. A few moments later, the girl made another small noise - it sounded more like a whimper this time. Kol frowned. Checking over his shoulder, nothing seemed to be amiss, but appearances could be misleading. Davina turned over with a tiny moan, then she huffed and turned back.
"Davina?" Kol hissed, weary of waking her. "Davina, are you awake?"
The girl gave no reply, at least not one he could understand. She huffed again, and then another time and Kol realized her huffs were actually small sobs. Davina was crying. He didn't want her to cry.
"Davina?" He raised his voice just slightly in hopes of somehow being able to soothe her. "You're alright, darling. Just go back to sleep."
The young Claire witch whined and gasped, kicking a little and gripping the sheets with enough force to tear through them. "NoâŠ" She choked out, her peaceful expression contorted into something pained. "No, stop it! Stop it! Stop!"Â
Kol caught the strain of panic rising through her voice and felt the charge of magic begin to build in the room. He was up and moving in the next instant, rushing to Davina's side.Â
"Hey! Hey, Davina! Wake up, darling!" He shook her shoulder once gently, unsure of what else he could do. She just looked rather small in her vulnerable state; he didn't want to do something that might hurt her. Although, as her thrashing grew more intense he was forced to reconsider. Gripping both her shoulders, he shook her firmly, raising his voice quite a bit this time. "Wake up, Davina, you're dreaming! You need to wake up!"
Davina managed to free one arm from its entanglement in her sheets and she used it to bat his hands away. "No! Stop it!" Davina screamed. "Let go of me! STOP!"Â
Haunted witches were dangerous things - experience had taught Kol that much. For someone so young and so powerful, Davina's control was impressive but she was vulnerable in this state, and whatever terror was stalking the Claire witch's dreams would drive her magic to react. He was lucky he sensed the burst of magic before it came.Â
Davina shrieked and an invisible force tore from her chest - a magical discharge powerful enough to cause the ground beneath them to quake. Throwing his arms up to shield his head, Kol murmured a protection spell, gritting his teeth in his effort to hold it as the veritable tidal wave of Davina's magic crashed into this body's meager capacity. (Once again, Kol cursed his mother. Esther knew of his knowledge and capabilities, she knew he was a threat and had placed him into one of the weakest vessels she could find.) The blast from Davina's magic receded, leaving him stumbling as he paused to catch his breath. He glanced around the room, assessing for damage. Aside from exhausting his reserves, Kol had managed to remain mostly unscathed; the motel's mirror, however, was less fortunate. The chair heâd been sitting on only moments before had also been obliterated - blown to bits and he was glad heâd managed to avoid the splinters.
Davina continued to thrash about wildly as if fighting for her life. (He knew what that looked like, heâd seen it thousands of times.) Kol struggled to his feet and moved back to Davinaâs side, shaking her again.Â
âDavina!â He called. âBloody hell, Davina! Come on!â All he got for his efforts was a solid kick to the side as the air in the room began to swirl around them. He swallowed his pain with a curse and sighed, squeezing his eyes shut. Unsure where he pulled the strength from, Kol channeled all the power he had left into reaching out to Davina - into her mind, swirling with fear and chaos. He could feel them - the ancestors of New Orleans - stalking her dreams, keeping her trapped. Esther had corrupted them - they coveted Davinaâs power as did she; they continued to torment the girl for her bravery, hoping to break her. But Kol knew they would fail. Davina Claire was stronger than them; they would never control her again. He could sense her fighting even now, scratching, biting, and clawing her way to the surface. She didnât need his help, she never had, but he would offer it all the same. It was like extending a hand and she didnât take it immediately. âCome on, DavinaâŠâ His power was waning. âYou donât have to do this aloneâŠâ She took his hand
âSurgere,â He muttered.
Davina shot up with a gasp. Trembling and sobbing, her hand flew to her throat as she frantically tried to place her surroundings. Kol raised his hands in what he hoped was a soothing gesture, keeping his voice soft. âShhh, itâs alright, darling. Youâre alright. It was just a dream.âÂ
"I-I know. I just-" She panted, coughing at the dryness in her throat.Â
Satisfied she wasnât going to blast him to kingdom come, Kol lowered his hands and moved to sit beside her, rubbing circles over her back like he used to do when Rebekah had a nightmare. âIt was just a dream, Davina. Youâre safe.âÂ
The girl looked up, those round blue-grey eyes that always reminded him of the morning mist were filled with tears. He saw in her eyes the innocence they both had lost. The tears dripped from her long lashes and Kol caught them with his thumb, wishing he could brush away her pain just as easily. âKaleb?â She sniffed. And he didnât even care that it wasnât his name on her lips. He didnât care because the way she was looking at him was enough. She looked at him like he was worth something.Â
âYeah, itâs me,â He breathed. âItâs me, Davina. Youâre okay.â
Davina shook her head, curling her arms close to her chest. âThey-They were slaughtering us,â She whispered, her voice hoarse.
âBloody hellâŠâ Of course, she was dreaming about the bloody Harvest. He had figured as much but to hear her confirm it just gave him yet another reason to make sure his Motherâs plans failed. âI know. Iâm so sorry had to go through that, Davina. Iâm sorry your ancestors abused you and Iâm sorry they wonât leave you alone but, you know what? Look at me.â She just shook her head and buried her face in her arms. âDavina look at me.â He pressed a kiss to her hair and guided her to raise her gaze. âYou beat them. You beat them at their own game, one you never shouldâve had to play, but you did and you won. You won, and because you won, they will never again have any power over you - not unless you let them. You are stronger than they are, Davina Claire, you always have been and you always will be.â
The girl nodded slightly and sat up, moving away from him. He let her go. âThank you,â She said. Her tone was stiffer than before as she scrubbed her eyes. âYou can go back to sleep now.â
âAh, but we were having so much fun,â He joked, trying to pull a smile from her. She huffed a little but it wasnât exactly a laugh. âDo you want to, I dunno, talk about it? I donât mind staying up,â He continued, trying to be somewhat helpful. He'd never been very good at emotions but he could try, Davina was worth the effort.
âNo.â She shook her head, her mouth fixing into a firm line. âNo, thank you. Iâm fine.â
âAre you sure? I could-â He started.
She cut him off. âNice try, but please just donât.â Her tone was sour and her eyes were back to steel.
Kol sighed. âDavina, I-â
âYou know, I almost believed you just now -â Davina chuckled to herself lightly, wiping the last traces of her tears away. â- But then I remembered that youâre not actually my friend and that youâve been lying to me since the day we met.
He hissed, frowning. âFriend? Way to hurt a manâs pride, love.â
âWhat?âÂ
âWell, flirting isnât usually a platonic gesture,â He drawled, smirking a little.
Davina rolled her eyes. âYouâre still a liar.âÂ
He was. Kol was a liar. He'd been lying for as long as he could remember. He'd lied for Henrik, for Rebekah, even for Niklaus. He lied quite a lot. He was good at it. But, strange as it was, he didn't want to lie to Davina, he wanted to tell her everything. Even the things that didn't matter - the oddest fleeting thoughts he had, he wanted to share with her and he wanted to hear her's in return. Yes, Kol wanted a lot of things with Davina Claire... and most of them were entirely rated PG.
âWould you believe me if I said Iâve lied more for you than I have to you, darling?â He asked. Though he didnât let her answer. âAnd youâve lied for me too. You couldâve ratted me out to Marcel today, but you didnât. You trust me, Davina Claire, even if you wonât admit it.â
Her face betrayed nothing. She only sighed and dragged her fingers through her hair. âJust go away, Kaleb.â
âItâs Kol.â
âKol âŠwhatever, just go.â She turned over, facing away from him, signaling that this was the end of their conversation. Kol stood up rather reluctantly, moving over to the other bed and laying back.
