So I just saw something about an S&H related event that’s coming up in May…

Tickets are really expensive and it’s also taking place in California, even in my dreams I could never attend this event.

But what struck me is THIS part:

“This will be the last public appearance for PMG commemorating his role as Starsky.” I have no doubts in my mind that this is due to David Soul being gone now. I imagine it just isn’t the same celebrating Starsky AND Hutch, without Hutch. :,( that makes me sad tbh.

Anyway. I’m definitely not attending. But is anybody here planning to?😨? I’m curious!

hii i need to consult fandom again. starsky and hutch people, i wanna watch ur show but the only place to watch i've found so far has no subtitles. and due to accents and audio quality and my not being a native speaker i can't understand like 25% of whats being said. if theres a google drive or something somewhere (cannot use illegal free streaming websites or torrenting because german media piracy laws are insane. read up on it if you wanna read something stupid) that has the show with english subtitles it would be sooooo beautiful. i would kiss you on the mouth or high five you or something. thanks ♥️

Favorite S&H thing is Hutch’s S4 disillusionment. I HATE that it’s not explored more because frankly it is The Good Shit as far as character stuff goes. “This badge has polluted me just about enough”. The way he nearly teeters into vigilanteism. Personally I think it partially explains why he’s such a rotten bastard in “Starsky vs. Hutch”. Not to mention how much darker some of the S4 episodes are, comparatively speaking. Also there is something to be said for how his appearance changes. The way he goes from clean-cut and stylish with the respectable haircut and leather coats to long-haired and mustachioed, often wearing the same bowling shirt for several episodes in a row. You know I hate when he and Starsk are abrasive towards each other but in season 4 it seems a hell of a lot more tragic. Inescapable. How tantalizingly horrible is it that the more jaded Hutch becomes with his job, the more violent he seems to become? And in “Sweet Revenge”, when Starsky’s death is almost certainly imminent, it all collapses in on itself. His glowering demeanor is tinged with exhaustion; you can just see it. “You gonna kill me?” He’s so resigned!! It’s so fucking good!! David Soul knew what he was doing and tbh the writers should have pushed it farther. There is so much thematic potential with having half of your lovable duo become unrecognizable with resentment at a system he’s festered in for years and cannot manage to escape without becoming an even more monstrous version of himself.

And the yaoi. Won’t somebody please think of the yaoi????
