casually skitters over to my idea board and pins a 'write season 2 of cyberkidz' notecard to it

i finished watching the episodes, but not the full stream.

Kidz DID die at the end of Finale Part One, but some force prevented them from being Dead. Only way I can explain Ian's survival. The force tried to save them with as few scars as possible, and get rid of the memory of the death, but Kyle's Main Character Energy made sure he remembered- and still felt it. They do have some scars, but nothing too noticable. They just assume they got the scars in all the fighting, and never noticed.

Kidz [minus Ian, he got vaporized by the headset, not zapped by it. If he's not dead, he's not with the others at minimum] and Zeist end up... somewhere. Definitely not Cyberland OR Earth. They fight over the gloves and visors, only to find out that they're all fried, and they need a different way back.

Zak is, still not very chatty. And Danica is trying to take charge and lead everyone, but has no clue where they are. Zeist seems to know something, but he's certainly not going to tell the Cyberbratz. Why should he, after all? They've done nothing but mess things up for him.

Kyle is trying to ignore the pain, which he hadn't felt due to adrenaline. But after falling into this new world and landing on the injury, he couldn't ignore it quite so easily. Danica and Zeist are too busy bickering to notice [and tossing each other- yes im making Danica stronger, yes I'm making Danica more durable, Zeist fist fights a child and loses], and Zak is too busy with his casual exploration of the area they're currently in.

Beyond that, I'm still thinking. I'm open to suggestions, however.

i would LOVE to know more about cyberkidz but i really don't think danica's actress would appreciate opening her email at her successful job as a doctor and seeing some chump from the internet asking her about a shitty obscure tv show she was on as a kid

HERE IT IS THE MOMENT IVE BEEN WAITING 4 MONTHS FOR RAGHHHHH 💥💥💥💥💥💥

Cyberkidz is the best worst weirdest show that almost never made it to the light of day. It's about 4 kids, Kyle, Ian, Danica, and Zack: KIDZ. All from different countries they go into a VR world where they aid in the local resistance against the dictator Zorack ruler of Cyberland and his lackys Zeist and Dr Fubbles.

They are aided by a man trapped in Cyberland by Zorack named Floyd, King Bing, leader of the resistance, and his friend Quix the Rabbit.

The team goes off on generally episodic journeys into Cyberland against Xyloid robots and Zorack and Zeist's attempts to break into the real world and rule the universe.

The show is remarkable in that it's dialogue, editing, and logic are absolutely dog shit and it's really funny. Though costuming is surprisingly high quality, reminiscent of old Star Trek or Dr Who episodes.

The show was cancelled before they had even aired and was successfully never aired in the US as originally planned. However, as it turns out, it did end up airing in several non English speaking countries such as Italy on very small networks.

These versions are lost, but the original episodes with the "not for broadcast" stamp on them are still around.

It's free to watch on YouTube , and why should you? Because of the ending of the show, nothing in the world has ever captivated me the way this show's ending has. I genuinely think about it all the time. Please, if you watch ANYTHING on this blog watch this show. It's only 12 (13 if you count the two part finale as two episodes) 22 min episodes and don't require any kind of subscription to watch. Please please please please watch!

one thing in cyberkidz that lends itself to unintentional comedy is the age disparity between the cyberkidz themselves. kyle is a BABY hes like 8 years old. ian's about the same age as him. its impossible to tell how old zack is. he could be anywhere from 7 to 12. and danica is just a freshman in high school

DETAIL I DIDN'T NOTICE AT ALL UNTIL NOW: when the cyberkidz first meet quix, he says something in a different language. we also see this when zak lands in the disgusting green slop at the start; the vendor isnt speaking english.

the xyloids speak english when they encounter the kids, and zorak and zeist speak english amongst themselves

BUT after quix first speaks to them, kyle does something with his glove, there's a sound effect, and then quix speaks to them in english. IS THE IMPLICATION THAT THE GLOVES ARE TRANSLATING THE LANGUAGE OF CYBERLAND FOR THE KIDS???

zorak and zeist might have been speaking this language in-universe, but we didn't see it because we're the audience, so the show just depicts it in english. and they very well might know english because of their plans to take over earth + they may have taught it to the xyloids. and the bouncer at the malt shop speaks english too.

so maybe there's two official languages in cyberland? this is possible because there are signs/writing in both english and in a fictional script, which could be the language quix and the vendor were speaking

but there's also the assumption that danica and zak don't speak the same language as kyle and ian, since theyre children who live in russia and japan (its possible they're learning english in school, but they wouldn't be that fluent yet). so we can ALSO assume that the gloves translate for them, and they're all able to understand each other.

BUT!!! in the finale, when their gloves are stolen and they meet up in person, they're still able to communicate and all speak english! and danica consistently messes up english sayings/adages, which might imply that she's partially fluent in english

TLDR: i dont think any of this matters and i ESPECIALLY don't think the cyberkidz showrunners were thinking about the translating capabilities of the gloves WHATSOEVER but i also think its funny to make long meta posts about the show Cyberkidz