The night was still dark and nature was alive outside, but it was quiet in the room. Kol knew she wasnât sleeping, knew she didnât intend to for the rest of the night. He knew she was just going to tough it out because she thought she had to. It wasnât fair - he didnât want her to suffer the same way he had. Kol knew what it was like to die - no one in his family had mentioned it after the fact. It was sort of a taboo subject, nobody brought it up and everyone suffered. But Davina shouldnât have had to do it alone.
âI have âem too,â He spoke into the darkness. The Claire witch gave no reply but she shifted and Kol took that as encouragement enough to go on. âNightmares, I mean. You would think that after all this time they would fade, yet I still dream about it. Itâs like a loop in my head, canât seem to make it stop.â
Her voice was so quiet that he almost didnât catch it. âWhat do you dream about?â
âThe night I died.â A wry smile stretched across his face. âThe first time, not the second, mind you.â He heard her laugh just slightly. âI wonât say I know how you feel, Davina. But I remember how I felt. I remember that lingering cold and that sensation that feels as though youâre floating while your body feels like itâs too heavy to bear. I remember that. I told you we're Kindred Souls and I meant it⊠Youâre not alone.âÂ
âDo youâŠDid it hurt?â She whispered. He couldnât see her face but, oh how he wished he could. Her voice was soft, tentative. âDo you remember the pain?â
âYes.â He replied. The girl was silent for a few moments, and Kol waited, simply listening to the cicadas buzzing outside. He didn't expect her to say anything. She didn't need to. He didn't sleep either, electing to stare out the window instead and watch the stars begin to fade.
âKaleb?â
âHmm?"
âHow did you die?â
He sighed. Of all the questions he supposed hers was the only one that mattered. âI died running," He began. "I was running to warn my siblings, and every time I think; if I had only been a little bit faster, perhaps things would have been different⊠I guess Iâll never know.â His tone was rather calm as he spoke of his death. It was soft and almost detached but reminiscent as well. âMy father ran his sword through my back - missed my heart, though. I died slowly. The minutes ticked by and-and every breath was agony. I felt helpless, scared, and alone, unable to move, unable to die - half drowning in my own blood and no one was around and no one knew and I knew that my siblings were only minutes away from the same. Yet, I could do nothing but choke and die⊠Itâs strange to feel yourself bleed out, isnât it?â
âYeah,â She said, her voice the same as his. She said: âI didnât like it very much.â
âNeither did I.â
Minutes drifted on. The sky gained a little bit of light, but only enough to turn the sky from black to grey. Davina still had more questions.
âKaleb?â
âYes?â
And she asked: âDid you scream?â
And he said: âNo.â He told her: âI wanted to. I tried a few times but all I heard was silence. See the movies have it wrong, you canât scream when stabbed in the back. I tried and I tried, but I couldnât. There was no one around to hear me anyway.â
âWhat did the sword feel like?â She wondered.
âIt was metal,â He answered. âIt was cold.â
âKol?â
âYes?â
A pause.Â
âThis doesnât mean I trust you.â
Kol just chuckled. âGuess Iâll have to keep trying, love.â
âGoodnight,â She said.
âSweet dreams, Davina Claire.â
Kol Mikaelson and Davina Claire would spend quite a few nights together after that, and he'd be saying those words every night for a while, whether the girl herself was there to hear them or not. Though neither of them knew that yet, it was alright, because - be it the magic or the company - those hot summer nights in New Orleans were something special.

A Bourbon Street Wedding
Enzo St. John x Mikaelson! Reader
Part 4 of 4: ( Part One, Part Two, Part Three)
Words: 3859
Summary: The big day has finally arrived. You couldnât have asked for anything more perfect.Â
Notes: I canât believe itâs been around 3ish years since I started this series. To anyone out there who is still reading, thank you! This is the final part in my Enzo and the Originals Series and I really hope you guys enjoyed. Thank you so much for reading! Warning: So much fluff ahead. Lovey dovey fluff, family fluff, just all kinds of fluff.Â
-
The New Orleansâ sound did not wake you up. It was the feeling of someone looming over you as you slept that crept deep into your slumbering mind and forced you awake. Your eyes fluttered open and you screamed. Caroline stood over you, hands on her hips and rage in her eyes.Â
âHow are you still sleeping?â She shrieked yanking the covers off of you. You groaned and turned your head to look at the alarm clock. âThe wedding is only seven hours away! We need to get ready!â Enzo rolled over, covering his ears with his pillow. Caroline grabbed your hand and Enzoâs arm and dragged you out of the bed. Â
âCaroline, I appreciate how much youâve done to help, but-â Enzo started groggily. Caroline shoved a bag of hair product at him and pushed him out into the hall.Â
âDamon got here earlier, heâs waiting downstairs for you.âÂ
âBut-â
âNo, buts, we are already way behind schedule.â Caroline huffed. Her planner-face calmed and she smiled at both of you, stepping to the side so you could look at each other. âAlright, you two. This is it.â The last time you would see each other before the ceremony. You just stared at Enzo, speechless. Neither of you could even begin to know what to say, so you just laughed nervously. Caroline slammed the door. âOkay, letâs do this.âÂ
Bonnie, Rebekah, and Hayley all burst into the room. Hayley pushed play on the stereo and music blasted, mostly cheesy romance songs that Caroline had insisted upon. Bonnie popped a bottle of champagne and Rebekah toyed with your hair while Hayley and Caroline talked about their daughters.Â
âHope is staying with her grandmother this morning. Mary is bringing her later.â Hayley explained.Â
âRicâs staying with the girls. He sends his best.â Caroline announced. You nodded and smiled. Alaric was your friend, despite his complicated relationship with the rest of your family. Then again, most of your friends had a complicated relationship with your family. Caroline scowled. âStefan has elected himself as the selfless martyr who will not be attending so he doesnât âcause a sceneâ.â She rolled her eyes. You took her hand swinging it back and forth playfully.Â
âYou deserve better.â You noted. Bonnie raised a glass.
âAmen to that.â She handed out the drinks and the morning passed by with many giggles and indecisive arguments over what color lipstick you should wear. When all was settled, you were cast into a frenzy of makeup and hair curlers until Caroline declared your look to be âjust rightâ.Â
Meanwhile, downstairs, a reluctant vampire stood outside the gate, tempted to turn around and run as fast as he could in the opposite direction. Of course, the first person to greet him didnât exactly put his mind at ease.Â
âDamon SalvatoreâŠâ Klaus chuckled darkly. âWhat a pleasure to see you again.âÂ
âNiklaus.â Elijah called from inside. âDo stop frightening the best man.â The oldest living Mikaelson came out and stood by his brother. âHello Damon.â Damon gave the pair a reluctant wave. The magic witchy Mikaelson- one that Damon didnât even know existed until now- invited him in and the three lead him to the room where Enzo was getting ready. Damon death-glared him as Freya went upstairs and the brothers stood on either side of him, like minions of death.Â
âPlease tell me youâve got bourbon.â He grumbled, side-glancing the two originals, waiting for one to pounce. Enzo watched in irritation as Damon threw his stupid, trademarked leather jacket onto the chair. Kol glared from his spot on the sofa.Â
âI thought weâd already gone over the guest list.â He sneered. âI wouldâve made sure that this-â
âBehave yourself Kol.â Elijah warned.Â
âItâs nice to know none of you have changed.â Damon snarked, snatching up the bottle of bourbon on the side-table. He poured himself a drink and downed it quickly. âAnd neither has your taste in liquor.â Enzo growled.
