What I'd like to know is how high Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin themselves were when they decided to give George Dent an accidental ecstasy high and put him on a train with Dave Charnley and a drunk Helen Cooper, then proceed to give him a pineapple to stroke and and told him to lick the tie of the man next to him.

Nobody will care but Drop the Dead Donkey sexuality headcanons check:
(n.b. this is just my opinion please don’t take it too seriously and the show doesn’t even have a fandom so it doesn’t matter anyways lol)
George - straight. depressingly so. someone please check up on him he’s very desperate
Alex - we’ve seen her only dating men but I can see her being bi? I mean like I could see Helen and Alex worked actually pretty well? So yeah bisexual, but pretty balanced
Helen - lesbian. it’s canon. we stan
Damien - ok comes across as a straight initially but I actually think ace and aro. boy did a full on speech about how love is bullshit and he can’t imagine dating. maybe I remembered that a bit biased but.... yeah acearo Damian plz
Dave - again, very straight. sorry if you ship Damien and Dave (I did for a hot 2 seconds for my sins) but no our boy is a big straight simp. I want to say himbo but he’s a dick (someone go fight him and George for how they treated Helen)
Henry - again, straight. maybe got pissed and kissed a dude once but is only into women. gives elevated Douglas Renholm energy.
Sally - also has the big straight. will fuck any man, according to canon apparently. and ya know what, you go girl, do whoever you want. we would stan if it weren’t for her personality
Gus - 100% gay. or on the ace spectrum. not at all into women. I will fight on this. our man has a shit ton of internalised homophobia and tries a couple times to get a female companian he doesn’t gotta fuck so he can appear straight and not lonely. protect this lonely stressed out gay arsehole
Joy - bi. I’m very biased bc she’s hot but I can see her being either straight, or bi but mainly into dudes

Plumes
Classical indie pop crossover group Plumes have released 3 critically acclaimed albums since their eponymous debut in 2012. They were formed in Montreal and have been based in Paris, France since 2014. Their latest single ‘When I Walk In’ displays their passion for blending pop and classical sensibilities, with Satie-like piano (can you spot the quotation?) and romantic viola supporting Charnley's most intimate vocals to date. Listen below.
Anna Katarina
Anna Katarina is a Canadian-American Indie-Pop/Americana artist known for her euphonic voice, bold lyrics, and diverse songwriting. Katarina is also one-half of the Indie-Folk duo Rumour Mill. Her debut solo album is expected mid-2022 and transcends genres into a lush sonic soundscape reminiscent of Kacey Musgraves, HAIM, and Kathleen Edwards. In the meantime, she has released a new single, ‘Let You Down’ which is a collaboration with Vancouver-based artist Chris Sol, and was recorded and produced by JUNO-nominated artist and producer Shawn Hook. While the pandemic halted the music industry and brought us indoors, it also brought together this debut musical collab between emerging Canadian-American songwriters. Together, their indie-folk roots coalesce to yield a fresh pop sound akin to Little Big Town, Taylor Swift and Lady A. Inspired by the paradox of shared isolation, the lyrics portray a dialogue between ex-lovers who are alone, together, and trying to move on. The production features a genre-blending arrangement of guitars, slide, piano, and drums—which will soon be followed with an acoustic edition, scaled back to an elegant pairing of plucked guitar and sweeps of cello, with an entirely distinct feel. Listen to ‘Let You Down’ below.

Modern Moxie
Modern Moxie is an indie pop/rock band based in Charlotte, NC. Hailing from a small South Carolina town, multi-instrumentalist Madison Lucas took up songwriting in college, mostly confined to her dorm room closet. By 2011, she found herself with enough songs to make an album, and wanting to move forward with her musical endeavors, teamed up with producer Kenny McWilliams (Archer Avenue Studio) and Dave Harris (Studio B Mastering) to release her first effort entitled the bedroom ep. By 2013, Lucas had found a partner in crime, bassist Harry Kollm (Time Sawyer, Asleep in the Weeds, Jon Linker Band), who’s varied veteran experience propelled Lucas to get serious about forming a full band, thus bringing Modern Moxie into existence. Lucas and Kollm spent the next four years going through a series of line-up changes, working together to capture Lucas’ essential drive to get the melodies she heard inside herself out into the open. The duo spent this time kinetically writing, correcting, and transforming dozens of original songs, performing now and again, but mostly keeping Modern Moxie as a side project. After marrying in late 2017, Lucas and Kollm spent their first year as husband and wife recording sporadically with the bedroom ep producer, Kenny McWilliams, to create an LP together, a labor of love called Claw Your Way Out. Late-night at a 4th of July party among fellow musician friends, Lucas eagerly shared a newly recorded song, ‘Light + Sound’. Guitarist Phil Pucci (Pullover, Serfs, Landless, Ernie) was instantly smitten by Modern Moxie’s knack for song structure which had their signature effervescent pop melodies floating over the distorted fuzz of angst-ridden guitar. Pucci (who coincidentally officiated the couple’s marriage) joined Modern Moxie shortly after hearing the track and brought along original Serfs drummer Charlie Weeks to complete the current and solidified line up.  Their new EP Gutter Honey was written and recorded during the pandemic and it's about filtering through the sludge of life to find beautiful things. “Songs about being alive and doing our best with what we have. Music is one of the only ways we know how to express what it's been like these past few years and we hope the album connects with others.” Listen to the title track below.

