Kingston launches enterprise DC2000B NVMe SSD for data centers
The most recent data center SSD The Kingston DC2000B is a high-performance PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD designed for internal boot drives in high-volume rack-mount systems. Kingston Digital Europe Co LLP, a flash memory subsidiary of Kingston Technology.
The DC2000B is ideal for internal server boot drive applications and purpose-built systems applications that require high performance and reliability due to its 112-layer 3D TLC NAND and the latest Gen 4×4 PCIe interface. On-board hardware-based power loss protection (PLP), a data security feature uncommon on M.2 SSDs, is a feature of the Kingston DC2000B. In order to provide broad thermal compatibility across a wide range of system designs, it also has a new integrated aluminum heatsink.
As stated by Kingston EMEA’s the SSD business manager, Tony Hollingsbee, “Whitebox server manufacturers and Tier 1 server OEMs continue to equip their latest generation servers with M.2 sockets for boot purposes as well as internal data caching.” The DC2000B was designed to deliver the write endurance and performance needed to handle a variety of high duty cycle server workloads.The crucial front loading drive bays for data storage are preserved when the boot drives are moved inside the server.
The Kingston DC2000B is supported by a limited five-year warranty, free technical support, and renowned Kingston dependability. It comes in 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB capacities.

The Kingston DC2000B is a high-performance PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD with 112-layer 3D TLC NAND and the newest Gen 4×4 PCIe interface. Perfectly suited for usage in purpose-built systems that require a high-performance M.2 SSD with hardware-based on-board power loss protection (PLP) and high-volume rack-mount servers as an internal boot drive or drives to safeguard expensive front-loading drive bays. An integrated aluminum heatsink, which is new for the Kingston DC2000B, provides greater thermal compatibility for a variety of applications. Low latency and good IO consistency are provided by the DC2000B to manage a range of workloads, including high-speed application caching and boot drive applications. The Kingston DC2000B has a five-year guarantee and a write endurance rating of 0.4 DWPD.