âYouâre here for a reason, Damon.â He groaned. âYou already missed the bachelor party, now please, do something helpful.âÂ
âYou missed one hell of a night, Damon.â Kol smirked, licking his lips.Â
âYeah, I heard about those call girls going missing.â Damon noted. âIâm surprised at you, Elijah. I never took you for one of us miscreants.â Elijah kept up his stoic expression, his tone betraying his slight annoyance.
âI refrained from last night's activities.âÂ
âHe was absolutely no fun.â Klaus whined. âLovesick fool. Hayleyâs practically got him on a leash.â Kol and Klaus both snickered. Elijah shook his head, but couldnât stop himself from smiling. He really was a lovesick fool, not that he was ashamed to admit it. And with Davina and Cami both gone, he didnât reprimand his brothers for their partying.Â
âI believe that I was not the only so-called âbuzzkillâ at the party.â He pointed out, his eyes on the groom. Damonâs jaw dropped.Â
âEnzo?â He fake-gasped. âHas our blood-thirsty party man finally turned into a hopeless romantic?â Enzo rolled his eyes and shrugged.Â
âJust because Iâm not a brute, doesnât mean Iâm a hopeless romantic.â He smirked. âUndeniably in love, yes. But not hopeless.âÂ
âI think Iâm going to be sick.â Kol pretended to gag. âYou remember youâre speaking of my twin? I know a couple secrets about her you would not find so romantic.âÂ
âKol.â Elijah scolded. âWe wouldnât want Lorenzo getting cold feet now would we?â
âYes because then I would have to remove them.â Klaus threatened, casting a dark look to the groom. Enzo gulped and began to tie his tie over his pristine white shirt. Elijah had picked it out, which meant that it was the best money could buy.Â
You both looked perfect. After all, this was the biggest moment in all your centuries of living. The girls gathered around you and let out a collective sigh of awe. This was it.Â
The guests were beginning to arrive and you felt your heart pounding, wishing that you could be with him to calm your nerves. But of course, itâs bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the ceremony and with your shared history of weddings, you needed all the luck you could get. And so you waited, tapping your foot at an alarming speed and trying to take deep breaths.Â
âEverything alright dear sister?â Kol wondered with a smirk, leaning against your doorway. Caroline, Rebekah, Bonnie and Hayley were all getting ready to be the perfect bridesmaids and Freya was preparing to officiate the wedding. She had been so excited when you asked her and you couldnât think of anyone else you wanted to say the words âI now pronounce you husband and wifeâ.Â
âWhat could go wrong?â You looked at your twin and smiled nervously. Kolâs face suddenly darkened.Â
âWell I can think of something.â He growled. You turned to see who he was looking at and gasped. Kol stepped towards Marcel. âI donât recall sending your invitation.âÂ
âI just came to tell Y/N congratulations.â He held up his hands a sign of peace. âI donât want to cause any problems. Not today.â Kol continued to loom ferociously over Marcel until you stepped in between them.Â
âKol, why donât you go make sure that Klaus hasnât killed any of the guests? I donât want a single speck of blood on him when he and Elijah walk me down the aisle.â You were able to shoo him away before he could object, turning back to Marcel with fiery eyes. âOf all the days you decide to make amendsâŠâ
âIâm not asking for your forgiveness for not telling you I was alive all those years.â He started. âIâm asking you not to hate me. All I want is for things to go back to the way they were before everything happened. We were pretty close friends, you and me.âÂ
Thick as thieves, more like it. While Marcel was like a son to your older brother and a lover to Rebekah, he was always one of your dearest friends. You were devastated when you believed your father had killed him. When you discovered he was really alive, you were both relieved and furious. All those years and never once had he reached out to find you. Seeing him stand before you now erased all of your anger.Â
âYou say it like Iâve forgotten.â You cried, pulling him into a hug. âThank you for coming, Marcel. You donât know how much it means to me.â You pushed away with a small smile on your face and tears in your eyes.Â
âHey,â He comforted, placing a hand on your cheek. âWe canât have you crying before the wedding.âÂ
âWould you stay?â You pleaded. âPlease, Marcel. It would make this day even more perfect.â He gave you a look.Â
âCan you promise none of your siblings are going to try to kill me?â
âYou know I canât.â You both laughed and he agreed to stay, sneaking down into the courtyard where the ceremony was taking place. With him gone, you were alone again and the unstoppable nerves returned. âCome on, Y/N. You have faced centuries of trials and vicious enemies. Youâre just-â
âPledging to spend the rest of eternity with someone with probably as much emotional baggage as yourself?â Klaus finished, stepping into the room. Elijah had managed to get him into a suit and he completed it with his famous mischievous grin.Â
âShouldnât you be downstairs with Elijah?â You put your hands on your hips.Â
âOh come now, donât be so cross. It is, after all, the happiest day of your life.â He replied smugly. âI simply wanted a word with you before the festivities begin.â He led you to sit on one of the sofas, taking your hand in his own.Â
âWhatâs this about, Nik?â
âI know that I have been⊠difficult these past centuries.â He smirked and you couldnât help but laugh in agreement. âThe truth is, Y/N, that I am completely afraid of losing your love to someone else. But I have seen the way you are with Enzo and I simply cannot bring myself to take it away from you. I may be a selfish bastard, but even I do not wish to see you unhappy. I wish you the most joyous life, Y/N.âÂ
âKlaus,â You placed a kiss on your brotherâs shoulder. âMy love for you will never falter or diminish, no matter how much of a thorn in my side you are.â He gave you the loving smile that you often wished to see more of. Klaus was troubled and all you hoped for was that one day he would find the kind of happiness you had found with Enzo.Â
âYou look stunning.â Elijah noted from the doorway. He held out his arm. âShall we?â Klaus and you stood and the three of you walked down to where you would be entering. Caroline and Bonnie would be first, then Rebekah with Damon, and Kol insisted on announcing you like some kind of queen. You were pretty sure he just wanted to get a laugh out of the crowd before you walked down the aisle. Of course, it was just nice to have your twin want to take part.Â
You could feel yourself trembling as Caroline and Bonnie started walking. Rebekah and Damon were bickering even as they began down the aisle. You took shaky breaths and felt Elijah chuckle.Â
âEverything is going to be fine.â He assured you.Â
âYou know, itâs never too late for me to kill him.â Klaus whispered and you elbowed his side. Kol gave you one final smirk before heading out to the front of the space.Â
âLadies and gentlemen!â He greeted. âYou are all here to celebrate the union between Enzo St. John and my beautiful sister, Y/N Mikaelson. Us being twins, I could share a great deal of stories about Y/NâŠâ He looked back towards you and you glared at him. âBut that will have to wait until the reception. Now, without further adieu,â He had an exceptionally smug smile on his face now and you couldnât help but roll your eyes at his final words. âHere comes the bride.âÂ
Enzo finally was allowed to turn around as the music began to play. His heart leapt and his breath hitched. You were the most gorgeous thing he had ever seen. In fact, gorgeous wasnât even the right word for it. Nothing could describe how you looked as you walked towards him. As if his eyes alone had calmed you, you felt your nerves wash away and the brightest smile spread across your face as you took the first step down the aisle. The faces of your closest friends turned towards you and with each step, you felt emotions bubbling up inside. As you reached the end, Klaus gave you a wink before taking his place beside Damon, removing a stake for his pocket.Â
âKlaus!â You hissed. He gave you a mischievous grin.
âCouldnât resist.â He said, Damon taking the stake from him. Elijah lifted your veil and you felt a tear roll down your cheek. He smiled and wiped it away, placing a kiss on your forehead.Â
Freya beamed at you as she greeted the crowd and thanked them for coming to witness your union. Enzo couldnât take his eyes off of you. The ceremony itself was simple and you and Enzo stared into each otherâs eyes the entire time.
