it's hard to put into words how much I love this short film? have you ever been depressed? have you ever used those depressive feelings to make art? it's absolutely tragic how obscure this is when I think it's the kind of thing so many people need to hear. on paper it's a story about a girl named Emily who has nightmares about a monster called the hound, a monster that hurts and torments her but that she doesn't want to get rid of. but it's deeper than just that. it's beautifully told and animated and acted, the use of color especially is incredible. please watch this short film.
