what if my ocs were termina, part 2! i loooove how these turned out. i think i'm really starting to get a handle on miro's style, and i'm learning so much i can use when i try to make my own games later :) The idea i had for this AU is that it's a previous (semi-failed) attempt at a termina festival, set in Rondon about 50 years before the game. the sulfur cult is growing, looking for sacrifices to feed their god, but Something's gone wrong. There were meant to be more than 6 players. There were definitely more than 6 players, at some point -- but then again, the festival's only just started, hasn't it? And where is Per'kele? I'm planning to draw moonscorched versions of everyone too so there will be a part 3 :)

kenji and brooklynn's relationship catalyst was trauma tbh like it might have been just a small affection and then the whole s3 finale happened and Kenji's fear of not being able to do something to save his loved ones from dying (sammy) tied to brooklynn being like a spark, esp after that scene...Rationalizing it bc it could've made sense to people if those copious scenes weren't there to distract. So basically more natural.

Fears ask game, for Darius: How afraid are you of being really, truly loved?

Darius tosses his hair over a bare shoulder with a bright, dazzling smile, shrugging so that his neckline falls a little below a collarbone, a flash of soft skin. “Not at all, love is…a fantasy, like any other, who’s afraid of a little fantasy? People can feel however they please about me, there’s enough love to go around, honey.”

His smile is brittle and his eyes flick nervously over your face, searching for the chink in the conversation that will allow him to slip through. He is kind of rattled - really, what that would even feel like, what would that even look like?

Being- being railed a few less times a week? How does that goddamn math average between being an object and being loved? Is it a dozen times less he has to fuck? Two or three less rounds of dick? Is it being a little more sure that whoever owns him is satisfied by his performance of gratitude and might let him fucking rest a little bit?

Honestly, true love sounds a hell of a lot like acting all the time, every day, being seen all the time, work unending, a ball to just one chain and not several - at least having a few links means options. Anyway, what would a whore do with love? What good would that do in a place like this?

This concept is a seven for him (a ten if he bought into the concept of love even being real for him, which he doesn't, of course) and he blinks wetly from under his lashes at you because now you’ve told him that what you want from him is a sweet little ingénue, pouting his lips in a seductive sadness.

but what if my OCS were termina???? this was soooooo much fun, miro's style is similar to mine in some ways and opposite in a lot of others, so I really had to stretch myself, and I learned a lot! this is the closest to painting i think i've ever gotten lol

robbie and I have talked about what the plot of a termina featuring these six would be, and I have a handful of screencaps I wanna make for it so those will be coming :)

if you mean like, a vacation, a couple of days to herself to do nothing and chill and such? the answer is never lmao. BUT i don't think katarina actually often pushes herself to the point of exhaustion if the situation doesn't demand it, or at least she prefers to avoid that if she can. the reasoning is simple: as much as she hates being idle, she is well aware being tired makes her more prone to mistakes, or to not react to things fast enough, or it takes a toll on her mind that can get in the way of judging a situation correctly. she knows well-rested is when she'll be at peak performance and be the unparalleled weapon noxus needs her to be. that is how she is more useful to the empire — and while she would gladly lay down her life for noxus, for the most part katarina knows she has more use alive than dead.

dying for the empire is a desperate last measure (such as in the comic, when she's ready to sacrifice herself to ensure the bomb won't cause the damage marcus intended it to, even if it costs her life). working herself to exhaustion to the point of near death is, usually, also a necessity rather than a choice (such as, you know, when she killed a king, fought the captain of the dauntless vanguard, stole a silverwing, was wounded by said silverwing, fell to what would likely be her death if not for the magical forest beneath, had the demonic ravens wake her up with a terrible nightmare, and didn't get a moment to rest until two weeks later when she got back to noxus and found drann).

which isn't to say she doesn't often work herself too hard, because she definitely doesn't rest as much as she should. she gets as little sleep as is necessary to function well (and her sleeping times are all fucked up, between assassinations, traveling, and if we're also considering my hc of her being the faceless, the fact she's also in those meetings with the trifarix sometimes). so without meaning to, she is rather prone to working too much and getting too close to exhaustion way too often.

if you want her to take some holidays you'll have to force her to i'm afraid. she hates being idle and would spend too much time of her vacation itching to do something useful because on day 2 she'd already be this was enough rest let me get back to work --