âMay I have the rings?â Your oldest sister asked. Damon handed Enzo your ring and Rebekah handed you his. âThe couple has prepared their own vows.â Freya nodded for you to begin and you took a deep breath, taking both of his hands in yours.
âThe first day we met, you were trying to kill my best friend. However, just a few years previous so had I.â You laughed through the tears now freely falling down your face. âI thought that the only promise I would make was to my family. Our code of always being there for each other, and although it has been tested- multiple times-â You shot Klaus a look. âI want to extend that to you. I promise to love you and to protect you and cherish you. Always and forever.â You slid the ring onto his finger and laughed to yourself, wiping away the tears. You looked into his eyes to see that he was crying too.
âI didnât know what it was like to be loved.â He began and for a moment you thought heâd blubber more than you had. He always was a romantic. But he composed himself as best he could. âUntil I met you. You saw past all of the bloodshed in my past. All of my pain and anger. You had had your fair share of hurt over the years and you decided to take a broken soul and mend it. You saved me.â He took a deep breath, feeling a tear roll down his cheek. âAnd I plan to spend the rest of our lives trying to repay you for the love that youâve shown me. Always and forever.â He put the ring on your finger and you both laughed at how emotional you both were. Freya smiled.Â
âWhat are you waiting for? Kiss her.â The crowd erupted in applause as Enzo dramatically pulled you into his arms and lowered you into a dip before kissing you for the first time as your husband.Â
-
The reception was held at Rousseauâs, which was heavily decorated with roses and lights to the point that it no longer looked like a bar, but something from a fairy tale. Again, the handy work of Caroline. Klaus watched Caroline from his seat at the head table as everyone waited for you and Enzo to arrive.Â
âNow that Lorenzo is officially family, I recommend you donât give him the same treatment that you gave us for the past few centuries.â Elijah straightened his cufflinks with a smile, giving Klaus a side glance.Â
âOf course not, Elijah. The daggers don't work on him.â Klaus grinned mischievously. âAlthough, thereâs always the crypt in the basement.âÂ
âDonât even think about it.â Rebecca chimed in. Elijah looked across the table to Hayley, feeling a deep desire to one day have this with her. To have the happiness that his sister was now experiencing. Hayley saw him and smiled, her eyes lighting up his soul, or whatever was left of it. Perhaps one day...
The doors opened and the newlyweds entered. You still couldnât quite believe it. In all your years of living, you couldnât think of a moment when you were half as happy as you were now. Enzoâs fingers were laced with yours as you walked towards the main table, seeing the smiles on your friends and familyâs faces. The guests cheered as you took your seats. Dinner was quickly served and it wasnât long before Rebecca stood, tapping her glass with her spoon to get the roomâs attention.Â
âAh yes, it is time for the dreaded speeches.â She announced with a smile. âBeing the maid of honor, I am obligated to speak for my dear older sister. And since I have over a thousand years of stories, it was difficult to pick just one. I succeeded however, in finding a memory that I believe best describes my sister.
âShe and Elijah were the only two to escape Klaus without being daggered and shoved into a box.â She gave Klaus a brief glare before continuing. âIn the late 1800âs, when I awoke, many things had changed. People I loved turned their back on me.â Her eyes came across Marcel, but didnât linger for long. âElijah reintroduced me back into society, but it was Y/N who helped me nurse a broken heart. She made me believe in my own strength again. Y/N showed me the love that only an older sister could. I am beyond delighted that her heart has finally found its equal.â She looked at Enzo happily and feigned a scowl. âBut know that should anything happen to her, you will not only have my brothers to worry about.âÂ
âDuly noted.â Enzo nodded, his hand having never left yours. All eyes were now on the best man. Damon took a long drink from his glass and stood reluctantly.Â
âThere isnât a lot I can say about Enzo before him and Y/N met. When Enzo and I first knew each other we were prisoners. We were trapped together, tortured together, and experimented on.â You felt Enzoâs grip on your hand tighten at the memory. âWhen I got my chance to escape, I took it. I betrayed him. Decades later, he swore revenge on me and tried to kill my girlfriend.â Reading the confusion in the crowd, he smirked. âDonât worry, this bromance has a happy ending.âÂ
âOf sorts.â Enzo whispered to you and you both laughed quietly.Â
âMy point is that Enzo hated my guts until Y/N got him to forgive me. I believe her words were âThere are better ways to spend an eternity than seeking revenge. Especially against an old friend.â Anyway, here I am and here they are, so I guess we all know the end of that story.â Damon glanced at you and despite his usual smirk, you could see the sincerity in his eyes. âElena was always rooting for the two of you to end up together, so that meant I have to too.â The crowd chuckled at his last comment, but you stood up from your chair and pulled the snarky vampire into a hug.Â
âThank you, Damon.â You whispered. âI miss her too.â You felt him return the embrace and smile sadly against your cheek.Â
âShe would have loved this, you know. All the gushy romance and twinkling lights.â He said, fixing a hair that had fallen out of place and tucking it behind your ear. You nodded.
âYouâll have this with her someday, Damon. And when you do, I will be the one giving the speech.âÂ
âOver my dead body, Mikaelson.â He snarked. âBut I guess is Mikaelson St. John now. Jeez, thatâs a mouthful.â
âSit down, Salvatore.â You shook your head in amusement. As you went back to your seat beside your husband, you noticed a member of the wedding partyâs chair was empty. A rush of panic shot through you. âElijah, whereâs Klaus?âÂ
All of your siblings turned to the vacant seat and their eyes widened. Everyone started to split up to go find him before he could cause any trouble.Â
âIâll go get Caroline, she went to the bathroom.â Bonnie said, taking off in the direction of the restrooms. You and Enzo decided to check the kitchen but were not at all prepared for what you would find. Sure enough, there was Klaus. And Caroline. On the counter. You quickly shut the door, trying to contain your laughter. You took Enzoâs hand and headed back to the table, grinning like an idiot.
âWell itâs about time.â
-
As the night slowly died down, Enzo clinked his glass to acquire the crowdâs attention. Everyone focused on him as he stood, shooting you a bright smile.Â
âMay I have everyoneâs attention? First and foremost I would like to thank each of you for coming out to celebrate this wondrous occasion. Some of you are from this beautiful city, and some came all the way from a small town called Mystic Falls.â He turned to Damon and smirked before returning his loving gaze to you. âBut to end the night, I wanted to say a few words to my new wife, Y/N.â You felt the blush rise to your cheeks and the warmth rush over you.Â
âA few months ago, I discovered who my family was. As it turns out, after a century of searching and hoping, they turned out to be a bunch of thieves and betrayers. No resemblance to me, Iâm sure.â The room laughed. âIâll admit that I was crushed. But now, the Mikaelsons have accepted me into their family, some more willing than others.â Klaus shrugged with a smirk, still flushed from his little rondevu earlier.Â
âI almost had you.â He teased. Enzo continued, holding his hand out for you, lifting you to stand beside him.
âNone of this would have happened if it wasnât for the brilliant, caring, incredibly sexy-â he winked and you giggled, âmost wonderful girl that came into my life when I thought I had no reason left to live.â You laid a hand on his shoulder, feeling tears start to well up in your eyes as they started to in his. âShe made me see that maybe there was a slight shred of hope in this eternity we were both stuck with. Y/N became my world. A world I would do anything to protect.â His hand slipped into yours. âNow we may have our disagreements, and Iâm sure we have a long road of bickering and evading certain doom.â He held up his glass in one last toast for the night. âSo hereâs to one hell of a forever.â

Title: Unwrapped gift
Word count: 1.3k
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x Female!Reader (But is more about Kol Mikaelson x Friend!Reader and Young Hope Mikaelson x StepMom!Reader)
Warnings: I wanted this to be a thing but I think I missed the whole point, so it may be just a lot of nonsense together :)
A/N: I may edit it later, I just wrote it and Iâm sleepy, so... I hope you enjoy it tho đâš
Thanks for reading! If you liked this, please consider like, comment and reblog! âšđđ„ș
âOh, here you are, Y/N,â Kol said, âMy brother is looking for you,â He entered the room to see what I was doing, âIâll tell Nik youâre taping your present.â
âIâm wrapping it.â
âThereâs more tape than wrapping paper, luv,â He said, chuckling.