Safeword
Safeword is basement music therapy for four friends from Dartmouth and Halifax, bringing honest, often danceable indie pop-rock to your ears. Comprising members of Shoulder Season, Darts, Skullocybin and Blackout 77, Safeword began recording at Oceanfloor Halifax during the pandemic, with Charles Austin and Franc Lopes. Band member Karen Foster had this to say about their new single ‘Food For Something Else’: "I was in a funk about getting older when I started writing ‘Food For Something Else,’ realizing that people born after 2000 are full grown adults. I wanted to snap myself out of it by reminding myself that some people don’t get to grow old. An indie rock ballad that ends triumphantly, ‘Food For Something Else’ is partly about somebody in my life who died really young. But most of the track is just me wrestling with how not to waste my life trying to stay youthful. The rest of the band stepped up and made a sad song into something that rocks. In writing it, I realized that I have to “throw my weight around before I go back underground.” You’re alive, why not make the best of it?" Listen below.

boci
boci (pronounced bocky) is a violin looper and singer songwriter based in Bristol, UK. After 5 years of playing in various alternative music projects and releasing her debut EP Long Walkin 2020 (under previous artist name Rebecca Shelley), boci is currently working on her first album. She incorporates the life-affirming soul of celtic folk into a modern, alternative/indie-pop sound with dreamy guitar-based grooves, and meandering, ethereal vocal melodies. boci’s lyrics transmit messages of inner healing, compassion, self-empowerment, connection to nature and the oneness of all beings. ‘The Garden’ is the first single from her debut album which is set to be released this Summer. ‘The Garden’ unites boci’s characteristic violin loops and finger-picked guitar grooves with sparkling production, lush vocal synths and ecstatic, blooming reverbs. boci moves between naturalistic yet surreal, dream-like imagery and exposed, direct lyrics centred around themes of anger, shame, juxtaposing realities, mental health and addiction. Listen to ‘The Garden’ below.
Osay
Hailing from the south suburbs of Chicago, Osay started singing at a young age and soon picked up rapping and freestyling after being inspired by lyricists such as Biggie Smalls and Eminem. Her music career started in 2016. During this time, she started dropping freestyles on social media and was recruited to ghost write for several artists. From that experience, she decided to pursue her own music career. In 2018, she moved to Atlanta where she interned at DJ Drama’s Mean Streets Studios and began to study and learn the recording and creative process of established artists. After Mean Streets, she spent 2 years in artist development polishing her sound by fusing her love of 90s/2000s R&B and hip-hop with today's musical landscape. Osay released her first EP, Chapter One… in May 2021. She currently owns and is signed to the independent label, Established in the 90s. Her latest single is ‘Alley Oop’. "’Alley Oop’ is a fun, up tempo R&B track that takes a bit of influence from the early 2000s sound,” sayd Osay. “It's very melody driven as I've always been drawn to catchy hooks and bouncy beats. I just want to create songs that are fun to listen to and hard to escape. For me, its about trying to make the most enjoyable music I can while still keeping it true to who I am." Listen below.

Ioanna
Ioanna is a singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, ON. She is currently working on an EP which is to be released before the end of the year. Ioanna’s distinct style features flavours from European and Middle Eastern influences which sets her apart from other artists in the city. ‘Another Level’ is Ioanna's (pronounced “You-wa-na's”) first release of 2022, and is also her first official collaboration with an artist outside the city of Toronto; Sobhhï. The song is a venture away from the pop releases she has shared in the past, and brings the best of both artists’ compelling stories, delivery and uniqueness. Listen below.

