while rory and jess were dating we only saw their arguments and reconciliations. i can't believe that we saw their date (?) scenes only while she was dating dean.

“If I need to keep my lawyer on hand, just let me know,” Grandpa informs me while I retouch and readjust my hair and makeup respectively, in front of the mirror’s hall. I had a date tonight, with Tristan Dougray. Grandpa had wanted to say no, but mom and grandma talked him into letting do this. Yes, I was only thirteen, but I had to start living at some point.

I snort. “Grandpa, please, we’re just going to the movies. Besides, Lane and Todd will be there as well. Don’t you worry.”

He sighs.

“You’re growing up too fast. Next thing I know, you’ll be telling me I have great-grandkids.”

I make a face. “Oh, gross. No, Grandpa. No great-grandkids for many years.”

But he would have loved Richie so much. And Jess. He would have taken one look at Jess and nodded approvingly. They would have bonded over their love for Hemingway and ancient manuscripts. And, after Jess left, he would turn to me and say, yes, Rory, that boy is good for you. I just knew he would.

A long-awaited reckoning, a decision that determines a future, and closure all around!!!

doing my 684957th rewatch gilmore girls and figured i'd type up some plot ideas inspired by some of the ships from the show. feel free to hit me up if any interest you and we can expand on them.

lorelai gilmore x christopher hayden — muse a and muse b have known each other their entire lives, it feels like they were always meant to end up together but of course life is never that simple. the two can never seem to be on the same page in life and when muse a seems to have their life together, muse b is out trying to find their grounding. even though things never work the way either one wants it to, they always seem to find themselves coming back to one another. when muse b says they finally have everything figured out and ready to start a life together, muse a isn't quick to believe them. is it real this time or is muse a going to be left heart broken once more?

lorelai gilmore x luke danes — muse a is a single parent who moved to town around fifteen years ago when their kid was still a baby and trying to keep everything together when they met muse b, a local who has never left the small town and the two begin an unlikely friendship over the next several years. the two couldn't be any more different - muse a is bubbly, warm, and energetic while muse b is grumpy, grounded, and rough around the edges but muse a brings out the softer side in muse b whenever they need something from him. although everyone knows there is something there, neither wanted to risk their friendship until muse b finally made the first move.

rory gilmore x dean forrester — muse a has lived a sheltered life and never been in any kind of relationship until muse b enters their life. although this is the first time either of them has been with somebody, they instantly connect and things just come easily. that is until muse b says 'i love you' to muse a who doesn't know how to respond and things begin to feel real. will they be able to navigate things or will this young love be doomed?

rory gilmore x jess mariano — muse a has always been seen as the sweetheart of the town they've lived in their entire life who has never gotten into trouble until they met muse b, someone mysterious and quiet who randomly showed up in town one day. although the two come from completely different worlds, an unlikely bond forms and they realize they have far more in common than they ever expected. even if nobody in towns understands either one of them, muse b has so much baggage they don't know how to manage and muse a isn't entirely sure how they can help.

rory gilmore x logan huntzberger — muse a is as straight laced as they come, they do everything they're supposed to and never try to take a risk. that is until muse b enters their life, who is from one of the wealthiest families in the country and the arrogance to come with it. muse b has no concern for rules or consequences and slowly brings muse a out of their shell and to try and have fun for once in their life. muse a can't help but fall for them but is this all just a game to muse b?

rory gilmore x tristan dugray — muse a has just started their first year at an ivy league college and slowly being sucked into the gaudy world of those who come from old money, like muse b. at first neither can stand one another and muse a wants nothing to do with muse b who seems to be in most of their classes and the two are constantly running into each other on campus. it isn't until muse a sees muse b in a vulnerable state that they can even begin to see muse b in a different light. is it all just pent up frustration or do opposites really attract?

A/N: Hello everyone this is my crossover AU. Of when Sam Winchester meets Rory Gilmore! 

Chapter Preview:

Madison, Wisconsin; 2001, 11:45pm

I stared out the dust covered window of the impala as we pulled up to a house; that had obviously been abandoned for a long time. The once bright blue paint that covered the entire house now, was now a grimy dark blue that had stated to peel off the side of the house in the duration of all those years unattended. I took a deep breath in and let it out through my nose, as dad parked the car and turned off the ignition. I could feel my nerves starting to get the better of me, and then Dean turned around from where he was sitting in the front seat.

"Alright Sammy, it looks like it's just another angry spirit that doesn't know when they are not wanted on this plane anymore. So, we'll just burn up whatever they're attached too and that'll dust em." Dean grinned back at me and checked his watch for the time. "And it's only 11:40, so that gives us plenty of time to go in, send this ghost to hell and make it just in time to grab a slice of pie at that diner back at the highway entrance, that's open till midnight." Dean said in a giddy voice, rubbing his hands together.

We exited the impala and huddled around the truck of the car, while dad pulled out the duffel chock full of weapons.

Rory and Dean's first meeting is so cute. Honestly, I loved them in the earlier episodes. The beginning of their relationship is so bittersweet because we all know how shit it becomes later on :/

So, I recently rewatched the first few episodes of GG and was reminded that once upon a time, Dean didn’t totally suck. He was fine until around their first breakup (which I supported both sides), then they got back together and I dunno what happened there. 

Jared Padelecki is such an awesome dude and I love him, but I hate Dean. I think even he hates Rory and Dean. He ships Rory with Jess, actually. Him and Milo are adorbs.

Chapter Preview:

When I got back down from Fran's apartment and out onto the front of the store, I began making my way down the street towards the diner. As I walked I began to take in all of my surroundings and get a better look at some of the things happening around Stars Hollow. I noticed that all of the shops that I passed were small businesses; mom and pop types. There wasn't a single Walmart or big chain store in sight, it's like this place has been completely untouched by big corporate business. Each of these little stores even had hand painted window displays, all of the colors of the wordings looking bright and clean, almost as if they had been painted on today. As I continued walking down the street, I noticed that there was a cluster of people gathered in what seemed to be the middle of the small town, where the large white gazebo rested. Everyone was gathered around the gazebo which held a bunch of boxes, and people were pulling out various colored Christmas lights, giant maple leaves, large plastic pumpkins, scarecrows and other various assortments of decorations.

This must be one of the festivals that Fran was talking about. Or maybe they just go this hard core for every season?

As I continued walking down the street, trying to not look like some suspicious creeper as I checked out the busy bee townspeople, who were all busy decorating their stores for the approaching Autumn season. I also tried my hardest not to just stop and burst out into laughter as I saw quite the spectacle happening under the gazebo. Which was that a rather portly looking old man seemed to be yelling at a smaller and thinner younger man. The older man was yelling at the younger one who was on a ladder arranging golden autumn leaves, twining them together with white lights under the gazebo's ceiling. The older man seemed to disapprove with how the younger man was arranging the leaves/lights display