âShut up, I'm trying,â I said before curving my lips, keeping my eyes on the present I was trying to wrap an hour ago.
This was going to be my first Christmas with the Mikaelsons and, more important, with my boyfriendâs six-year-old daughter, who seemed to hate me since the very first moment she saw me.
Hope was a cute little girl. Everybody loved her, I included, and she loved everybody, except me. For some reason, she didn't want me around, and I couldn't live knowing that, so... My goal for Christmas was to give Hope the best gift and win her affection.
âI don't think my niece will care about the gift wrap, Y/N,â He said, looking at me with a stupid smirk on his face.
âWell, I donât care what you think.â
âIt looks terrible.âÂ
âShhh.â
âJust give her the gift unwrapped.â
âKol, Iâm tryi-!â
âI would hate it if someone gives me that rubbish for Christmas.â
âI just wanted this to be perfect!â I yelled, punching the pillow at my side with frustration before hiding my face in my hands.
The gift was a tiny painting lectern with some little canvas, but with the wrap looked like an enormous ball of paper. It was a disaster, I couldn't give her that for Christmas.
Some tears fell from my eyes, rolling down my cheeks and falling on the bedsheets. Later I felt Kol sitting next to me, rubbing my back up and down to calm me.
âY/N, I didnât m-â
âNo, itâs ok, it's just... Today was a mess,â I said with a weak voice, still hiding my face in my hands, âFirst, I woke up very late,â
âYeah, I see why it was a bad day,â He said, nodding. Everybody knew how bad it was if something messed up my routine.
âYes, I also burned the food for tonight, so I had to do it again,â I said, taking my hands off my face, âAnd then my dress didn't fit me, so I had to fix it but I couldn't finish it because I had to go to pick up the presents,â I looked at him with my soaked face, âBut then the old man at the store didn't want to give me my things, I don't even know why,â I sobbed, under his concerned gaze, âAnd when I got home, I finished everything but I forgot to wrap the present,â I said, patting my legs, and looking down, âI thought it wouldn't take much, but look at me now...âÂ
âI know how important this is to you, Y/N,â He said, âAnd I know youâre a control freak too,â I looked at him, pouting, âSometimes things donât go our way, and all we need to do is take a deep breathe and try again when weâre calmed, or just let go,â
âHave you tried any of that?â
âNo, but I heard that from a tv show once,â He said, making me roll my eyes, âLook, Iâm sure Hope is going to love you... Eventually, with a wrapped or unwrapped gift,â He smiled at me, kissing my cheek.
âDo you really think that?â I asked him.
âWhat happened with âI donât care what you thinkâ?â He raised an eyebrow, âBut yes, I believe what I said,â
âThanks, Kol,â I said with a brief smile.
âWhat are brotherâs in law and friends for?â He said, getting up from the bed and walking towards the door, âWeâll be waiting for you downstairs, so hurry.â
Immediately after the vampire left the room, I unwrapped the gift. He was right, the wrapping paper didn't matter here, I just stressed myself more and more.
I got out of bed to put on my dress, makeup and hairstyle as quickly as I could, which was about twenty minutes. I picked up the little lectern with the canvases and put a red bow on them, and went down to where everyone was, except Hope and Hayley, who I heard were still getting ready.
I went to the tree and left the gift there. I smiled to myself, realising that the little girl wasn't even here the whole time, so I could have simply put the gift behind the tree without her seeing me so that the gift would continue to be a surprise.
âYou look ravishing, loveâ my boyfriend, Klaus, approached me from the side, placing his hand on my waist, drawing me towards him, leaving a kiss on my neck.
âThanks, darling, and you look so handsome,â I replied with a smile before we headed over to where everyone was drinking and chatting.
Later, the little person who wanted to see the most came, calling everyone's attention as she entered with her cute and fashionable ponytail. She greeted everyone with a hug, happy to see her uncles, aunts and her father. The moment she saw me, her smile turned into a straight line and she only greeted me with a wave of her hand before running off into her mother's arms again.
Klaus hugged me knowing that it discouraged me, and whispered to me that soon she would feel comfortable with me, that she was shy, that it was not my fault, that I had to give her a little more time... Things that he already had told me, but I couldn't get on my mind.
All night I tried to interact with little Hope, I offered her food, offered her some of her toys if I saw her getting bored, offered her to choose a song she liked to put on the speaker... But she just ran the other way, or she would stare at me like I was annoying.
When it was midnight, we all gathered around the campfire as I had been told was a family tradition and make wishes. My wish was quite obvious: I wished I could get along with Hope one day. After making that beautiful wish, it was time for the gifts, and the little girl was very excited about it.
Hope got all the gifts, of course, she was the spoiled and dearest girl in the house. Her face of happiness when seeing all her gifts made my heart melt.
Rebekah and Marcel gave her stuffed animals, which she squeezed a lot. Elijah and Hayley gave her a toy she seems to have asked for a lot all year. Klaus gave her a portrait of her and a family heirloom that left her astonished as any six-year-old girl could. Freya and Keelin gave her a kind of giant dollhouse, in which she didn't waste a second entering and greeting all of us from the little window. Kol and Davina decided to give her some little witch things, which made her very excited, and she placed them in her dollhouse right away.
Now it was my turn, and I was very nervous. They had all been splendid gifts, and I only had one painting stand. With some insecurity, I put my gift in front of me and she looked at him carefully with wide eyes.
âIs it for painting?â She asked me, speaking to me for the first time that night. I nodded with a warmhearted smile as I stepped back and hugged Klaus. She smiled, approaching the gift, touching it with her little hand. âAm I going to paint like my daddy?â She asked and looked at me with a smile from ear to ear when I nodded again. She jumped with excitement and ran to hug me, thanking me.
A few small tears gathered in my eyes when I returned the hug, and my gaze went to Kol, who nodded as if to say 'I told you so'. Hope let go of me and ran up the stairs screaming that she would find her paintings and do a portrait of all of us.
The best Christmas in the world.

and all the magic we made (13/20)
-
Love, they say, is as tragic as it gets. The pain he feels from letting her go tonight, is the same measure as the love he feels from getting to see her earlier. Itâs made him a better man, this thing called love. Itâs made him a father, a potential good one at that, or so he believes.
âNik,â and just like that, all his relief and peacefulness is crushed.
Elijah Mikaelson opens the door to his hotel room, a big grin plastered on his lips and a glass of wine in hand.
Passed him, Klaus can see Rebekah and their eldest sister Freya, painting their nails while sitting on his bed. As Finn, their eldest brother as well as their youngest brother Henrik, sitting on the ground, playing video games.
Thereâs loud music, and laughter, and all the Mikaelson siblings stuffed together in one tiny room.
And itâs like it never was.
âYou know,â Klaus chimes, walking passed Elijah and heading inside. âWhat I donât get is,â he sighs, âwhy are all of you in my room when you sure as hell can afford to not only rent your own separate rooms, but buy this entire estate while youâre at it?â
Elijah simply smiles, shaking his head. âWell,â he says, âwe could, rent our own rooms that is but, this is much more fun, isnât it?â
Klaus sighs, his brother was clearly drunk, otherwise, heâd never use the word âfunâ so casually.
âWhy are you all here anyway?â He wonders.