Erika Wester
Erika Wester is a singer-songwriter residing in Los Angeles, CA. Wester’s soft vocals provide a raw vintage appeal that spotlight her has a singer with real substance. Wester’s new song, ‘Novelty’, is a dreamy indie-rock song that explores the vulnerability of an old relationship through a nostalgic lens. Wester’s lyrics “the novelty of addiction” highlight cherishing relationships that do more harm than good. Listen below.

Kate Keller
Kate Keller is a singer-songwriter from NY, currently based in Chicago. Growing up, she busked at farmer's markets and competed in local music competitions, and went on to achieve a Bachelors degrees in Vocal Performance and Psychology. She recently moved to Chicago to pursue her PhD in clinical psychology, and upon arrival started writing her own music. She has since realised that pursuing music provides more genuine fulfillment for her and she will be leaving the program this semester to fully focus on music and prepare for her planned EP due for release in June. Her new single is called 'Disposable'. "This song is about coming to terms with being exploited and blindsided by an ex,” explains Kate. “I question and critique the relationship, trying to understand my own naiveté which enabled another person to use me. I get the opportunity to confront him when I never got to in person, and flip the blame from me to him. Sonically it is inspired by female-driven pop-punk songs (i.e., Drunk II by Mannequin Pussy, good 4 u by Olivia Rodrigo). Expressive guitar solos communicate the ferocity and vindictiveness I felt while writing and reflecting." Listen below.

ALT BLK ERA
ALT BLK ERA’s alternative music is filled with operatic sounds, harmonies, heavy basslines, dark strings, and rock– where their storytelling transports their listeners through worlds filled with both fantasy and hard-hitting realities. They are going to be releasing music each month and what they’ve done is create a solar and lunar version of each song. 'Slowly Die: Lunar' can be streamed below. "We wrote this song because violence against women and girls is still a huge problem in the UK and around the world,” explain the duo. “Too many women and girls are silenced by fear - hence why we released the track on International Women’s Day. Although this song is about women and girls we strongly believe it will also resonate with all,  as it is an issue that impacts us either directly or indirectly. This song is hard hitting. It’s about a frightened young girl’s hope that her perpetrator will get ill enough so he no longer has the strength to abuse her. We use layers of haunting voices to create our sound. Violins, electric guitar, and orchestral synths are all used to create an evocative atmosphere that leaves you feeling chilled."

"Usual Ashley behaviour", "Disgusting" - Lots of Newcastle fans react to Luke Edwards update
It appears that Mike Ashley’s tenure as owner of Newcastle United is going to end exactly how it started. Self-indulgent, a lack of communication and supporters still hating him.
The Greatest Bargains in Premier League history – How much did they cost?
World Class score: 95% | Expert score: 80% | Veteran score: 65% | Intermediate score: 45% | Amateur score: 30% | Try Again: 5%
Luke Edwards of the Daily Telegraph has revealed that current Magpies boss, Steve Bruce, is just as unknowing as the fanbase in regards to the ongoing takeover situation with the 59-year-old having no contact with his soon-to-be departed chief.
Steve Bruce STILL hasn’t been told what is happening with #nufc takeover. No contact with Mike Ashley, no guidance on timescale. All updates gained from media. Sums up the confusion at the club and the shoddy way this has been handled. Again. Like so much of the last 13 yrs
— Luke Edwards (@LukeEdwardsTele) April 27, 2020
And fans have been reacting to the revelation on Twitter, some taking fire at Ashley whilst some believe the veteran manager knew what he was getting into when taking over from Rafa Benitez.
There have been murmurs that the new Saudi-backed consortium led by Amanda Staveley will try to appoint their own choice of boss, but fresh updates like the one Edwards has given is hardly encouraging for anyone involved.
Bruce has been in charge since the summer and has steered the Magpies to a respectable 13th in the Premier League, some eight points off the relegation zone.
Here’s how supporters have been reacting…
Comes as absolutely no surprise, have to kind of feel sorry for the guy

