rockstar au... i accidentally built it while writing "this is a love story"....

Dani and Jorge and Vale all together in a world-wide famous rock band that have to get a replacement for Casey after he fucks off to retirement because he's tired of vale's bullshits... and they have to do it super soon because they've got a new album that's just coming out and have scheduled a world tour. and ideally it should be a long term thing because going through too many guitarist would be detrimental to the image of the band as a 'united' group

And Marc who is a super fan but also a classically trained guitarist slash musical genius that through various endeavors gets Vale to listen to his stuff and vale goes omg... i need to meet this super talented almost unknow twenty years old... so he fucks off to spain and auditions marc without telling jorge and dani and like. listens to marc for three seconds and tell him he's hired without even consulting the others and brings him back to london where they should rehearse.

etc etc many things happen during the tour vale and marc fuck like crazy instead of writing songs and dani and jorge don't even realize because they are fucking like crazy when they are not hitting each other with the respective musical instruments.

they write an album, make another world tour, everybody is still fucking, pedrenzo are having faux hate sex and licking tequila from each other's sweaty bodies in the club, rosquez are snorting cocaine from each other's abs, you know normal rockstar thing. marc is beloved by the fanbase, they rise in popularity, marc and vale sometimes get this close to fucking on stage.

but then they have to write another album. jorge and vale keep arguing about everything, uccio who's vale's personal manager does evil uccio things, marc proposes to write more on his own and vale takes it as a personal insult and proof marc is trying to throw him out of his own band, everybody has a terrible time. Vale goes crazy and like, hints at marc's percived evil plan during a concert, and literally like the day after talks to the press and publicly divorces marc. Marc replies by releasing an auto-produced song (like. literally a demo) where he clearly slanders him, and hard. But they still contractually have to get an album out, so while everybody keeps having a terrible time they finish it through gritted teeth and then split as a band.

pedrenzo get out of the band basically married and rosquez get out of the band as divorced as john lennon and paul mccartney when they ended the beatles. To complete the image, picture dani signing the band divorce papers in the same way george harrison did.

ps: if you wander what kind of shenanigans rosquez did on stage when they where in a situationship, picture the last shadow puppets. if you don't know who they are, ouch, i'm hurt, but here are some examples of... whatever they do/did (the homoerotic solo hug (ignore the weird ass camera angle pls)) (coachella) (every single rendition of standing next to me they ever did) (compilation of some of their gayes weirdest moments (key word: some))

That's a tough one. I would say that Love Bites is probably a good one to start on. It's a stand-alone fic and it's lighthearted. My series/multi-chapter fics are always going to be near to my heart and I will always want to recommend them, but I think a good starting place is probably the Hickey Crack Fic😂

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

I don't know if this counts, but Coffee Shop AUs. I used to hate them. Like I would actively ignore them. But now I tend to enjoy them. They're very cozy.

The last fic I read was Dani's haha. It's called Aftershocks, it's a Top Gun fic, and yes, I do recommend it. I beta/edit for it, so you can trust me when I say it's good. New chapter should be coming out soon if @the-navistar-carol ever posts it👀

im thinking lennon is the daughter of massive hippies who were always blasting 70s music around the house and she grew up in a hippie commune until she was like... 13ish? when her parents were called back to their hometown of nyc bc her maternal grandparents died and come to find out theyre actually like... quite well off and her parents have had her living in bfe for years bc they wanted to ~rebel~ against the privilege they came from and wash their clothes in the creek and not use deodorant or whatever idk her maternal grandfather was like, a venture capitalist or something and her maternal grandmother was a socialite and former actress who had been edged out of the industry due to scandal (and her family, tbh, but as she'd already gained access to her inheritance and it was legally hers, nobody could take it from her)

so lennon grows up with all these basic life skills but her education is severely lacking and her social skills are not quite there so she was the awkward girlie who had very few friends when she was up and moved to manhattan to live a life of luxury. despite having all this access to like, the best clothes and a treasure trove of antique jewelry, she has been known to rock up to her elite private school in the city in sweats with holes in them. her peers definitely try to ugly duckling her and make "the perfect girl" out of her and see her as a big project

it was at 14 that she stumbled into music, finding her maternal grandfather's collection of vintage guitars, and falling in love. i think i'm stealing the guitar collection of tommy gunn for this bit of her background tbh bc holy hell was that amazing

PL Mam problem z The Beetles, wprost nie trawię Paula McCartneya i Johna Lennona, to nie jest nawet specjalnie racjonalne, po prostu nie jestem w stanie ich oglądać organicznie mnie irytują. Ale jednocześnie popełnili sporo fantastycznych piosenek, i niezaprzeczalnie to niesamowici artyści. Nie ma prawdziwej rockowej playlisty bez The Beatles.

EN I have a problem with The Beatles; I absolutely can't stand Paul McCartney and John Lennon. It's not even particularly rational, I just can't watch them — they irritate me on a visceral level. But at the same time, they created a lot of fantastic songs, and undeniably, they're incredible artists. There's no real rock playlist without The Beatles song.

Danièle Ciarlet, AKA Zouzou, has become one of the most revered - even though quite obscure for most - icons of the 60s Parisian scene. Discovered at age 16 by then young design artist Jean-Paul Goude, she briefly modeled for Yves Saint Laurent, and, as a tireless night-clubber, was better known, in the early 60s, under the nickname "Zouzou la twisteuse". Shortly after that, she got romantically involved with Rolling Stones member Brian Jones, whom she followed around the world. She was also a good friend of John Lennon and George Harrison and was photographed by Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton, met Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol and most of all, Jack Nicholson who remained, along with Marianne Faithfull, very... faithful friends. She also recorded two EPs as a singer at the end of the 60s, and a duet with Dani, another French 60s icon. After a few roles in underground and experimental French films (under the direction of Philippe Garrel or Yves Lagrange), she got a cinematographic breakthrough in 1972 with Eric Rohmer's L'amour l'après-midi, and developed an international career as an actress, a career which unfortunately, and progressively, slowed down because of her addiction to heroin. She spent seven years on the Cariibean Island of Saint Barthélémy to shape up, but her return to Paris, in the mid-80s, was followed by two jail incarcerations due to mild drug dealings. In the mid-90s, drug free at last, she got a fresh start solding the newspapers "La rue" and "Le réverbère" (the equivalent of British "The Big Issue") in the Parisian metro. In November 2003, the autobiography "Zouzou jusqu'à l'aube" ("Zouzou until Dawn") was released, in which she recounted with utmost honesty the extreme ups and downs of her incredible life. A compilation of all her songs was also released, and a documentary, "Zouzou l'héroïne", told in images the fate of probably one of the most beautiful woman of the world, revered as the "female Marlon Brando" when she burst into the Parisian scene.