Elijah follows him inside, carefully closing the door behind him. âKol invited us,â he sings. âHeâs throwing a party, which calls for a sibling reunion, so it must be something important,â he informs Klaus - making him wonder what other surprises lie in store for him.
-
The invitation to Kolâs party travelâs throughout the town - from close family and friends, to even acquaintances, everyone seems to be hearing about this auspicious event.
Hayley Marshall looks through all her clothes - leather jackets, worn jeans, a revealing red dress or twoâŠand thatâs it.
She swears she must own something that is Mikaelson ball worthy.
And money is so tight this month that buying a new dress for herself, let alone for Hope, was almost impossible. Unless she gets lucky at the thrift store.
The thought of asking Marcel for help suddenly crosses her mind - heâs been there for her through it all. Through Hopeâs terrible twos, last minute babysitting requests, even helping with late night laundry shifts.
She knows he feels strongly about her and spending more time with him might give him the wrong idea but, heâs her best friend. Heâs the one she calls when she needs anything.
Itâs so hard realizing that he can no longer be that person.
-
The theme is blue, pink and silver - blue for the way she looks when she finishes her favourite record and the emptiness that overcomes her. Pink for the way her cheeks tint when she sees a dog on the street. Silver for the small hints of it in her eyes - for that thin line down her back that shines in the light.
âCâmon Finn!â Kol exclaims, angrily glaring at the flower arrangements his older brother had just brought in. âI asked for carnations, these are begonias! Now everything is ruined!â He shouts, storming off.
Finn sighs, in disbelief. The dining hall Kol had rented out was large enough to accommodate half the town - and just everything from the satin table cloths, to the ice sculptured swans, heck, even the carefully written down name tags were just perfect.
But, Kol couldnât see any of that.
Not when Freya was messing with the food table, again, and Rebekah was flirting with one of the waiters - Henrik being Henrik, was sneaking a peek at the cake and KlausâŠwas nowhere to be found.
âBrother,â he hears, as he stands outside the hall, exasperated.
âElijah,â Kol said. âI canât take another stressful situation so please, if this is about tonightâs event, do me a favour and -â
âItâs not about that,â Elijah confirms, which allows his brother to breathe easy for a moment. âWell, maybe a little bit,â he smirks, âI just want to know aboutâŠDavina.â
Kol bites his lip, suddenly feeling a bit nervous. âWhat about her?â
âJust,â he shakes his head, taking another long look at his dearest younger brother. How much heâs changed, how much heâs grown. âAre you sure about this?â
He shakes his head, leaning his back against the brick wall behind them. âOf course I am,â he tells him, âI wouldnât do all this if I wasnât.â He assures Elijah.
And, truthfully, thatâs all the resolve he needs. Elijah may be the overprotective type but, the one thing he will always be sure of, is that he trusts his family.
He trusts Kol.
-
âSparkly,â Marcel says - catching her as sheâs stepping into her new shoes, Jimmy Choo Cinderella heels in rose gold.
âThanks,â she shrugs, feelings so unlike herself. âKol picked everything out.â
âRight,â he nods, âabout that, do you know why Kol is throwing this party?â
âNo idea,â she says. âMaybe heâs trying to impress you?â
âMe?â
âWell, you are like the closest thing I have to a parent,â she reminds him. âAnd he never got your approval while we were dating - â
âMy approval?â Marcel scoffs. âWhat era are we in? Davina, youâre an adult, you donât need my approval,â he releases but, something tells him that he might end up eating his words by the end of the night.
It takes Davina a moment to notice Marcelâs get up - a fitted light grey suit, a red tie, gold cuffs.
âDo you have a date for tonight?â She wonders.
Marcel is caught off guard. âWhy do you ask that?â He questions.
âI-I just,â she knowsâŠsheâs known for years.
Heâs been in love and tonight, he was finally going to tell her.
Hayley Marshall was sure in for a long night.
-
His timing is impeccable - just when Hayley is about to call to cancel on her appearance tonight, there is a knock at her door.
She hears Hope running to it, and she swears, this child will be the end of her. She still hasnât learned never to answer the door to strangers.
But, she had an instinct - she knows when her father is at the door. Even though she didnât even know he is her father in the first place.
âKlaus!â She shouts, as he then places a finger in front of his lips, shushing her.
âI brought you and your mommy a present,â he simply says, âgive to her for me, will you?â He requests as she nods and he makes his way back to his car before Hayley appears.
She only catches a glimpse of him as he leaves.
âHope!â She shouts. âHow many times have I told you not to -â
âOh wow!â And, before her mother could even finish scolding her, Hope had already torn into the mysterious box and pulled out two gorgeous red gowns. âItâs dresses! And matching shoes and purses!â
She giggles, smiling widely from ear to ear - which, much to her motherâs dismay, allows her to put aside her anger for the time being.
Hayley admires Hope as she jumps around, trying on hew new slippers - holding the gown up against herselfâŠshe just looked so happy.
âTheyâre lovely,â she realizes. âWe better hurry and get dressed up, Hope. Or weâre gunna be late.â She smiles.
-
âHey Hayley, itâs Marcel - well, you already knew that. Anyway, so this Mikaelson party tonight is probably gunna a total eye roll. I was wondering if you, and Hope, wanted to make things a little more bearable tonight by being my dates? Let me know, call me back, please. I miss you.â
His breath is heavy as he puts down his phone.
Now all he has to do is wait - the anticipation might just kill him.

â what does one do with life when one expected to be dead â
"HOW DOES IT FEEL? To be alive, after all these years." Kol asked, eyes barely meeting Aniya's as they sat on a park bench. They had agreed to spend the day watching for strangers, any person that wouldn't mind having a sprinkle of amnesia in their lives. After a while the silence had gone deafening, and Kol decided to speak.
Aniya looked back at him, somewhat shocked that he had bothered to ask about her condition. She shifted in her seat. "Truth be told, I do not know what to do with the life I hold in my hands. It's as if someone has handed me the moon."
"Didn't you ask for this? To be immortal?"
"No. My father did." She said, looking down at her hands. She and Vihaan had questioned his beliefs once, and only once. It was the day that their father held their hands over a fire, and asked who would save them if not the gods. "And what of you? How did Esther create the spell that turned you into vampires?"
"She didn't create it. She found it, after Henrik was attacked by the wolves one night." He'd said it so casually, it might have gone over the average person's head; but Aniya had known him all his life. "Mother dearest murdered my ability to practice magic that night. About a decade ago, she stuck me in the body of a witch, but I was promptly killed by Finn shortly thereafter. Such a shame. The body was quite handsome."
He paused, then added, "Of course, not quite as handsome as me. But it did do the job."
She lifted an eyebrow slightly. "You would give your immortality to be a witch again?"
"You may have given your life for immortality, but I never wanted this. I was perfectly fine dying at the fine age of thirty years old," He sent her a smirk, and she rolled her eyes. She turned her attention back to the humans walking in front of them. Across the street, an old man and his wife, wrinkly and discolored, hair the color of salt and pepper.
"It is a wonder how humans learned to live so long. Perhaps my father wouldn't have forced us to into those rituals if he knew humans could become so... weathered."
Kol laughed then, and Aniya found herself smiling at the newspaper Kol had set down on their laps. After a moment, he asked, "You truly can't read?"
"I've learned a bit," She admitted. Henry had helped her, using a few pictures books he'd created and never published. Elijah had repeatedly offered her private tutors, but the situation had never been ideal. Even compelled humans would ask questions eventually, and there was something discomforting about allowing a stranger to see her weaknesses. She'd been a gifted witch once, a prodigy; and she had lost to something as simple as American tongue. "I do miss runes though."