Regardless of your opinion of Bruce this is shocking management but something we have regrettably become used to at #NUFC . I just wonder on what treatment Charnley will receive from his paymaster when it’s over…
— Eddie Temple (@TempleEddie) April 28, 2020
Shameful
— Jurke_89 (@89Jurke) April 27, 2020
The sooner mike ashley is out the better, joke of an owner, deserves absolutely nothing
— dave L (@Toon871) April 27, 2020
Bruce was warned about Ashley before he signed up by his mate Alan Shearer. The way he is being treated is par for the course and usual Ashley behaviour.
— Brian Huddart (@Doomlordster) April 27, 2020
Serves him right, he’s shat on enough former clubs. Make a deal with the devil….
— RH (@runboyrun35) April 27, 2020
How can you possibly feel sorry for him in this current climate? He absolutely screwed Wednesday and will get a couple of million pay out when there is people struggling to put food on their table
— Toby J Spencer (@TobyJSpencer) April 27, 2020
No sympathy for him, he knew what Ashley was like and he left Sheff Wed with no decency#NUFC #NUFCTakeover
— Geordie Ahmed (@GeordieAhmed) April 27, 2020
Steve Bruce knew what he was getting himself in for so I DONT feel sorry for him at all, and for the communication from the board yes 13 years of same crack and yet again @NUFC employees being treated like sports direct employees DIABOLICAL

Ashley to a tea, disgusting behaviour, the manager should be in the loop but it’s typical of his ownership. Disregard for everyone
— Gary Richardson (@gazmo71) April 27, 2020
AND in other news, Newcastle could make a Shearer-like statement of intent with move ELITE striker…

The Thing:Artbook - Who all is in this thing??
So, who all is involved with “The Thing:Artbook” you ask? Well, I am here to give you an answer. Listed below is the list of all the artists who have a piece that is included in the book. Some of them have more than one, some produced more than one, but we had to make hard decisions about inclusion.
When we started out on this project, an idea conceived last year in May, and once we had secured the approval from Universal Studios to move ahead, we had hoped to make it a book with primarily comic industry folks because that’s who we knew. Once we started to reach out to folks with information about the project the response was so positive, we decided to branch out a little and include some illustrator friends and designer folks. Again, the response was so overwhelmingly positive we decided to invite whoever we thought we could get on board. Then, people started coming to us as word of the project began to spread. We were blown away and humbled by the caliber of talent who have agreed to be a part of this book.
We hope you will be pleasantly surprised and excited as you go through the list below and see the participants listed. You will probably have heard about many of them already, but hopefully there will be some surprises as well.
The “The Thing: Artbook” will go live for pre-sales Tuesday March 7th at  7pm est at the link below.
The book is expected to ship the first week of July 2017.

"Rafa has played a blinder", "Class" - Loads of Newcastle fans love imminent piece of business
As reported by The Chronicle, Newcastle have nearly completed their first piece of January business with a loan deal for Lazio’s Jordan Lukaku – brother of Manchester United striker, Romelu.
The Belgian is seen as an option at left-back for Rafa Benitez, who has no depth beyond Paul Dummett in that role, and his pace and strength will surely be a huge asset for a Magpies side lacking any counter-attacking threat.
By the sounds of it, the past few weeks have been a headache for Benitez, who now seems to be at his wits end after minimal backing in the transfer window – the Spaniard had been tipped to leave this summer over a lack of signings this month and but now he’s got what he wished for.
The Chronicle also claim that a move for Gelson Martins seems dead in the water as the Portuguese winger looks set to join Monaco on loan instead, but there is still time for the St. James’ Park outfit to get a new winger in – the current crop have been disappointing this season, particularly Kenedy.
It’s not all doom and gloom though, as the imminent signing of the versatile Lukaku would add some much-needed depth to the Magpies back-line.
According to Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad, the 24-year-old will reportedly be available on a permanent deal for a jaw-dropping £19.1m in the summer and, if Newcastle like what they see in the coming months and wish to bring him back to Tyneside, he would become their record signing.
Here’s how the Toon Army reacted to the reports on Twitter…
Pretty sure Rafa has played a blinder here. Big Mike thought he had signed off on Romelu 😎
— Jimmy E (@JEmsden) January 24, 2019
I want to be cynical like the comments above but surely it a deal that helps Rafa to possibly decide to stay on (patience of a saint)and yet not fully committing the spending until a possible takeover (yes. I know) comes. A small step. 7 more days!
— John Herbert. (@johnherbert8) January 24, 2019
£19.1m for someone who has hardly played a game and had knee ligament issues ?
— NUFC Dave (@toondave2015) January 24, 2019
Potentially breaking our transfer record for a left back is SO Pardew.
— J (@J_92__) January 24, 2019
There is no way we will spend £19m on a cover left back because he won’t drop Dummett. He’s only agreed to come to us to show other teams in the prem how good he is to get a better club in the summer.
— steven jones (@towlawstev) January 24, 2019
No chance ???
