I don't know if this is accepted here, but usually on his birthdays, the artist collects his work so that as many people as possible can distribute it, but I'm not really here for that. Collecting my works, I was so surprised when I realized that I managed to do so much in my year. Time is so strange. Looking at the drawings, one gets the feeling that each work is more than two years old. So much has happened. With many drawings there is some kind of association, some kind of event, as if it were a very long time ago. But only one year has passed. We can achieve a lot, friends. I am sure about that.

#aria rants#for all my chateau posting... itd truly be over for me once i start writing fanfic for a book that exists as small bits#of information in a game that isnt even about the book at all im just insane bout it#like fanfic wise-- id like to be able to write a story bout how pierre felt when he betrayed everyone and how everyone#(esp josephandre and lady irene) felt when they were betrayed and then write a story bout how they all reacted when pierre#sacrificed his castle and endangered themself to save josephandre when the wound of betrayal was still fresh#so now the team not only saw a friend turned foe turned friend again possibly get into a near death experience#in the span of just a few days after the big betrayal and now they have to see the guy (gender neutral) one foot in deaths door#like-- lady irene would be SOOO ANGRY but an anger that stems from concern mostly and maybe thats also the moment#josephandre loses his cool too-- like what if josephandre for most of the story was collected and is rarely seen distressed#but the many emotions whirling through that moment and the moments before it just clashed and BOI he just loses it#....... yeah its all over yall i wanna write cursing of chateau castle fanfic now

#plot-wise mostly#imagine a game designed like inquisition but it's awakening......#you have advisors and a war table would make sense and you've gotta get a bunch of recruits#but it still makes sense to be doing the bulk of the work yourself because you're the commander (and arl) and you're rebuilding the ranks#i wish you could mod inquisition as well as you can mod origins because i would absolutely commit myself to remaking awakening in dai#da#dao#dai#personal#i occasionally see people talking about how cool an origins remake would be and if they included awakening in that it'd be SO cool#and amgarrak would also make sense as part of awakening as like. a similar kinda thing to the descent#witch hunt not so much because you can leave at the end. i guess it'd be better postgame like trespasser#ive thought about what i could do with origins as a dai mod because you've already got redcliffe#but modding dai is so hard beyond superficial dialogue or texture changes#they dont have a broodmother model tho. and i dont think they have anything even remotely similar#nor desire demons. cowards#anyway im not saying all this because it's something im planning. it's absolutely not. im not getting into dai modding it sucks#but back to the actual post.#like it would MAKE SENSE that you're collecting requisitions and that you dont have a team doing all the exploring for you#you still find quarries and logging stands because you basically do that for wade anyway#the blackmarsh and wending wood could be really cool as larger and more involved areas (as long as they actually had stuff to do)#so would kal'hirol. i just mean in terms of open outdoor environments#vigil's keep could have more than one room lmao#they could have done that in the original too but also.. it was an expansion not a full game. im more thinking about its potential#how would you go about expanding the plot to make a full game then?#i guess each of the three major quests would have to have more going on and also have more side quests in each area#(as long as they're actually interesting and not just miscellaneous collection quests)#they could add romances but then....what do you do with anders? they couldnt really make him romancable for both hawke and the warden-cmd#if you increased the size of awakening you'd probably add more companions i guess? the main games all have ~9

Hey y'all! Weird question time again! Do you have any recommendations for anything that can monitor your heart rate on the go with like real time updates? I'm looking for something like a pulse oximeter, but that works for people with poor circulation in their fingers (I have a pulse oximeter and sometimes it works and sometimes I confuse it and it panics and spits out random numbers lol) I do have a blood pressure cuff, but I'm looking for something that works faster and while moving, so that I can keep an eye on it when I'm doing things like exercising or climbing stairs (on bad days) so I know when I need to stop before I hit the "uh-oh" level of tachycardia.
#the person behind the yarn#tj asks weird questions#medical mention#on bad POTS days it can help when I'm just doing things around the house#like...130 bpm after climbing the stairs isn't great but I can ignore it#150 bpm after slowly climbing the stairs I need to sit down for a bit and let it crash back down#before it crashes back down while I'm standing and takes my blood pressure with it#that's not quite an accurate summation of what happens if I keep standing when my 'just standing in place' bpm is in the 150s#but idk how to describe it except 'feels like bad' and 'might fall down'#but sometimes it's hard to tell a standing bpm in the 130s from the 150s before hitting the fall down point#for the record 160s bpm just standing is 'sit down right the hell now. right where I am. do not walk to a chair do not collect go sit down'#where those categories fall numbers-wise varies from person to person I'm sure#but that's pretty much where it breaks for me

Sis and I (finally!) treated ourselves to the full set of HoME, as well as the new Fall of Numenor book that just came out (because Alan Lee illustrations and actually having all Second Age things in one place), and I think we have officially run out of room on our dedicated Tolkien shelf.
unofficially, personally, I think we can squeeze in at least 4-6 more, depending on size, but don’t tell her I said that