"You'd be the only one," Kol responded. She narrowed his eyes at him in annoyance, and he simply shot her a smile. He turned his attention to the humans. "So, we've sat here long enough. Who will we put out of their misery and erase twenty years worth of memories?"
"How about one of the weathered ones?" She suggested. "They've been alive quite long. Surely they won't miss a decade or two."
Aniya had given eighteen years of her life to a set of rituals. Given her life for the sake of her parents. A few memories in exchange for a taste of her old life -- it was a small price to pay. Regardless, humans were never meant to live so long. They were in pain now, surely. Growing weak and inching closer to Death with each passing moment. To walk the streets and see the youth, see all they had lost.
Perhaps she would be putting them out of their misery. Granting them the ability to forget all they would never have again.
She stood from the bench and made her way towards an elderly man only a few feet away. Kol leaned back and watched the girl smile brightly, encapsulating the man in a short conversation about passing birds.
"I can't remember the last time I'd seen a creature so beautiful." She knelt down, though the bird hopped a few steps away. Her brown eyes dimmed for a moment, and Kol felt a heavy weight on his chest as he watched the little bird move away from her. As if it were repulsed.
"Yes," the old man nodded in agreement. His voice was aged, in a way that even Kol found himself pitying him. "Your generation is so glued to those phones. Rarely even feed the birds anymore."
"My generation," Aniya squinted her eyes. She was very much his elder, and Henry had tried to show her how to use a phone only a few days ago. Unfortunately, the very concept had gone over her head. "Yes. I agree. My brother, though, he used to care dearly for these creatures. Often found him climbing trees and feeding them leftover scraps."
She spoke fondly of her brother. It was hard not to. No one had a heart quite as big as his. No one dared to. The world was never made for one as beautiful as him, and yet there she stood, desperate to gain her strength and revive him.
  "What was his name?"
Aniya hesitated. Her mother had always said names carried power. "Victor. My name is Annie."
"It suits you," He commented. The man's blue eyes sparkled with kindness, and she felt her stomach drop. "I hope he takes care of you."
"You needn't worry. My brother was quite the protector," She shrugged off his comment, eyes quickly shifting to the street in front of her. She pushed herself off the ground and focused her eyes on a nearby lamppost. "And what of you? Do you have family? People that care for you?"
"My wife, Betty. She cared dearly for me," The old man chuckled. He pulled out a small leather rectangle, and Aniya lifted an eyebrow at the gesture. Carefully, he unfolded it and revealed a black and white photo of a young couple. A blonde woman with molded curls and a young man beside him, in a perfectly tailored suit.
The man slipped the photo out and turned it around. At the bottom right corner was a jumble of letters. Aniya leaned forward to see the lettering, and after a few moments, the man said, "Betty and Edwin. Our wedding in the fifties."
Aniya's faced soured and she looked away, as if she'd just tasted something terrible. From across the street, Kol lifted an eyebrow. She took a breath.  "Where is she now?"
"Died of long cancer twenty years ago. I miss her everyday." He said, his voice tainted with nostalgia. Aniya bit the inside of her cheek, a pit in her chest crawling up her throat. Edwin carefully tucked the photo back into his wallet.
"And you love her to this day? Your love for her, it never died?"
"In my experience, love never dies."
"How do you love someone you're sure you'll never have again? How can you bring yourself to love something so unbearable?" Surely he would give in. Surely he could bring himself to forget her. How much she would give in return for amnesia. In another world, she might've belonged to Henry and Henry alone.
Edwin shrugged. "I'll see her again. It's only a matter of time."
It was then that she felt something snap. A switch in her mind, flipped, and exchanged for something much colder. Ice rushed through her veins as she stared at the man, and her mind was made up.
Kol would one day see his Davina once more. Edwin would see Betty, and the world would continue to spin, as she stood paralyzed and alone. Even Henry would leave her eventually. She had only one insurance, one promise that would never leave her: Vihaan.
"I truly am sorry." Aniya placed a hand on the man's shoulder and whispered a spell beneath her breath. The man's eyes glazed over, and static ran through her veins. She took a step back and raised an eyebrow, ignoring the sense of euphoria that overwhelmed her. "Raise your left hand."
  He obliged.
"Drop it. Raise your right hand."
He obliged. She had control of him.
"Give me your wallet. Go to Lafayette Cemetary and ask for Keres." The man, stripped of his willpower and sense of self-control, handed her the small leather object and walked away in a daze. Aniya swallowed and shoved the rectangle into her pocket. To her left, she felt a slight breeze, and Kol stood by her side.
Kol watched the man wander away, a brow lifted as Aniya gulped. "You hesitated."
"I'm ripping away an innocent man's free will because we made the mistake of getting married. My apologies if I'm not all that ecstatic about our situation," Aniya muttered. She huffed, shutting her eyes tightly as she turned on her heel.
"Well, lucky for you, we only need two more. I found a poor bastard in the cemetery last night. I'm sure no one will notice he's gone," Kol announces proudly, hot on Aniya's trail as she walked away from him.
"We shouldn't be preying on the innocent, Kol. Especially not men who are mourning their loved ones!"
Kol huffed and sped in front of her, raising his hands to stop her from crossing him. She sent him a warning look, and he sighed. "This one deserves death. Trust me."
She had been given no reason to trust him. In the weeks since she had come back, not once had Kol given her proof that he was worthy of it. Frankly, he's gone lengths to prove the opposite; but somehow, as she stared into his aged, tired eyes, she found herself wanting to believe him.
And so, she nodded, for once giving into his antics. "All right. I suppose we'll just have to find a few more and send them to Keres. I'm sure it won't be that much trouble."
Regardless, she couldn't seem to ignore the heaviness of her chest â the guilt she carried, knowing she had just sent a man to be stripped of his free will. Her parents had tried desperately to rip her of these emotions, trained her to see human lives as game pieces. Ones that she would have to dispose of once they no longer suited her. Her father had told her to embrace the electricity that ran through her veins when she practiced dark magic, but what was meant to surge of power had become nothing but a parasite. This power had turned her into nothing but a monster.
  "Kol?"
  "Yes?"
"What did your siblings and father exchange for immortality?"
He stopped walking then, his feet glued to the sidewalk. For a moment, his amusement faded, but it was quickly hidden away with a smirk. It occurred to Aniya that she might have hit a nerve. "I'm a vampire, darling. Haven't you caught up on the mythology yet? Watched a few scenes from Twilight? I've heard Robert Pattinson is quite dashing."
"Well, yes, but I'd like to see the truth. I'm not sure how much of that I'm going to find in pop culture." She crossed her arms over her chest and took a step toward him, looking up at his aged, tired eyes. "Show me."
"You're a stubborn little thing, aren't you," He murmured. He sighed then, leaning back against a nearby lamppost.  Aniya came closer as he shut his eyes, and black veins crawled from beneath his eyes down to his cheeks. His eyes opened, revealing a pair of blackened irises and red, irritated scieras. Kol bared his teeth, displaying his sharpened fangs. When Aniya didn't flinch, the monstrous features crawled back into hiding, and Kol's curious face remained.
Then, she smiled, almost satisfied with her discovery.
"Was there any particular reason you wanted to see that, or were you just exhausted from staring at my gorgeous face for so long?"
"Is this typically how you flirt with women in the twenty-first century?"
Kol shrugged then, straightening his back and heading back in the direction of the Abattoir. Jealousy seemed to spike at Aniya's chest, as she walked a few paces behind him. How wonderful it must have been to be loved by something that hates all else. To be loved by what was perceived to be a monster.
She pulled the wallet out of her pocket, running her fingers over the faded photograph. She wondered to herself what might have happened if the Hollow has awoken Vihaan, as opposed to her. He might have been stronger. More willing to sacrifice the lives of several humans in exchange for the life he once had; but then, she wondered if he would have been more willing to give up on a marriage that had so clearly died. He would have been willing to sacrifice it all to ensure that she was back on Earth.
"I'd like to have this mission finished by the end of the night," Aniya revealed, her fingers tugging at the ring around her neck. "We'll find the nearest elderly person, and send them to the cemetery. You'll have your memories returned by midnight, and I'll have the evening to myself."
"You're going to see your human."
  "Is that so bad?"
  He hesitated. "I suppose not."

ALSO FROM THIS POINT ON I WILL BE WRITING IN FIRST PERSON BECAUSE WRITING YOU/YOUR IS WEIRD TO ME.
'Hotch says we have a case. Carpool?' 'Of course Spencer.' I text back. What would I do without Spencer Reid? I head out of bed and get ready. I step out of my apartment and get greeted by Spencer holding two coffee cups. "Here you go they didn't have your usual so I improvised. Hope you don't mind." He says kissing my head. "No problem. Do you have any idea on what the case is about?" I ask stepping into my car and start it up. "Not sure but Hotch said it was important." He says sipping on his coffee burning himself in the process. I hum in response and drive to Quantico to start off my day. I park my car and grab my coffee heading inside with Spencer. I enter the bullpen, set my stuff down and head to the debriefing room. "This one hits close to home baby BAU." I hear Garcia say as I enter the room. "What is it Pen?" I question. "Well hun this case is in New Orleans, Louisiana. Five people were found exsanguinated in the French Quarter. But the freaky flipping turn and twist is that once the M.E went to do what he does the bodies were not there anymore." Penelope says flipping through the pictures. "Excuse me for a second." I say standing up and head outside to call my older brother. "Elijah what is going on back home?" I immediately say. "I was just about to warn you our dearest Niklaus has gotten himself into what you would call a major problem. On something he swears he didn't do." Elijah responds. I rolled my eyes at his words of course it had to be Klaus. "Is everyone else okay?" I ask switching my tone of voice. "They are perfectly fine." He answers. I try to listen to what the team is talking about but I just hear Hotch say "Wheels up in 30.". I quickly shove my phone in my pocket as I see the team exit the room and head to grab my go bag. "Fill me in on the jet." I tell Spencer as we step into the elevator.
We step into the jet and settle down reviewing the files. "So what's the M.O?" Derek asks. "There's no racial preference or age preference on the victims. But none of them know their attacker. And the cause of death in all are blood loss like they were drained." Rossi says. "But if they were drained how are they walking now. It makes no sense." He continues. I look down at the file then stare out the window. Klaus what did you get us into? "You okay?" Spencer says sitting down next to me. "Yeah sort of. Stuff like this never happens in New Orleans." I lie. "Hey at least you can see your family." He says smiling at me. "Yeah hopefully." I smile softly looking out the window. "You can see them with me if you want too, Spence, they'll like you." I say turning towards him. "Are you sure? You've told me stories about your brother and sister. I seem so plain compared to what they've been through." He asks. I hear his heartbeat race. "Look Marcel and Davina will like you. They like everyone." I tell him resting my head on his shoulder. I close my eyes feeling bad for lying to him. I couldn't tell any of them I was a Mikaelson so I just told them I was a Gerard and that Marcel and Davina were my brother and sister. I shift to stare out the window. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket.'We are thoroughly screwed -Rebekah.' I quickly type 'Why what happened?' 'Nik is out of his mind and quite frankly I'm not surprised seeing as he's costing us our secret.' She replies. 'I'll be there shortly make sure he doesn't kill.' I type back and shove my phone in my pocket.

We enter the police station and a detective immediately walks up to us. "Hello I am Detective Mallory Greenwood." The lady says holding out her hand. "I'm SSA Hotchner, this is SSA Rossi, Jareau, Morgan, Prentiss, Gerard and Dr. Reid." He says introducing all of us. I wave at her she seems so familiar. We set up our stuff and start working. The detective comes into the room. "I have a hunch it can be a certain family. They cause so much trouble but are never caught." She says walking towards Reid and I. ``Okay we can use that but we won't go on it without sufficient evidence. Just tell us their names." I say smiling at her softly. "The Mikaelson family. They used to cause issues in this town but they have ties so it sweeps under the rug."She says looking at me intently. "How are you so sure?" I say glaring at her slightly. "Well bodies have popped up previously and they would be tied to the French Quarter then the Mikaelson household. Stuff like this used to happen back in an area they used to stay in, what was it called, right Mystic Falls it's near Quantico. Sad you guys haven't heard about them. Sheriff Matt Donovan knows a lot you can call him in." She says then exits the room. Spencer turns to me "That was weird." He says. I hum slightly at what he says. How dare she. "Hello? This is Dr. Spencer Reid and I'm calling about a series of killings that used to happen in Mystic Falls." Spencer says to his phone. "I will put you on speaker." Spencer says setting his phone down on the table, and puts his phone on speaker. "Okay Matt now." I say. "Y/N?" Matt says surprised. Spencer turns to me but I wave him off. "We went to high school together." I whisper to him. "Okay so what do you want to know?" Matt questions. "The names of the Mikaelson family. Specifically any of them who would potentionally commit serial crimes." I say. "That sounds like them all. Okay anything else?" He questioned. I can hear him enter a different room. "They would be close but far away from law enforcement." Spencer says. "That sounds vaguely of Klaus Mikaelson." Matt says, sighing. I tense up slightly, Spencer catching my movement immediately. "Are you-" He starts. "Thank you Matt, you've been a great help." I cut him off and walked out of the room. I walk through the station and head outside. I quickly pull out my phone and dial Klaus' number. "Sister, what occasion does this phone call assist?" He says answering. "You need to be careful Nik." I say quickly. "Great, you are finally up to speed. Will you be the magical sibling that believes me?" Klaus says bitterly. "I'm not going to say I believe you 100% Klaus but I will trust you if you say you didn't do it." I say sighing. "Who are you talking to?" I hear a voice say behind me, I immediately hang up the phone. "No one Detective." I say coming face to face with Detective Greenwood. "Look warning Klaus won't help." She says stepping towards me. "Capitis Dolorem.''She says, putting out her hand causing a searing pain to go through my head. I heal instantly but it continuously happens. She moves her hand down as I drop to my knees the pain slowly going away. "I know you're a Mikaelson hybrid, but do they know?" She says stepping in front of me. "What one are you? The werewolf original vampire or witch original vampire." She says. "The witch one which also means when this is over I won't need an invitation to kick your ass." I spat at her standing up and headed back inside. I immediately get pulled to the side. "Are you involved in this case personally?" Hotch says sternly. "No sir." I say quickly. "Reid asked Garcia to check the Mikaelson family and your name shows up." He says. "With all do respect Hotch my last name is Gerard yes I do know the Mikaelson family but not in the way you're accusing." I say walking away from him and enter the conference area of the station. âCould they be lying?â I hear JJ say to Hotch. âThey can compromise the investigation if they're involved.â Hotch says. Fine, I wonât be a part of it. I quickly gather my stuff and look around to see if any of the team is looking at me. Everyone seems busy. I take out my badge and gun, setting it down on the table.I pull out my phone and call Rebekah and she answers surprisingly fast. âYes?â She questions. âMeet me at the French Quarter in about five minutes.â I say before I hang up. I step outside and check my surroundings and check back, they are all still busy. I speed off to the French Quarter and wait for Rebekah. âHello stranger.â I hear a voice say. âHello blonde.â I say turning around to see Rebekah and immediately hug her. âWhat brings you here?â She asks letting me go. âI think our brother is being framed.â I tell her as we walk over to Rosseauâs for a quick drink.
